I don't have much to say this time, so I'll just talk about some of the original behind-the-scenes details about the plot and the differences between what you see now.

Because I had written a simple campus story before, and the things I had experienced since then had changed my mind, I thought about writing something a little strange, unconventional, and slightly twisted, but it was still essentially a fairy tale.

The following is the original plan and not part of the main plot. Please read at your own discretion:

Actually, the initial concept wasn't as gentle as it is now. In the original concept, Su Yuejin was a hidden masochist and a spoiled rich girl who lacked love. Xu Qinghuan's initial character was a woman with an extremely strong desire for control, but she understood Lin An's hidden behavioral core, so she knew she couldn't be with him directly. She needed to wait for Lin An to grow up, but Lin An had already grown into a shape that the two of them were destined not to be very compatible and needed more time to work things out. So they repeatedly pushed and pulled each other, getting entangled, but they fell into an increasingly deeper vortex.

Then there's Xiao Chacha, which is even more outrageous. She's a fake lesbian due to long-term self-suggestion. Thinking about it this way... doesn't this book seem absurd?

But the actual plot changed because of Lin An. Lin An was not heartless. He would still comfort Su Yuejin, guide her in the right direction, and take care of her weakness and loneliness. Although he did not give her love, he gave her the support and companionship she needed.

Lin An gave Xiao Chacha the desires she wanted and protected her weaknesses. Lin An would also gently guide Xiao Chacha, teaching her things she didn't know, so that Xiao Chacha could also become correct and gentle.

As for her older sister, she is selfish towards everyone, so because of love, she is especially generous and gentle towards one person, which is why she is the Xu Qinghuan she is today.

Finally, let's talk about Lin An. He is the most difficult male protagonist I have ever written. There is a very useful technique for writing a character's personality: you have to deduce what he experienced in his childhood based on his current personality. Childhood experiences are the factors that lead to the formation of his personality later on. So Lin An is more difficult to deduce. He cannot lack love from childhood to adulthood, otherwise his personality will be very extreme. So he had Xu Qinghuan and adoptive parents. But he could not have long-term support, so his adoptive parents died.

He needs to learn to understand human nature and social dynamics, but the opportunity arises because of Xu Qinghuan. He needs to understand the truth about love because he lacks love. He cannot be a jerk because he always has someone he loves in his heart. However, he can also be swayed by desires because he is also a real person, not a saint.

He may be dismissive of love, but he always believes in it, even if he feels he has never truly experienced it. But he doesn't love no one; he doesn't even love himself. His behavior is more extreme than Su Yuejin's. Su Yuejin's initial indifference was fake, a self-suggestion that she didn't care about anything, but he truly didn't care, caring about almost everything except Xu Qinghuan.

Fortunately, so far, at least up to chapter eighty of the story I've written so far, I'm quite satisfied with Lin An's performance.

As for those distorted things above, just enjoy them for fun. I actually thought a lot about them and wrote something light and refreshing, which might be a little bit like taking stomach medicine, but the sweeter things that follow will be much more interesting than what I wrote above.

That's the true meaning of the story. It's not just about sensationalism or softcore pornography. Those things that stimulate the senses... are all meaningless once the sensory stimulation wears off.

Or perhaps this is the original direction the story should have taken. But in reality, the male protagonist is ultimately a gentle and kind person. His gentleness and kindness changed many things that were originally gloomy and dull, making the story cheerful and bringing happiness to those around him. In this process, he gradually understood the true meaning of love.

This is the meaning given to Lin An's existence; this is who he is.
