After hearing this, Jack simply curled his lip. What a load of rubbish! It had no impact whatsoever. Too traditional, really just a simple insult to the other side to encourage his men. And frankly, the speech itself wasn't very good. It's quite a feat for those idiots in the Black Bear Gang to be encouraged so easily.

"Hey, we Red Rock Society members are a bit smarter." Just as Jack was thinking this, he turned around to look, then covered his face and turned back. Sure enough, the world has no shortage of idiots; they're everywhere.

Because of that one glance back, Jack saw that many people were starting to look worried, and some were even whispering among themselves. Even though Jack couldn't hear what they were saying, he knew it wasn't anything nice.

Wow, this won't do. We've already lost half the battle before it even started. Morale is completely gone, and both sides are just a motley crew. They'll be complete idiots on the battlefield, far inferior to the Revolutionary Army and the World Government's warriors. It'll just be a contest of numbers and morale.

Jack was unaware that after Peter arrived, he advised Benny to avoid complicated tactics and instead engage in direct combat.

Then, in front of the two armies, deliver a righteous and honorable speech, belittling Jack and elevating yourself to an unparalleled status. In this way, before the battle even begins, you can sway a portion of the troops.

Furthermore, it would be advantageous for spies in the rear to stage a mutiny. The spies could then take advantage of the situation, abduct a small group of people, and launch a mutiny directly from the rear during the battle, thus launching a pincer attack and catching the people in the middle off guard.

Of course, it takes time for the rumors to ferment, for the doubts and unease in people's hearts to grow, and for spies to make moves behind the scenes of the Red Rock Society, to deceive and divide its members.

This is why Benny didn't immediately launch an attack after speaking, but instead remained in place waiting. He wore a wide smile, appearing confident of victory. It was truly remarkable that such a strong and imposing man could smile so broadly.

But if Benny reveals his true intentions after those words and launches a direct attack, then Jack will be in a difficult position.

But you actually gave me, Jack, a chance to speak. Don't you know that when it comes to arguing, if I, Jack, am second to none, then no one can claim to be first?

Jack sneered inwardly, "You, a gangster, dare to talk to me about good and evil? Since you want to die, I'll grant your wish and talk to you about true good and evil. I'll let you, this worthless scum, see my strongest power."

Chapter 55 Coach, I Want to Play Basketball

Jack slowly walked out of the crowd, feigning profundity, and said, "The fate of heaven changes, divine artifacts are replaced, and they belong to the virtuous; this is the natural order."

Of course, as it turns out, feigning profundity and trying too hard to be sophisticated has always been undesirable. As soon as Jack opened his mouth and saw Benny's completely bewildered expression, he knew he had said the wrong thing.

Jack turned around and saw that, sure enough, apart from Fujitora, who was born in Wano Country, everyone else looked completely bewildered.

No culture, it's scary.

Jack mentally slapped himself hard, thinking, "How can I always forget that there are plenty of smart people in this world, but idiots are the majority. Damn it, everyone else can only be cool for three seconds, but I can't even be cool."

When Jack first met Dragon, he was able to act alongside him because Dragon had received a higher education. Now, this group of gangsters are practically a bunch of Muggles; it would be a miracle if they understood what he was saying. Only Fujitora, who came from Wano Country, and Haku, who had received ideological education within the Revolutionary Army, truly agreed with what Jack just said.

"Alright. There's nothing I can do about it. I'll save this show for when I run into some cultured people. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future. I'll have to deal with the Navy sooner or later anyway." Jack sighed helplessly to himself. "Since they can't understand it, I'll translate it into plain language. It'll lower the level of sophistication, but it'll be enough to deal with these idiots."

"This territory is not static. Every time the situation changes, it will only be obtained by virtuous people. This is an unchanging principle of natural law." Jack had no choice but to explain it again in front of these idiots.

"And I, Captain Jack, am the virtuous one. So I took Joyce and Hans's territory, and now I will take your territory, Benny's, and make Pacqui City unified and prosperous."

