The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

"Has the Ministry of Magic completely fallen into chaos?" he asked. "Those guys attacked the Aurors, and they can just get them exonerated so easily?"
He felt that things were somewhat surreal.
“I remember Dumbledore was also a member of Wizengamor.”
“No doubt about it,” Rimbaud said in a very human way. “The Ministry of Magic is in complete chaos. Now even Minister Fudge has joined the Green Robe organization, and he’s become quite close to Milton’s father, Mr. Grevis.”
Scott felt things were moving a little too fast. "What's this called? Joining when you can't beat them?"
He only took the opportunity of making the academy's promotional video to have fun for two weeks. How come it feels like he was skipping around while watching a TV series and accidentally missed several important episodes?
"The magic department is now divided into three factions."
Rimbaud continued to introduce Scott, and it seemed he had really been following a lot of gossip lately.
"The first faction is the Green Robe organization under Medea's command. This force has a diverse membership, even including some pure-blood families who have aligned themselves with her."
"Since Fudge joined them, they have become the most powerful faction in the Ministry of Magic."
"The second faction is a coalition of another group of pure-blood families. Most of them are associated with Death Eaters and are staunch pure-blood believers, which makes it impossible for them to accept Medea's idea of treating Muggles and half-bloods equally."
"In fact, this group of members has the most power, but they are not united and have their own internal conflicts, so their overall effectiveness is not as good as that of the first faction."
"The third faction is mainly composed of some officials from the Department of Law Enforcement and Aurors, including some wizards who follow Dumbledore's lead. Most of them are just banding together for mutual support out of desperation."
"Most of these people hold low-ranking positions, have no power or influence, and have little say in the Ministry of Magic. They can only rely on Dumbledore's prestige to maintain their position."
"In short, this faction is caught in the middle of the struggle between the other two factions and is on the verge of being marginalized."
Rimbaud's long narration was clear and vivid, and he successfully helped Scott understand the current state of the Ministry of Magic, which greatly impressed Scott.
“You…” He looked at Rimbaud with some surprise, “You have made such great progress in just two weeks.”
Rimbaud proudly raised his head and cheerfully flapped his wings.
"I've found enjoyment in observing humans," it said excitedly. "Watching them fight each other every day, I feel like I'm learning more and more."
Scott almost blurted out "Holy shit!" again.
So, is this the correct path of evolution?
The problem might be that the environment it was exposed to before was too simple, and you exposed it to too few samples.
After saying goodbye to Rimbaud, Scott walked toward the castle with a heavy heart.
It's another terrifying prophecy, and another chaotic situation within the Ministry of Magic.
His brain received too much information in a short period of time, and it was almost unable to handle it.
Chapter 360 Prophecy and the Three Professors
Scott kept thinking, and when he reached the entrance of the auditorium, he remembered that he was going to the Transfiguration Club that night.
He took out his pocket watch and checked the time, realizing he was too late for dinner.
So he simply turned around and went straight to the second floor of the castle's main building, entering the classroom before the club activity began.
He then spent an hour somewhat absentmindedly.
Perhaps because of his unusual behavior, Professor McGonagall called him over after the club event ended.
“Mr. Trollope,” Professor McGonagall looked at him, her voice somewhat stern, “I noticed that you were somewhat distracted during the process just now.”
“Excuse me, Professor McGonagall,” Scott replied reflexively.
“I don’t want to hear you apologize, Mr. Trollope. I know you fairly well; I don’t think you’re the kind of student who would slack off in your studies,” Professor McGonagall added.
Her tone softened. "What I want to say is that if you encounter anything that affects your studies, the best option for you is to seek help from your professor promptly."
Scott looked up and saw the concern in Professor McGonagall's eyes.
After thinking about it, he decided to tell the professors about the prophecy and seek their help.
The prophecy sounded very complicated and involved things that were clearly beyond his current capabilities. He didn't think it would be a good idea for him to face it alone.
Thinking of this, he began to recount, "Something happened. After the afternoon classes, I met Professor Trelawney in the castle's back garden..."
Professor McGonagall's expression subtly changed the moment she heard the name Trelawney.
Her eyebrows were slightly raised, her brows furrowed slightly, and her already tightly pursed lips were pressed even tighter, making the nasolabial folds at the corners of her mouth even deeper.
Taking a deep breath, she interrupted Scott somewhat impatiently.
"Did she say something scary to you? Like a prophecy about when you would die?"
Her voice was clearly sarcastic, and as she spoke, her eyes were fixed on Scott with a hint of incomprehension.
"Many people know that Professor Trelawney predicts the death of her students every year, but her predictions have never come true!"
After saying a few words, she couldn't help but take a deep breath before continuing.
“I don’t understand.” She kept her eyes fixed on Scott. “You don’t seem like the type to believe her nonsense.”
Professor McGonagall's series of reactions were so amusing that even Scott, who was feeling somewhat heavy-hearted at the moment, couldn't help but smile.
