The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

“Medea’s daughter begged us, but it was Salazar’s own arrangement for his daughter.”
She shook her head.
"Whether it's me, Helga, or Godric, none of us have the right to interfere in the marriage between two wizarding families."
“Why would Slytherin do that?” Scott asked, puzzled. “After all, he named his daughter Medea, didn’t he?”
Although his taste was a bit eccentric, according to Ravenclaw's explanation, he still loved his daughter.
"Salazar only considered one thing: Medea would not suffer any mistreatment after marrying into the Gaunt family."
Ravenclaw sighed.
He believed that Medea, whose talent was average, could live a peaceful life after marrying into the Gaunt family, but he did not know that this was not what Medea wanted.
She looked at Ms. Gray again.
“I made the same mistake as Salazar.”
She said gently.
“We don’t know what we’re thinking. We’re busy with school and lack communication with the children, but we’re also arrogant enough to think we can control everything.”
Ms. Gray shook her head.
"In short, Medea's struggle failed."
She continued speaking to Scott.
"After I ran away, she graduated from Hogwarts and, before getting married, she secretly found her mother and signed that vow."
“That’s when I realized Medea’s ambitions were so great.” Ravenclaw smiled. “She truly is Salazar’s daughter.”
Hearing her say that, Scott became even more curious about the contents of the oath.
Ravenclaw said with some guilt, "Unfortunately, I was bedridden at the time and heartbroken because of Helena's situation, so I didn't have much energy to help her."
"Why does she want you to sign a contract?" Scott was also curious about this.
Hufflepuff and Gryffindor were there at the time, weren't they?
"Because Helga and Godric are more principled than I am, they will not agree to the existence of anything in the castle that could harm the students, even if the chance of harm is extremely small."
Ravenclaw said it bluntly.
“But I’m different. Medea knows that only I would agree to her request. And only I don’t think it’s a form of harm.”
Scott nodded in understanding.
Ravenclaw, he knows.
Ravenclaw added, "I wanted Barrow to help me secretly find Helena, but Medea is the only one who can stop him."
“Barrow?” Scott feigned ignorance.
“Barrow the Bloody Man,” Mrs. Grey said coldly, “that ghost in Slytherin House right now.”
Ravenclaw nodded. "Barrow is Salazar's student. Medea can use her status and Salazar's kindness to Barrow to stop him."
Scott looked at Ms. Gray with surprise.
It seems unclear what connection exists between her and the Blood Man Barrow.
“What happened between Barrow and me is not important,” Ms. Gray said coldly again.
“At that time, I had a premonition that my time was running out,” Ravenclaw said. “I desperately wanted to see Helena one last time before I died.”
"So you agreed to Medea's request?"
Scott asked the question, but he wasn't too surprised.
"Yes, I agreed to her request and helped keep it a secret from Helga and Godric."
Ravenclaw said.
"After I have confirmed the contents and conditions of the oath."
"So, what exactly are the conditions of the oath?" Scott couldn't help but ask.
Ravenclaw said, "The first condition of the oath is that Medea will return to Hogwarts in a special form after her death, but she will fall into a deep sleep until her bloodline descendants sacrifice their soul power, at which point she will not truly awaken."
A sacrifice of soul power?
Scott raised an eyebrow.
Could it be Voldemort's diary?
That's not right!
He thought again.
He didn't know if the diary had been destroyed, and Milton and the others had heard the organ twice before Dumbledore got his hands on it.
what is the problem?
He suddenly felt a little frustrated—
Because he shouldn't know about Horcruxes, he couldn't bring himself to ask.
"Bloodline descendants?"
He could only remain skeptical and hope for an answer.
"Could it be Voldemort? But how could he possibly sacrifice a soul?"
At this point, Ms. Gray did not disappoint him, saying, "I have investigated this matter thoroughly."
Chapter 128 Conditions You Can't Refuse
"The thing you were involved in, that diary that seduced Ginny Weasley."
Ms. Gray said in a somewhat complicated tone.
"That diary contains a part of that person's soul."
"So Professor Dumbledore destroyed that diary?" Scott asked in surprise. "That just fulfilled the conditions for the sacrifice?"
“You could say that,” Ms. Gray nodded.
Scott voiced his doubts, "That's not right, because Milton heard the organ before Professor Dumbledore got his hands on the diary."
"Medea probably hadn't truly woken up yet at that time."
Ms. Gray said somewhat unhappily, "It's that Peeves guy!"
“He barged into the music room and was caught by the arrangement Medea had deliberately left there; he awakened a small part of Medea’s power,” she explained.
Such a coincidence?
Scott felt a headache coming on.
Why didn't this kind of trouble happen in the "original work"?
"Medea herself should still be asleep at that time, but it is not surprising that the music appeared after the arrangement she left behind was triggered by Peeves."
Ms. Gray's expression was not very good.
“Originally, the diary only contained a part of that person’s soul, which was not enough to support Medea’s full awakening. Even if she did awaken, she would not have enough power to control the oath.”
She frowned.
"Who would have thought that it was that guy, Pipi Ghost, who contributed to this again?"
Scott asked, "Why Peeves..."
"Why can she use Peeves's power?"
Ravenclaw in the painting took over the conversation.
"The oath operates through the magic of the castle. Peeves is a mischievous child born in this castle, and also a manifestation of the castle's magical power."
She said definitively, "I guess Medea sneaked into that music room and rearranged some things after the rest of us died."
Is this the Medea you're talking about who's "not very talented"?
Scott really wanted to complain about that.
She's really good at it!
At least he had absolutely no idea how Medea managed to do those things.
She also has magical musical talent!
"Let's move on to the second condition of the oath. I used to think that the first condition could never be triggered."
Ravenclaw said.
"The second condition is that if the first condition of the oath is met, Medea will have a tiny chance of fully awakening. She can then rely on the power of the castle to operate the core oath and use it to trade everything fairly with others."
"As for the third condition, it is the condition for the oath to be dissolved—"
Ms. Gray added.
"There are two ways to break the oath: Medea can break it voluntarily, or a current student of Hogwarts can challenge her and force her to break it if he wins."
“A challenge?” Scott raised an eyebrow.
Ms. Grey nodded. "Yes, Medea must accept the challenge, but she shall decide the content of the challenge."
“Scott, are you willing to challenge her? She can’t give a challenger an impossible task,” Ravenclaw asked.
"I have two more questions."
Scott held up two fingers.
Ravenclaw looked at him, appearing very approachable. "Go ahead and ask."
“The first question,” Scott said, lowering a finger, “is Medea what she is now? Her body doesn’t seem alive, but she’s not a ghost either.”
Ravenclaw replied, "She has magically stored her soul in a doll that looks exactly like herself when she was young. She is not a ghost, but she is not truly alive either."
"A doll?"
Scott's eyes widened in shock.
He should have thought of that sooner!
