'Don't be angry, don't be angry, he's just an ignorant fool.' Jack muttered to himself before speaking, 'We were both wrong about what happened earlier, so why don't we back down...'
"Huh? What do you mean, 'retreat'?" The young man frowned.
"You Federation people are all just good at playing the peacemaker, a bunch of spineless cowards who only know how to hide in the back. Hmph, you're even worse than the fools of the Prudton Union."
This sweeping generalization was really powerful; even Jack's expression changed.
"Are you deliberately trying to pick a fight?" Jack glanced at him sideways. Although the other man had a height advantage, he had at least been to military school and wasn't afraid of a fight at all.
"Sigh, it's my fault, it's all my fault. Please, guests, stop arguing." The owner said with a bitter face, making futile attempts to persuade him.
"It's so hot!"
The adults kept talking, and the atmosphere became increasingly tense, but the little girl was completely oblivious to the atmosphere; she only felt that it was too hot.
Except for occasionally coming out for some fresh air, Bubble stayed cooped up in the off-road vehicle the whole way.
She casually removed her baseball cap, revealing a head of bright blonde hair hidden inside.
The young man looked astonished, and the anger on his face vanished without a trace.
"I never expected to meet such a lovely lady as you in Carmen Town. How rude of me."
The arrogance in the eyes of the young people has disappeared, replaced by a sense of closeness.
He politely performed the greeting common among the nobility of Saine, "Hello, I'm Andy, Andy..."
The young man hesitated when asked about his surname.
If it were in Saine, he would proudly state his surname and then get to know this lovely lady.
But this is Carmen Town. Andy didn't come here for sightseeing; he has an important mission.
He didn't want to attract attention because of his ancient and prestigious surname before achieving his goal.
Especially that boss, he's clearly a gossip. If he starts spreading his secrets everywhere, he'll be in big trouble.
But is this really a good idea?
If two nobles meet and one of them does not state his or her surname, it is considered a serious insult!
The strict upbringing Andy received from a young age did not allow him to behave so rudely; however, what he was about to do was too important to tolerate even the slightest mistake.
If Jack knew Andy's true feelings, he would probably laugh out loud three times and then call him an idiot.
Having come from an intelligence background, using aliases and lying was commonplace for him; there was no need to be so conflicted.
Andy hesitated for a moment, then suddenly relaxed.
Not giving your surname violates your own principles, but giving your surname would only create more trouble. It's simple... just make that unnecessary boss disappear.
As for the two federalists, they can be treated leniently since they were with that young lady.
After much deliberation, Andy actually came up with this astonishing 'solution'.
But he didn't feel there was anything wrong with it, as if coming to this conclusion was a natural thing.
"Hello, my name is Bubble!"
Bubble is a polite child; she always tells others her name when they greet her.
"Miss Bubble..."
Andy was deeply moved; what a considerate person!
Seeing my hesitation, she offered her name. What's even better is that this young lady concealed her surname, so I didn't have to worry about it.
The innkeeper, completely unaware that he had just narrowly escaped death, was still trying to smooth things over: "Everyone should come to Carmen Town to have a good time, don't start off in a bad mood."
"I'm so sorry, guest. To express my apologies, I'll give you a 20% discount on your stay this time." The owner looked pained but gritted his teeth and offered the discount.
To everyone's surprise, Andy just smiled at Bubble, turned around and left, ignoring everyone else.
"This guy's got a problem," Masumi said irritably.
"The boss is right. We're here on vacation, so let's not ruin our mood."
"Hmm, this room looks quite spacious; one room should be enough," Jack said casually.
Masumi rolled her eyes at him. "Two rooms!"

"Sardine pudding, a specialty of Carmen Town!"
"For only 998, take home the greatsword once used by the Marquis of Carmen!"
"Take a look, look at this! Fresh fruit, or your money back!"
"There's an open-air performance called 'The Marquis of Carmen and His Third Lover' at 2 PM. Tourists shouldn't miss it!"
"..."
Masumi strolled through the market hand in hand with Bubbles. The surrounding environment was noisy, but her mood improved considerably.
Yesterday, that guy named Andy really angered her. This morning, Jack disappeared without a trace, wandering off somewhere again.
She almost doubted that coming to Carmen Town was a complete mistake, but fortunately, the lively scene changed Masumi's opinion of the place.
"It really is a tourist destination."
Masumi was surprised to find that there were many tourists visiting, and even some families.
"Carmen is a great place. You should stay for a few more days, young lady. You won't be disappointed."
An old lady approached Masumi and said with a smile.
"Ah, thank you."
"What an adorable daughter! Did she just arrive today?"
"Um, Bubble is my sister."
"Little sister, oh," the old lady drawled, then said warmly, "You haven't booked a room yet, have you? Come, come with me, I'll recommend a reasonably priced place!"
"We already have..."
"Oh," the enthusiastic old lady suddenly became indifferent, and she turned around to look for a new customer.
Masumi was taken aback, but then smiled and let it go.
While Masumi and the others were strolling around, Jack ran to a desolate mountain not far from Carmen Town.
To be fair, Jack isn't the kind of man who lacks romantic understanding; he wouldn't abandon his fiancée and wander around aimlessly so early in the morning.
His plan was to check out the suspicious locations identified by the Seven Rings Tower as soon as possible, and if there was nothing else to do, he would spend quality time with Masumi and focus on enjoying the trip.
However, things didn't go as planned.
Jack ran into that annoying guy without any warning.
Chapter 142, Section 143: Full Moon
"what are you doing here?"
“That’s exactly what I wanted to ask.” Andy suddenly gripped the hilt of his sword with his right hand.
"Me? Just browsing around."
Jack noticed his actions, but inwardly sneered.
"What era are we living in? Still using knives? If you really dare to make a move, I'll pull out the real thing and show you."
"Wandering around in the middle of nowhere?" Andy said irritably.
"None of your business"
"..."
"........."
The two stared at each other, and in the end, Jack took a step back.
"You can wander around this godforsaken place by yourself. I'm going back to my fiancée and I'm not going to waste my time with you."
Andy remained silent, staring intently at Jack as he left, ultimately suppressing the murderous intent within him.
Coincidence? Andy never believed in coincidences.
In his view, this federalist must have used special means to secretly follow him!
Thinking deeper, why would a stranger from the Federation follow him? There must be someone behind it all.
The mastermind behind it all... Andy thought of Bubble, but then realized it didn't quite seem like it.
Standing alone on the hillside, the man's heart was filled with turmoil.
"Hurry up, we need to find the entrance quickly, we can't afford any mishaps."
Andy took out a wooden whistle, and soon the sharp whistle, sometimes high and sometimes low, echoed far and wide in the desolate mountains.
He glanced at the dark figure circling in the sky, but instead of leaving like Jack, he began a tense search.
"Marquis Carmen's undead army... Even if there's only a sliver of hope, I'll fight for it!"
Leaving aside Andy, who was busy with the search, Jack's mood was also somewhat heavy on the way back.
"A coincidence, really a coincidence?"
Jack had only intended to fulfill his duty by taking a look at the suspicious location, but he never expected to run into that Sen man!
"I hope nothing bad will happen. I really didn't expect to make any achievements at this time."
He wavered, wondering if he should take Masumi and the others away quickly.
"But, it's just that I ran into a strange guy. There's no need to be so suspicious. It must be my occupational hazard acting up."
Jack had never been involved in the mystical realm before, and things like the Undead Legion were too unrealistic.
"Forget it, instead of overthinking, I'd better hurry back and go shopping with Masumi."
“He ran out first thing in the morning without considering her feelings; she must be angry.”