"Everyone here knows that since the arrival of three underground gangs—the Wolf Fang Gang of Asia City, the Mercury Group of Royal Capital Gran, and the Villain Party—ten years ago, the country has been embroiled in endless conflict. Local residents, as well as foreign merchants, travelers, and workers, have all suffered greatly from the struggles between these various forces. Just these past few days, with our two gangs fighting, people have been hiding indoors at night, fearing they might be caught in the crossfire. And in these past ten years, countless people have fallen in gang or other power struggles, living in constant fear that misfortune will befall them one day."

These words may not resonate deeply with others, but they are most deeply felt by those who were originally ordinary people, craftsmen, merchants, or stranded pirates who were eventually forced to join gangs when they had nowhere else to turn.

Yes, before joining a gang, I lived in constant fear, afraid that disaster would strike me one day.

And what happens after joining a gang?

"Those people have endured too much suffering, and some, driven to desperation, joined gangs of all sizes. I believe that among your Black Bear Gang and the people behind me, there must be many who were originally ordinary people, even good people. But what did they do after joining? They started doing what gangs do, learning to oppress the people, learning to extort ships, learning everything they had previously accepted. Have they become corrupt? Have they fallen?"

Jack shouted, “No. They understand that if he doesn’t do these bad things, someone else will, and if he doesn’t, he’ll be the one who gets blackmailed and extorted.”

These words evoked a lot of emotion. A member of the Red Rock Society pushed aside the spy who approached and said, "Marvin, you don't need to say anything more. Captain Jack has such insights, he must be a good person. I'll follow him for life."

This Marvin is indeed the same Marvin who was the doorman at the back door when Jack first went to the Crimson Rock Tavern.

Marvin was also a little surprised by the push. Just a moment ago, they had agreed to rebel against Captain Jack together, but after just a few words from Jack, he became determined.

The others around them, who had initially been persuaded by Marvin's silver tongue, were now beginning to waver as well.

Unable to see the actions behind him, Jack continued, "And I, Captain Jack, have done two good deeds in just a few days since arriving on this island. First, I eliminated Joyce, and second, I took over the Ironwood Society. Everyone has seen the changes these past few days. Since I took over these two gangs, I have been restraining the members, preventing them from doing those bad things, and instead managing their businesses reasonably. Because I believe that as long as everyone can break free from that state, they can definitely become good people again."

"Now, in the vast city of Pacqui, only your Black Bear Society remains as a reactionary force. But as I said, I am willing to give anyone a chance. Now, Benny, you must not turn your back on the masses and the residents of Pacqui. As the saying goes, those who follow the will of Heaven prosper, and those who defy it perish. Now, my Red Rock Society has the support of the entire nation. Don't overestimate yourself and rush headlong into the fire like a moth."

Wow, now it wasn't just Jack's backers who were wavering; even many of Benny's men were starting to falter.

Meanwhile, faint sounds emanated from the houses surrounding the square. With the two major gangs locked in a life-or-death battle right outside their doorsteps, how could anyone sleep? They were all hiding under their beds or in jars, praying for the day to pass.

They heard what Jack said. People who were indifferent to the matter and only wanted to get through the night peacefully now had another wish: that Jack would win. Of course, they didn't dare to come out and cheer directly, so they could only pray silently.

Finally, Jack earnestly pleaded with Benny the Black Bear, "Benny the Black Bear, stop being so stubborn. You can't possibly defeat the entire city of Paqui. If you lay down your weapons and surrender politely, you won't lose your position as a leader, you'll be in line with the will of the people, and there won't be any fighting. Everyone will be happy. If you still don't surrender, then the good people behind you will never forgive you."

"Hmph, good people, now that everyone's in this line of work, what good people are left?" Benny knew that if he didn't quickly interject and say something, he would really have to surrender in this battle.

Upon hearing this, Jack angrily retorted, "If you don't want to be a good person, I won't stop you, but that doesn't mean others don't want to be good people either. I advise you not to stop others either."

Just as those words were spoken, Johnny, a revolutionary soldier standing in the front row, had a sudden inspiration. He took two steps out of the line, knelt down behind Jack, and cried out with tears streaming down his face, "Captain Jack, I want to be a good man."

Chapter Fifty-Six: Betrayal and Abandonment

"Wow, wow! I never expected that Johnny, the squad leader who's been with me all the way from Baltimore, would not only be a good fighter but also so clever. Beneath his burly exterior lies a sensitive heart. Although his acting is a bit exaggerated, it's enough to fool these people. Damn, he has to be given a big commendation when we get back; being a squad leader is clearly a waste of his talents."

