Scott nodded vigorously again.

I remember, I really remember.

He really didn't want to drag his friends into danger with him anymore; he couldn't bear that kind of pressure.

McGonagall snorted again, but did not refute Dumbledore's words.

“Alright, let’s get back to the point,” Dumbledore said. “Scott, why do you think Broderick Bode is Mr. B? Is it just a coincidence of names?”

Scott looked up and said, "The coincidence of the name is not enough to make me suspect him. What makes me suspect him is the way he looked at me when we met, and I did some investigation afterwards."

At this point, he took out his [magic mirror] and found the "video".

The three professors looked at the image in the mirror with some surprise. With Scott's prompting, they also noticed Mr. Bode's inconspicuous flaw.

How did you do that?

Professor McGonagall looked at Scott with great confusion.

“It’s Transfiguration,” Scott said honestly.

But Professor McGonagall's doubts remained undiminished.

She said, "Even your Transfiguration professor doesn't know how you did this with Transfiguration."

Scott took out a block of ebony wood, waved his wand, and instantly conjured a surveillance lizard.

The grayish little lizard landed on Scott's palm and looked up at the three professors.

Scott then used his wand to pull a silver thread from the lizard's head and put it into the magic mirror.

Soon, the faces of the three professors appeared in the magic mirror.

"This……"

Professor McGonagall stared in shock at her reflection in the mirror, and it took her a long time to recover.

"Mr. Trollope, you actually did it!"

She didn't even bother to criticize Scott's methods for violating the rules, and spoke with great surprise.

"The addition of rune circuits during transformation can already be called instant alchemy!"

She even stood up and walked back and forth several times.

"If you publish a paper... no."

She shook her head.

“I remember Mr. Weasley… Bill Weasley published a similar paper, but if the reviewer hadn’t seen this, he certainly wouldn’t have believed you could actually do this…”

“Calm down, Minerva,” Dumbledore said. “That’s not the most important thing right now.”

“This is of course the most important!” Professor McGonagall retorted to Dumbledore for the first time in front of her students. “You were once a professor of Transfiguration, Albus, you should know how remarkable this child has been!”

Chapter 401 The Best Magic School in the World

Professor McGonagall was excited for a while before she calmed down.

When she was excited, she praised Scott's breakthrough in Transfiguration and was eager for him to publish an amazing paper to bring honor to Hogwarts.

But after calming down, she finally noticed the other side of the story.

“I’d like to know how you got this lizard into the Ministry of Magic, Mr. Trollope,” she asked, “and into the secluded office of the Department of Mysteries.”

Her expression was somewhat awkward; she seemed to be trying to maintain a serious demeanor, yet unconsciously wanted to protect her students.

“I memorized the route,” Scott said, “and then I had a raven deliver the lizard there.”

"Ravens?" Professor McGonagall asked, somewhat puzzled. "Those ravens you summoned to fight for you?"

"Are crows really that intelligent?" Professor Flitwick was also a little doubtful.

“Not ordinary crows,” Scott said. “They’re the product of transfiguration, just like before…”

He glanced at Professor Frivi.

"The method is similar to the previous covert filming of the battle that took place in Little Hangleton."

He did not mention Rimbaud.

Rimbaud was his most important partner, and he had no intention of revealing its special nature.

Professor Flitwick and Dumbledore both nodded knowingly.

Only Professor McGonagall was unaware of this. She turned to look at Dumbledore and Professor Flitwick, her eyes filled with inquiry.

Professor Flitwick offered a few words of explanation for Scott.

"The students did this and you didn't even tell me? And two Gryffindor students were among those who did it!" Professor McGonagall complained unhappily after hearing this.

Faced with her gaze, Professor Flitwick and Dumbledore both pretended to casually turn their heads to look out the window.

Professor McGonagall snorted and looked at Scott again.

This time, her gaze towards Scott was no longer awkward; it was now serious.

“How dare you do this? How dare you get involved in such a dangerous battle? And you think you can make money off this kind of information?” She began criticizing Scott again. “How incredibly stupid! Thank goodness Felius stopped you!”

Scott lowered his head again.

"However, since you told Philius and Albus about it afterwards, I will not pursue the matter further."

Professor McGonagall's voice rang out again.

"I must say, your talent in transformation is rare. To be able to implant a memory into the transformed product at the same time as transforming at this age is truly remarkable."

