This time, everyone is a competitor, and it's a battle to see who can collect enough letters of recommendation first.

It happened to be a Saturday, and Scott arrived at Professor Flitwick's office early in the morning.

“Oh, I knew you’d come, Scott,” Professor Flitwick said with a smile. “Of course, I was sure you’d be on the list of students going to Beauxbatons.”

Scott laughed too. "Thank you, Professor. I have that confidence too."

"very good."

Professor Flitwick quickly wrote the letter of recommendation and handed it to Scott.

"Go find other professors, I won't take up any more of your time. Come back to me after you've confirmed you've secured a spot."

Scott agreed, bowed, and took his leave.

He went to Professor McGonagall's office.

“Scott? I know why you’re here,” Professor McGonagall said with a smile. “Of course, you are one of the best students at Hogwarts, and I will recommend books to you.”

She wrote a recommendation letter efficiently and effectively.

Scott thanked him in return and left.

At the door, he encountered Harry and his two companions.

"Oh, Scott, you've got Professor McGonagall's recommendation letter!"

Hermione glanced at the parchment in Scott's hand.

"How many copies did you get?" she asked nervously.

“Two copies.” Scott produced another parchment signed by Professor Flitwick.

“Congratulations, you’re really fast,” Harry said.

Scott nodded. "Would you like to give it a try too?"

“We might succeed, don’t we?” Ron said somewhat awkwardly. “I mean, Harry is a celebrity, and Hermione has excellent grades.”

“Oh, don’t say that, Ron!” Harry said, feeling embarrassed.

Clearly, he didn't like Ron mentioning his fame.

Scott remained expressionless. "Of course, good luck to you."

“Thank you,” Hermione said. “I think we do have a chance of getting a recommendation letter, after all, as far as I know, you’re not even 17 yet.”

"Good luck." Scott waved and turned to leave.

In the following period, Scott visited Professor Victor, Professor Babling, and Professor Slughorn, and successfully obtained five letters of recommendation.

Because Professor Slughorn kept him chatting for a while, Cedric was already there when he arrived at the principal's office.

“Oh, Scott, you’re the second one,” Cedric said with a friendly smile.

Scott sighed, "Looks like I'm still not as popular as you, Cedric."

“Don’t say that,” Cedric said modestly. “I think it’s because I’m just a few months older than you and have met the age requirement, so the professors readily approved my application.”

Dumbledore took the five letters of recommendation from Scott and said with a smile, "You are all outstanding students whom I have high hopes for. I believe you will be able to represent Hogwarts and demonstrate your excellence."

Scott and Cedric thanked him and left together.

After leaving the headmaster's office, Cedric said to Scott, "It may sound a bit cunning, but I still want to say it. It's fortunate that you're underage, Scott, otherwise I probably wouldn't be confident of being selected as a Hogwarts champion."

Scott laughed. "Oh, you're confident now? You know, there will definitely be seventh-year students participating in Hogwarts."

Cedric exuded confidence, saying, "Of course, my willingness to participate means I have confidence in myself."

“I have to say that too,” Scott said. “If the 17+ rule is a dead end, then so be it, but if there’s a chance to circumvent it, I’ll compete.”

Cedric was taken aback at first, but quickly laughed. "If you can find a way to bypass the rules, it only proves that you are indeed more suitable to be a warrior than me. I will congratulate you then, after all, we both represent Hogwarts."

“You rascal,” Scott chuckled. “I must say, you’re a really good person.”

Cedric shook his head and patted Scott on the shoulder. "I want to remind you, Scott, that's just your assumption. I haven't given up yet."

“We’ll see then,” Scott said. “Of course, if you are the champion representing Hogwarts, I will sincerely congratulate you.”

"Thanks?"

"No need to say thank you so soon. Perhaps your choice of the Warriors will surprise you, but I will successfully overcome that rule."

"Let's wait and see."

Chapter 454 Studying to Realize My Brainstorming Ideas

After saying goodbye to Cedric, Scott went to the Room of Requirement alone.

As he entered the study, he heard the regretful voice of Helena, the girl in the painting.

"What a pity, Scott!"

Scott walked up to the painting where Helena was. "Why is it such a pity?"

In the painting, Helena is lounging on a large, soft-looking chair, resting her chin on her hand.

“I meant the Triwizard Tournament.” She pursed her lips. “You’re not 17 yet, so you can’t be a Hogwarts champion.”

