Carole wiped away her tears and looked at Diana, who was smiling at her. She smiled too; figuring out her origins was truly a pleasant thing.
Carroll walked over to Nick Fury and patted him on the shoulder.
Nick Fury, who was struggling with his thoughts, was suddenly brought back to reality by Carroll.
“Fury, let me reintroduce myself, Carol Danvers…” Carol paused, then said in a firm voice, “Earthling, Carol Danvers.”
Chapter 7 Me? They call me Wonder Woman
Carole walked over to Diana.
“Want to come along? I can feel the immense energy within you.” Carol extended her hand.
Three hours have passed since Carol learned of her identity, and in that time, these people have made a snap decision to head to outer space to retrieve the energy core.
Now, two Skrulls outside are starting to blatantly modify the Quadriga fighter.
Inside the house, seeing that Diana had not yet made a statement, Carol could only try to see if the current top combatant was willing to lend them a hand.
Carol is not yet confident that she can take on Yon-Rog and his entire Kree squad.
Diana took Carol's hand: "Why not? Aren't I your friend? I'd really be heartbroken."
Carol smiled and opened her arms to embrace the perfect woman in front of her.
“To be honest, if I weren’t a woman, I would definitely have gotten you,” Carroll whispered in Diana’s ear.
Diana hugged Carol and patted her on the back: "I definitely won't agree to that, after all, you're not even as tall as me."
Carroll was stunned. Looking at Diana's height of 1.83 meters, she could only feel indignant: "Then you'll never find a boyfriend in your life and will be alone forever."
"You think you can find it?" Diana still had that gentle smile on her face.
But at this moment, Carol felt that this perfect face was full of merciless mockery towards her.
Just as he was about to say something, Diana hugged him again.
“But it’s okay, we have each other.” Diana whispered something in Carole’s ear that made her blush, “if neither of us has found our other half.”
"Wow, wow!" A little girl made a funny sound as she watched two women hugging.
Carole quickly broke free from Diana's embrace, glared at her friend's daughter, while Monica chuckled.
Diana watched as Monica laughed along with her.
Sometimes we need to use smiles to make time pass faster, after all, the world isn't always filled with suffering, and no one is immune to the need for smiles.
"So, does this lovely little princess have any instructions for the important things we are about to do?" Diana clearly had unparalleled kindness and love for children.
Monica slowly walked up to Diana and said, "Although I know you're going to do something really cool, I still hope that any of you will come back safely after you're done."
As soon as the little girl finished speaking, Diana looked up and met Carole's gaze.
“We will finish this mission safely. Trust your Aunt Carol, and trust your mother too.” Diana patted the adorable little girl on the shoulder.
"And what about you and Fury?"
Diana stood up: "Don't you feel like I'm familiar to you?"
Monica scratched her head and looked seriously at the goddess in front of her, who was wearing a form-fitting battle armor. A figure that she had never thought of could exist appeared in her mind.
"You're that superhero!" Monica suddenly exclaimed excitedly, after all, no one would believe that someone who only exists in comics and television would appear in front of them.
Little Monica started circling around Diana. Although she wasn't a big fan of superhero comics, she did remember Wonder Woman, who was known as the first female superhero.
However, this impression wasn't very deep, probably because she has an absolutely outstanding aunt.
"My God! I actually saw a live superhero." Monica nudged Diana's arm and, after confirming three times that it wasn't her hallucination, blurted out these words without thinking.
“I don’t think you’ve ever seen a dead superhero either.” Diana picked Monica up.
Monica wrapped her arms around Diana's neck and said with a smile, "I've only ever seen that in comics. Should I call you Grandma then, since you're over five thousand years old?"
"You! You're five thousand years old!" The one with the biggest reaction wasn't Diana herself, but rather Carole, who had been quietly watching the drama unfold.
But Diana showed no emotion, because she didn't care about her age at all; she was just annoyed by the way Monica addressed her.
In a true sense, she is still a girl from Paradise Island.
Ignoring Carol's eyeball that was about to fall to the ground, Diana touched Monica's forehead and said, "No, according to our system, I'm still a young girl who has just come of age, so I should call you 'older sister'."
Monica thought for a moment, then called out in a clear and crisp voice, "Sister."
Diana smiled and kissed Monica on the forehead.
"Are you really five thousand years old?" Carol was still a little incredulous. She had never seen anything like it before, after all, even the history of that great Eastern country was only five thousand years.
Now you tell her that there is a living fossil right in front of her.
“Oh, Holy Mary.” Carol rubbed her forehead; she was truly devastated.
I found a suitable spot and slowly sat down against the wall.
"What's wrong? Can't take the blow, Aunt Carol?" Diana looked at Carol with a smile.
"Don't talk to me right now," Carol said, as if she wanted to be left alone.
