“As for you, Lord Anno,” Yuther turned to Anno, “you are perhaps the only one qualified to participate in this battle.”

"How about we go to town together the day after tomorrow?"

Chapter Fourteen: King Uther's Council

Facing the British knight king who had openly declared his willingness to die for him, Anno nodded heavily.

"I will obey Your Majesty's command!"

Young people, no matter how composed they may seem, are still creatures easily influenced by emotions.

King Yuther breathed a sigh of relief; this exceptionally skilled knight had increased his chances of victory.

He patted Anno on the shoulder: "It will be difficult for you to harm Vortigern because this rat who stole the concept of the British Isles has a concept called 'No one but the King of Britain can be judged' (secondary setting). Your main role is to help me distract him. Of course, this job... is very dangerous."

Of course it's dangerous. Based on the information obtained from Merlin, although Vortigern has the form of a dragon, he is not strictly speaking a dragon. Even so, he is still a formidable force against relatively weak humans.

However, Anno was still very confident in his defensive capabilities.

“Please leave it to me, Your Majesty. I am confident I can complete this task!” Anno lowered his head and said solemnly.

"Alright, I'll leave it to you, Lord Anno." King Yuther smiled.

"Please allow me to participate in this operation, Your Majesty," Knight Hector pleaded eagerly.

"Calm down, Hector." King Uther smiled helplessly. "You have an even more important task: to raise my son. You are the most upright knight in my eyes, and I believe that under your guidance, my son can grow into the most virtuous knight king!"

Hector was somewhat disappointed, but he still agreed.

After King Uther gave the two knights a few instructions, the two knights left King Uther's tent.

As they parted, Hector stopped Anno.

Anno knew what he was going to say.

"You must... protect the King!" Hector's face was filled with sorrow, tears welling in his eyes, and he gripped Anno's shoulder tightly.

Anno grasped the older knight's hand, nodded expressionlessly, and said loudly, "It's my duty!"

Inside the tent, only King Uther and Merlin remained, discussing how to give Britain a chance to catch its breath.

Merlin began, “According to my calculations, Lady Iglene, the wife of the current Duke of Cornwall, is the most suitable body to give birth to the born king.”

“This…is a married woman?” King Euthyder hesitated.

"My lord, I am merely providing you with intelligence." Merlin's meaning was clear: he was handing over the decision-making power to Uther.

After careful consideration, King Euthyne ultimately chose to compromise.

Despite his noble character, King Uther decided to crush it underfoot in the face of national interests, just to leave Britain with a sliver of hope.

Of course, no matter what you say, it can't hide the fact that King Uther was lusting after Iglesias's body.

In addition, the Duke of Cornwall in this generation was not exactly honest.

King Euthy's hesitation did not last long.

"Let's move out tomorrow night," Merlin said with a smile, offering no further comment.

“Yes, after we’ve done this, we’ll rest for a day. Then I’ll have the infantry, under the command of Hector, return to Camelot.” King Euthys’s eyes flashed with a blood-red light. “After that, I’ll storm the castle with the Knights and lure out Vortigern.”

“Then you and the infantry should retreat together,” King Uther added. “I can entrust my son’s character and martial skills to Hector with confidence, but his etiquette and knowledge as a king… I will have to entrust to you, Merlin.”

Merlin did not refuse: "Yes, Your Majesty."

Chapter Fifteen: Uther the Minotaur Finally Meets the Dragon

A day has passed, and it is now evening of the second day.

King Uther, with a hint of trepidation and shame, crouched outside a castle.

This is the territory of the Duke of Cornwall, and this castle is the Duke of Cornwall's residence.

He first managed to get the Duke of Cornwall into the army, intending to use Vortigern to get rid of this disloyal lord and also to use this opportunity to permanently conceal this conspiracy.

Merlin appeared out of nowhere and cast a spell on King Uther, transforming his appearance into that of the Duke of Cornwall.

King Uther was embarrassed for a few seconds, and then walked into the Duke of Cornwall's castle with an air of nonchalance.

Lady Iglene, the wife of the Duke of Cornwall, was completely unaware of this and thought her husband had returned. The two of them then went to the bedroom.

There's no need to go into too much detail about what happened after that, or the book might simply disappear altogether.

In short, on this night, King Uther pulled out all the stops and completed this epic Tauren quest. (I'm a huge fan of God of War, and this event is historically accurate, so please don't attack me.)

Finally, the next morning, after Merlin confirmed that Lady Iglene was pregnant with King Uther's child, the two left the castle, leaving the exhausted Lady Iglene to sleep for a long time, completely unaware of what was happening.

After King Uther returned to his army, he first ordered the knight Hector and the court magician Merlin to lead the infantry back to Camelot, and then he spent a whole day adjusting his condition.

