Tonight, Alice joins the hunt.

"No need for you to rush me! I'm leaving now!" His voice came from afar, traveling in a straight line. His disheveled figure, which quickly shrank into a tiny dot, looked every bit like a fallen flower fleeing. Then, a materialized directional sound wave struck the black tower, producing a muffled rumble.
Alice withdrew her gaze from the tower, which had been fixed on Zheng Zha. She shook her head slightly, adjusted her work list, and sighed softly—Zheng Zha was becoming increasingly reluctant to use his brain, or rather, he was devoting all his computational resources to energy manipulation and the verification and application of cultivation knowledge. While this made his thought process appear 'smooth' most of the time, it also greatly increased his combat power, propelling him towards higher levels every moment.
Warriors and scholars. A warrior who only knows how to swing an axe but not why isn't a better one than a scholar who knows how to make axes and understands both. After all, wielding an axe is a skill, even if a scholar creates a single-molecule blade axe with a fully automatic counter-attack system. It doesn't mean the scholar won't get smashed in the head by a barbarian warrior wielding a wooden club or stone axe—though this is rare, and most barbarian warriors are easily defeated by scholars using various techniques and methods. But who can guarantee that a scholar equipped with a single-molecule blade axe won't encounter an incredibly strong armored gorilla?
Even more regrettable is that Zheng Mouzha is a brute who, once he abandons thought, can overpower all techniques with sheer force and brutally crush civilization. But Alice hasn't yet upgraded her monomolecular axe into a power axe with a built-in guidance system that can tear apart opposing forces.
"So, I need to make the power axe now. I've never had a clear idea before, and even when I had a goal, I couldn't achieve it. But this time I have the opportunity and inspiration, and I can't let it go to waste."
Alice lowered her eyes, and after a period of self-severance, she created several temporary, mechanical personalities from her current psyche to complete her research project. The most useful skill she learned during Shinki's visit was that the obstacles were minimal, and the aftereffects... weren't really significant mental splits. She could not only freely divide her id, ego, and superego, but also derive countless temporary personalities for various purposes. Now, this skill had come in handy once again after helping her complete her previous plans.
"First, through the analysis of Altair's power and the inspiration drawn from her experiences, I realized that the application of information magic doesn't necessarily have to be limited to actual human history or myths and legends that are widely known but whose authenticity has not been confirmed. Although I had similar thoughts before, I didn't possess the microscopic manipulation power of the fourth level or the container to extract a large amount of information in a short time. But now, I have both, and I also have operational cases that I can use as a reference."
After settling into her temporary personality and confirming that the analysis of Volcano Doom and Sauron's power was proceeding smoothly, she detached her body from the temporary control center within the Black Tower. Then—she placed her hand on her chest.
A thunderous boom erupted from within Alice's body. Limitless energy was drawn from the magic reactor and the energy container of the external black tower, simultaneously coursing through every cell in her body. From hair to toe, from heart to skin, every cell shone with dazzling light, like an electrified light bulb. Her entire body transformed in an instant into a blazing mass of light.
"The first step is to create a container, to create a world within a world that can be indistinguishable from mine. Although the best option is in Chu Xuan's hands and it is not possible to obtain it, the knowledge I obtained from him, and the body I currently possess, are another option with similar potential for development."
The Tower of Babel world in Chu Xuan's possession was clearly the best choice. However, Chu Xuan obviously wouldn't relinquish control of the Tower of Babel world—even if he were willing, Alice wouldn't dare to take it. She wasn't willing to replace something like this, which determined her future path and could almost be seen as the embodiment of the 'foundation of the Dao' concept in Xianxia settings, with someone else's possession. Therefore, she could only use her own fourth-tier body.
Upon unlocking the fourth stage of the genetic lock, each cell develops its own will. The longer a living organism lives, the more complex these wills become. Alice's current body has actually existed in the world for no more than three days. By gathering these wills, guiding them, and employing appropriate methods, it is enough to construct a miniature world embryo!
Her will descended, penetrating the depths of her own body. As immense energy coursed through every cell, the entire structure of her being became clearly visible. In an instant, she grasped all the differences among trillions of individuals with her extraordinary computational power. Any existing flaws or hidden dangers were swiftly identified and decisively eliminated.
The sea of energy was boiling within her, and her will was traversing the sea.
My initial source of power is curses and hatred, and the spell I am most skilled at and most accustomed to using is the red dragon Satan, born from the staff of domination.
"First, there must be darkness."
The boiling sea of energy suddenly dimmed, and the light was pushed outward, forming a massive membrane. At that moment, light and darkness were completely separated; light was on the outside, darkness on the inside. The world thus gained its own independent outer membrane, but the distinction between day and night had not yet been established.
