Professor Frivi affirmed.

“You young wizards do not have complete control over magic, or rather, it is very rare for someone like Mr. Trollope to be able to control his own magic.”

Scott smiled, surprised that Professor Flitwick would take the opportunity to praise him at this moment.

Professor Flitwick continued, "Experienced wizards can infer a young wizard's most genuine emotional reaction from the obvious fluctuations in their magical energy."

At this point, Jacob stood up again, trembling, and said, "Then...then this morning, I lied to you..."

“Of course I saw it, Jacob.” Professor Flitwick gave him a reassuring smile. “Based on my years of experience as a professor at Hogwarts, I generally don’t expose students’ lies.”

Jacob returned his smile with a shy smile.

However, at this point, Scott discovered that Lisa Dupin had completely lost her composure.

She seemed completely unsure of who to trust, and in her panic, she ruffled her blonde hair into a bird's nest.

"Impossible...impossible..."

She muttered to herself, completely unable to accept the collapse of her perfect image of Miss Travers.

“Miss Du Ping, you still have two questions to answer.” Scott didn’t let her off the hook.

He sat on the sofa, leaning forward, looking at her with a menacing gaze.

"As everyone knows, Roger has always been a playboy..."

"Hey!" Roger said, sounding dissatisfied.

Scott ignored his protests and continued to ask Dupin, "You've known for a long time that Roger was a womanizer, so why are you suddenly so eager to take revenge on him? Also, where did you get the dark magic item you used to curse Roger's broom?"

However, Du Ping just cried and avoided his gaze.

Professor Flitwick's face showed a hint of reluctance, but he still didn't say anything.

Scott remained unmoved, simply staring at Dupin.

"I don't know! I don't know!"

Du Ping finally couldn't take it anymore and started wailing again.

"It was them, they were the ones who laughed at me when I talked about that! And...and...I was so angry to see Roger with other girls!"

“Dark magic items,” Scott emphasized again.

“That…that is…” Du Ping started to sob and hiccup, “It was given to me by Morgan Avery.”

Scott leaned back on the sofa, his fingers interlaced. "Miss Avery? So you know that dark magic item will cause Roger's flying broom to explode?"

“I don’t know! Really! I just wanted to teach Roger a lesson, Morgan said it would only make his broom break down.”

She hiccuped again.

"And...and...she said the broom would smoke as a warning beforehand, and Morgan also said...she said...if Roger were a good Quidditch player, nothing serious would happen..."

She looked at Roger pitifully and pleaded, "I'm sorry, Roger, I'm sorry, I'll give you a new broom!"

“That’s what you should do,” Scott said bluntly.

Du Ping cried even louder.

She said desperately, "What should I do? My parents will be so disappointed in me when they find out... They were so happy to hear that I've become friends with Miss Travers, they even wrote to encourage me... Maybe they'll have to go to Azkaban to see me from now on..."

"How pitiful, isn't it?" Roger whispered to Scott, feeling a pang of pity for the little witch.

Scott remained noncommittal.

However, he also came to realize how ridiculous the so-called "new wizarding families" were.

Lisa Dupin's adoration for Jasmine Travers was likely influenced by her family's yearning for a pure-blood family.

However, they are all ordinary wizards. The arrogance of pure-blood families can be attributed to the history and heritage of their families. But these people, in order to make themselves seem superior, have deliberately created a "class".

As a result, they ended up pleasing neither side. Don't you find that ridiculous?

At this moment, Professor Flitwick came out from behind his desk and said to them, "Next, I will announce the handling of this matter."

“Mr. Kent,” he said to Jacob, “while the reason was that your family was threatened, you were definitely involved in sabotaging Mr. Davis’s flying broom.”

“I’m sorry, Professor.” Jacob lowered his head in shame. “I’m sorry, Mr. Davis.”

Professor Flitwick continued, "My punishment for you is two months of after-school service!"

Jacob nodded without objection.

"As for Miss Du Ping," Professor Flitwick said, looking at Du Ping who was crying uncontrollably, "I will make a decision regarding your punishment after a three-way meeting with your parents and the headmaster!"

