Ignoring the suspicious glances and whispers, he quickly used his senses to find the carriage where his roommates were.
"Hello everyone."
He pushed open the door to the cubicle, went in, and sat down.
“Scott!” Eddie waved excitedly at him. “You’re a little late. We were just discussing you and Milton being in the newspaper together!”
"Sorry, Scott."
Milton still looked rather listless, and he looked at Scott with an apologetic gaze.
I'm sorry for causing you trouble because of my situation.
Scott waved his hand. "That's none of your business, Milton."
“But now everyone knows you live in Hastings!” Roger asked with concern. “Is that alright?”
He clearly also vividly remembered Jacob's ordeal.
“It’s nothing,” Scott replied calmly. “I’ve already had my parents move out…”
He briefly mentioned that he had sought help from Professor Flitwick, but did not reveal where his parents had moved to.
He apologized to his three roommates for this.
But the other three understood his caution, after all they knew that even secrets hidden in one's mind are not absolutely safe.
"That Miss Travers..."
Eddie lowered his voice.
"The newspapers are saying she left the hospital without permission to go find you... What really happened?"
“I’m sorry, Scott, I didn’t know that day…” Milton began apologizing again.
Scott offered Milton a few words of comfort, then replied to Eddie, "She probably wants to deal with me the way she dealt with Jacob, but unfortunately, she seems to have come to the wrong place."
“She’s crazy, I still can’t believe she’s only 11 years old,” Roger exclaimed. “Fortunately…”
He sighed, unable to utter words like "thank goodness I'm dead."
Scott shook his head, indicating that he didn't want to discuss the topic anymore.
Roger and Eddie readily changed the subject.
The journey back to school passed by as the group chatted and laughed. After getting off the train, they returned to the castle in a dilapidated horse-drawn carriage.
Scott finally saw the Thestral pulling the cart, but he didn't make a sound and continued to pretend he hadn't seen it.
When Scott entered the auditorium, he once again attracted a lot of attention, noticing many students whispering among themselves.
"Scott!"
The Weasley twins appeared out of nowhere and pulled him into a corner.
"Are you alright, buddy?"
Fred patted Scott on the shoulder.
“I hope you haven’t been affected,” George said. “Everyone knows that Rita Skeeter is a woman who loves to spread rumors in the newspapers.”
"I am fine."
Scott smiled calmly and said deliberately, "But you two... your Christmas presents to me were far too insincere!"
“That’s heartbreaking, Scott!” Fred feigned annoyance. “That was the only lifetime VIP card we ever gave out, not even to our family!”
George retorted, dissatisfied, "That's much more sincere than your two immobile portraits!"
Scott gave a helpless look. "Well, hopefully that non-existent Weasley's Joke Shop will become a reality soon."
Fred and George immediately straightened their sweater collars as if there were an invisible bow tie there.
Thank you for your blessing.
"Of course we will succeed!"
"You'll see then..."
"...What a precious gift you have received!"
Scott chatted and laughed with them for a while before returning to the long table in Ravenclaw.
Then he heard Malfoy's long talk at the Slytherin table next door.
"We certainly can't trust house-elves! They're all monsters that can't control themselves!"
He shouted to his companion.
“My dad always told me they were untrustworthy! They were just servants, only good for simple chores! Only a fool would believe in their magic…”
Scott looked up and saw a terrified gaze.
It's Morgan Avery, the first-year girl who used to "follow" Travers; it seems she has recovered and been discharged from the hospital.
The girl turned pale the moment she met Scott's gaze and quickly lowered her head.
Scott's calm gaze swept past her and landed on another person staring at him.
Idris Stryner.
He gave Scott a sneer, looking at him as if he were a clown.
Scott stared at him calmly.
"The famous Trollope?"
Stryner stood up and walked to the Ravenclaw table, looking down at Scott.
"How does it feel to be in the newspaper, Trollope?"
“Not very good,” Scott said.
Stryner glanced at Milton, who was sitting next to Scott, and teased, "This is your real 'girlfriend'? What? You two are so in love that you can't even be apart during the short Christmas break?"
Upon hearing this, the Slytherins burst into laughter.
The professors were not in the auditorium at the moment, and the standoff drew the attention of all the students.
"Hey!"
Two seventh-grade boys from Ravenclaw stood up.
It's Bruce and William.
“Get out of the way, Stirrner,” Bruce said coldly.
"It's none of your business."
Stryner gave them both a disdainful look, then said to Scott, "What's wrong, Trollope? Aren't you going to say something? Your 'girlfriend' is about to cry."
Scott glanced at Milton and saw that he was already red with anger.
Roger and Eddie also looked angry, and Scott gave them a wink to stop them from standing up.
“Mr. Stryner”
Scott looked up at Stryner.
"Do you aspire to become a 'successful' journalist like Rita Skeeter after graduation? Or is Miss Skeeter your idol?"
This time, the Ravenclaw students burst into laughter.
Not only that, even the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff students couldn't help but laugh, especially the Gryffindors, who laughed particularly loudly.
Stryner's expression contorted for a moment, but he quickly returned to normal.
“I just wanted to remind you, Trollope,” he said in a low voice, “that Jasmine Travers’s father is still in Azkaban, and you should pray he doesn’t escape to seek revenge on you.”
"Thank you for your concern, Strilna."
Scott continued to look at him calmly.
“But Miss Travers’ death had nothing to do with me.”
Stryner laughed and said, "Who knows? But she got into trouble because she was looking for you, whatever the reason."
“I see, but I think I can trust the Ministry of Magic’s oversight of Azkaban,” Scott said reluctantly.
"Let's wait and see."
Stryner gave another fake smile, shoved Bruce and William aside, and turned to leave.
"Are you alright, Scott?"
William sat down opposite Scott.
"I'm fine, thank you."
Scott smiled at him and Bruce.
"Be careful, Scott."
Bruce leaned over to remind him.
"Strilner may be provoking you, but you should be careful about what he says."
"How so?" Roger asked him.
Bruce shook his head. "All I can say is, don't think that the Travers family is gone. Pure-blood families are not as simple as they seem."

Chapter 110 Professor Flitwick's Help
In the blink of an eye, a week of the new semester has already passed.
After the Charms class that day, Scott was asked to stay behind by Professor Flitwick.
"professor."
Scott walked to the side of the podium.
"Scott, go to my office first."
Professor Flitwick jumped down from the pile of books beside the podium and led Scott to his office.
