Professor Flitwick's expression turned somewhat grim. "That's right, this place has always been safe and has never been invaded by outsiders."

He said with some sadness, "I never expected something like this to happen. What will the professors and students from other colleges think of us?"

Seeing Professor Flitwick's distressed expression, Eddie immediately began to apologize in a flustered manner: "I'm sorry, Professor, I... I meant..."

“No, you haven’t said anything wrong, Mr. Camitchell.” Professor Flitwick shook his head.

He looked up at Scott.

“Scott, come and take a look,” he said. “There’s still some magic left here, from that cutting spell.”

He stood up and straightened his robes. "This magic is too weak. If it were me, it would require some complicated steps to confirm who left this spell, and perhaps we would need to gather all the students for a test."

At this point, he shook his head, indicating that he did not approve of this approach.

"We cannot treat all students as suspects."

He said to Scott, "If it were you, Scott, I believe you could tell who it was just from these remaining magical wisps."

Scott nodded silently, indicating that he could indeed tell, or rather, he already knew the answer.

But he still crouched down to begin sensing things up close.

At this moment, Bruce asked in utter shock, "Professor! Do you mean that Scott's perception of magic is actually stronger than yours?"

Scott's three roommates were all surprised.

They certainly knew that Scott had the ability to sense magic, but they never knew that his ability would surpass that of Professor Flitwick.

It's worth noting that there are rumors circulating that Professor Flitwick possesses some goblin blood, but Ravenclaw students all know it's true.

Because Professor Flitwick never shied away from this point; he even brought it up with his students.

It's important to know that fairies are magical creatures that are extremely sensitive to magic, which is why they are exceptionally skilled at creating magical items.

Professor Flitwick not only possesses fairy blood, but is also a powerful master of spells.

It's easy to see how incredible it is that Scott's perception of magic surpasses that of Professor Flitwick.

“Yes, Scott can do it! Although I didn’t explain it to my students in as much detail when Scott gave me that painting.”

Professor Flitwick never hesitated to praise his students.

“I’m just saying that Scott did something that most adult wizards couldn’t do. I don’t want the students to lose faith in him.”

"Aren't you afraid we'll lose faith now?" Eddie couldn't help but mutter again.

“I know you won’t, I know you.” Professor Flitwick finally smiled. “You’re all Scott’s good friends, aren’t you? I think you’ll be happy for him.”

Just then, Scott stood up and turned around.

“Oh, yes! Of course we’re good friends, and we’re just proud of him!” Eddie quickly replied.

The others laughed.

Although he already knew the answer, Scott still checked it for a while.

He said to Professor Frivi, "Professor, I think I have identified who the other person is."

After saying that, he couldn't help but give Roger a strange look.

Roger felt uneasy under that gaze and nervously asked, "Who is it?"

"Who is it?" Bruce asked as well.

He was very concerned about the incident that almost harmed his player.

Scott remained silent, instead walking to the bookshelf beside Roger's bed and taking down a transparent divination crystal ball.

"I remember, this crystal ball was given to you by Miss Du Ping, wasn't it?" He toyed with the divination crystal ball, smiling teasingly.

Upon hearing this, Roger's expression immediately became quite interesting.

“It’s Lisa Dupin from the second year,” Eddie whispered to the bewildered Professor Flitwick, who seemed to be suppressing a laugh. “Roger’s ex-ex-ex-girlfriend.”

At this moment, Bruce couldn't help but chuckle, while Roger covered his face.

“Mr. Davis!” Professor Flitwick immediately yelled at Roger, “I remember Miss Dupin enrolled last year; she’s only 12 years old!”

“Oh, Miss Du Ping was only 11 years old when they started dating last year,” Eddie said, adding insult to injury.

"This is outrageous!" Professor Flitwick was clearly even angrier.

"No, Professor, I didn't do anything," Roger hurriedly explained. "She's just a little girl; I was just playing a love game with her."

Professor Flitwick asked irritably, "What else do you want to do!"

“No, I didn’t mean to.” Roger shook his head vigorously.

Scott and the others looked at him with disdain.

“No! You all know!” Roger quickly looked at them. “Scott! Milton! Eddie! You know the truth! I’m not that kind of person!”

Scott and his two companions couldn't help but chuckle for a moment.

"What exactly happened?" Professor Flitwick stared at Roger.

“I’ll explain! I can explain!” Roger shouted.

