Scott looked up and glanced at Luna with a puzzled expression.

“I’ve already extracted the problematic section.” Luna reached for the [Magic Mirror] and tapped it a few times on the surface, gesturing for Scott to take another look.

Scott looked again.

This time it's animated footage.

Mr. Bode got up from behind his desk, walked to the unusually messy bookshelf, reached out and took the black book from the shelf, then turned and left.

The image freezes.

After watching it again, Scott still couldn't find anything amiss.

But he chose not to ask a question.

Since Luna said she found a problem in the footage, it means that he overlooked something.

So he picked up the [magic mirror] again, tapped the mirror, and played the video several more times.

It wasn't until the fifth time he watched it that he finally discovered the problem.

This flaw isn't particularly well hidden, but it's easy to miss if you don't pay close attention to the footage.

The problem lies in the number of books on the bookshelf.

The bookshelf was very messy, with various documents and books piled up haphazardly, and the books all looked similar to the one that Mr. Bode had taken.

But because the video could be paused and zoomed in, Scott still managed to count that the number of books on the shelf had not actually decreased after Mr. Bode took the book down.

In other words, the book in his hand appeared out of thin air.

Because he covered himself with his body when he took the book down, it was not apparent from behind that he had actually taken the book from the shelf.

"There's one more thing."

Luna ran her finger across the mirror, finally stopping the image at the moment Mr. Bode walked to the bookshelf and raised his hand as if to take a book.

Then she zoomed in on the image, showing Scott Mr. Bode's right hand.

“Here.” She pointed to the cuff of Mr. Bode’s right sleeve.

Upon closer inspection, Scott discovered another clue.

A faint golden glint peeked out from the edge of Mr. Bode's black cuff; upon closer inspection, it wouldn't be hard to guess that it was a gold card.

Now Scott can confirm that Mr. Bode is also a member of the Scholars Union.

Although it's still impossible to confirm whether he is Mr. B, this is still a gain.

“Thank you, Luna,” he said to Luna.

Mr. Bode was so careful in his actions when he was alone in his office that these two subtle flaws could not be easily discovered.

It's easy to imagine how much patience Luna put into this.

"You're welcome. I'm glad I could help," Luna said happily.

Scott nodded, then looked down at his reflection in the mirror again.

Through the reflection in the mirror at a certain angle, he saw the cold light gleaming in his eyes.

"Scott."

Just then, Luna reached out and put her hand on his arm.

Scott heard her ask, "What do you want to do?"

He turned his head and saw the worry in Luna's eyes.

“Don’t worry,” he said softly. “Right now, I just want to find out if he’s really the guy who’s threatening me.”

Luna asked seriously, "If it is him, what are you going to do next?"

“They can’t do anything,” Scott said.

"Really?" Luna blinked.

Scott nodded.

Luna then laughed again.

"I believe you because you can't lie to me."

She didn't even ask Scott why he wasn't doing anything; instead, she simply stood up and waved at him.

Goodnight, Scott.

Goodnight, Luna.

After watching Luna enter the girls' dormitory via the stairs, Scott looked away and returned his gaze to the [Magic Mirror].

He looked at Mr. Bode in the picture and smiled silently.

Although it's not confirmed yet, he guessed that this guy must be Mr. B.

To verify this conjecture, he began to employ the power of arithmetic and divination.

Although the known conditions are few, if we are only calculating a vague answer...

After one arithmetic divination session, Scott's guess was confirmed.

He turned off the image in the [Magic Mirror], got up, and walked towards his dormitory.

He did not deceive Luna.

He really can't do anything.

To deal with such a taciturn person who is accustomed to hiding himself and whose methods are unknown, he must be extremely careful.

Taking action rashly without fully understanding the other party may lead to unpredictable consequences.

He wasn't in a hurry and decided to wait for the other party to make another move.

Of course, he wasn't in a hurry because the other party's threats were just verbal.

Scott didn't care about this harmless threat.

In his mind, if Mr. B really had evidence that posed a real threat to him, given his eagerness to force him to comply, he probably would have already produced it.

Scott wouldn't worry about any serious consequences if he were to make baseless accusations by fabricating false memories for others, just like during the last trial.

If the enemy doesn't move, I won't move either.

He was neither as dependent on Mr. B and Grapland had assumed, nor did he value the [Knowledge Bank] as much as they thought, so he was fearless.

To be honest, although Grapland seemed like the right person, Scott always felt that she wasn't very smart.

Because of her performance, and Mr. B's empty threats during the trial, Scott no longer takes them too seriously.

Instead of spending too much time and energy outsmarting such a person, he would be better off learning more from his Ravenclaw mentor.

Of course, if Mr. B ever reveals any flaws, or if Scott finds out his true nature, then Scott will not be too lenient with him.

Chapter 397 Transformation Preparations Completed

For Scott, every day in May felt exceptionally long.

Because he had to be extremely careful and constantly mindful of having a mandrake leaf in his mouth every day.

Not only that, he also had to busy himself this month collecting other materials for Animagus potions—dew and hawk moth pupae.

He successfully purchased the pupae of the hawk moth through mail order, but the real problem was the dew.

The dew he needed had to be collected from places that had not seen sunlight or been touched by humans for seven whole days.

Scott had no choice but to ask Rimbaud and the crows to help him find a lush, sun-sheltered spot in the Forbidden Forest, where he would collect dew every morning.

Luna heard about it and offered to help.

That day, Scott woke up again while his roommates were still asleep. After carefully washing up, he went to the common room to meet Luna.

"Good morning."

Not long after, Luna came skipping down the stairs.

"Good morning……"

Scott's gaze shifted downwards, landing on her bare feet beneath her robe.

"What's wrong?" Luna, barefoot on the carpet, ran to Scott's side and tugged at his sleeve. "Let's go!"

Scott had to speak up, “Luna, we’re going into the forest, I think you’d better put on your shoes.”

"Really?" Luna looked down at her feet and curled her toes.

Scott simply waved for her to go quickly.

Luna nodded, then turned and ran back to her dorm room like a gust of wind.

When she came out again, she had obediently put on stockings and little leather boots.

Scott then nodded.

Afterward, the two left Ravenclaw Tower and headed straight for the Forbidden Forest.

In the early morning, before the sun had fully risen, a thin mist still lingered in the back gardens of Hogwarts Castle.

Scott and Luna wander through the winding garden.

Scott remained silent, still wearing his mask, while Luna walked around, constantly looking around and observing the flowers in the garden covered in dew, seemingly in a good mood.

Before long, the two walked through the garden and into the forbidden forest.

Soon after they entered the Forbidden Forest, Rimbaud flew over and offered to lead the way for Scott.

“Hello, Rimbaud.” Luna greeted Rimbaud in a friendly manner. “I am Luna, Luna Lovegood.”

Rimbaud glanced at her while flying, then looked at Scott.

Scott nodded at Rimbaud.

“Hello, Luna,” Rimbaud replied.

Luna was immediately delighted; she clearly liked Rimbaud very much and kept talking to him the whole way.

Rimbaud initially feigned modesty, but soon he was talking to Luna.