"Am I really going to Azkaban?" Du Ping shrank back in fear.

Professor Flitwick shook his head. "Just like Mr. Brown said before, it depends on whether your parents are willing to pay a large ransom for you."

Du Ping immediately shrank even smaller.

"Now, Mr. Trolop and Mr. Davis, you two can go back."

Professor Flitwick said to Scott and Roger.

"I need to take Miss Dupin and Mr. Kent to the principal's office."

"Okay, Professor."

Scott and Roger stood up from the sofa and walked out of Professor Flitwick's office.

The two walked through several corridors and arrived at the entrance to the staircase of the main building of Hogwarts Castle, which was constantly changing in an irregular pattern.

“I forgot something,” Scott said suddenly.

“What?” Roger asked.

“I heard it from the Weasley twins a couple of days ago; someone gave me a really mean nickname.” Scott’s expression immediately turned sour as he spoke of it.

Roger, however, showed interest. "What kind of nickname?"

“You don’t need to know,” Scott said, looking at him expressionlessly. “The Weasley twins just told me that the nickname originated from Ravenclaw.”

Roger said with a peculiar expression, "So you now suspect that Travers deliberately had Ravenclaw students spread your nickname as revenge?"

He clearly didn't think being given a nickname was anything to worry about.

“Never mind.” Scott started to go down the stairs. “I’ll ask Jacob when he gets back to Ravenclaw. For now, I’ve decided to ask Eddie first.”

Chapter 043 I will learn from you

Good evening, Eddie.

In the dorm room, Scott stood with his arms crossed in front of Eddie's bed, leaning against the bedpost, looking down at him.

Sitting on the bed, Eddie looked up at Scott and felt inexplicably guilty, so he couldn't help but hug his blanket tighter.

But he still mustered up his courage and asked, "What's wrong, Scott?"

Scott narrowed his eyes as he looked at Scott's guilty expression.

“I want to ask you something,” he said slowly, “is there anything that has happened to me recently that you haven’t told me?”

"What?" Eddie asked, somewhat puzzled.

"No," he shook his head. "Really."

“Is that so?” Scott bowed slightly. “Think about it again.”

“Really, really not.” Eddie spread his hands.

Scott prompted him, "Think again, like an unpleasant nickname or something."

Eddie's expression immediately changed subtly; his gaze shifted for a moment before returning to Scott.

He feigned a sudden realization, "I remember now, Scott. Sorry, I'd forgotten about it if you hadn't mentioned it."

Scott stared at him silently for several seconds until a guilty look reappeared on his face.

“Tell me,” Scott straightened up. “Where did that awful nickname come from? If you can tell me the answer, I won’t hold you accountable for hiding it from me.”

“Yes, Eddie, tell me.”

At that moment, Roger walked over and sat directly on Eddie's bed.

He chuckled sarcastically, "I'd like to know, what kind of awful nickname made Scott so angry?"

"Get out of the way, Roger."

Scott said something to Roger, then gave Eddie a threatening look.

[If you tell, you're dead.]

Eddie quickly looked at Scott with a sincere gaze.

"I don't know who gave me that nickname," he said.

"Hmm?" Scott narrowed his eyes again.

“But it first came from the first year of Ravenclaw,” Eddie quickly added.

"Very good, it seems to be about what I guessed."

Scott nodded in satisfaction.

He thought for a moment, then smiled and said to Eddie, "That's the end of it, Eddie."

Before Eddie could even breathe a sigh of relief, he said, "Next, could you please pass on a message for me?"

"Wh...what?" Eddie almost choked.

"Let everyone know that if anyone lets me hear that nasty nickname again, I'll challenge them to a duel," Scott said seriously.

"Are you serious?" Eddie looked at him in disbelief. "Isn't that a bit of an exaggeration?"

Is it really necessary to go this far?

He expressed himself through his eyes.

"Are you really going to duel with everyone who calls you by that nickname?" Roger said with a strange expression. "What should I do? I'm getting more and more curious about how awful that nickname really is!"

"Then please bear with it."

Scott waved, turned around, picked up the basket, and went to the bathroom.