“I know, Professor,” he said earnestly to Professor McGonagall. “I know that Professor Trelawney’s predictions are mostly a kind of… well, performance.”
He lowered his voice at this point, "But I also know that she once made a real prophecy... the one about Harry and the Man of Void."
As soon as he finished speaking, Professor McGonagall's expression changed immediately.
She couldn't help but raise her hand to push up her square-framed glasses, her tightly pursed lips trembled, and the nasolabial folds at the corners of her mouth became somewhat stiff.
It took her quite a while before she began to speak again.
"I don't know where you got that news from."
At this moment, her voice became somewhat unsteady.
"But I can tell you for sure that Professor Trelawney never performed up to the standards expected of a divination professor again after that day."
At this point, she seemed to calm down a bit.
"To this day, I still don't know what the prophecy she uttered that night actually was."
She said this with some dissatisfaction.
"All I know is that Dumbledore was willing to give her a professorship because of that prophecy."
Scott could tell that Professor McGonagall looked down on Professor Trelawney and the Divination course itself.
It seems that if we want her to take this matter seriously, we need to let her see the scene with her own eyes.
“I know all that you’re saying,” he said calmly. “But at the time… I don’t know how to describe it. In short, you’ll understand once you see the scene for yourself.”
As he spoke, he took out a panoramic telescope from the lizard skin bag and then pulled out his own [magic mirror].
Professor McGonagall was about to say something, but after seeing Scott's actions, she changed her tune, "Is this the thing you invented that can preserve images and sounds?"
It seems she's aware of the hot news at Hogwarts Castle these past few days.
Scott nodded, drew his wand, and skillfully extracted the images and sounds from the panoramic telescope and eagle brooch, importing them into the [Magic Mirror].
Next, he quickly slid his finger across the surface of the [magic mirror], combining the "video" and "audio" together as fast as possible.
After doing all this, he turned the [Magic Mirror] around and placed it on the podium in front of Professor McGonagall, then tapped the mirror with his finger again.
The previously still image on the mirror began to move, accompanied by a clear sound.
"Ho, ho ho..."
Seeing Professor Trelawney's erratic behavior reflected in the mirror, Professor McGonagall frowned deeply, her expression becoming serious.
"The scroll of history opens... The awakened witch... The sleeping great man... He sought to devour... He was defeated by those who no longer exist!"
The sound coming from the [Magic Mirror] perfectly reproduced Professor Trelawney's voice, which sounded like the howling of hundreds of female ghosts. Scott couldn't help but raise his hands and rub his slightly aching ears.
Professor Trelawney returned to normal and resumed her flamboyant performance, and the images playing in the mirror stopped again. Only then did Professor McGonagall look up at Scott.
She hesitated for a moment and said, "Mr. Trollope, this prophecy, well, it might be a real prophecy, but it doesn't seem to have anything to do with you?"
“I think I am the one she was talking about who doesn’t exist,” Scott said softly. “My intuition has been telling me that ever since I heard the prophecy.”
He knew his explanation sounded somewhat clumsy, but he couldn't come up with any other more reasonable explanation.
Is he going to tell everyone that he came from another world, and that this world was just a novel in his original world?
This sounds even more like nonsense than his current explanation.
Fortunately, this is the magical world. For wizards who are born with magical powers, the power of the mind is undoubtedly strong, and no one would think that there is anything wrong with a wizard trusting his intuition for warning.
Just now, upon hearing his words, Professor McGonagall's eyes showed worry.
“This matter must be reported to Professor Dumbledore.” An apologetic look appeared on her face. “I’m sorry, I have no experience dealing with so-called prophecies.”
Scott could tell that Professor McGonagall was trying to remain calm and was making a concerted effort to hide her anxiety.
She probably didn't expect that this was actually true, and that it was beyond her control.
But Scott was not disappointed, which was something he had been prepared for; he could feel Professor McGonagall's sincere concern for him.
After Scott nodded, Professor McGonagall quickly took out her wand.
She took a deep breath and slowly exhaled, seemingly trying to calm herself down.
"Take the God's Protection!"
Silver smoke billowed from her wand, forming a silver spotted cat that seemed to exist between reality and illusion.
The cat leaped nimbly through the air and quickly left the classroom.
While waiting for Dumbledore to arrive, Professor McGonagall reviewed Trelawney's prophecy again, attempting to interpret it using her knowledge.
But her interpretation wasn't much better than Scott's.
Because she hadn't heard Trelawney's prophecy about the Thestrals in front of Luna last semester, Professor McGonagall could only guess that the "Resurrected Witch" was Medea Slytherin, but she wasn't entirely sure.
So Scott told her the contents of the prophecy as well.
As the two were talking, Dumbledore hurriedly pushed open the classroom door and walked in, followed closely by Professor Flitwick.
“Oh… Scott.” Professor Flitwick was slightly out of breath, but he spoke first, “I’ve heard…”
“Felius, Albus, take a look at this first.” Professor McGonagall readily handed the [Magic Mirror] to Professor Flitwick.
"Oh...I remember..."
