A Marine Admiral in the Marvel Universe

Chapter 457 Overwhelming Haki!

Watching the lightning-fast battle in the distance, the Avengers were dumbfounded, especially the Big Three. Although they refused to admit defeat, in reality, they had never won a single battle against Thanos... well, except for that time with the silly Star-Lord.

If it weren't for that idiot, Doctor Strange and Iron Man might have actually won on Titan... Unfortunately, there are no "what ifs" in this world.

"Thor, are you the God of Thor, or is that guy the God of Thor?" Tony Stark said, recalling how that lightning spear attack had almost killed Thanos.

"Don't ask me such pointless questions." Thor's face twitched, feeling that he was being looked down upon.

No!

This can't go on. If I survive this, I have to give up beer... and cola, fried chicken, hamburgers, online games, and WiFi!

I am Thor, the God of Thunder, and I absolutely cannot continue to be so despondent... For the glory of Odin!

Thor clenched his fist in front of his chest, his gaze resolute, but... his arm was stuck in the belly!

"Ahem... You guys think that Thor in that world was electrocuted so badly, was it him?" Steve discovered the blind spot.

"Hmm... let's broaden the scope..." Tony stroked his chin thoughtfully, "Maybe he electrocuted Scott, maybe he's the one who turned me into that person!"

"So that means... the Hydra captain is a fake?"

Steve's eyes lit up immediately. How could someone like me, born for justice and freedom, possibly be Hydra?

“That’s true…” Tony said quietly, “At least so far, he hasn’t shown any ability to transform…”

"Shit!" Steve exclaimed, looking disgusted.

"Stop talking, guys, let's find the gem!" Dr. Banner said, holding an orange gem in his only remaining left hand.

That's the Soul Gem, obtained at the cost of Natasha's life.

Upon hearing this, the three giants paused for a moment, then fell silent and began searching for the fallen gems in the ruins.

……

On the other side, before Thanos, who had found Cao Gui's weakness, could launch his attack, Cao Gui's offensive had already begun.

Cao Gui's figure flickered, the lightning receded, and he transformed back into a half-dragon human form, with purple flames flowing around his body and wrapping around his cyan dragon arm.

Whoosh!

A dragon's shadow loomed, and a piercing hiss suddenly rang out.

Thanos's purple eyes narrowed, and his left fist clenched, glowing with a scarlet light. He drew energy from the Reality Stone once more, gathering it at his fist and slamming it into the void in front of him.

boom!

The golden-armored iron fist collided with the jet-black dragon claw, and at the point of impact, the dazzling blue and crimson gems suddenly lit up.

Red and blue light shot into the sky. At the point where Thanos and Cao Gui collided, the two energies were clearly distinct and remained locked in a stalemate for a moment before suddenly erupting. The violent airflow carried the air, turning it into blades of wind that swept in all directions.

Rumble!

The two suddenly separated and flew backward. The huge energy shockwave from their fists and palms collided ripped up and pushed the surrounding ground.

Thanos stomped his feet repeatedly, bracing himself with his hands to steady himself.

Cao Gui was in the same situation. Thanos's power was not weak, and he only managed to stabilize himself by swinging his dragon tail to dissipate the force.

"Just as I expected!" Thanos's eyes flashed. This kid's use of the gems wasn't that strong, at least not as good as his own!

With a loud shout, Thanos stomped his foot and burst forth, transforming into a purple shadow as he charged toward Cao Gui. Two enormous fists, one purple and one gold, slammed out, followed by a barrage of fist shadows.

The fist wind tore through the void, as large as mountains and as vast as the sea, flying everywhere and instantly enveloping Cao Gui's entire body, forcing Cao Gui to face the attack head-on.

"Good timing!"

Cao Gui immediately grinned maliciously. Kaido's favorite thing was hand-to-hand combat with punches landing squarely.

Why do so many people look forward to Kaido's human-beast form after learning about Kaido's Devil Fruit abilities?

That's because this is Kaido's strongest form!

Kaido's strength lies not only in his Devil Fruit ability, but also in his terrifying Haki!

Purple flames instantly enveloped the two dragon claws, and Cao Gui shouted, unleashing the two dragon claws in an instant.

In an instant, claw shadows flew, purple flames merged into one, and the flowing high-level Armament Haki erupted.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Rumble—!

The sounds of physical combat quickly rose up. Each collision of their fists and palms sent out devastating aftershocks. The sharp, blade-like energy swept across the ground like scythes, leaving behind deep, bottomless cracks.

Cao Guilong's eyes blazed with fighting spirit, his expression growing increasingly excited. His split dragon mouth revealed a madness, and he increased the force of his punches and kicks, speeding up his attacks even further.

What he needed most was a powerful opponent to hone his advanced Armament Haki, and Thanos... regardless of height or build, he seemed like the perfect fit!

Thanos's expression grew increasingly grave. Cao Gui's attacks were not only incredibly fast but also incredibly powerful. Most importantly, the purple flames, whatever they were, were able to rival the energy of the Reality Stone.

Moreover, the opponent's fighting ability was no less than his own, and the power of his punches and kicks was extremely terrifying, so he couldn't concentrate on using the Reality Stone's ability to modify reality.

Thanos knew that his battle rhythm was now being controlled by his opponent.

As a martial arts master, he knew very well that if things continued this way, his downfall was only a matter of time.