"There must be air between the waters, and the air is below the water, which is held together by the water."
Air was created, and a boiling sea of energy extended along the boundary membrane separating light and darkness. The outer side was the sea, the inner side the atmosphere, and the entire world seemed like a giant bubble confining the atmosphere within. The ocean, however, defied the not-yet-established gravity and adhered to the surface of the boundary membrane.
The inner side is the earth, and the outer side is the sky. At this time, the sky and the earth have not yet been separated, and the forces of light and darkness have not yet reached a balance—isolated yin cannot produce life, isolated yang cannot grow, and darkness without light naturally cannot last for long.
“The waters of the heavens will be divided, revealing a gap, and the gap will be dry land. The divided waters will become seas.”
The sea of energy trembled and split due to her will, revealing enormous gaps within it. These gaps, directly connected to the boundary membrane, allowed the blocked light to flow from beyond the membrane.
Light formed the earth, and the energy lost from light, the tides, became the sea. Light and darkness eroded and compressed each other, causing the earth's color to darken. The ocean, in turn, became docile—the converging light and darkness were pushed out from the stable earth and sea, converging at the center of the world to form a chaotic sphere.
Within the bubble world, a suspended core exists, and light from beyond the boundary membrane gradually closes off as the world stabilizes. Only tiny channels remain, connecting to the ground.
"The convergence of light and darkness constitutes celestial bodies, day and night are mixed together, and light and darkness are governed by the alternating and rotating surfaces of celestial bodies."
Darkness began to writhe on the surface of the chaotic sphere, covering most of it and leaving only a small patch where confined light could pierce through. This light would spread into the foamy inner membrane as the sphere rotated, creating day and night. The Creator had also designed the laws governing the paths of light beneath the earth; only when light from within the sphere shone onto the land would the channels open, allowing light from the outer membrane to enter the inner membrane. Only then would light and darkness achieve balance.
The basic structure of the world has been completed. The next step is to design the Creator's retinue and the living creatures in the world.
Chapter 58 Genesis: Rebellion, Part Two
The hatred and curses I wielded ultimately transformed into the red dragon Satan. However, I cannot construct a world entirely consistent with the concept of Satan. Because in the infinite multiverse, there certainly exists a genuine Satan, and when I arrive in such a world, I would be restricted in using Satanic powers, just as I was in the Final Destination world. Therefore, I must establish a mythological system completely different from the original canon and many other external texts.
Alice's gaze descended silently from the void, fixed on the vast, boundless black sea and the scattered landmasses within it. Many designs she had pre-selected flashed through her eyes, and numerous new ones were added—the knowledge and information she had acquired from Altair allowed her to extract concepts not from history or mythology, but simply from textual settings imagined by mortals. This increased the diversity of her creations, but also greatly increased her workload.
The core concept of Satan cannot be changed, but the derived settings can be altered. Since the original Satan is the ruler of all nations on earth, I will set him as the ruler of the seas. However, the ordinary sea cannot guarantee the powerful nature of this concept, so…
"The sea of energy where darkness gathers can be called the River Styx."
As she spoke, the ocean in the bubble world instantly deepened. Essentially a sea of negative energy, the ocean, after being imbued with concepts, began to transform into an even darker realm according to Alice's will. From the pure darkness at the bottom of the seabed, countless tiny energy clusters emerged, piecing together and converging, slowly taking on the primal forms of ancient creatures.
The fourth stage of the genetic lock, or the demon king position within a soul filled with obsession, can become a god who suppresses a civilization on a single star or guides the development of civilizations across multiple star systems. Given enough time, these extraordinary beings can create their own races or exclusive life forms—they have become 'Gods,' so cracking the genetic creation code exclusive to 'Gods' is actually something that can be done with a little time—if enough time is spent.
Time, plenty of time.
Alice's growth is not yet sufficient to directly command the world to prepare familiars for her. In this situation, if she wants those chaotic energy entities to transform into primordial beings, she would need to pay at least millions, or even tens of millions, of years.
However, Alice didn't have much time to spare at the moment. She knew very well that even if she adjusted the time flow of this nascent world and set the time difference between this world and the outside world to the maximum, she still wouldn't be able to create a suitable enough Familia before this cycle of war began. And without Familias, without living beings to carry her concepts, all the energy she had previously consumed would be nothing more than a waste.
