Upon hearing this, Scott said to him, "So what happened on the night of the opening party was that Raoul fell down the spiral staircase of the tower to frame you in order to get revenge on Travers after being deceived by her?"

“That’s it!” Jacob looked up, staring intently at him. “But no matter how I explained, nobody believed me! They even kicked me out of the dorm!”

Professor Flitwick sighed with some regret, "Oh, several prefects have reported this to me. Miss Crivat said it might have been an accident."

"And then?" Scott asked. "Why did you end up hanging out with them again?"

Roger also said, "We've seen you walking with them more than once, and Scott called your name several times, but you didn't take the opportunity to come over to us."

“I dare not!” Jacob’s voice was trembling with tears. “Travers said… she said that if I don’t listen to her, she can easily find my family in the Muggle world!”

"This is outrageous!"

Professor Flitwick slammed his fist on the table. He was clearly hearing this for the first time, and he said angrily, "She's threatening you! You shouldn't believe her; you should tell the professor about this!"

"No!"

Jacob shook his head quickly.

"Travers said that if I told the professor, her house-elf could get to my house in no time!"

He exclaimed in horror, "She even has photos of me that I kept in my bedroom!"

Roger asked in surprise, "How did she know your home address?"

“The day we went to Diagon Alley, her house-elf followed us to my house!” Jacob curled up in fear. “She said it herself!”

Professor Flitwick began to scream angrily: "This is outrageous! This is outrageous! Never, never before has there been such an unruly student! I will have Professor Snape expel that girl himself!"

He reassured Jacob, "Don't worry, don't worry, Mr. Kent! Now that I know about this, I will make sure your family is safe!"

"Lulu!" He snapped his fingers.

With a loud snap, a house-elf appeared in the office, draped in a clean tea towel, its green eyes, as big as tennis balls, bowing to Professor Flitwick.

"Honorable Wizard, Lulu is at your service!"

Its voice was very excited, as if it felt it was a great honor to be summoned by the wizard.

“I need you to protect that family, Lulu,” Professor Flitwick said to it. “If any other house-elves appear near that family, chase them all away.”

Lulu immediately squealed and agreed, "Protect the family? No problem, Lulu will do it! Lulu will drive away all the bad little elves!"

“Now, write your home address on this piece of paper, Mr. Kent,” Professor Flitwick said to Jacob, pointing to the parchment on the table.

Jacob immediately stood up, picked up the quill pen on the table, and began to write. He cried and said excitedly, "Thank you, thank you so much, Professor!"

Professor Flitwick handed the note to Lulu and said to Jacob, "Don't worry, only Lulu and I will see this note."

Jacob said fearfully, “No, I am not worried, you don’t need to do that.”

"No need for further explanation, it's decided then." Professor Flitwick waved his hand and gestured for Lulu to set off.

Lulu bowed again and quickly disappeared from their sight.

After watching Lulu leave, Jacob immediately breathed a sigh of relief, seemingly much more at ease.

"Let's get back to the main topic," Professor Flitwick began, asking him, "What exactly has that girl, Miss Travers, been doing at school? And how is she planning to get revenge on Trollope and Davis?"

Chapter 041 She is so kind and beautiful

After Professor Flitwick sent the house-elf Lulu to protect Jacob's family, Jacob became more relaxed and his speech became more fluent.

“She, Travers, is deliberately befriending all the pure-blood girls at the school.” He glanced at Dupin sitting next to him, “including young witches like Dupin from emerging wizarding families, who are also among her befrienders.”

Du Ping turned his head and glared at him angrily.

Professor Flitwick nodded upon hearing this. Most of the professors at Hogwarts already knew about it.

Ignoring Dupin's angry glare, Jacob continued, "This morning the professor questioned us students who were close to Travers. I think Professor Snape and Professor Sprout did the same."

Professor Flitwick said, "Yes, we stumbled upon this student group while searching for the cause of the three girls' illness. But our inquiries in the morning yielded no results."

“The girls say it’s just girls their age playing together. I’m sorry I told you this morning that the girls asked me to run errands for them because of what happened with Roll falling down the stairs.” Jacob lowered his head again as he said this.

“We’re stating the facts!” Dupin glared at Jacob and emphasized loudly.

She took several deep breaths, and finally couldn't hold back any longer. She stood up and shouted at Professor Flitwick, "Professor! Jacob has been lying all along!"

She was clearly very agitated.

"He's slandering me! Miss Travers didn't do any of those things! You'll see when the house-elf you sent returns!"

She then turned to Jacob and snapped, “Don’t think you can pin everything on Miss Travers, you wicked thing!”

“No! I’m not lying! You just don’t know, Du Ping!” Jacob shook his head quickly, his voice trembling with tears.

Du Ping, however, glared at him angrily. "You're lying, Jacob!"

Then, she started crying too.

