"A Ravenclaw Transfiguration genius?" Snape chuckled sarcastically. "Come up here and let everyone see if you truly deserve the title."
Scott could sense Snape's malice towards him.
He knew that what happened last time wouldn't be so easily forgotten—Snape clearly knew the inside story of the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets incident.
Although Scott's malicious "message" on the wall was aimed at Voldemort, it would also make the Slytherins uncomfortable, and their headmaster would certainly resent him.
“Come up,” Snape urged. “Or is our genius just a name without substance?”
“Go, Scott.”
"Let them see for themselves."
The Ravenclaws around Scott also began to encourage him.
Scott looked at his partner, Ethan.
Ethan, however, seemed somewhat hesitant.
“No, Mr. Cooper is not suitable,” Snape said immediately. “I will choose a suitable opponent for the genius Trolop.”
Scott sighed helplessly, knowing he couldn't escape.
"How about you choose me, Professor!"
"Or choose me!"
Just then, Fred and George volunteered to raise their hands.
But Snape ignored them.
"Strilner".
He pointed to someone in Slytherin and made a gesture.
"Come up."
"Yes, Professor."
The other party immediately stepped forward.
Scott narrowed his eyes.
Idris Stryner, seventh grade.
Scott's impression of him included his attempt to destroy the "message" on the wall and his public questioning of Dumbledore at the dinner party following the "Chamber of Secrets" incident.
Also, Eddie said he has a very bad temper in private.
Stryner strode onto the stage, looking at Scott with a cold smile.
"Troop? A genius?"
His tone was extremely disdainful.

Chapter 085 Fierce Battle! Duel Club
On stage, Stryner stared at Scott in the crowd and said with a sneer, "Come on up, genius."
He raised his chin and smiled arrogantly.
"Of course, if you feel you are not worthy of the title of genius, you can choose to refuse."
Upon hearing this, the Slytherins present burst into laughter.
Scott smiled as he sat down on stage.
He strode toward the stage.
He has always been cautious, but that does not equate to weakness or a willingness to back down when faced with direct provocation.
The title of "genius" wasn't something he proclaimed himself; it represented the recognition he received from others.
He may not care about that title, but that doesn't mean he has to bow down here to Stirrner's mockery.
"That's not fair, Professor!"
As Scott walked, he heard Roger protesting loudly behind him.
“Strilner is in seventh grade; he’s three years older than Scott!”
Scott kept moving.
He understood what Roger meant.
Roger wasn't trying to stop the duel; he just didn't think Scott could beat a seventh-grader, and he said that to give Scott a reason to lose.
"Yes! It's unfair!"
"Let me duel with Stirrner!"
Many students began to voice their support for Roger.
Even a seventh-year Gryffindor student volunteered to replace Scott in the competition.
"Quiet!"
Snape remained unmoved, coldly scanning the crowd and forcing them to quiet down with his gaze.
At this point, Lockhart also said to Snape, "They are right. I think we can choose two young wizards of the same age to have this duel."
“No need to worry, Professor Lockhart. Strilner is an opponent I specifically chose for Trollope.”
Snape watched Scott walk onto the stage, a fake smile playing on his lips.
"How can Trollope be worthy of the title of genius if he can't significantly surpass his peers?"
Upon taking the stage, Scott smiled at Snape and said, "Thank you for your consideration, Professor. I will do my best."
Snape responded with a forced smile, "I hope you live up to the praise the other professors have given you."
"I will."
Scott nodded and said nothing more.
He turned his gaze to Strilna, who was standing opposite him.
"Are you feeling smug?"
Stryner moved closer.
Taking advantage of his height and age, he looked down at Scott.
"Someone like you should be grateful to Merlin for being lucky enough to come into contact with magic."
He spoke with only slight movement of his lips and in a very soft voice.
"Genius? The reputation of the magical world is not something someone of your background should strive for."
Scott didn't look at Stryner; instead, he lowered his head and straightened his sleeves.
He didn't want to leave an impression on others that he was looking up to the other person.
"Are you finished?"
He asked in a calm tone.
Then, ignoring Strilner's reaction, he turned to Snape and said, "May we begin, Professor?"
“Get ready,” Snape said.
Scott turned around immediately and distanced himself from Stryner.
"very good."
He heard Stryner say something through gritted teeth.
Scott walked to the side of the stage and then turned around again, where Stryner was already in position.
"Bow," Snape commanded again.
But Scott and Stryner only swayed their bodies perfunctorily, without even bending their backs.
Then, both of them raised their wands.
Scott heard cheers coming from below the stage.
Judging from the voices, he has far more supporters than Stryner.
"Go, Scott!"
"Kill him!"
Fred and George shouted especially loudly.
At this point, Snape began counting, "One, two, three."
"Except your weapons!"
Stryner displayed extreme aggression from the very beginning.
As soon as Snape counted to three, a beam of red light shot out from the tip of Stirrner's wand.
The red light instantly traversed the distance on the stage, grazed Lockhart's nose as he took a step back, and pierced the air beside Scott.
Of course, this wasn't because Strilner's spell missed its mark. Rather, Scott dodged the disarming curse first.
This is another benefit of having a strong sense of magic.
The instant the opponent completes their spell, Scott can sense and simulate its trajectory, allowing him to easily evade it.
As the disarming spell passed through the air, Scott's wand shone with a long-awaited glow.
Strilna's expression changed.
"Armor protects you!"
He cast an armor spell in front of himself with incredible speed.
Scott flicked his wand cleanly, but the spell unexpectedly didn't fly towards Stryner.
The beam of light pierced through the stage and struck a high-backed chair in the teachers' section on the other side.
The chair instantly transformed into a giant eagle and took flight.
