“Maybe?” Scott smiled, unsure.

"That's settled then. If you make any new discoveries, be sure to let us know."

"goodbye!"

The twins, convinced they had already agreed, laughed and ran off like a gust of wind.

Scott shook his head and walked through the foyer into the auditorium.

He sat at the long table and read for a while, and then food appeared on the table.

It's breakfast time.

He put his books aside, took a glass of milk, some sausages and bacon, a sunny-side-up egg, and a soda bread roll. Then he began to slowly enjoy his breakfast.

Scott's three roommates finally appeared at the long table just as he was finishing his meal.

"Scott, why are you up so early?" Roger yawned as he sat down next to Scott.

“I probably got used to it during the summer vacation,” Scott said. “I followed my parents’ schedule during the summer vacation.”

“You know what, Scott? Something big happened last night without our knowledge,” Eddie said in a low, muffled voice as he tore a piece of bread into his mouth.

"what's up?"

Scott finished the milk in his glass in one gulp and put the glass down.

"You know, when school starts, the freshmen are always a bit later than us because they need to learn how to find their way. That's why we missed it last night!"

Eddie was clearly disappointed that he hadn't gotten the firsthand news, but he still told Scott with great enthusiasm: "Last night, when Cooper and Taylor were leading the freshmen up the spiral staircase of Ravenclaw Tower, one of the freshmen boys pushed a girl down the stairs."

Upon hearing this, Scott immediately realized something and asked, "Is the girl alright?"

“It’s alright, Cooper used the Levitation Charm on her in time,” Eddie said with a chuckle. “Anyway, the boy who pushed her angered everyone. He was kicked out of the dorm by his roommates and slept in the common room overnight. Penelope brought him back this morning.”

It turned out to be the case.

Scott realized that the boy was Jacob Kent.

However... he always felt that the boy's behavior didn't seem like the kind of person who would have the courage to push a classmate down the stairs.

But Penelope has handled it. Scott believes she handled it better than Cooper and Taylor.

So he quickly put the matter aside.

“I need to speak with Professor Flitwick, so I’ll head to the Charms classroom first.” Scott picked up his books and stood up. “See you in class later, Roger, Milton.”

“I’ll go with you, Scott!”

Roger stood up at that moment, holding the book and a sandwich in his hand.

"I need to ask the professor to cancel my divination class."

“Let’s do it together then,” Scott said without objection.

The two walked against the flow of students entering the auditorium and made their way to the Spells classroom on the fourth floor of the main castle.

Scott pushed open the classroom door, and sure enough, Professor Flitwick was already standing on the pile of books next to the podium.

Professor Flitwick always made it a habit to arrive at the classroom early to see each student arrive.

Good morning, Professor Flitwick.

Scott and Roger greeted each other respectfully.

"Good morning, Scott, Roger!" Professor Flitwick greeted him warmly. He had some goblin blood, which made him short and his voice high-pitched.

"professor……"

Roger stepped forward first and explained his request to Professor Flitwick.

After listening to Roger's words, Professor Flitwick did not object. He smiled and said, "That's normal, Roger. I think it's a sign of wisdom for students to allocate their time reasonably and rationally give up on some topics that are destined to yield no results."

"Thank you, Professor!"

Roger was pleased to have gained Professor Flitwick's approval.

"Then your divination class will be cancelled this academic year. I will explain this to Professor Trelawney."

Professor Flitwick nodded and then looked at Scott.

"Do you have something to tell me too, Scott?"

“Of course.” Scott stepped forward with a confident smile. “I couldn’t wait to show you my work, so I came to the classroom early. It’s also an early birthday present for you.”

"A birthday present?"

Professor Flitwick let out an excited scream. Even though his birthday was October 17th, more than a month away, who cared!

“Oh! I love birthday presents! What are you waiting for, Mr. Trollope?” He couldn’t help but show a very expectant expression.

"I'll show you right now!"

Scott reached into the deformed lizard skin pouch at his waist and pulled out an oil painting that was almost as tall as him.

Professor Flitwick smiled. He could tell that Scott's shapeshifting lizard pocket was just a disguise; it was clearly enchanted with a Seamless Stretch Charm to hold such a large object, but he didn't expose him.

He simply gazed expectantly at the oil painting covered by a white cloth before him.

"Could it be... Mr. Trollope, that you've taught yourself magic painting?" Professor Flitwick rubbed his hands together.