On the morning of the third day, King Uther finally decided to enter the city where the dragon lurked, accompanied by several knights.

Among these knights, one was Anor, whom King Uther was certain could be of help; one was the Duke of Cornwall, who was essentially a pawn to be discarded; and the other knights were just ordinary skilled fighters, whom King Uther had hoped would wear down Vortigern's forces through a group attack.

The group breached the city walls and, led by King Euthy, stormed into the city.

Unsurprisingly, the city was already a ghost town, and not a single Saxon could be seen.

Without hesitation, King Euthydemort headed straight for the castle in the city center.

He could already smell the blood; the monster was waiting for him in the castle.

Anno held a longsword, warily surveying the city.

Upon entering the city, the sense of oppression in my heart became more and more obvious. Moreover, there was a fresh bloody smell in the city, but I couldn't see a single corpse, which was very strange.

The other knights, on the other hand, showed no sense of threat whatsoever, and instead chatted and laughed as they walked.

In their view, the war was quite successful, and that the mission with Wang and a few others to kill Vortigern was merely a means to obtain a reward.

At the top of the castle, a tall, withered man looked down at King Uther and his entourage, a terrifying smile spreading from his lips to his ears, his eyes filled with a calm madness.

"Youser! Here he comes!" he suddenly shouted, his voice sharp and unpleasant, like a blade.

King Euthyr's pupils contracted, and he drew his sword from its scabbard.

Anno reacted quickly, rolling to the side to avoid the sudden sound.

King Uther gazed at the white dragon coiled atop the castle and roared, "Vortigern!"

“My brother Yuther!” Vortigern exclaimed excitedly.

Chapter Sixteen: The Unstoppable Demonic Dragon

With a premeditated sonic boom from Vortigern, the knights' formation was immediately shattered, and one of the knights, unable to dodge in time, was knocked unconscious and rendered incapable of fighting.

King Uther glanced at the unconscious knight, his heart filled with resentment, but he showed no weakness and shouted, "Brother, I've come to kill you!"

"Come on then, my cowardly brother!" Vortigern's dragon roar echoed throughout the city. He flapped his wings and took flight, his breath carrying flames, swooping down directly towards the group.

This! How could anyone possibly stop it!

Anno's heart was pounding violently.

He absolutely could not withstand Vortigern, who was tens of meters tall.

King Uther remained calm, his longsword held upright, and charged fearlessly toward the dragon.

"Your Majesty!" Anno called out softly involuntarily.

The knights quickly regrouped and followed behind King Euthyne.

On one side was a raging dragon, and on the other were only a few knights.

King Uther's sword suddenly grew enormous, and just as it was about to collide with Vortigern, it slashed down fiercely.

Vortigern's visually striking dive was abruptly halted.

However, King Euthyne was also thrown backward by the impact.

Anno and his knights supported Yuther's back, taking the immense force upon him.

Looking at the scene before him, Anno couldn't help but recall the time when he used a two-handed sword to cut down the nameless king and link the flame back on Earth.

A trickle of blood seeped from the corner of King Euthyne's mouth.

The longsword had returned to its original size, and Vortigern fell to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust.

Suddenly, a burst of flames erupted from the smoke.

"Whoa!" In a panic, several knights, caught completely off guard, were instantly melted in place by the breath.

"You!" Yuther stood at the forefront, but remained calm, only feeling heartbroken over the death of his knight.

With a flick of his longsword, the breath attack was blocked, creating a gap just enough for King Uther to dodge.

Anno didn't have time to dodge and was hit directly by the breath, his longsword, which had been with him for a whole year, melted into molten iron.

The armor given to him by the fairy emitted a burst of light, barely protecting Anno and preventing him from losing his life to the terrifying breath.

But now he has lost his weapon.

The breath disappeared, and Voodoo Gon emerged from the smoke.

King Uther's strike had left a deep wound on his face, but Vortigern seemed to feel no pain at all, only grinning savagely as he looked at Uther and Anor, who had escaped unscathed.

Anno's survival surprised him somewhat.

King Uther, sword in hand, charged forward and engaged Vortigern in close combat.

Anno took several deep breaths, forcing herself to calm down.

For some reason, Vortigern gave him a very strange feeling, as if Vortigern was not a living being.

Having lost his weapon, Anno was not willing to show weakness, especially since King Uther was constantly being suppressed by the man and dragon locked in combat not far away.

King Uther's sword grew enormous and shone brightly, clearly some kind of divine weapon. Combined with his skillful martial arts and agile dodging, Vortigern was unable to subdue him for the time being.

Anno looked around and found only ruins destroyed by the breath attack; he figured he couldn't find any weapons there.

However, Anno was already a skilled fighter back on Earth, and seeing the rubble all over the ground, Anno came up with a plan.
