"Are you planning to go to Laterano?"

Wayne waved his hand: "No, no, no, I don't plan to go that far. The Laterans are coming to Lungmen."

"Did you come for me?"

Vina asked with a worried look. Wayne pursed his lips:

"Have you forgotten Wei Yanwu? About the silver pendant?"

Vina nodded in realization. Things would be much easier in Lungmen. Vina would absolutely not let Wayne go to Laterano alone; the feud between Victoria and Laterano was already established, and whether he could return unscathed was uncertain.

But if it's Lungmen, there's no need to worry so much. Lungmen Governor Wei Yanwu was just tricked by Wayne, and now Wayne has leverage over him. He doesn't dare to side with the Laterans.

However, Vina still had some concerns:

"What do the Laterans want with you?"

“They’re probably here to give me money,” Wayne laughed. “But it’s probably not that simple. You know the person who came to see me, Urbino.”

Urbino?

Vina silently repeated the name in her mind, her beautiful eyebrows furrowing, and it took her a long time to finally utter an "Oh".

Wayne's lips twitched; judging from his expression, he probably hadn't remembered.

He could only spread his hands and explain:

"The former plenipotentiary of the Lateran Victoria parish. Before Mostima took over, he was my bridge between Lateran and the parish."

"Which big idiot you swindled so much money from?" Vina finally remembered the name, though she still couldn't recall what he looked like.

Wayne shook his head: "He's not stupid, on the contrary, he's very smart."

"Then aren't you in danger?"

“But he’s one of us,” Wayne said calmly.

Vayne had heard about Urbino's stance from Mostima, the Lateran traitor. While the entire Lateran papacy harbored doubts about Vayne, Urbino alone maintained absolute trust in him. He even went so far as to rebuke those who questioned Vayne's stance and loyalty with harsh words that Vayne found somewhat shameful. These included several very senior cardinals.

Wayne was grateful for Urbino's efforts. But he also knew that Urbino's trust in him was abnormal. Even the most foolish person would realize something was wrong when they saw so much money spent without making a ripple, while the enemy was thriving. But Urbino alone insisted that Wayne was perfectly fine, had done his best, and even openly said, as Victoria's influence grew, that if Wayne had come, they would have won everything.

Rather than saying he had absolute trust in himself, it would be more accurate to say he had no choice but to trust himself.

Their interests were intertwined. Wayne quickly figured this out. And once this guess was confirmed, Wayne no longer needed to worry about Urbino being detrimental to him.

Firstly, he lacked the ability, and secondly, Wayne was his political achievement. Without Wayne, Urbino's status would not only not rise, but would plummet. This was a lose-lose situation, something a sophisticated egoist would never do.

“Our people..”

Vina nodded. She didn't understand the details and couldn't guess why, but since Wayne was so sure, she didn't doubt it either.

My brother's judgment has never been wrong. If you can't understand something, it's simply because your own cultivation hasn't reached its full potential yet!

"Should we tell Theresa?" Vina asked.

Wayne thought for a moment and nodded: "Go ahead. But don't let her come along. Lateran and Victoria's relationship is already not very good. If there's also Theresa, a Sarkaz, it might be even harder for me to make this money."

As he spoke, he glanced behind Vina and, not seeing Theresa, was somewhat surprised:

"Isn't she with you?"

Theresa went out by herself. I don't know what she went to do.

Vina shrugged. It was already 11 a.m. when she got up. Having slept in and turned her nap into a full-blown afternoon nap, Vina was prepared to be lectured by Theresa. But when she went to the living room, she didn't see Theresa, but instead saw milk and bacon and eggs on the table.

Theresa prepared breakfast for her, with a small note beside it: I'm going out, I'll be back before dinner, you and Mr. Bruce can go out for lunch.

Vina picked up the bacon and egg and took a bite. It had gotten so cold that it had hardened, and she even chipped her tooth.

Theresa must have left home quite early.

After listening to Vina's account, Wayne nodded noncommittally.

.........

Theresa arrived at the Lungmen transfer area alone. There were few people in the transfer area today, except for some workers unloading goods and a few security guards loitering around.

Theresa walked to a secluded corner, took out her phone, and answered Kal'tsit's call:

"Kal'tsit, why did you call me out in such a hurry? What's the matter?"

Kal'tsit's cool and serious voice came from the phone: "Your Highness, I've arrived in Lungmen."

Theresa was slightly taken aback and asked in surprise, "You've come to Lungmen? So suddenly? Why?"

"The list of Babel members is complete, and I need your help to gather most of them."

The Tower of Babel...

Theresa opened her mouth, but said nothing, and nodded knowingly.

The Tower of Babel was originally an organization she planned to form to counter the military council controlled by Theresis. But now that she has decided to formally return to the military council and regain power, the Tower of Babel's existence has become somewhat redundant.

What about a secret organization?

It's not impossible, and Kal'tsit has always had a keen eye for talent; the people she chooses often demonstrate amazing abilities. With such a personal force, Theresa has no reason to refuse.

But Kal'tsit hadn't finished speaking:

"There is one more thing, Your Highness. I have officially deciphered the data on Rembiton's ruins. The excavation work requires your approval before it can proceed."