Jack was overjoyed by this unexpected turn of events; having a great teammate was just too awesome.

Don't say these people are easy to fool. Bucky is the god of deception. He can fool all kinds of dangerous, high-bounty criminals. He's practically got a halo around him. Compared to him, Jack is still too green.

Johnny took the lead, and the other revolutionary soldiers followed suit, kneeling down and saying in choked voices, "Captain Jack, we want to be good people."

With those few kneeling, the others found an outlet for their emotions, and the members of the Red Rock Society all knelt down, weeping and begging. A clattering sound, and everyone knelt.

Marvin and the other spies mixed in with them were in a bit of a predicament. They had no choice but to submit; if they didn't follow the ghost, they would be beaten to a pulp by everyone.

Jack took the opportunity to turn around and said to the kneeling crowd, "Now I declare that no matter what you did before, as long as you don't do it again, you are all good people. But tomorrow you must go and apologize to the people you have extorted and hurt before."

Those who received Jack's forgiveness wept uncontrollably, and one could faintly hear words like "Long live good people" and "Long live Jack."

This verbal attack backfired spectacularly, leaving Benny with nothing but losses. Not only did it fail to achieve its intended effect, it also solidified the Red Rock Society, causing many within it to waver. Had Benny not glared at them fiercely and intimidated them with his intimidating reputation, they might have knelt before Jack on the spot.

Benny knew things were going to fall apart if things continued like this, but his muscular brain couldn't come up with a good solution for the time being, and he could only sit there anxiously.

Fortunately, Peter, a seasoned veteran of CP3, stood beside him. Beneath Peter's cool exterior, there was a hint of grievance; but what could he do when he was stuck in such a troublesome situation, working with an idiot?

Peter whispered a few words to Benny, and Benny perked up again after hearing them.

He hurriedly shouted, "Listen up, everyone! Don't be misled by Jack. There's no turning back now. You can only continue being the bad guys. If you want to be good, neither the Mercury Group nor the Wolf Fang Gang will let you go!"

Benny's words immediately jolted everyone awake. Yes, those three large gangs were like three mountains, even the king and nobles couldn't do anything about them. If the underworld were really to be turned into the legitimate world, those people would definitely not stand idly by. The crying and shouting stopped abruptly.

Jack was also furious. Looking at Benny's smug smile, he cursed Benny for being so reckless and even wanted to verbally attack him.

"Fine, you've stuck your head out to die, so don't blame anyone else. Today, I, Jack, won't fight you head-on. I'll take down your Black Bear Gang without losing a single soldier." Jack secretly vowed.

Composing himself, he slowly said, "You, Benny, at first you said my infamy, Jack's, was known to everyone from Pacqui City to Athena City. Now you admit that you're the bad guy and I'm the good guy?"

Black Bear Benny was caught off guard by the question and stammered for a long time before finally angrily saying, "So what? Today is the day you, Jack, die anyway."

“Sigh. This is the true face of the mafia, turning black into white, fickle and unreliable, breaking promises.” Jack sighed and slowly said, “I have something to say, please listen carefully.”

"You all can't be good people because you're afraid of the oppression and retaliation from evil people. But have you ever considered that what they promise may not be kept, and what they say may not be fulfilled? In the end, you'll still be plunged into endless suffering. But the promises of us good people will definitely be kept, and we will definitely do them."

"What is there to fear from powerful gangsters? What is there to be afraid of from powerful pirates? They are human too, and so are we. Are we destined to lose to them?"

At this point, Jack repeated what he had just told Kevin to them.

Let kind people walk hand in hand. Let them raise the banner of truth, goodness, and beauty, and work together to seek happiness for this world.

The ideas that have a profound impact are often extremely simple. My entire thought is simply this: if immoral people can form a force when they come together, then honest people should do the same.

After those words were spoken, the entire room fell silent. Even Peter and Benny were at a loss for words. Benny could only point a trembling finger at Jack and weakly stammer, "You...you..."

Jack roared, "Shut up! You shameless villain, whose life has been filled with evil deeds, now you come to our group of good people to bewitch them. Now all good people, listen to my command, all good people, act together!"

