The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

After a hearty lunch, they went back into the examination room.
The afternoon's practical exam on spells was still held in the auditorium.
This practical exam was set up as a level-based test, with each level requiring students to use specific spells to solve the corresponding challenge.
Each checkpoint has a proctor responsible for scoring.
The simplest first challenge was a locked door, which Scott successfully unlocked using a lock-picking spell.
The second obstacle was a tall wooden fence. Scott used a cutting spell to break a few planks and then passed through.
The third challenge involves several golden thieves constantly flying around in a small space. Scott uses a freezing spell to stop them from running around.
In the fourth level, Scott used a repair spell to fix a tattered little boat and rowed it through a waterway.
In the fifth level, Scott used the Ironclad Charm to block the attacks of several wandering balls, and then decisively used the Explosive Charm to destroy them all at once.
Thus, under the astonished gaze of the invigilators, his practical exam ended, and he walked out of the examination room again.
"Scott."
The twins, who had taken the exam before him, immediately ran over.
“How did you deal with those wandering balls?” Fred asked. “George almost got his head smashed by a wandering ball, but he shattered them with a crushing spell.”
"You almost got your nose broken by the walking ball!" George retorted.
And so, the two of them started arguing back and forth, leaving Scott standing there.
Scott, on the other hand, watched the two bickering without any surprise.
At that moment, Cedric walked over.
“Scott, you’re right,” he said to Scott. “They did make some changes to the exam.”
"Wasn't the practical exam like this before?" Scott asked.
“The Charms practical exams my dad took were really boring,” Cedric said. “They just had to cast a specific charm on a target.”
"Oh, that's really boring."
"Completely unoriginal!"
Fred and George stopped arguing and put their arms around each other, agreeing with Cedric.
Then, the two started complaining again.
"Why did our fathers never tell us these things?"
"Of course, Mom doesn't have any either."
They quickly found the answer themselves.
"I think it's because they're all too busy."
"No, I think it's because we have too many children in our family, and they don't remember who they talked to or who they didn't talk to."
“I would prefer the current testing method,” Scott told Cedric.
“I also think the current exams are better; they not only test our mastery of spells, but also our adaptability,” Cedric said.
But the twins were somewhat dissatisfied.
"I don't think it's good enough. It would be even better if it were more exciting."
"If we were to design the levels, this game would definitely become much more interesting."
The two started whispering to each other again, sharing their suggestions for modifying the levels.
The students who overheard their conversation unconsciously moved a little further away.
If the exam room is arranged according to the twins' wicked idea, many people will suffer.
“Fred, George, that’s not a game.”
Only the honest Cedric kindly reminded them.
Chapter 404 Ravenclaw's Celebration Dinner
The subject of Scott and his classmates' exam the next day was Transfiguration, and the examiner in charge was still Ms. Marchban.
After the written test in the morning went smoothly, Scott was surrounded by a large group of people.
As a recognized Transfiguration genius at Hogwarts, many people wanted to discuss the answers to the morning's Transfiguration written exam with him, and seek advice for the afternoon's practical exam.
There were too many classmates surrounding him, all talking at once, and Scott couldn't possibly keep up even if he had several mouths.
“Sorry, too many people have asked, I can’t answer them all,” Scott said, raising his voice slightly. “How about this, I’ll write down my test paper for everyone to see.”
Hearing him say that, everyone looked at him with some surprise.
"Wouldn't that be too much trouble?"
"Scott, I didn't expect you to be so kind. Thank you."
Many students looked at him with expressions that said, "I didn't expect you to be such a kind and helpful person."
Looking at their expressions, Scott felt a little uneasy.
How cold-hearted do I look?
he thinks.
I'm so sorry I couldn't let you see my kindness at first glance.
Despite his complaints, Scott still took out a piece of parchment and used magic to imprint the exam he had completed onto it, based on his memory.
only……
Upon seeing his actions, the students' first reaction was not to express their gratitude.
"So you weren't going to write down the answers yourself?" one student blurted out, expressing everyone's thoughts.
"..."
Scott was speechless.
"Is there any difference?" he asked helplessly.
"No, no, thank you."
The other person grinned and quickly took the parchment from his hand to look at it.
The others then began to use copying spells on the parchment.
At this point, Scott finally managed to shake off his classmates and walked out of the crowd with Roger and Milton.
Milton remained uneasy, and he even deliberately ignored Scott's answer.
"Transfiguration is my worst subject," he said, distressed. "I'd rather not know the answers, lest it affect my practical exam this afternoon."
Although he said that, the anxious look on his face was quite obvious.
Scott and Roger were used to his performance before each exam, so neither of them talked to him about the exams. Instead, they talked about the upcoming summer vacation.
Roger asked Scott, "Will you go abroad again during the summer vacation? It's a rare opportunity to host the Quidditch World Cup in the UK this year; it would be a shame to miss it."
Scott said, "I'll go to my parents' place first, and then come back to England on the day of the World Cup final to watch the most exciting match."
“That’s fine too,” Roger said with a smile. “But I’m planning to watch the entire World Cup match.”
Then, he began to discuss the level of Quidditch national teams from various countries in great detail, predicting which team would lift the World Cup trophy.
Scott and Milton didn't know as much about it as Roger, but they listened with great interest.
"So you think the British national team, as the host country, has a chance to win the title this year?" Scott asked.
"I can only say there is hope."
Roger shrugged, seemingly not too optimistic about the British team's chances of winning the championship.
"I hope you can be careful."
Scott thought for a moment and then offered a reminder.
"What's wrong?" Roger and Milton looked at him with some surprise.
“Don’t forget the attack we suffered in the Forbidden Forest last time,” Scott said. “Although you were implicated because of me last time, the Carol siblings’ blatant actions show that the Death Eaters have become active again.”
Roger's expression changed slightly. "Are you worried they'll cause trouble during the World Cup?"
“I think that’s possible,” Scott said. “The Ministry of Magic is now a complex web of conflicting forces, and things have become quite chaotic.”
Roger's face grew even uglier. "The World Cup will bring many wizards from all over the world to watch the games. If something really happens, the British Ministry of Magic, as the host, will undoubtedly lose face."
“It’s already embarrassing enough.” Milton shook his head. “The British magical community is constantly in trouble, and the Ministry of Magic has done nothing. These things can’t be hidden very well.”
Roger nodded in agreement, then asked Scott, "By the way, were the Carol siblings caught?"
Scott shook his head.
The Carol siblings' crime at Hogwarts, especially the attack on underage wizards, is undoubtedly a serious offense.
Within the Ministry of Magic, they have all been officially wanted after a joint effort by the All Wizarding Council and the Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
They simply vanished completely after using Apparition to leave the Forbidden Forest that day, and no one knows where they went.
Of course, Scott guessed that Dumbledore must have already obtained intelligence about them, including Voldemort's whereabouts.
Since Snape, the double agent, was still around, he would naturally provide Dumbledore with this information.
In the original story, Voldemort's successful resurrection caught Dumbledore completely off guard. Whether he can successfully resurrect this time is uncertain.
However, Scott didn't think too much about these things. They weren't important to him. He wasn't Harry, and he had no connection with Voldemort. Many things didn't involve him.
The enemy he faces is probably many times more terrifying than Voldemort.
After lunch, the transfiguration practical exam began.
Although this practical exam was different from previous ones, it was exceptionally easy for Scott.
The students need to use Transfiguration to retrieve a golden key hidden inside a set of curved pipes.
Of course, this is on the premise of not damaging or altering the pipeline.
Scott used Transfiguration to create a mouse and successfully retrieved the key in just three minutes.
