The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

Fred lifted the [magic mirror] and spun it around, showing the people on the other side where they were.
What are you doing?
How did you all get together?
What is Scott doing?
A cacophony of questions came from the [magic mirror].
"Oh, that's the [Goblet of Fire], we've already put our names in."
"Scott is researching..."
The people around Fred also gathered around him, answering his questions all at once.
Despite being separated by thousands of miles, the people of Hogwarts chatted enthusiastically.
Scott withdrew his hand at that moment.
“Let’s go, we can go back now,” he said. “The rest of the research can be carried out in the tower.”
“Let’s go then.” Fred still held up the [Magic Mirror]. “When we get back, we can show them the view here.”
A group of people walked around the [magic mirror] towards the exit of the banquet hall.
Although they had only been away for half a day, everyone felt a sense of warmth and familiarity at the moment, as they could chat with their classmates at Hogwarts.
Back in the tower, Scott took out a large mirror he had prepared beforehand and hung it in the common room.
This full-length mirror can simultaneously project the sound and images from the [Magic Mirror].
“We also hung the large mirror that Scott prepared in the auditorium,” George said in the mirror. “Unfortunately, everyone waited all night, but your live broadcast never came.”
Then, Eddie's chubby face moved closer to George.
"You guys must have forgotten!" he yelled. "You better not forget this next time!"
“Okay, we’ll remember that,” Scott assured him.
After the communication ended, Scott returned to his dormitory and began trying to restore the magic circuits inside the stone platform.
Roger leaned over to take a look for a while, but was overwhelmed by the dense array of magical runes. Fred was able to help Scott sort out the structure between the runes.
“Oh, are there so many ancient runes that are not commonly used?” Fred scratched his head in confusion. “Many of them we’ve never seen before, and we don’t need so many of them in our usual inventions.”
Scott said, "There's no need to interpret everything; much of it is just misleading."
“Even if we could decipher it all, there might not be a way to counter it,” Fred said. “Maybe I should try an aging agent tomorrow, just one drop will be enough.”
“Of course, you can give it a try,” Scott said with a smile.
Although it is unlikely to succeed, it will still provide an additional sample.
"Perhaps we should change our approach."
Scott put down his pen and fell into deep thought.
The next morning, Scott and Fred left Roger, who was still getting ready, and rushed to the banquet hall where the Goblet of Fire was located.
By this time, the stone platform was surrounded by people, all watching the beautiful silver-haired figure climb the steps one by one.
"Oh, what a pity, Roger, busy getting ready, completely missed this moment," Fred said gleefully.
Good morning, Scott, Fred.
Lucio waved to them.
“The Durmstrang students have all signed up,” he said. “And you, how’s your research going, Scott?”
He looked perfectly normal, and it seemed that Mrs. Maxim had not punished him for his "disobedience."
“Not sure yet,” Scott said. “I’ll try again later.”
"Then I'll be waiting to see how you do," Lucio said with a grin.
While the two were talking, Furong on the stone platform had already successfully registered.
The students of Beauxbatons cheered in unison.
It seems they were quite lively even without Mrs. Maxim's presence.
Next, several more students from Beauxbatons went on stage and successfully registered.
Of course, some students who were too young made unsuccessful attempts.
Soon, more and more students, like Scott, began to study the stone platform.
Watching this scene, Scott remarked, "The alchemical atmosphere here is quite strong."
“That’s one of Beauxbatons’ unique features,” Lucio said with a smile.
“You should be the best of all the students?” Scott looked at him. “After all, you’re already an ‘examiner’.”
Moreover, students who receive an invitation from the Scholars Alliance are not ordinary individuals.
“You’re right,” Lucio said without any modesty. “Now it’s up to you to solve this difficult problem.”
"Then let's give it a try."
Scott lifted his foot and walked forward.
Fred and Lucio followed behind him.
His actions attracted a lot of attention.
"Lucio, is he the one you're talking about?" Fleur asked coldly from the side.
“Yes, this is my good friend Scott Trollope, whom I met over the summer,” Lucio said.
"Hello, Miss Delacour."
Scott nodded politely.
"Hello, Mr. Trollope."
Perhaps because Scott appeared too calm and not at all captivated by her beauty, Fleur glanced at him with some surprise.
At the same time, she stopped in her tracks, turning away.
Scott also looked up at the stone platform in front of him.
He stood in front of the stone steps, motionless for a long time.
People around him started talking, but Scott remained oblivious.
In a channel that no one else could perceive, he was gradually suppressing the magical fluctuations around him.
This is also a talent brought about by his innate magical perception. As he continues to train and enhance his perception, his magic becomes more and more obedient.
Because wizards with magical perception are extremely rare, this ability to conceal one's own magical fluctuations has never been put to use.
But Scott had always suspected that this might help him break through some warning and detection magic, or magical items like the stone platform.
Because there was no further action, as time went on, more and more people began to question Scott.
Scott even heard Fleur's disdainful snort.
But Scott didn't lift a foot until all the magic in his body had completely subsided.
"It moved! It finally moved!"
At this moment, someone was even more excited than he was.
Scott stepped steadily onto the first stone step with his left foot, then lifted his other foot.
Soon, his right foot stepped onto that stone step.
Then, he lifted his left foot and stepped onto the second stone step.
He succeeded!
"My God, how did he do that!"
Exclamations of surprise rose and fell.
"Scott is challenging the Philosopher's Stone, which has an age barrier, and it seems he's succeeded..."
Fred is holding the [Magic Mirror] and doing live commentary.
But Scott's life was far from as easy as it seemed to everyone else.
Containing the fluctuations of magical power was indeed useful, allowing him to break through the first level of the stone steps, but it seemed to be nothing more than that.
When he tried to climb the second step, he immediately felt the obstacle Fred had described, as if two hands were pressing down on his shoulders, preventing him from going any further.
Scott tried several times, his forehead beaded with sweat, but his body remained motionless.
no way.
He shook his head and stepped down from the stone steps.
The crowd erupted in uproar.
"what happened?"
Why did you give up?
"Oh, he failed! What was the reason?" Fred's voice was full of frustration.
Scott turned to look at the smiling Lucio.
"It seems that this stone platform can detect more than just my magic power."
“That’s right.” Lucio said with a grin, “It’s not that simple. Although I’m surprised that you can completely control your magic, the second level of the stone steps tests your body. In short, it will test your age in all aspects.”
"I understand."
Scott nodded and fell into thought again.
"Let me try it now."
Fred shoved the magic mirror into Scott's hand, then pulled out the prepared potion and drank it all in one gulp.
He swaggered up to the stone steps and stepped onto them.
"Oh, he succeeded? The aging agent? As expected, the method I came up with worked!"
George's excited voice came from the Magic Mirror.