“Miss Travers simply wants to unite the students of the four houses of Hogwarts. She will choose to befriend the younger pure-blood girls first, because this is only the first step in the plan! And she has no other choice, does she?”

She looked incredibly aggrieved.

Scott leaned back on the sofa, propping his head up with his hand. He found Du Ping's words quite amusing.

The same event can evoke drastically different feelings depending on the perspective from which it is viewed.

Jasmine Travers, a master of acting.

Scott felt inferior. At least, when he was actually 11 years old in his previous life, all he could think about was playing.

“Poor Miss Travers, she is so kind and good! She has never looked down on you just because you are a Muggle wizard! She is even in the hospital now because she is sick! How dare you! How dare you slander her like that!”

It seemed that Du Ping had been suppressing her emotions for a long time, and now she had completely let go, her mouth constantly criticizing Jacob.

"Also, you were the one who pushed Caitlin downstairs on the first night of school, just because she argued with you on the train..."

"Quiet! Quiet, Miss Du Ping!"

Professor Flitwick tapped his fingers on the table.

“Miss Dupin! You can refute Mr. Kent after he has finished speaking.”

“But…Professor! You just believed him, you were deceived by him!” Du Ping looked at Professor Flitwick with a wronged expression.

Scott, watching this scene, felt that she was genuinely sorry for her Miss Travers.

"Oh! Don't worry, Miss Du Ping."

Professor Flitwick waved for her to sit back down.

“I believe that, as your professor and as an older person, I am capable of discerning whether my students are lying,” he said with a stern face.

"How could this be!" Du Ping exclaimed, then covered his mouth in Professor Flitwick's sight.

At this moment, Jacob looked at Dupin with pity, and then said to Professor Flitwick, "Professor, it's not really Miss Dupin's fault. They... I mean, most of the girls were deceived by Travers's false appearance; they never saw Travers's true face."

Hey, this kid!

Scott couldn't help but smile knowingly.

The green tea flavor is a bit strong!

Professor Flitwick glanced at Dupin again, making her swallow back the words she was about to say, and then gestured for Jacob to continue.

“Travers only showed her true colors in front of Morgan Avery and me,” Jacob said. “She would privately call all her Muggle-born classmates Mudbloods.”

At this point, he looked at Du Ping with pity.

"She even said that Miss Du Ping's background meant that the smell of mud on her body had not been completely washed away."

Du Ping stared wide-eyed in disbelief, covering his mouth and shaking his head repeatedly.

Jacob stopped looking at her, took a deep breath, and said to Professor Flitwick, "The only reason Travers kept me by her side was to test her dark magic on me."

"what?"

Professor Flitwick dropped the quill he had just picked up onto the table and jumped off his chair in excitement.

“Don’t worry, Professor.” Jacob smiled bravely. “I’m fine. Travers wouldn’t dare to make a big deal out of it. Most of the time she just uses some evil curses on me and then gives me a healing potion afterward.”

Professor Flitwick took a few breaths and said seriously, "You should have sought the professors' help from the beginning, Jacob! Perhaps you feel you are facing a dead end, but for professors, getting you out of trouble is just a matter of lifting a finger!"

“Yes, I didn’t realize it. I… I’ve only just come into contact with magic, and I don’t understand anything about it. I’ve been very anxious,” Jacob said sadly.

Professor Flitwick's tone softened. "Now you should know. I hope you will try to trust the professors at the school from now on."

"I will, thank you."

Jacob was deeply grateful to Professor Flitwick. He wiped away a tear with his sleeve and looked at Scott and Roger sitting opposite him.

"And thank you, Mr. Trolop and Mr. Davis, for trying to save me."

"You're welcome. Just call me Scott, Jacob."

Scott smiled gently.

“I’m so sorry, if I had insisted a little more, you wouldn’t have had to go through all that.”

Jacob quickly said, "No, it's not your fault, Scott."

"And, by the way, Travers' revenge on you."

He seemed to suddenly remember that this matter had not yet been resolved, so he said to Scott and Roger, "I'm sorry, all I know is that Travers is planning to take revenge on you, but she didn't tell me the specifics of her plan."

"She only instructed me to assist Miss Dupin's operation. Then... she suddenly fell ill, and the operation against... Scott may have been canceled as a result."

"So that's how it is."

Scott smiled with relief, then turned to him and said, "Looks like I'm much luckier than you, Roger."

Chapter 042 The Outcome of the Incident

“In all my years of teaching at Hogwarts, I’ve rarely encountered anything like this,” Professor Flitwick remarked.

He shook his head and said to the students, "Miss Dupin, Mr. Kent, I will tell Headmaster Dumbledore and your parents everything that has happened."

"By the way," he looked at Du Ping, who was still in a daze, "is there anything you want to say, Miss Du Ping?"

“Professor…” Du Ping trembled, raising his head with tears in his eyes, “Can you…can you really tell that Jacob is telling the truth?”

"Yes, I can tell."