Crimson energy flowed through Thanos's body. He roared, his fists glowing red, and began to clash head-on with Cao Gui.

He no longer pursued any techniques, no longer thought about any fighting tricks; now, all he was fighting for was pure strength!

Instantly, the wildly swirling air currents in the arena transformed into a simple, spreading shockwave.

Boom boom boom!

In the blink of an eye, the two exchanged blows hundreds of times with their fists and feet. Each explosion was like a thunderclap, and the raging shockwaves shaved away layer after layer of soil, turning the area where the two were fighting into deep craters!

Cao Gui's fighting spirit grew even more fervent, and the domineering aura in his hand rose like flames. It was as if a substantial high-level domineering aura exploded and overflowed. After being condensed layer by layer, the pitch-black dragon claw was like cast iron, indestructible!

boom!

Another powerful collision occurred, and Thanos took three steps back. Then, red light surged around his body, and he crossed his arms to protect his vital points. At the same time, he pushed off the ground with lightning speed and retreated rapidly.

He realized that Cao Gui was using him to hone his skills. The purple flames became more and more solid and painful with each strike. Although he didn't know what the purple flames were, Cao Gui was becoming more and more adept at using them.

"You think you can just run away after offending the navy?"

Cao Gui immediately snorted coldly. Thanos's every move was within his Observation Haki, let alone such a drastic change in his fighting style.

He instantly understood what this purple sweet potato spirit wanted to do.

"Heh heh heh, it's not that easy!"

Cao Gui immediately let out a sinister laugh, his body surging with blue light as the energy of the Space Stone protected him.

The dragon claw suddenly opened, its purple flames swirling around it, and as the purple light flickered, tiny black arcs of electricity appeared.

Conqueror's Haki envelops you!

Chapter 458 Thor's Restlessness

Thanos sensed Cao Gui's impending attack at the same time, and then crimson energy surged, and shield walls of unknown material appeared in front of Thanos.

In a short period of time, Thanos constructed several near-perfect defenses.

"King Kong - Dysprout!!"

A loud shout erupted like a thunderclap from the ground!

Cao Gui retracted his right claw, stepped forward, twisted his waist, and black lightning crackled around his body.

The originally foggy sky had been blown away by the battle between Cao Gui and Thanos, and it had become clear and blue again. However, for some reason, Cao Gui's attack instantly dimmed the brightness of the world.

The crackling black arcs of electricity exuded a destructive aura, then exploded with a deafening roar in the next instant.

Clang! Clang! Clang—!

Thanos's seemingly indestructible defense crumbled instantly. The translucent beam of light, wreathed in black arcs of electricity, swept through the barriers and reached Thanos in an instant.

Thanos's cold, purple face suddenly darkened, a crimson light flashed, and he gathered endless energy in his right fist, unleashing a lightning-fast punch with immense power.

boom!!!

A mushroom cloud suddenly exploded, black arcs of electricity wrapped around translucent energy, colliding and intertwining with the scarlet light. In the next instant, it exploded with a deafening roar, accompanied by billowing smoke and dust shooting into the sky.

Dust blanketed the sky, and fog churned. The sky, which was clearly ten o'clock in the morning, suddenly became pitch black, and the dark clouds of battle obscured the sun.

On the ground, a bottomless crater suddenly appeared. The original Masi Mountain valley had been disintegrated, and the mountains on both sides had long been destroyed by the aftershocks of the battle, turning the mountain into a basin... no, a deep crater!

"Master/Sir!!"

The Black Order cried out in alarm as Thanos's entire right arm snapped off inch by inch with a crack under the blow.

Thanos flew backwards, spitting blood in mid-air, leaving a purple trail as he crashed into a distant mountain wall, causing another landslide.

However, this is also a good thing. The rocks that rolled down the mountain and fell to the bottom of the valley filled the already scarce pit with some sand and soil.

Cao Gui's expression changed slightly as he realized the extent of the damage caused by the aftermath of his battle with Thanos.

In the deep pit, groundwater kept pouring in, and the damp soil kept falling off the pit walls, splashing up in bursts that echoed throughout the pit.

Cao Gui glanced at Lake Ontario not far away. The collapse of the Massi Mountains was nothing to worry about; it could even create a new freshwater lake plain. In a few years, this place would be a grain-producing area again, rich in resources.

But... the problem lies with Lake Ontario. If the dam breaks and the lake overflows, the northwest of North America will instantly become a swampy inundation zone.

It's important to know that Lake Ontario is the eleventh largest freshwater lake in the world, with an astonishing water volume.

Cao Gui was not the God of War of Huayuankou, and he would not deliberately create such a horrific natural disaster when it was not necessary.

With this thought in mind, a hazy blue light began to bloom from the center of the dragon's claw...

On the other side, Thanos, with a gloomy face, gripped the Infinity Gauntlet. A crimson light flashed, and the mud and rocks on his body turned into blue butterflies that fluttered in the sky. At the same time, his shattered right arm slowly repaired itself under the crimson light.

In just a few breaths, Thanos was a hero again!

However, at that moment, a transparent shard of light, like a prism, spread and swept across, instantly passing through Thanos's body and disappearing into the world beyond the reach of perception.

"What... what's going on?" Proxima Midnight looked around blankly. The world in front of her had changed, but it also seemed the same.

Ebony Maw clasped his hands together, releasing his telekinetic energy. Dust swirled on the ground, forming a spike. The world had changed, but he hadn't.