Scott smiled. "That's hard to say."

“Oh?” Helena sat up straight, staring at Scott outside the frame. “Do you have any way to bypass the 17-year-old age limit? With an age-defying agent?”

Scott shook his head. "An aging agent? Of course not."

"Then what's your plan?" Helena asked curiously.

“I don’t know,” Scott said matter-of-factly.

Helena got a little angry when she heard that. "Are you kidding me?"

“Of course not,” Scott said. “If the organizers were planning to eliminate all underage students based solely on their applications, I wouldn’t have a chance at all. But I guess they won’t do that.”

"You know the Goblet of Fire?"

Another voice, similar to the girl in the painting but more mature, rang out.

The ghost Helena suddenly appeared in the study.

Scott turned around. "Although centuries have passed since the last Triwizard Tournament, there are still some written records if you look carefully."

"What Goblet of Fire?" asked Helena, the girl in the painting.

Before the ghost Helena opened the study, the magical portrait in the room was in an "inactive" state, so she was unaware of the Goblet of Fire.

"The Goblet of Fire is..."

The ghost Helena explained the existence of the Goblet of Fire to a portrait of herself as a girl.

After she finished speaking, she looked at Scott and said, "The Goblet of Fire will select the most suitable students to become warriors, but the first thing you have to do is successfully put your name in, which is not something that can be done easily."

Scott simply said, "Whether it's magic or alchemical items, there's always a way to break them. Although I don't know how to put the name in yet, there will always be a way."

"Hmph, you're quite confident," said Helena, the girl in the painting. "I hope you don't mess it up."

Helena the Ghost simply smiled. "It's a pity that this year's Triwizard Tournament isn't being held at Hogwarts. I'm really looking forward to Scott's performance."

The girl in the painting asks her, "Do you think highly of him?"

Ghost Helena smiled slightly, "Of course, Scott is currently the best student at Ravenclaw. Not only that, he is also Mother's apprentice."

“Alright, for your mother’s sake.” The girl in the painting glanced at Scott. “I hope you won’t bring shame to your mother and Ravenclaw.”

"hope so."

Scott smiled and then went into the inner room.

"Do you want to participate in the Triwizard Tournament as a warrior?" the Ravenclaw mentor in the painting asks.

“Yes,” Scott replied.

Ravenclaw nodded slightly. "Ready?"

“I already have some ideas,” Scott replied again. “I originally planned to wait until the mana-enhancing potion was made before trying it.”

However, the magic-boosting potion takes half a year to make, which seems too late for the start of the Triwizard Tournament.

So Scott decided to try the lower-spec version first.

In other words, we don't need to do it all at once.

Anyway, with his current level of transformation skills, even a low-end version of him would have basic intelligence and the ability to fight independently, but he just wouldn't be able to become a fixed partner like Rimbaud.

He told Ravenclaw, "In terms of Transfiguration, in addition to the fire element which I've already tried, I also plan to create three commonly used 'summons' of the water, earth, and wind elements to help me in battle."

“Four elements?” Ravenclaw nodded. “I have already taught you the relevant rune circuits, and I believe you can accomplish your goals.”

Scott said respectfully, "But I have another idea, and I'm not very sure about it. I would like to ask for your guidance, mentor."

Ravenclaw immediately became interested. "Tell me about it."

“I’ve named this set of runes [Icy Ocean Starry Sky Illusion].” Scott said, taking out the Sailor’s Astrolabe. “It’s a rune circuit I got from the Sailor’s Astrolabe, but it seems a bit too complicated.”

He drew his wand with his other hand and waved it in the air.

The magic shimmered in the air, turning into fine golden threads that formed an exceptionally complex circuit of magical runes.

Scott stared in fascination at the intricate patterns he had created with his magic.

"I can only replicate, but I don't understand it yet."

“What do you want from this?” Ravenclaw asked.

Scott said, "I think if I could gain some ability to manipulate illusions by analyzing this set of magical runes, my combat would become much more flexible."

"I see."

In the painting, Ravenclaw stares intently at the set of rune circuits.

After a long while, she spoke again, "I understand it now. I must say, this set of magic runes is extremely ingenious, a type that even I have never tried before."

Scott looked at her expectantly.

Ravenclaw shook his head. "Your idea is good, but it's too difficult to implement."

"Please explain."
