The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

Professor Flitwick had played Scott's [Magic Mirror] before, so he quickly clicked on "Video".
Dumbledore could easily watch with him simply by lowering his head.
"Ha... history... witch... slumber... devour... failure..."
When Trelawney's excessively terrifying voice rang out, Professor Flitwick, with his pointed ears, gasped and nearly dropped the Magic Mirror.
Scott's ears suffered another ton of damage.
Scott simply covered his ears, while Professor Flitwick endured the torment and watched the "video" to the end.
After Dumbledore and Professor Flitwick finished reading, without Scott having to say anything, Professor McGonagall told them about the "intuition" Scott had just mentioned.
After listening, Dumbledore merely glanced at Scott and offered no objection.
Scott understood that Dumbledore wouldn't readily accept his explanations like Professor McGonagall, but on the other hand, the old headmaster was very tolerant of his students in many ways.
He would believe that Scott corresponds to the identity of the "non-existent one" in the prophecy, and would not delve too deeply into why Scott was so certain.
For Scott, that was enough.
As for Professor Flitwick… the way he looked at Scott was exactly the same as the way Professor McGonagall looked at him, and because of his sensitive nature, the worry he showed was even more obvious.
He looked at Scott with concern for a while before looking up at Dumbledore and asking, "Albus, how do you think this prophecy should be interpreted?"
Dumbledore's expression was somewhat solemn, and even more so, troubled.
“I’m sorry, Felius,” he said softly, “I can’t fully decipher it either.”
Professor Flitwick said somewhat anxiously, "Then what should we do? Should we start with Lady Slytherin, who was mentioned in the prophecy?"
"The resurrected witch has stirred up a storm." Professor McGonagall repeated a line from the prophecy, and then said, "If we can restrain the Slytherin lady's actions and make the so-called storm disappear, then the prophecy will not hold true."
Professor Flitwick's eyes lit up. "That certainly sounds like a workable idea, Minerva!"
At this point, Dumbledore sighed, “No, the storm has been stirred up and cannot be stopped easily.”
"Albus?"
Professor Flitwick and Professor McGonagall both looked at him.
Dumbledore briefly explained the current chaotic situation in the wizarding world.
Professors Flitwick and McGonagall, who were dedicated to teaching and nurturing students, were astonished upon hearing this, their mouths agape.
If Scott only felt like he had missed a few episodes, their feeling was probably like they had missed an entire season.
"Why is this happening?" Professor Flitwick asked, perplexed.
Unlike Flitwick and McGonagall, Dumbledore wasn't in a hurry. He turned his gaze to Scott, who was standing quietly to the side.
“Scott,” he said kindly, “what are your own thoughts on the prophecy?”
Scott was just about to say a few words of comfort to Professor Flitwick, telling him not to worry because of him, when he heard Dumbledore's question.
Faced with the old principal's question, Scott couldn't help but voice the idea that had first popped into his head.
“I did have that idea, Professor Dumbledore,” he replied.
Under the gaze of the three professors, he said softly, "If I completely forget the contents of this prophecy, can I avoid actively choosing the fate revealed by the prophecy because of my pursuit of it?"
Upon hearing his idea, both Professor Flitwick and Professor McGonagall fell into deep thought.
But Dumbledore immediately uttered a statement that Scott couldn't refute: "How do you know that choosing to forget right now isn't the path to prophecy?"
Scott opened his mouth, looking like he was about to cry but had no tears.
He murmured, "So, if a prophecy happens, it means that one has been chosen by fate and there's no way to change it?"
Dumbledore shook his head again.
“I’m sorry, child,” he said slowly. “I can’t give you the right answer to this question either. Even though I’ve lived for over a hundred years, I’ve never been able to see fate clearly.”
A brief silence fell over the classroom.
None of the three professors tried to comfort Scott by saying that "the final outcome of the prophecy is good."
Those present were all intelligent people, and they all clearly knew that although the prophecy said that the "great man" would be defeated by the "non-existent man," this did not mean that the "non-existent man" would necessarily have a good outcome.
[The one who is gone] sounds like a victory, but a complete victory is a victory, a painful victory is also a victory, and even dying a second later than the enemy is a victory...
No one can say for sure what the final outcome will be.
The silence in the classroom lasted for a while. Professor McGonagall remained standing in place, while Professor Flitwick began pacing back and forth.
They were still thinking when Dumbledore spoke again.
He said to Scott, "So, would you like to hear the advice of this old man?"
He spoke with a kind smile on his face.
This smile is gentle, with kindness and tolerance; yet it is also full of power, as if it is fearless of everything.
Scott was also somewhat infected and couldn't help but smile.
He nodded to Dumbledore. "Of course, Professor."
Chapter 361 Does Avalon Really Exist?
"Fate has chosen you, and you can only face it."