“Very well, I will listen to your explanation here, Mr. Davis.” Professor Flitwick stepped onto Roger’s trunk, turned around and sat on his bed, looking at him.

Although Scott and his colleagues knew the whole story, none of them spoke up to explain for him.

The three of them, along with Bruce, sat on the other beds, patiently waiting for Roger's explanation.

Scott also heard Bruce mutter, "At least we'll hear a good story."

Roger swallowed hard and began to talk about his "dating" with an 11-year-old girl last year.

Chapter 035: There's more to the story than meets the eye.

“That was after the first Quidditch match of the school year,” Roger began recounting his story with Lisa Dupin, “maybe I was just too captivating on the field that day…”

"Ahem!" Professor Flitwick looked at him sternly.

"I played really well on the court that day," Roger quickly corrected himself. "Anyway, after the game, Lisa confessed her feelings to me in private."

"And then you agreed?" Professor Flitwick asked.

Roger shook his head rapidly, "No! I didn't!"

He said, "I rejected her! She's too young, only 11 years old, and I have no interest in children."

“But she just wouldn’t give up!” Roger said, distressed. “I rejected her many times during that period, but in the end she said…”

"What did you say?" Professor Flitwick asked again.

“She said…”

Roger's expression became conflicted, and he turned to look at Eddie.

Eddie, barely suppressing a laugh, noticed Roger's pleading look and kindly explained for him, "Professor, let me speak for him. Lisa said to Roger..."

His tone of voice betrayed a hint of laughter.

"She said she wasn't really in love with him. She was just curious about love, and Roger was the most 'casual' boy in Ravenclaw, and she thought he could give her a taste of what love felt like. But she didn't expect Roger to be such a wimp."

"puff."

Captain Bruce finally couldn't hold back any longer. He covered his mouth with his fist, turned his head to face the wall, and his shoulders trembled.

Professor Flitwick asked incredulously, "Is this true?"

Is this something an 11-year-old girl would say?

“It’s true! Professor! Please believe me!” Roger opened his eyes wide, trying to convince Professor Flitwick with his most sincere gaze.

But Professor Frivius did not seem to receive his signal.

“It’s true, Professor,” Milton said. “Scott and I were both there that day. Dupin was probably furious and said those things in front of us.”

"So that's how it is."

Professor Flitwick immediately chose to believe him, nodding to Milton and then looking at Roger.

“Davis, please continue.”

Roger felt a pang of sadness at Professor Flitwick's differential treatment, but he still recounted what happened next: "Later I told Lisa that if she just wanted to experience the feeling of being in love, I could spend two weeks playing house with her."

He looked up at Professor Flitwick again. "She agreed! She even promised not to bother me anymore after two weeks."

Upon hearing this, Professor Flitwick looked at Scott and Milton. Seeing them both nod, he then said to Roger, "So, why would Miss Dupin use a magical object to curse your flying broom?"

“I don’t know.” Roger was also confused at this point. “Anyway, two weeks after the agreed time, I told Lisa that the game was over, and she didn’t object at the time.”

Professor Flitwick asked with a headache, "Seriously speaking, that child's behavior constitutes a crime. How do you plan to handle this?"

"This……"

Roger hesitated, seemingly unsure of what to say for a moment.

Scott knew this was Roger's first major mishap.

In the past, the girls who had actually dated Roger never did anything outrageous after he dumped them. It's unexpected that simply playing house with a young girl would lead to such consequences.

“There must be more to this than meets the eye, Professor,” Scott said, offering his opinion.

"Why do you say that?" Professor Flitwick asked.

“The dorm room door, Professor,” Scott said. “It was locked when we left the dorm at noon.”

“I thought Miss Du Ping used a lock-picking spell on your dormitory door,” Professor Flitwick said. “The magic used in such minor spells is relatively weak, and the residual magic has already dissipated.”

"No, this door wasn't opened with a lock-picking spell."

Scott got out of bed, walked to the door, and gestured for them to come and look at the black lock on the door.

"This lock has been pried open; it was opened using Muggle techniques."

"Let me see!"

Eddie quickly came over.

“Here!” He pointed to the keyhole of the lock. “There are a few slight scratches here. Someone must have left them when they tried to pick the lock with a wire.”

“What does this mean?” Bruce looked at where Eddie was pointing, still not understanding. “Maybe Dupin picked the lock.”