Diana did not continue to provoke the man who had suffered multiple blows in a single day.
I quietly walked up to the two Skrulls who were working hard to modify the Quai fighter. Watching their enthusiastic work, I didn't dare to disturb them.
I just watched them carry out their renovation plan.
Transforming a spacecraft that can only fly within the atmosphere into one that can reach low Earth orbit in outer space sounds like no simple task, yet it gradually took shape in the hands of the Skrull chief scientist who didn't even know high school physics.
"You really shouldn't stare at us like that. I have a feeling you're going to rush over and chop me to death." Talos couldn't stand the intense gaze from the female warrior. It made him feel like he was a captive of this woman who was perfect in Earth's aesthetic standards.
They were the kind of prisoners who could be killed at the slightest provocation.
“You seem afraid of me.” Diana continued to watch the chief scientist working on modifying the aircraft.
“Although you possess immense energy, to be honest, I’m not afraid of you because you have reason.” Talos shook his head, but pointed to the orange cat that had been secretly following Diana, saying, “I’m afraid of it.”
Diana said, "A cat?"
Although she knew this cat was one of the most dangerous species in the universe, she didn't really see any threat from the little guy.
As a goddess, Diana always had absolute faith in her own feelings.
“No, it’s a Flerken.” Talos corrected the orange cat’s name again. “I’ve never seen a Flerken show any ingratiation towards another race before. There’s only one possibility.”
He looked up at Diana's profile: "You are far more powerful than the Flerken, and the fact that we can't transform into you proves that. So what exactly are you, that you're helping them like this?"
“I remember telling you that helping them is helping myself.” Diana picked up the dog that had been rubbing against her feet.
"They call me Wonder Woman."
Diana smiled at Talos, and she looked absolutely gorgeous.
"I call myself the daughter of Paradise Island."
Chapter 8 You dare to grab my cat?
The group of five slowly approached the modified fighter jet. Oh, and there was a cat too.
Diana had no interest in the obviously bulky fighter jet. Although she had once owned a similar aircraft, she always felt that only those with sharp lines and shapes were the best.
If all else fails, at least you're big enough.
Clearly, this Quattroporte failed to satisfy our heroine in any way, and she even showed some disdain for it.
"Why did you choose this particular plane?" Diana asked Nick Fury without any mercy.
Nick Fury shrugged, indicating that Diana should go find the woman who was operating the device.
Diana did not ask Carole; she simply expressed her dissatisfaction with the two men's aesthetic sense.
"Alright, everyone, please be seated. We're about to take off."
Maria and Carol exchanged a glance and started up the Quattro, which was already capable of operating in outer space.
As Diana and the others headed to the coordinates left by the doctor, uninvited guests quietly arrived in Louisiana.
Following the last location signal Carol sent, Yon Roger saw "Carol" looking at him from inside the cabin.
He stopped after just one glance, a cold smile playing on his lips.
"All right! You want to play, right?" Yon Roger shouted. "Then let the game begin!"
Yon Roger simply raised his hand and activated the gravity device on his arm, tearing open the wooden house.
Inside the room, "Carol" knew he was probably not going to survive. Just as he was about to notify Talos, a green laser pierced through his head.
"Carol" slowly transformed into that Skrull.
Yon Rogge activated his communication device: "Ronan, C-53 has been invaded by the Skrulls. Come and wipe them out!"
"Understood, Commander. For the sake of the Kree, I will lead the fleet to wipe out these pests."
The virtual image of Ronan slowly turned around, preparing to proceed with the specifics of C-53.
“Minerva, turn on that damn energy detector.” Yon Rogge stared coldly at the blue sky above. “Let’s go and bring back that bastard who betrayed the Kree Squad.”
“Received, Commander,” Minerva’s voice came through the communicator.
During their six years in Hala, aside from the so-called suppressor on Carol, they weren't idle; for example, they used this energy detector to search for Carol.
After all, the Kree haven't encountered another person like Carol yet.
Such enormous energy is like a drop of ink on a blank sheet of paper in this universe—very conspicuous.
“Commander, you may not believe it,” Minerva’s voice rang out again, “but this time we’ve discovered another Furs.”
The two adjacent energy dots on the screen only aroused the intense interest of this group of Kree.
This is even better news for Yon Rogge, provided he can capture those two and bring them back to Hala. The Supreme Intelligence will handle everything; this time, they won't be able to easily regain their memories.
Kree only needs them to be weapons.
"Pick me up, let's go meet our future teammates."
Meanwhile, Diana and her entourage had entered Mar-Vell's laboratory, a Kree Empire cruiser.
Looking at the blue cube-shaped energy object, Carol gently picked it off, while Maria handed her a lunchbox and placed the object inside.