Therefore, I need to act quickly and use extraordinary means—I cannot directly migrate any living beings from the outside, because I cannot confirm whether those beings on the outside were already labeled as other extraordinary beings before I even noticed them. Just as the souls of all the elves in the Lord of the Rings are governed by the Valar, mortals, flowers, birds, trees, and even the smallest planktonic creatures could all be tools causally linked to other extraordinary beings—I can only rely on myself.
Fortunately, I can rely on myself. My long-held wish has been to create a fully autonomous humanoid—in other words, an AI. Such a familia would be immune to interference from other entities and could assist me in my research.
"Then let the sand and gravel at the bottom of the River Styx gather together and be used to build machinery, and let the spirit of chaos be infused into it, and wisdom will be born as the circuits and programs are constructed."
The words of the Creator echoed from the depths of the world. Accompanying her voice, rudimentary machines began to spontaneously construct at the bottom of the ocean, known as the River Styx. These machines combined and assembled, forming different shapes according to some random algorithm. Some were stripes, some resembled square shuttles, and some were irregular circles. The energy bodies floating on the seabed quickly converged and flowed into these mechanical shells, constructing rudimentary AI.
They are tiny, incredibly tiny. So tiny that they are not much different from nanomachines. They will exist as the earliest protozoa and viruses in this world, and within these protozoa and viruses, even more possibilities will emerge.
In this bubble-like world, the first life emerged—perhaps it cannot yet be called life, but at least it took a huge step in the direction of life. Alice then continued her activities, adding other colors to this world.
She created numerous points of convergence between light and darkness on the seabed. With the impact of positive and negative energies, large masses of matter were shaped and accumulated at the bottom of the seabed—these are the volcanoes of this foamy world. These masses will quickly form various mineral deposits, providing a channel for the material cycle of the nascent mechanical life forms. After creating the mineral deposits, Alice then set about modifying the water and atmosphere.
Soon, the pure water became turbid, and the atmosphere acquired many complex components. Creating inorganic matter from clumps of matter was far simpler than constructing large, active organic molecules from inorganic matter. After Alice had set up the water and air, she adjusted the operation of the luminous celestial body at the center of the world, causing it to project gravitational tides whose amplitude and direction varied irregularly within a designated range every moment. And thus, the world came to have tides and weather.
The ocean began to churn. Clouds appeared in the air, and thunder and lightning formed within them. When the volcanoes at the ocean floor erupted, lightning fell from the sky and struck the sea surface. Stimulated by this external force, the primordial mechanical bacteria in the sea underwent a transformation—tiny machines coalesced, quickly forming larger entities. As these entities expanded, the sophistication of their AI evolved, and soon, visible mechanical life emerged on this world.
The initial, and most troublesome, step was finally completed. Without relying on any external resources, Alice had constructed her own world—she was a materialistic witch, and even in creating her world, she set the underlying material groups according to the periodic table—or rather, that's not quite accurate; she simply observed the material structure of this world transform in ways she could understand, without interfering in any way.
She set the time difference between the world's interior and exterior to the limit that this bubble world could currently withstand. After all, simple things are less prone to malfunction, while complex objects are often prone to problems. When mechanical life the size of a hair appeared in the ocean, she decisively withdrew her will from the world. Then, without her as the biggest source of interference, the bubble world began to operate with a time difference thousands of times greater than that of Middle-earth in Lord of the Rings.
Alice spent half a day in Middle-earth, draining enough power to silence Mount Doom indefinitely, while also nearly exhausting her stockpile of energy blocks prepared using the Star Extraction Tower. She had to admit that creating a world required far more energy than she had anticipated, though still within her calculations, and the world she created was actually only the size of Earth. Even as she completed her project, she couldn't help but feel frustrated.
However, time continued to flow, neither fast nor slow. When she had largely completed the outer construction, finished writing the analysis reports on Sauron and Mount Doom, and received news from Patchouli that the ritual was safely nearing its end and Zheng Zha's exploration had yielded nothing, her own bubble world spontaneously began to unfold over tens of thousands of years.
She descended upon her world once more. And this time, just like the world outside, the pure, breathable air entered her senses. She saw the dark ocean as she had envisioned, teeming with various kinds of mechanical fish. However, besides these mechanical fish, the ocean also teemed with carbon-based life—she saw seaweed, algae, primitive giant fish, and numerous other marine animals. Even more astonishingly, these carbon-based life forms, together with the metallic creatures she had created, formed a balanced ecosystem. Some of the marine animals even exhibited signs of being half-mechanical, half-biological!
"Is it because I interfered too much that biological evolution is so rapid?" Alice temporarily suspended her sovereign power to change the world, and the form of her will gently landed on a relatively clear sea surface. She suddenly discovered that the turbid Dark Sea became clear as it approached the land, and that those mature organic life forms were born in the sea near the land.
