After a moment's hesitation, he waved his hand and said, "Go find Nicholas and that alien. I'll take care of things here."
"This?" The agents looked at each other in bewilderment, but still left in an orderly manner.
“I’d like to know why someone like you would help them,” the man asked, looking at Diana.
“Helping them is also helping myself.” Diana still smiled. She could sense that the man in front of her had no hostility towards her. Perhaps he knew he was no match for her, or perhaps he was not a bad person at heart, but neither of these reasons gave him any reason to start a war.
Just as the man was about to say something, the walkie-talkie rang.
"Sir, Fury and the aliens have left in a Quat fighter jet."
"Oh, damn it!"
"Hmm, don't swear in front of me." Diana frowned. "But my mission is successfully completed. See you next time, little green guy."
As soon as she finished speaking, Diana flashed past the man like a bolt of lightning, heading straight for the outer perimeter of the base.
The man could only helplessly watch as the beautiful figure disappeared from his sight.
"What kind of monsters are these?" Shaking his head somewhat helplessly, he could only change his strategy again, since only that Kree might be able to help him.
"Let's call it a day."
Just as the man was instructing the agents to call it a day, Nick Fury and Carroll were discussing Diana aboard a Quattroporte fighter jet.
“Are you sure she’ll be alright? She has some amazing qualities, but I don’t think she’s a warrior,” Carol said to Nick Fury as she piloted the plane.
"Hmm, you don't need to worry about her. Besides, 'warrior' isn't her title. That woman possesses power called God." Nick Fury wasn't worried about Diana's safety.
After all, it's better to worry about your colleagues not getting beaten to death than about her.
“I don’t think that woman is strong. She’s just very pretty. She’s the kind of person who’s completely useless and only good for looking at… you know…” Carol couldn’t think of the right word to describe her, it was on the tip of her tongue but she just couldn’t remember it.
“A vase,” Nick Fury quietly added to Carroll’s comment.
“Yes! That’s right! It’s just a vase!” Carol laughed, finally saying it out loud.
"dong dong dong"
A perfectly expressionless face tapped on the glass outside the cockpit.
"Shit!!"
The two of them swore almost simultaneously.
After all, no one can remain calm when they see someone suddenly appear outside their window at an altitude of 10,000 meters.
Carroll frantically tried to open the rear hatch of the fighter jet, otherwise having a living person flying outside with them would really make it impossible to concentrate.
Nick Fury hugged Gugu tightly, as if that was the only way to calm his nerves after being so frightened.
“You’re such a surprise, Crab! You scared me to death!” Nick Fury said as he looked at the female warrior who had just entered.
Goo Goo broke free from Nick Fury's embrace and ran towards Diana.
"Oh, you naughty cat, you know who's better to hang out with now, don't you?" Nick Fury felt hurt as he watched his cat abandon him.
"How were you flying outside just now?" Carol never believed that anyone could fly outside without any creation; no one could.
Diana smiled and said, "You mean flying?"
Diana slowly rose to the surface and floated inside the cabin.
“Just like that, fly.” With that, she landed again, looking into Carol’s longing eyes. “Don’t worry, you can do it in the future too, and you might even be able to fly in the next few days.”
Hearing Diana say she could fly, Carol shrugged indifferently. She didn't believe she could fly like Diana without any aids.
While there was some suspicion that Diana's armor was meant to help her fly, it was clear that it wasn't some kind of technological creation.
"What about me?" Nick Fury asked excitedly, after all, no one can resist the allure of flying.
"Then I guess you'll have to wait and see if someone cursed by knowledge is willing to share their achievements with you. Anyway, you can't fly on your own."
Upon hearing the conclusion that he couldn't fly on his own like Diana, Nick Fury was somewhat disappointed, but hearing that someone could enable him to fly freely rekindled his hope.
"So where are we going next?" Diana asked.
Carol then handed them a photograph: "Do you recognize anyone?"
"Let me tell you a story. Six years ago, I was half-dead on Hala Star and even had amnesia. And this photo is also from six years ago."
"So you believe you were with Dr. Lawson when the plane crashed," Nick Fury said.
Diana pointed out one thing: "In other words, you might not be an alien."
Carol took a deep breath: "So now we're going to see the last person who saw me and Dr. Lawson. She should know something."
“Maria Rambo.” Nick Fury remembered that file very clearly.
Carol looked at the two of them and asked her final question.
"So, how do I get to Louisiana?"
Chapter 6: The Kree, Furs? No, the Earthling, Carol.
When the Quattro fighter jet landed in the somewhat quiet residential area, Carol felt a little nervous, after all, this was something that would help her prove her identity.
Nick Fury could only pat Carol on the back, after all, it was impossible to truly empathize with such a situation.
If it's true, then no one would have any good feelings towards a race that abducts people to other planets.
