Tony gestured to Happy and said.

But in the end, all they got was a blank-looking Happy and a charming eye roll from Pepper; clearly, neither of them knew about this.

"Looks like I didn't manage to keep this message." Tony rubbed his nose, somewhat embarrassed.

Meanwhile, Diana was organizing the document with her two little ones.

Soon, Diana handed the document that legally recognized the three as relatives to Pepper.

"Looks like you've messed up something again." Diana noticed that Tony's expression was noticeably unnatural, and he looked somewhat embarrassed.

"No, how could that be? I'm a genius, would a genius mess things up? No way." Tony quickly defended himself, trying to prove that he hadn't messed anything up.

Diana didn't want to undermine Tony, but it was clear that someone else wanted to.

Pepper was carefully reviewing the documents signed by Diana and the two children to avoid any problems, but she still spoke up: "He said he left me a message saying that I am the new CEO of Stark Industries."

Diana looked Tony up and down again: "Didn't you settle your chest problem? Why are you still thinking about this?"

"What's wrong?" Pepper also noticed something was amiss at this point.

"Stop, stop, stop." Tony quickly interrupted Diana, who was about to speak. He had never told Pepper about this, about her past poisoning, or even that it was something that could have killed her.

The problem is, neither of the two women in front of him cares what Tony says. Pepper might listen, but if it concerns Tony's safety, she will refuse his requests.

Although, she is unlikely to refuse.

“Tony’s previous Arc Reactor was powered by palladium. If he didn’t have that big hole in his chest, there wouldn’t have been any problems.” Listening to Diana’s words, Tony felt a headache coming on. He really shouldn’t have let these two women know each other.

Diana shrugged: "The thing that saved his life could also take it away at any moment."

"What! You're going to die!?" Pepper was clearly only concerned about Tony's physical condition.

"No, no, no, I have completely mastered this technology. My father left me the most important part, so I won't die." Tony waved his hands repeatedly to indicate that he was in excellent health and would not die from palladium poisoning.

Pepper didn't care about that; all she knew was that the most important thing was for Tony to take that thing off his chest.

As Pepper walked to the side and started making a phone call, Tony said to Diana in a strange tone, "You really are my good friend."

"Doesn't this resolve your previous awkward situation?" Diana was completely unmoved by Tony's complaints. "Pepper only has eyes for you."

“I know, that’s why I want to hand Stark Industries over to her.” Tony looked at Pepper on the phone with the same infatuated look he used to tease her about.

"That's your problem then." Diana waved to the two little ones, telling them not to run too far.

The first thing Pepper did after returning from the call was to say to Tony, "I've already arranged for the best surgeon. Tony, you need to have a consultation right away. I need to make sure that thing in your chest won't cause you any more harm."

"Actually, it's no longer harmful... If you insist, I can go." Although he said that, Tony relented and decided to go see those so-called experts.

Pepper was satisfied with Tony's attitude, after all, this was a matter of life and death for him.

“Then there’s the next thing. Hammer Industries’ press conference has been moved up, and they’ve already sent us invitations.” Pepper said to Tony with a frown, glancing at Diana as she spoke. “The invitation emphasizes that you and Diana are required to attend.”

"Didn't that idiot book a date a month from now?" Tony didn't understand why Hammer would suddenly move their own press conference forward, something that would be impossible for any military-industrial company or even a tech company. "What about the collective time?"

"The date is the day after tomorrow. But we don't know why it's been moved up, but it seems to have something to do with Washington." Pepper shook his head.

“It’s alright, let’s see what they’re up to.” Diana was still looking at the two little ones, but that didn’t mean she hadn’t heard Tony and Pepper’s conversation.

However, Diana said this in Mandarin.

"What do you mean?" Tony was clearly not a guy who was fluent in Chinese.

“Look what he’s up to,” Diana said, looking at Tony with a pitying expression.

Tony suddenly felt that Diana was looking down on him in this respect: "Pepper, sign me up for a Chinese class. I don't believe I can't learn it."

"OK," Pepper said, used to Tony's childishness, and could only smile at Diana.

Diana, however, paid no attention to it and turned her attention back to the two little ones.

Regarding the Hammer Industries affair, all Diana could say was that a fool paired with a politician with ulterior motives was a perfect match.

Chapter 83 Hammer's Farce

Two days passed in the blink of an eye, and the scheduled press conference for Hammer Industries had already arrived.

Justin Hammer strode onto the stage to the beat of a saxophone, his steps somewhat arrogant. His silver-gray suit, paired with the striped tie at his collar, always seemed out of place for the image of an arms company CEO.

The continuous applause from the audience clearly made the young CEO, who had always aimed to surpass Stark Industries, somewhat arrogant, or rather, his goal had always been to surpass Tony Stark.

“That’s more like it. Welcome, everyone.” Justin stepped to his podium, placing his hands on the surface and speaking in a tone that didn’t sound entirely sincere. “Ladies and gentlemen, for a long time our country has made brave soldiers risk their lives in battle. Then we had Iron Man, and we thought we wouldn’t lose lives anymore. But he refused to share his advanced technology, and even collaborated with his new girlfriend on a so-called Insight Agency. That’s unfair, wrong, and a real shame. But it’s still a fantastic invention, making headlines all over the world.”

Pepper Potts in the audience was probably glancing at her watch. She hadn't seen Tony or Diana yet, and while there might be something fishy going on at Hammer Industries' press conference, it was ultimately about the Iron Man suit and the Arc Reactor—something Hammer couldn't just easily use.

Pepper called Tony directly: "Tony, where are you right now?"

Pepper was clearly a little anxious; the main focus of Justin Hammer's press conference today was Tony's Iron Man suit.

