The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

Finally, her slender neck seemed to droop limply, and she fell completely silent.
Scott continued to record the scene using his panoramic telescope.
A short while later, he heard Trelawney snoring.
She seemed to have fallen asleep standing up.
"..."
Scott's lips twitched violently.
“Professor Trelawney,” he called softly.
Trelawney, however, remains a popular choice.
“Professor Trelawney!” Scott raised his voice.
Trelawney jolted awake, stumbled two steps, and nearly fell.
But she stubbornly held on.
"Oh……"
She raised her head, parted the messy hair that covered her face with her slender fingers, and looked as if she had just woken up from a dream.
After a long while, her unfocused eyes regained their liveliness.
But she quickly started acting strangely again.
"Oh, my poor child."
As if by instinct, she continued her previous act, looking at Scott with deep pity in her eyes.
"belch!"
An unexpected burp disrupted her rhythm.
“Oh, where were we, my child?” she asked Scott casually.
Scott calmly put away the panoramic binoculars and reminded her in a fairly composed tone, "You seem to have had too much to drink, Professor Trelawney."
“No,” Trelawney denied immediately, “I…I just need some alcohol to relax…”
She spoke more and more fluently.
"You wouldn't understand, alcohol is a necessity for me. My third eye sees too much, which is making me feel overwhelmed."
But Scott was no longer in the mood for idle chatter with her.
His mind kept replaying the prophecies Trelawney had uttered under those special circumstances, and he felt his fake smile was stiffer than ever before.
Trelawney seemed to sense something as well, and her feigned expression also became somewhat stiff.
Judging from her expression, she was unaware that she had just made another real prediction; she probably thought she had embarrassed herself in front of her students because of her drinking.
But she still managed to firmly maintain her image as a great prophet.
"What can I say?" she sighed softly. "What a pity, child... what a pity, your closed third eye cannot guide you in the right direction, so you did not choose my class."
She started walking forward, but stopped when she reached Scott, then turned her head slightly and looked at him out of the corner of her eye.
“Poor child, if you wish to break through the fog and learn some truths about fate, come to me in the divination classroom in the North Tower.”
After saying that, she let out a loud sob, seemingly unable to bear looking at Scott any longer, and hurried away.
Scott turned to look at her back; only her slightly unsteady footsteps betrayed her inner turmoil.
But Scott's mood was even more chaotic than the divination professor's; he was merely using reason to suppress the intense undercurrents within him.
After Trelawney left, the complex thoughts that Scott had been forcibly suppressing finally burst forth.
He shook his head, carefully reviewing Trelawney's prophecy once more—
[The scroll of history opens, the resurrected witch stirs up a storm, distorting the vision of the Thousand-Mile Eye!]
The great one who has been sleeping will awaken and seize the legacy of the Eternal King!
He wants to devour the non-existent in order to escape the shackles of fate!
He will ultimately fail, defeated by those who are no longer alive!
What does this mean?
Scott pondered this repeatedly in his mind.
He had thought about those words over and over again, but he still only vaguely understood them.
In his mind, "the resurrected witch" refers to Medea, "the eternal king" should refer to the legendary King Arthur, and "the non-existent one" most likely refers to himself, Scott.
But who can tell him...?
What is the "historical volume"? Does it refer to history itself, or a specific book volume?
What is the "Eye of a Thousand Miles"? Whose eyes does it refer to, or some kind of magical item?
Who is this "great man"? Does it refer to the legendary Merlin or one of the four great figures of Hogwarts?
He couldn't decipher any of the words: [legacy], [devouring], [shackles of fate]!
Scott felt a splitting headache.
For a moment, he even considered casting a forgetting spell on himself to completely forget the prophecy.
From a rational perspective, Voldemort's actions after learning of the prophecy and the resulting consequences teach people a lesson—
To pursue prophecy is to actively choose the destiny revealed by the prophecy.
That seems like a counterproductive approach.
But Scott hesitated.
He was torn between thinking that he shouldn't give up the clues he had learned in advance and worrying that this was precisely the effect of the prophecy beginning to take effect.
