Scott said.

"In the modern and contemporary history of the English wizarding world, Gryffindors and Slytherins have always occupied the center stage. In their eyes, Ravenclaws are bookworms, and Hufflepuffs are good-for-nothings..."

“We’re just keeping a low profile,” Professor Flitwick emphasized. “We’ve made significant contributions to the wizarding world!”

"Of course, but only we know these things."

Scott reveals his ambition to Professor Flitwick.

"We should make everyone truly understand the power of Ravenclaw."

……

Chapter 108 Purposeful Actions

"Ravenclaw-style power?"

Professor Flitwick looked at Scott with curiosity, trying to figure out exactly what he meant.

Scott, however, said: "Ravenclaws generally only focus on what interests them and are always habitually indifferent to other things."

Professor Flitwick nodded. Ravenclaw did indeed produce many nerds and madmen in the eyes of others.

"But only we ourselves understand what we are pursuing."

Scott added.

"Our college name means 'raven's claw,' and we are incredibly greedy for knowledge, but often disdainful of power and fame."

He paused here, then added, "Except for a few people like Professor Lockhart."

Professor Flitwick nodded at first, but his expression turned somewhat unpleasant when he heard Lockhart's name.

He remarked, "Lockhart... that might be the strangest Ravenclaw I've ever seen..."

Scott shrugged. "Come to think of it, he's just focused on what interests him..."

He made a joke and continued, "Our representative element is wind. Among the four elements, wind represents change, rationality, abstraction, wit, sociability, and language. It also represents conflict, lack of emotion, lack of foundation, and restlessness."

“It seems you are quite knowledgeable about this,” Professor Frivi said with a smile.

Scott said dreamily, "Ravenclaw-style power, that's the ideal state I imagine."

Professor Flitwick looked at him encouragingly.

Scott coughed lightly. "Ravenclaws are like eagles, perched in the sky and atop towers. They may not participate in the struggles on the ground, but their keen eyesight allows them to see everything clearly from above."

He added, "I don't participate simply because I don't want to. I want to be the freest wizard, where no one can control my stance and actions."

“Freedom?” Professor Flitwick said softly. “Indeed, the Ravenclaws cherish freedom, and we will respect each other’s individuality and pursuits… but the freest wizard?”

He laughed. "Indeed, it's an ideal state."

Scott laughed and said, "Gryffindor has a wizard like Headmaster Dumbledore who is called the 'greatest,' and even Slytherin has a Dark Lord who has influenced countless people. Ravenclaw can certainly produce a wizard who is the freest."

“Oh, Scott.”

Professor Flitwick couldn't help but remind Scott.

"Dumbledore is known as the greatest wizard of the century, not just because he was a powerful wizard."

He spoke earnestly.

"More importantly, it is because of his enormous contribution to peace in England and throughout the European magical community, and even his profound influence internationally."

“I understand, Professor.”

Scott nodded.

“Although I’m not interested in things like maintaining world peace,” he said bluntly, “I’ve always felt that the only difference between wizards and Muggles is magic, and the progress of magic is the progress of wizards.”

"It seems your ambitions are even greater than I thought."

Hearing Scott's seemingly arrogant words, Professor Flitwick did not immediately refute him.

He simply looked at Scott with a curious gaze and said with a sigh, "But who hasn't thought that way when they were young?"

He smiled again and said, "I thought about this when I was young, after I decided to specialize in the magical art of spells."

Scott listened silently as he reminisced about the past.

“I have put in a lot of effort to summarize and modify the existing knowledge of spells. I want to go a step further on the basis of my predecessors and invent something new to shock everyone.”

Professor Flitwick gestured wildly as he spoke.

“I have achieved some results, although I have not met my expectations, but I have always enjoyed it. Of course, I am still working hard now.”

“You are already one of the most accomplished spellcasters,” Scott praised him sincerely.

"But what I once wanted to do was not one of them, but the only one. That's the gap between dreams and reality."

Professor Flitwick looked at Scott intently.

"It's certainly a good thing for young people to have lofty ideals, and I'm happy to see my students have dreams that surpass those of their predecessors, but I just want to remind you..."

He became increasingly earnest.

"You need to be mentally prepared to face that kind of gap, don't lose yourself in your dreams, and don't let anything easily affect your mind."

Scott understood Professor Flitwick's good intentions, and he was somewhat moved, nodding solemnly.

"Professor, may I use magic here?"

He took out his wand and asked Professor Flitwick for it.

“Oh, of course.” Professor Flitwick looked at him curiously. “What new findings do you have to show me?”

He took out his wand and waved it lightly, casting a silent spell.

“Alright, that’s it.” He gestured for Scott to begin his demonstration. “With me here, you can certainly use magic.”

No one else in the café noticed the strange behavior of the old man and the young man in that corner.

"I consider this a very valuable achievement."

Scott said confidently.

He took a piece of ebony from his bag and tapped it with his wand.

The ebony wood quickly deformed, transforming into a small fairy statue.

Then, Scott used the tip of his wand to carve an ancient rune on the fairy statue.

That's Sowilo, representing the sun or light.

Professor Flitwick watched Scott's actions with curiosity, without interrupting him.

"Next..."

Scott waved his wand again.

...The moment to witness a miracle, he murmured to himself.

The once still statue came to life, transforming into a real little fairy who flapped her transparent, shimmering wings and took flight.

"Oh!"

Professor Flitwick's eyes widened.

"This is truly...unbelievable..."

He looked at Scott with excitement.

“Never…never a wizard has ever done this…” His voice was shrill and slightly stuttering, “You combined ancient runes with transfiguration and created real magical creatures!”

Scott nodded. "I think this has great potential, although I can only do this simple level right now, but..."

He said excitedly, "As my mastery of Transfiguration and ancient runes grows stronger, and even goes further, if I add various spells to them, will I be able to create even more powerful magical creatures?"

He shared his ideas.

"Theoretically speaking, even magical creatures like dragons and phoenixes could be born from the tip of my wand! Even... powerful mythical beings that don't exist in reality could..."

“This is insane…” Professor Flitwick murmured.

He shook his head.

"No, don't think about that now, Scott."

He stared at the fairy-like creature fluttering on the table with a kind of fascination.

"Although I have high hopes for your future, you should take things one step at a time and not rush things."

"Of course, your suggestion is correct."

Scott said obediently.

He has achieved his goal.

His presentation was, of course, intended to further prove his worth in front of Professor Flitwick.

A Muggle-born wizard like him has no family to help him grow in magic, nor is there anyone to protect him at all times.

To obtain these "resources," he had to find another way—

First, he would try to get closer to Professor Flitwick, the head of Ravenclaw, by discussing various aspects of the house, and then further prove his own worth.

These were all actions he took in order to receive the professor's dedicated guidance.

Of course, Scott also understood that Professor Flitwick, being an equally intelligent person, could see through his "scheme."

After all, Professor Flitwick was just kind-hearted, not naive.

But this is not important.

Scott knew that Professor Flitwick wouldn't care about this; in the eyes of a Ravenclaw, it was nothing to fight for one's own opportunities.

Chapter 109 School Starts, Bruce's Reminder

Before noon, Scott said goodbye to Professor Flitwick and went to King's Cross Station in London again to board the Hogwarts Express.

The train started moving, and he walked alone inside the carriage.