It was a strange change, but she wasn't bothered by it. The world's diversity was a good thing; she just hadn't expected it to change so quickly.
“Let’s do a quick check,” Alice said, stroking her chin. “Although the progress is a bit faster than I expected, it’s still a world created by a god like myself, so it doesn’t matter. Later, let’s see if we can find a race that can support an early civilization. Then, I’ll weave the myths I need into every corner of the world.”
Alice thought this to herself, and then she reactivated her creator privileges and unleashed her perception of the outside world. And then…
...Her face turned as black as the deepest sea in an instant.
"Why, in my world..." She slowly turned her gaze to a distant land.
"Will humans appear?"
Section 59 Genesis Reversal III
Alice was certain that she hadn't incorporated the element of 'mortals' into this bubble world in her initial design. It wasn't that she couldn't do it, but rather that the souls and genetic structures of mortals were far too complex, leaving her with insufficient time to create them.
If she didn't do it herself, then who did it?
I don't know, I don't understand. But whoever it is, it means that traces of external interference have appeared in her unique world, in her vital foundation that she cannot tolerate being tainted. And this could very well become a hidden danger, creating a fatal weakness in her power and authority at some point in the future.
This hidden danger must be eliminated.
"Could it be the underlying information hidden within my genetic lock...? That is indeed a possibility. The fact that the genetic lock system is unique to mortals is clear evidence of this. However, in this world that belongs to me, this possibility is not very high, because I spent time specifically dealing with the scattered information in the cell clusters and the possible hidden backdoors before creating the world. I should have taken precautions against this possibility at that time."
"And if it wasn't the underlying information of my genetic lock, nor the even less likely possibility of it being the work of those native Celestials of the Lord of the Rings world, whose level is at most fourth-tier, then the last remaining possibility would be..." Two blurry figures flashed through her mind, one was Chu Xuan, and the other was Shen Qi. However, she quickly and completely rejected both of these possibilities.
“No, it couldn’t be them. The method is too crude, and there’s no need for it. Unless there’s some hidden reason I don’t know about.” Alice shook her head. If it were their scheme, she wouldn’t be able to sense or detect these traces at all. This blatant intrusion is more like a direct declaration or warning, and neither of those is likely their doing.
[If this is a warning, the appearance of mortals I didn't design in my world means—'Be wary of or value mortals; they may bring you disaster or help in the future.']
[If it were a declaration that mortals would appear in my world, it would mean something else entirely—'regardless of who created this world, mortals will occupy a place in it, even to the point of dominating it'—the latter deduction contains elements of my malicious bias, but even if phrased more gently, the meaning remains the same.]
My head is starting to hurt... I need to figure out how to deal with this problem. But...
Alice closed her eyes, pondered for a moment, and then slowly opened them again. After a brief period of thought, she had reached the necessary conclusion. Her will shifted, locking onto the continent where mortals had appeared and initiating a teleportation—to understand the meaning behind this phenomenon, she needed to obtain more information. And in any case, on-site investigation and information retrieval were always the most familiar and effective methods for her.
When she arrived at her destination, a feudal-era town of about 10,000 people came into view.
A tribe, numbering in the tens of thousands. The exact number is 16,775, which is also the total number of mortals in the world. Their civilization is close to the middle to late Bronze Age, similar to the Shang and Zhou dynasties in Earth's history. And they all share the same ethnic characteristics—brown curly hair, black eyes, broad, flat noses, thick lips, and dark skin—clearly Negroid. Or, to put it another way—Black people.
“This can’t be a message recorded in my genes… or rather, in the genes of this body.” Alice raised an eyebrow, controlling her invisible will to descend to the center of the settlement. She easily found the most important and prominent building in the settlement. And as she expected, that building was a temple.
Gods cannot exist in this world. Because she, as the creator, did not permit it, and this world lacks the prerequisites for the birth of deities. And these Negroes have absolutely no connection to her genetic code—her past life was Mongoloid, and her present life is Caucasian. If it were Asians or Caucasians appearing here, she might indeed have some suspicions, but since they are Black, there's no need for further thought.
Her mind unfolded, and she recorded and immediately began analyzing the mental fluctuations of these 16,775 Negroes. She deciphered their language and customs with almost no effort. She then quickly began to delve into their history and mythology.
They call themselves the Imana and worship a totem named Nkoai as their supreme god. In their mythology, this Nkoai created the sun and moon from clay, then shaped them into round cauldrons, heated them to a high temperature, and fitted them with red and white hoops. The remaining clay was then cast down and became the earth, from which humans, flowers, birds, fish, and insects appeared…
That's utter nonsense.