Jack waved his hand and ordered, "Defeat Black Bear Benny, life or death is irrelevant."

At a command, a gang member wielding a machete immediately grabbed a hand axe and slashed at Benny's back.

Benny lost his composure, and by the time he realized what was happening, it was too late to react. Peter, standing next to Benny, sighed, muttered "Iron Man," and then punched the man, sending him flying.

Watching the man stumble into the crowd, bumping into several people before finally landing, Benny laughed with lingering fear, "See...see that? That's what happens to a traitor."

However, Benny's laughter didn't last long. Suddenly, a tomato hit him on the head, shattering and splattering juice all over his face.

Following the direction, everyone saw a child, about ten years old, standing in front of a house, still in the posture of throwing something.

It turned out to be a tomato that a child threw at Benny.

Seeing everyone looking at him, the child forced himself to shout, "I'm a good person, I want to reach Benny."

Just then, a couple rushed out of the door behind the child. Just when everyone thought the couple was going to drag the child back into the room, they instead held kitchen knives and shielded the child behind them, shouting, "Down with Black Bear Benny!"

Before the armed gang members could react, more and more people emerged from the house—men, women, and children of all ages. Some carried kitchen knives, others gripped wooden sticks tightly, and even though they were standing right in front of the door, they were shouting things like "Down with Black Bear Benny!"

Seeing this, the Black Bear Gang members behind Benny couldn't hold back any longer. They weren't afraid of children or women, so why should they be afraid of anything?

Immediately someone shouted, "I'm a good man now!" and swung an iron spear at Benny.

Benny kicked the man away, but then another man behind him shouted, "I want to be a good person!" and slashed at him with a curved knife.

More and more people joined, and for every one who was knocked down, two more would come to replace them. Benny and Peter were now completely engulfed in a sea of people.

Chapter Fifty-Seven Assault

Upon seeing the two trapped individuals, Jack stood at a distance, smugly waving his fan. The only pity was that he didn't actually have a fan.

Seeing this, Fujitora exclaimed, "I never imagined that you could win such a glorious victory with just your words. Compared to you, I am far inferior. You are truly a divine being."

Jack laughed and said, "You flatter me, you flatter me. Benny has done all sorts of bad things. I was just stating some facts. What truly opposes him is the goodness that exists in people's hearts. As long as people retain even a shred of conscience, Benny is bound to lose."

Fujitora laughed loudly after hearing this, "According to you, the World Government and the Celestial Dragons should have perished long ago, so why are they still alive? Not everyone understands these principles, and not everyone can spread them. If everyone in the world understood your principles, then why would the Celestial Dragons not be destroyed?"

Haku chimed in, "Yes, if everyone in the world understood these principles and could spontaneously unite, what would be the point of having our revolutionary army? What a pity..."

Hearing their explanation, Jack's joy at victory was somewhat dampened. After all, the World Government controls the media worldwide; newspapers that cover the entire globe are all controlled by the World Government. Controlling public opinion essentially means controlling the world.

"Ah, if only I could have a chance to use the media to spread my ideas to the world." At that moment, Jack had a wonderful wish. But he didn't know that he would later have to do so much work and risk his life to get that precious opportunity.

But that's a story for another time, so let's leave it at that.

Just as Jack was silently marveling to himself, the man in the black suit who had been standing next to Benny suddenly leaped out of the crowd. Then, he used Moonwalk repeatedly in mid-air, rapidly attacking Jack.

After realizing the situation was spiraling out of control, Peter knew that all was lost. He was left with only two options: escape or, in alliance with the other CP3 members behind Jack, launch a surprise attack.

The first option is a sure thing; with Peter's skills, he can easily return by moonwalking through the air. The only problem might be failing the mission upon his return.

The second option is much riskier, but if it succeeds and Jack is killed, it will be a major achievement. Even if the assault fails in the end, you can betray your teammates and escape using Moonwalk. That would essentially be the first option. As for the lives of the others, that's no longer your concern.

So Peter hesitated for a moment, then decided to charge straight at Jack.

Peter didn't know that if Jack really wanted to keep him, he wouldn't have a chance at all; he'd be crushed in a second.