"It's not a magic painting."

Scott reached out and grabbed the white cloth.

"Although I only used Muggle painting techniques, I think this painting showcases my work better than magic paintings."

After saying that, he ripped the white cloth off.

"Oh!!!"

Upon seeing the oil painting suddenly displayed in front of him, Professor Flitwick's eyes widened instantly, and he let out a high-pitched scream, falling off the pile of books.

Roger rushed to help him up, but Professor Flitwick didn't care. He scrambled to his feet and walked quickly to the painting, gazing at it with rapt attention.

"Oh...it's true...it's incredible..."

He kept exclaiming in amazement.

Scott, seeing Professor Flitwick's reaction, couldn't help but smile smugly. "Professor, are you satisfied with this birthday present?"

"Satisfied, extremely satisfied!"

Professor Flitwick nodded repeatedly, his face beaming with joy.

Chapter 009 Muggle Oil Painting, Amazing Event

"This is?"

Roger also saw Scott's painting, but he was now very puzzled.

Scott presented Professor Flitwick with a very abstract painting. The painting did not depict anything specific; instead, various colors were splashed across the canvas in large areas, seemingly blending together yet also somewhat opposing each other.

Seeing Roger's bewildered expression, Scott deliberately asked him, "What do you think of my painting, Roger?"

Roger clearly couldn't see what was so praiseworthy about the painting, but Professor Flitwick seemed to like it very much, so he could only force a compliment, "Hmm... a very beautiful painting, Scott."

Scott laughed several times as he listened to Roger's dry praise.

“Oh, Roger, your understanding of magic hasn’t reached that level, so you don’t understand how amazing Scott has accomplished.” Professor Flitwick was still very excited. “Yes, it’s amazing.”

At this moment, students began to enter the classroom one after another, all chatting and laughing about Ron Weasley receiving a roaring letter, and then curiously gathered around them.

This class was for both Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff students, so Scott also saw Roger's Hufflepuff ex-girlfriend, Miss Mill.

But Scott knew Roger didn't care about that at all; he was already confused by Professor Flitwick's words.

The painting clearly contained no magic, yet Professor Flitwick praised Scott for achieving amazing feats in magic, a situation beyond Roger's comprehension.

The other students were clearly wondering why they were here to admire a worthless Muggle painting.

Just then, Milton arrived and, with great interest, leaned over to ask, "Scott, is this your new work?"

Milton, this artistic boy, didn't just like music; in fact, he had a keen eye for all art and beauty.

So even though his personality is often unbearable, Scott, who has studied painting since childhood in this life, will often communicate with him.

He found this very useful because all art forms share commonalities.

At that moment, Milton immediately identified the artist of the painting, causing the students watching to turn their attention to Scott—mostly with suspicion, but also with a few disdainful glances.

But to their surprise, Milton exclaimed in exaggerated amazement the moment he saw the painting, "This is truly beautiful! You've used such beautiful combinations of colors; they flow, as if they have real life!"

He stared intently at the painting. "Oh... calm, wise, passionate, courageous... if you're depicting a person, it must be someone with fine qualities."

Milton was both captivated and bewildered. "I feel a sense of familiarity with this painting, but... I can't clearly see what you've depicted... But congratulations, Scott, I think your artistic level has improved a lot!"

Scott smiled. Indeed, Milton's perception of art was very keen.

"..."

However, the other students in the classroom, along with Roger, entered a state of existential doubt.

Only Scott noticed that Professor Frivi's face was slightly flushed.

"Cough cough."

Professor Flitwick coughed, clenched his fist, and waved his wand. The painting that Scott was holding flew up and stuck to the wall behind the podium.

"Everyone, go and sit down!" he directed the students to disperse.

Once the students were seated, Professor Flitwick stood on the pile of books next to the podium.

"This is a birthday gift that Mr. Trollope specially gave me!"

He proudly pointed his wand at the painting on the wall.

The students began to whisper among themselves, not understanding what Professor Flitwick was trying to say.

Scott even heard people saying that he was just trying to attract attention and that he was trying to fool Professor Flitwick with worthless Muggle paintings.

Professor Flitwick's gaze swept around the classroom.

“I’m adding fifty points to Ravenclaw!” he exclaimed, “because of Mr. Trollope’s amazing magical abilities!”

As soon as he finished speaking, the classroom fell silent for a moment, then became even noisier again.