Dumbledore looked directly at Scott with his deep blue eyes, his voice gentle and encouraging.
“Courage, although people are used to associating this word with Gryffindor, I believe courage exists in everyone’s heart.”
Scott's mind gradually calmed down.
What's done is done, and there's no way to avoid it. There's no other way but to face it directly.
"The most important thing is not to let anything affect your heart, not to make choices against your conscience," Dumbledore continued. "It is not our abilities that determine our lives, but our choices."
Scott laughed. “You’re right, Professor. I won’t be deterred by what is still a vague prophecy, nor will I let it affect the path I’m on.”
He had to admit that although inspirational quotes may seem useless, people sometimes do need a little something delicious.
Upon hearing Scott's answer, Dumbledore nodded with satisfaction, his usual cheerful demeanor returning.
“Of course, you should also remember that you are not alone,” he continued. “You have family, friends, and us old guys, and I believe no one would refuse to help you.”
At this moment, Professor McGonagall spoke up, "I've said it before, Mr. Trollope, whatever you encounter, you can seek help from your professors."
Professor Flitwick simply walked up to Scott and looked up at him.
“Oh, Scott, I believe in you. You are one of the best students Ravenclaw has ever had, and I believe you can overcome any difficulty. Of course, don’t forget, the entire Ravenclaw school is backing you.”
He finished speaking somewhat emotionally, and then reached out and patted Scott's arm reassuringly.
“Thank you.” Scott lowered his eyelids, a smile on his face. “Professor Flitwick, Professor McGonagall, Professor Dumbledore.”
At this moment, his heart was at peace, and the fear and cowardice that had arisen after hearing the prophecy had vanished.
Scott didn't try to control it, but once he decided to face it head-on, those useless emotions simply disappeared.
"I have one more suggestion."
Dumbledore spoke again, saying, "You can seek clues and decipher the true meaning of the prophecy; we will help you with that. But please remember, do not force it."
When he said, “We will all help,” both Professor Flitwick and Professor McGonagall nodded to Scott.
Dumbledore added, "It is certain that in the days to come everything mentioned in the prophecy will appear before you, perhaps unexpectedly or suddenly."
At this point, his tone became encouraging again, "And what you need to do is make yourself strong, strong enough to face those difficulties."
“Yes,” Scott replied, agreeing with his words.
While the professors would certainly not refuse to help or protect him, he could not rely on that.
No one can protect him every moment; only by becoming strong himself can he face any difficulties without fear.
Dumbledore smiled at him again, his long silver beard trembling slightly. "If it were any other student, I would advise him to accept our close protection. But if it's you, I trust you, Scott, because you are a student whom everyone calls a genius."
Faced with such praise, Scott could only nod slightly.
Compared to the old principal in front of him, although he didn't consider himself a rare genius, he was still somewhat proud and confident, and didn't think he wouldn't reach the same level as the old principal in the future.
“Go ahead,” Professor Flitwick said to Scott. “Perhaps you should forget about all this for now and get some rest. Oh, and remember to come to my office after dinner tomorrow.”
Scott responded again.
He received instruction from Professor Flitwick every Tuesday evening, a habit he had maintained for a long time.
Judging from Professor Flitwick's expression, the professor's guidance to him will likely be intensified going forward.
Scott certainly wouldn't refuse such special treatment.
Professor McGonagall added, "It seems you need to accelerate your progress in Transfiguration, Mr. Trollope. You have such talent, which is your strength, and I think you can definitely learn Animagus before the summer vacation."
Scott agreed.
"Just do what you can," Dumbledore said with a smile.
Scott bid farewell to the three professors, put away his [magic mirror], and left the classroom.
The three professors did not leave immediately; presumably, they would discuss the matter.
Scott glanced back at the door of the Transfiguration Club, then hurried away.
He skillfully navigated the winding corridors and moving staircases, climbing to the eighth floor with a clear goal in mind, and entered Helena's study.
For Scott, his biggest support was Ravenclaw, who had become his mentor.
Although all that can help him now is a portrait of Ravenclaw, it is a portrait of the House's founder, renowned for her wisdom and vast knowledge, who may have a clearer interpretation of the prophecy.
The girl in the painting, Helena, was somewhat surprised by Scott's arrival at this time, but at his earnest request, she quickly opened the door to the inner room for him.
After seeing the portrait of Ravenclaw, Scott only gave a few brief words before using the [Magic Mirror] again to let Ravenclaw and Helena in the portrait see Trelawney's prophecy.
“This is indeed a true prophecy,” says Ravenclaw in the painting.
After watching the entire "video," she frowned, which was quite rare for her.
"Mother?"
Helena nestled close to her, looking somewhat uneasy; she seemed frightened by Trelawney's behavior in the "video."
Ravenclaw gently patted Helena's hand.