He even began to feel anxious and uncertain, and his thoughts became completely chaotic.
"Scott! Scott! Scott!"
The familiar call snapped Scott back to reality.
"Scott, what's wrong?"
Scott turned his head and stared blankly at the raven standing on a kapok tree in the flower bed.
Rimbaud tilted his head, flapping his wings slightly with some unease, his two round, black eyes fixed on him.
"What's wrong?" it asked in a low voice, worried. "I've never seen you like this before."
“I’m fine,” Scott said.
He raised his hand and pinched his brow hard with his thumb and forefinger, forcing himself to calm down again.
"What happened?" Rimbaud asked again. "I've been waiting for you in the Forbidden Forest for a long time."
Scott forced a smile. "Sorry, I just ran into Professor Trelawney here and spoke with her for a while."
Rimbaud tilted his head again. "Trillaunie? Is she a mad witch with messy hair?"
"You know her?" Scott asked, somewhat surprised.
Rimbaud shook his head slightly. "I don't know who Trelawney is, but I saw a mad witch in the Forbidden Forest. She secretly threw a whole case of empty bottles into the lake in the Forbidden Forest."
"I see." Scott chuckled.
He had just thought that Professor Trelawney had come here by chance, guided by her intuition.
It turns out they were sneaking around throwing away bottles.
Thinking of this, he couldn't help but pinch the bridge of his nose again.
But wouldn't that make it seem even more coincidental?
It's worth noting that Scott and this divination professor, who had long lived in seclusion in the North Tower, had never crossed paths.
He had only seen her from afar at the opening or end-of-term banquets in the past, and she had even missed several of them. She had never shown up at the Halloween banquets.
“Scott,” Rimbaud called him again, “Are you really alright?”
Scott was about to say it was nothing when he suddenly realized that he was in front of Rimbaud and didn't need to pretend at all.
"I don't know if anything's wrong with me." He looked troubled.
However, Rimbaud was ultimately just a product of Scott's orders. He was very intelligent and increasingly human-like, but he was still not very sensitive to human emotions and his concern for Scott was not very relevant.
It looked around, then flew up to look around again. After confirming that there was no one else in the garden, it landed on the kapok tree and spoke in a normal voice with peace of mind.
"You seem to be in a bad mood," it said. "Then let me tell you some good news."
Scott realized what was happening and quickly pulled out his wand to cast a soundproofing spell.
He took several deep breaths before smiling and saying, "Now you can speak freely, what good news do you have?"
"Is it good news that the person you hate has been imprisoned in Azkaban?" Rimbaud asked expectantly, flapping his wings.
“Oh?” Scott raised an eyebrow. “Are they the Death Eaters and Green Robes captured by the Aurors? Who are they?”
“I don’t know many of them, and most of them have already used connections to get away with their crimes,” Rimbaud said. “But both members of the Yaxley family are in jail!”
"What's going on?" Scott's eyes lit up.
“You’d never guess!” Rimbaud exclaimed, seeing Scott’s pleased expression. “The oldest man in the Yaxley family is the Green Man, and his son is a Death Eater! Those two were so unlucky; they were both arrested that night!”
"Hedging both ways, swaying left and right? They actually dare to do something like that?" Scott's eyes widened in surprise.
Rimbaud nodded repeatedly.
After being influenced by Scott, Rimbaud has learned more and more.
Aside from being somewhat insensitive to interpreting human emotions, it can clearly see the ins and outs of some events.
Therefore, it was relatively clear to explain it to Scott at this moment.
It told Scott, "Those green-robed men have Medea's hidden influence in the Ministry of Magic to help them get away with their crimes. The Death Eaters are all pure-blooded and already very powerful, but both sides have unanimously abandoned the Axleys!"
Scott couldn't help but wonder if he had been foolish to go to such great lengths to deal with the Yaxley family.
Look at them now, they've already made themselves look incredibly stupid even though he hasn't done anything.
However, he is curious about something else right now.