Diana looked at Carol and Nick Fury and had a feeling that something had happened between the two of them without her knowledge. Otherwise, where did this feeling of being like friends who had been through thick and thin come from?
Considering that these two men stole a clearly important fighter jet from an American air force base, it seems their life-or-death bond might not be entirely unfounded.
“Let’s go. I believe I’m ready.” Carol took a deep breath and slowly exhaled to ease her tension.
Without a word, Nick Fury followed Carol, who was heading towards her unknown past, but this would become a future that Nick Fury himself could no longer predict.
After all, no one knows where the next danger will come from.
Oh no, someone knows.
One is pondering his retirement plans, while the other is curiously observing the living environment of a witness.
Diana looked at the lush greenery with great interest.
“I must say, this former Air Force pilot has excellent taste,” Diana said to Nick Fury with a smile. “This place is wonderful; it reminds me of Paradise Island.”
The two people in front of her weren't interested in talking to her, so Diana just enjoyed the beautiful scenery on her own.
Diana, who was carefully observing her surroundings, suddenly noticed a black Chevrolet parked in an open space not far from them.
“Frey, check if that car belongs to your department or something.” Diana called out to the man who was about to go inside with Carol to look for Maria’s black-boiled egg.
Upon hearing Diana's words, Nick Fury's hand had already reached for his pistol.
The current S.H.I.E.L.D. has no idea how many people are actually Skrulls.
For an alien race completely devoid of good and evil, no precautions are too much. Nick Fury did indeed have a human strategic weapon like Wonder Woman by his side, but he was attacked and died, and that's it.
Diana noticed Nick Fury's nervousness but said nothing. In her view, for an ordinary person like Nick Fury facing these aliens or superhumans, any preparation was futile.
Unless you have the brains and money of Batman, you're going to get torn to pieces.
Oh, and you also have to pray that your opponent is as merciful as Superman.
Otherwise, there would be no way they could have survived.
"What's wrong? What happened?" Carol was just beginning to notice that something was off with her two companions.
Diana waved her hand, then lowered her guard: "It's alright, it's better to find that important witness now."
Nick Fury also understood that Diana did not want to point out the problem now; without confirming Carol's identity, any hostile relationship was invalid.
Just like it's unclear whether the Kree or the Skrulls are the race that invades and slaughters innocent people everywhere.
Although neither of these two seem to be good people, we still need to see the attitude of our protagonist in this operation, Carol.
Diana stated that she didn't want to deal with these messy things right now, and if it weren't for the current chaos within S.H.I.E.L.D., she would have been hoping that Nick Fury could get her some kind of identification.
She really didn't want to get involved in the national and personal feuds of a cosmic race.
There are no winners in war...
And when Carole met Maria Rambeau, everything unfolded just as Diana herself remembered.
All the mysteries surrounding Carol's identity have been revealed.
Looking at the person now embracing and crying with Maria Rambeau, Diana really couldn't believe that she had once been a true warrior.
As for the Skrull general, Talos could not accept that such a woman had brought down more than twenty of his most elite warriors.
Diana glanced at Talos, who looked shocked, and asked curiously, "You can transform into other people, can you transform into me?"
Talos looked embarrassed; it was quite difficult to see that emotion on his green face.
“I’ve tried, but in the end, I just can’t become you. It’s like you’re different from these Earthlings, and even different from all the races in this galaxy.” Talos looked at Diana and shrugged. “Simply put, your level of life is probably higher than ours, otherwise I can’t explain why we can’t become you.”
"I'm still very happy, after all, no one wants to see an imposter of themselves." Diana's face lit up with a bright smile. It seemed she didn't need to worry about anyone using her blood for any illegal biological experiments.
This kind of thing was made quite a bit by the future bald-headed guy, and of course, those hidden Hydras used every trick in the book.
While the Skrulls may be considered ugly, their racial talent allows them to genetically replicate humans.
If they couldn't do it, then Diana had no reason to worry that someone on Earth could.
After all, this is not the world I used to live in.
Most of the creatures that come to Earth from that place to cause trouble are various aliens from outer space, as well as powerful new gods.
Otherwise, we wouldn't have all worked together to fight against that eight-year-old kid who came to Earth.
Diana felt at ease with the world and had no worries about future threats. The Amazon warriors never yielded to danger, nor did they back down.
Confronting the crisis head-on is the only way to overcome it; this was Diana's lifelong belief.
Nick Fury, however, was becoming increasingly worried about the little broken ball beneath his feet. Today it was a war between the Skrulls and the Kree; next time it might be a war between other races and humans. He didn't know.
However, he understood that Earth could not be left undefended under the starry sky, as that would only embolden those creatures falling from the heavens.
It fell from the sky...
Thinking of this, he glanced at the woman in full armor standing at the door, and at the guy who had calmed down.
Aren't these two typical examples of people who fell from the sky?