Her tone softened again, and she could no longer maintain a stern demeanor.

“Thank you for your praise, Professor McGonagall,” Scott said gratefully. “Every bit of progress I’ve made in Transfiguration is thanks to your guidance, and of course, Professor Dumbledore’s advice.”

Upon hearing him say that, Professor McGonagall's expression softened considerably, and even the two intimidating nasolabial folds on her face became much less pronounced.

"A hint?" Dumbledore's face showed a look of confusion, unsure whether it was true or not.

Scott said, "You told me that magic is the power of belief. Although it was just a short sentence, it broke through my preconceived notions and allowed me to take a big step forward in Transfiguration."

“Oh, it’s nothing to thank me for, I was just mentioning it in passing.” Dumbledore chuckled.

Professor Flitwick coughed. "Let's get back to Mr. Bode."

He asked the other two professors, "What do you think his purpose is?"

Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall both shook their heads.

“I don’t know what Mr. Bode wants me to do,” Scott said, “because I’ve been ignoring him and Miss Grapland.”

He paused, then continued, "When the Carol siblings attacked me, I briefly sensed Mr. Bode's magic. I suspect he's behind many things, such as that bizarre trial."

“Magic perception? But that can’t be used as evidence.” Dumbledore shook his head.

Scott nodded. "On the surface, he didn't do anything, except for some attempts to win me over and threaten me as a senior member of the Scholars' Alliance. And these threats only restricted some of my privileges within the Scholars' Alliance, which is nothing."

Dumbledore thought for a moment.

"Now I can only ask an acquaintance who works at the Ministry of Magic to keep an eye on him."

“That’s the only way,” Professor McGonagall said.

She stared at Scott again. "And you, Mr. Trollope, please remember to be careful and don't cause any more trouble. If anything happens, notify your professor immediately!"

“I understand, Professor,” Scott replied obediently.

Dumbledore laughed. “Need any help, Scott? I can speak with Broderick myself and have him grant you access to the Scholars’ Union.”

Professor Flitwick laughed too. "Oh, I believe that will make him much more restrained. He might even become panicked, because he doesn't know how Albus knows about him. Besides, wizards who are being targeted by Albus are always nervous."

“Wouldn’t that make him more cautious?” Scott said. “Besides, I don’t want to grant any special privileges. As I told Miss Grapland, I don’t think there are any better professors in the Scholars’ Union than at Hogwarts.”

Even Professor McGonagall smiled.

“While I would love to say don’t underestimate other wizards,” she said with a smile, “of course, Hogwarts is the best magic school in the world.”

Professor Flitwick nodded. "While it might be a bit immodest to say that, I clearly think so too."

“Then let someone keep an eye on Broderick,” Dumbledore said. “A person can only do things discreetly when no one is watching.”

After the conversation ended, Scott said goodbye to the three professors and then left Professor McGonagall's office.

"Scott!"

Scott looked in the direction of the sound and found his three roommates and Luna standing at the other end of the hallway waiting for him.

Scott strode up to his companions.

"Are you alright, Scott?" Luna looked up at him and asked with concern.

“I’m fine,” Scott said.

"Have the professors penalized us?" Milton asked anxiously. "The semester is almost over, and Ravenclaw can't afford to lose the College Cup because of a few of us."

Hearing him say that, Roger and Eddie also became nervous.

Scott understood their thinking.

During this school year, due to Snape and Sirius's sabotage, Gryffindor and Slytherin lost too many points and were no longer eligible to compete for the House Cup.

With such a great opportunity, even the Hufflepuffs, who are not usually competitive, started to work hard.

Although Ravenclaw is currently ranked first in the House Points rankings, the difference between them and Hufflepuff is not that significant.

If Ravenclaw loses the College Cup this year because of the points deducted from their five players, they will probably be blamed by many people in the College.

Scott didn't answer Milton's question immediately, but instead looked at their expressions again.

His three roommates looked at him nervously, but Luna, after learning that he was alright, started daydreaming and clearly didn't care about the Academy Cup.

Scott finally spoke up when his three roommates were on the verge of taking action.

He smiled and said, "Don't worry, no points were deducted."

"Great!"

"We are still the champions!"

"Thank you, Merlin! Thank you, Professor!"
