The Wind and the Wings of Hogwarts

"Humph!"
Malfoy paced angrily.
"You simply don't understand!"
"Our situation is absolutely terrible now!"
"A few of us have been expelled from Hogwarts!"
"Our parents are no longer the people the Dark Lord trusts the most!"
"We must accomplish something successful on our own to impress the Dark Lord with our abilities!"
"Draco."
Parkinson went to Malfoy's side to comfort him.
"Don't worry, I'll always be with you."
Seeing that Malfoy ignored her, she continued, "It's not that bad. Professor Snape still admires you and is willing to teach you. Oh, and there's Lady Lestrange, the Dark Lord's most trusted aunt."
"Don't even mention it, Pansy! You should know that Aunt Bella is a complete lunatic!"
Malfoy stared intently at Parkinson.
"Remember, don't let her find out what we're doing!"
“I understand, Draco,” Parkinson replied ingratiatingly.
Chapter 523 Give Them a Surprise
"Alright, let's go. We'll come back tomorrow."
Malfoy seemed unwilling to say any more and left with his three henchmen using Apparition.
"They actually learned Apparition!"
Eddie gasped, clearly envious.
Roger laughed and said, "Oh, if you also drop out of school, you can secretly learn and use Apparition, as long as you don't get caught by the Ministry of Magic."
Eddie ignored him and stared at the vanishing cabinet on the monitor screen.
"They didn't take the vanishing cabinet, probably because no one would go into this old house."
Roger: "It's an old Muggle house. Wizards obviously wouldn't go there. They can just cast a Muggle banishing charm to ensure no one breaks in."
Eddie, "But we know that now."
Scott said, "Even if we knew, we wouldn't do anything. Professor Moody is waiting to use the Vanishing Cabinet to locate the Death Eaters' stronghold."
Milton asked him, "Should we tell the professor about this new discovery?"
“Of course.” Scott picked up the Magic Mirror. “I just need to send this surveillance footage to Dumbledore.”
He spoke as he operated the controls, and quickly sent the video over.
“I can guess Professor Moody and his team’s plan.”
Eddie began to deliver his eloquent speech.
"They will help repair the vanishing cabinet at Hogwarts."
"After Malfoy and his team verify it, they will take another Vanishing Cabinet to the Death Eaters' stronghold."
"At that time, we can either take the Vanishing Cabinet away from Hogwarts and ambush it, or we can use the Vanishing Cabinet to kill our way there."
What do you think?
Roger commented, "Both of the methods you mentioned are difficult. You have to understand that the Vanishing Cabinet isn't very big; it can only let one person through at a time."
"That's true," Eddie reflected. "I wonder what they'll do?"
Milton suddenly shouted, "Never mind what they do, all I know is that if we don't leave the dorm, we'll be late for class!"
"Oh……"
The four of them quickly washed up, changed their clothes, and rushed to the classroom.
During the break, Scott sent another message to Dumbledore, suggesting that he could try using "Yuktra Hill" to widen the spatial passage connecting the two Vanishing Cabinets.
He knew that Dumbledore would most likely take the second option Eddie suggested, and attack Voldemort's Death Eaters and the Dark Legion before they were ready.
If the passageway can be widened, there will be no need to worry about those who get there first facing an attack from Death Eaters.
Dumbledore quickly replied, saying that Scott would have a chance then.
At noon, Fred and George finally caught up with Scott and saw the surveillance footage from last night.
"It really is that Malfoy kid."
Fred looked completely unsurprised.
"Oh, poor Malfoy, it seems his family isn't doing too well in the Dark Lord's party either."
George feigned sympathy.
The two then began to sing in unison.
“Look, he’s trying to win the Dark Lord’s favor.”
"You're so young, you've really worked hard."
"It's all because old Malfoy is so useless."
"Oh, look at Parkinson and Malfoy, what a touching love story!"
Scott said, "Because of the lack of intelligence, we don't know what happened. It now appears that the Malfoy family, and several families close to them, have been marginalized within the Death Eaters' ranks."
Fred stroked his chin. "But we can't rule out the possibility that it was a deliberate maneuver by old Malfoy."
“Possibly!” George nodded. “Dad said the Malfoy family has always been cunning, and their greatest skill is changing their stance according to the wind.”
Scott was somewhat surprised. "You mean Malfoy doesn't have a positive outlook on the Death Eaters' future, so he deliberately marginalized himself?"
Fred said, "It's also possible that it's just ambiguity, leaving himself an out."
George: "After Voldemort's first defeat, old Malfoy escaped by relying on his cunning."
Scott thought about it and realized that it was indeed possible.
Voldemort was not a normal person.
If it weren't for the pursuit of greater profits, those pure-blood families wouldn't have chosen to follow such a leader.
Voldemort has become even more insane, and most of the Death Eaters are forced to submit to him out of fear of his power.
Only true madmen like Bellatrix Lestrange and Barty Crouch Jr. could share his interests.
Given this context, it's not impossible that the ever-cunning Malfoy would choose to hold back a trump card.
Thinking of this, he smiled and said, "If your guess is true, wouldn't little Malfoy have let his father down?"
Fred feigned maturity, saying, "A child who hasn't grown up always wants to do something big to prove he's unique."
George nodded: "Young Malfoy is obviously spoiled and has not learned properly from his father. He has always been too naive and his understanding is too simple."
Fred commented, "While there's some cleverness involved, it's not true cunning at all."
Scott also felt that "this can be seen from his past behavior of constantly provoking Harry."
Fred brought up Snape again.
"However, compared to Malfoy and the others, the old bat was clearly more favored by Voldemort."
George looked disgusted. "That's what he's always expected, hasn't it?"
“Yes,” Fred agreed, “Death Eaters would suit him perfectly.”
Scott knew Snape was a double agent, but he didn't say anything.
After all, the fewer people who know such a secret, the better.
It was during Potions class that he sensed the awakening of the Dark Mark on Snape's hand, and Dumbledore gave him a hint.
Scott had neither a liking nor a dislike for Snape himself.
Whether in his past life or this life, he has never experienced any unforgettable love, nor can he understand such a complex and devoted person.
A peaceful day passed.
That evening, nearing curfew, Scott was summoned to Dumbledore's office.
When he arrived, he found the place to be quite lively.
Besides Dumbledore himself, Scott also saw Professor Moody, Kingsley Shackles, Sirius Black, and Mr. Weasley.
They were all acquaintances, and Scott greeted them politely.
Sirius Black and Mr. Weasley both smiled warmly at him.
Sirius patted him on the shoulder, "Scott, I heard you were a big help this time."
Scott laughed and said, "It was just a coincidence."
Dumbledore said, "You have indeed been a great help, Scott. I have explained the situation to them."
Then, he asked Scott to show him the current live monitoring footage.
Scott nodded and took out the [Magic Mirror].
Dumbledore waved his hand, moving the decorations on one side of the wall aside, and Scott then projected the surveillance footage onto the wall.
The surveillance footage was divided into two parts: one side showed the Slytherin dormitory, and the other side showed the old Muggle house.
Under everyone's watchful eyes, not long after, the owl flew back into the dormitory, used the bead containing the restoration spell on the vanishing cabinet, and then left.
After the owl left, Professor Moody stood up.
"Let me lend them a hand now."
A house-elf suddenly appeared and then dragged him away.
The next second, Professor Moody appeared on the surveillance screen.
He pulled out the wand hidden in his cane and waved it at the Vanishing Cabinet.