Alice shook her head slightly. She had neither created nor intended to create a moon. The so-called sun was nothing more than a chaotic sphere of light and darkness. While people on Earth might see a white light at nightfall due to the dissipation of light from its back, the sun itself didn't move. The sky merely adjusted its brightness gradually, like an automatically adjusting lamp. There was no sunrise or sunset, so such a myth couldn't have naturally evolved.
"Although I haven't yet filled this world with the myths I've created, the ocean, the land, and the sky should all contain remnants of information that I didn't deliberately conceal during creation. Even if highly intelligent beings do appear, they will inevitably be influenced by the information I left behind when they perceive the world and create their own myths—my image will appear in their casually made-up bedtime stories, and the recorded history will contain remnants of my creation. Of course, none of this is important. What is important is that this mythological system doesn't even mention the sea."
Alice lowered her eyes. In her design, the ocean occupied ninety-five percent of the foamy surface of this world, with only the remaining five percent forming land through the channels connecting to the radiance. Furthermore, due to the gravitational tides of the celestial bodies, the ocean's encroachment on the land would never cease, and the seawater suitable for the growth of mechanical life would certainly not be beneficial to the human body.
Therefore, the conclusion is quite simple—these people are outsiders. They come from outside the world, and from a place outside the Lord of the Rings world.
Things are getting more and more complicated.
"More information and evidence are needed."
Alice flicked the message thread, and the settlement before her rapidly reversed and returned to normal under her gaze. The sky went from bright to dark, and then from dark to bright. And in the rewinding of the message, civilization swiftly regressed into barbarism.
She saw the stone paths turn into dirt roads, and the brick buildings become thatched huts made of mud. The old became young again, returning to the womb as embryos. And the once-thousand-strong settlements quickly shrank, the population dwindling to thousands, then thousands, hundreds, then a hundred. And then… everything vanished.
Alice stopped the reversed information.
She arrived at the moment when mortals first appeared in this world… a brief four hundred years ago that amazed her. When the island was still a wasteland, she witnessed a rift appear in the void, and then hundreds of Negroes, dressed in what appeared to be feudal-era clothing, appeared out of thin air in her world.
This was time travel, a systematic group time travel. She stared at the black rift, trying to analyze it, but found no information leaking out. When she shifted her attention away from the rift, she saw the group of dark-skinned time travelers recover from their initial shock of the time-space transfer and quickly establish a rudimentary power structure, beginning construction and exploration.
“This shouldn’t be happening.” Alice shook her head, her face grim. She was certain that she hadn’t detected any spatial changes in the long period since Genesis. She also didn’t believe anyone could tamper with this bubble world without causing a disturbance—the foundation of this world was her body, and anyone who could silently stuff a group of transmigrators into her private world could easily crush her with a single finger. And if such a being truly existed, what would be the point of stuffing a bunch of mortals into her exclusive world?
Alice couldn't understand, nor did she want to understand. She didn't believe that such a powerful being would be so idle as to do something so pointless to her. After all, she was a reincarnator protected by the Supreme God, and under the Supreme God's watchful eye, there was no way that some high-level being beyond her reach would scheme against her—and if it wasn't some powerful being plotting in the dark, then she could only consider this situation a natural phenomenon.
"Could time travel actually be a common phenomenon in the multiverse?" Alice rubbed her head, lost in thought. She ultimately decided to expel these outsiders from her world—she didn't kill them, but instead packed up their descendants and the land beneath their feet and threw them into Middle-earth. After confirming that every single element connected to these mortals had left her world, she unleashed a cataclysmic flood and, after leaving the bubble world, pushed its timeline forward by a thousand years.
Then, she descended into her bubble world once again.
Once again, I saw traces of civilization left behind by a group of suddenly appearing time travelers.
Chapter Sixty: Paradise Lost, Part One
Yet another group of transmigrators, yet another mortal civilization. If the first time could be attributed to chance, this second time is clearly the deliberate act of someone or something. Or perhaps this is truly a natural law: wherever a complete world exists within this multiverse, mortals are bound to appear.
Alice didn't know the whole truth, but she was now consumed by rage. She would never allow anything beyond her control to interfere with her power and authority. Even if it meant a complete breakdown in relations and all her previous efforts were in vain, she was determined to eliminate these unstable elements completely.
[At worst, I'll just abandon this world, this body. Even if I fail many times, the experimental records and resources I acquire will become the foundation for my next attempt. Whether this is a natural phenomenon or there's a mastermind behind it, I will not tolerate a part of myself being mixed with something beyond my control!]