"Your Highness, this may be the first ancient relic we have discovered that can be restored and used on a large scale!"

Chapter 100: Opportunity to Intervene in the Ruins

Theresa couldn't contain her surprise; her mouth agape, she asked incredulously:

"Kal'tsit, do you mean you've discovered a large ancient ruin in Rembiton, and that this ruin might even be restored and utilized?"

Kal'tsit on the other end of the microphone nodded solemnly: "Yes, that's what I mean, Your Highness."

Theresa took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. Even so, her voice still carried an barely suppressed excitement:

"This will be a fresh start, an opportunity for the Sarkaz to rise again!"

The rise of Laterano was largely due to the vast number of ancient ruins they possessed, while the decline of the Sarkaz was largely due to the loss of those ancient heritages.

To this day, firearms remain the exclusive domain of the Sarkaz of Laterano. Even though large mercenary companies like Blacksteel International are able to replicate them to some extent, the key technologies, such as the highly lethal revolver and the single-shot shotgun with its immense power, have never been released to the market.

An undiscovered ancient ruin can bring unimaginable wealth to a country. If there is something within the ruin that can be restored, it could become a major event that attracts the attention and competition of many countries across Terra. If the ruin is undamaged and usable, such as an ancient armory like Laterano, it could potentially change the current political landscape.

Kal'tsit has accomplished something that will go down in history!

Theresa was overjoyed, even more so than when she last saw the Kal'tsit maid outfit that Wayne had sent her.

Kal'tsit paused briefly, then casually remarked:

"Your Highness, how is Prince Wayne's condition?"

"Wayne?" Theresa's face showed a teasing expression, as if she wanted to laugh but held it back. "Kal'tsit can care about others now?"

“I often ask you the same question, Your Highness!” Kal'tsit replied calmly, as if she had anticipated Theresa’s ridicule.

"But you've never shown any concern for other people, especially men, when you've talked to me. Nor have you ever dressed up as a maid and cooked in front of me."

"That's what Theresa said."

Kal'tsit coughed awkwardly twice:

"Can we not talk about this?"

"Once you come to Lungmen, I'll make a copy of what you and Wayne did, and then I won't mention it again."

“...Okay.” Kal'tsit replied with difficulty.

Theresa could picture Kal'tsit's blushing expression. Luckily, Theresa didn't know many of the inside jokes, otherwise she would definitely be thinking, "Why is this old woman acting like a virgin?"

After the joke was over, Theresa nodded:

“Mr. Bruce is fine. He’s perfectly fine, even better than before he came to Lungmen.”

Kal'tsit breathed a sigh of relief. Although she had already learned from Ernest that Prince Wayne was safe and sound, she still felt uneasy until she confirmed it herself.

Hearing Theresia say that, Kal'tsit asked curiously, "Why?"

"He's gotten stronger, Kal'tsit. Mr. Bruce has once again broadened my understanding of Originium Arts based on mental abilities."

Kal'tsit rarely heard such praise from Theresa. They were both people who had lived for a long time and had seen all kinds of situations.

"How to say?"

"She used a series of schemes to have Wei Yanwu completely under her control. One part of the scheme involved using an intelligence gap to set a trap for Wei Yanwu. To achieve this, she needed to create something big enough to attract Wei Yanwu's attention."

"What did he do?" Kal'tsit's interest was piqued, and she was annoyed by Theresa's suspenseful behavior.

"He controlled an entire block of tens of thousands of people and blew up the electricity meters at the Lungmen Power Plant."

"Blowing up the electricity meter?"

Kal'tsit blinked, somewhat puzzled. What was so surprising about that?

But the next second, she realized what was happening and couldn't help but exclaim:

"Tens of thousands?!"

Kal'tsit already knew that Vayne's Originium Arts, Destiny's Authority, could control those with lower mental strength than him. Back in Columbia, they even used this ability to turn the tide in a desperate situation, breaking through the encirclement set up by the rebellious military forces outside the New York State Financial Exchange, capturing the chief judge of the council, and obtaining crucial criminal data on the Loken Water Tank Laboratory.

There were only a few hundred people there. Although Kal'tsit had never seen a master of Originium Arts who could control hundreds of people single-handedly, it was not too outrageous and was within Kal'tsit's acceptable range.

But a neighborhood with tens of thousands of people...

This is no longer a matter of whether it's acceptable or not; it's a matter of whether it's understandable or not!

I've never seen anything like this before.

The regret Kal'tsit had just suppressed about not being able to go to Lungmen with Wayne instantly surged back. As someone with the heart of a scholar, nothing was more regrettable than not being able to witness a miracle that might only happen once in a lifetime.

"Moreover, I can't see the slightest sign of fatigue in him. Although he pretends to be tired, I can... cough cough, sense his mental strength. There is no sign of his mental strength weakening in the slightest."

Kal'tsit gasped again.

The temperature in Terra rose another degree.

Theresa suddenly thought of something and asked:

"Kal'tsit, do you think we need to tell Prince Wayne about this? About the ruins."