“Don’t rush, Pepper. Let Justin have his fun for a while, or he won’t be laughing anymore.” Tony’s voice was still full of that flippancy; he didn’t take Hammer seriously at all. A fool, who becomes a ridiculous fool in a suit.

"What about Diana? There's no sign of her showing up yet." Pepper really didn't want to be the only one at Hammer Industries' press conference to endure Hammer's nonsensical attacks.

“Our heroine is going to find someone now, she’ll be back soon.” Tony was sitting at home talking to Pepper on the phone, with a brand new Iron Man suit next to him.

“Okay, I hope whoever you are, get over here quickly. I really don’t want to see Justin’s face anymore. At least someone should talk to me, okay?” Pepper’s complaining voice came through the receiver to Tony’s ears.

“No problem.” Tony said and hung up the phone. On the other end of the line was a guy in a U.S. Air Force uniform.

James Rhodes was feeling a bit awkward. Before Pepper even called, the two of them had been talking about something that had left him speechless for a while.

"You're not running a fever, are you? Or rather, is that thing on your chest affecting your brain?" Rhodes really couldn't understand why Tony would call him over, then point to an Iron Man suit and casually say, "Now this is yours."

That's right, there was also an Iron Man suit next to Rhodes, but it was a Mark III without any paint job. Its golden appearance made it hard not to attract attention.

“I’ve thought about it a lot, Rhodes. If it weren’t for Diana’s reminder that allowed me to get my dad’s things, I might already be on a path of self-destruction.” Tony knew better than anyone else what stupid things he might do when he was dying, especially since the Insightful needed people most right now.

"So what exactly do you mean?" Rhodes still couldn't understand Tony's thought process. What did this have to do with Tony giving him the Iron Man suit?

Tony tapped his temple and said, “We need people, Rhodes. The Insightful need people, and you’re one of the people I can think of right now.”

“Me? Join the Insightful?” Rhodes pointed to his chest. “Tony, do you see what’s here?”

Tony glanced at what Rhodes was pointing at: "Your 'sweetheart,' isn't she?"

“No, Tony, this is the American Air Force badge, okay? You want me to take off this uniform and join your private organization?” Rhodes retorted to Tony’s unbelievable statement.

"Do you really think that in the future, a so-called modern military will be able to protect anyone?" Tony waved his hand. "What use will the American military be when Diana and that Stallone tear down the Senate and the Washington Monument?"

Rhodes suddenly lost his ability to speak; the battle between those two in Washington shattered all of Rhodes's imagination. Those were not guys that modern armies could resist; truly, those two showed everyone why they could be called gods.

“I can also show you a video.” Tony clapped his hands, and the window, which was originally just a transparent glass window, turned into a huge screen.

That's Diana, of course, but this time the setting is Sokovia.

"Wow!" Rhodes exclaimed as he watched the clearly medium-heavy tank being easily tossed aside and even lifted up and thrown. While watching the video, Rhodes unconsciously stood up and examined it closely.

“Luckily, my private jet wasn’t affected, so I can still see the video.” Tony stood up from the sofa and walked over to Rhodes. “What if I told you that Diana could withstand a nuclear explosion?”

Rhodes was completely stunned by Tony's barrage of information: "Are all our future enemies going to be guys like this?"

Tony shrugged. "Who knows? Maybe weaker than Diana, maybe stronger. Nobody knows for sure."

Rod stroked his chin, his eyes finally hardening: "Remember to reserve a room for me at your base."

After saying that, he left Tony's house without even taking his suit with him.

Tony didn't care, after all, he had achieved his goal. The Insightful were no longer the three-person organization they used to be; they were now four.

Rewind to the moment when Pepper and Tony were talking, and the Hammer Industries press conference was also reaching its climax.

"Come on, let's see what I can come up with to replace the so-called Iron Man." Justin clapped his hands, and several staff members went up on stage and pushed Justin's podium off.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you are about to witness the most perfect thing in the world! Today, I'm introducing you to a brand new face of the American military!" Justin said passionately to the audience, arms outstretched, "The steel soldiers of Hammer Industries!"

Behind him, four elevators slowly rose, each carrying a tall, muscular steel soldier.

"This is way better than any LED light cheerleading squad!" Justin waved his arms excitedly, as if he could already see the huge order from the U.S. Department of Defense waving at him, and green dollars flying into his pocket.

The audience erupted in applause after Justin unveiled his so-called "steel soldier," with the American military leaders being the most excited. As long as the price wasn't outrageously high, the military could afford it.

"I wonder what Antonie will think when he sees this. After all, this can perfectly replace his so-called Iron Man. Isn't it?" Justin put his hand above his eyes and made a gesture of looking around. "I'm sure I invited that Iron Man and his girlfriend, but all I see now is a little assistant from Stark Industries."

"Hey! Is he scared? Doesn't he dare to show up? Isn't his girlfriend pretty strong?"

Pepper simply couldn't understand Justin on stage. Could anyone really be so stupid as to lead their company to become an arms company under Stark Industries?

"The items look pretty good."

As Justin was indulging in his wild and unrestrained behavior, a female voice came from behind him.

Diana, dressed in her Wonder Woman costume, appeared on the display stand, resting her chin on her hand as she carefully examined the Hammer Industries steel soldiers. It must be said that in this setting, the lighting on Diana enhanced her already divine aura. But only if you could ignore the burly, heavily tattooed man at Diana's feet.

"Hehehe, little girl, this isn't a place for you," Justin said to Diana, forcing a smile.

Diana ignored Justin's words and reached out to tap lightly on the outer armor of the Hammer Industries' steel soldier.

“The armor might not be very good.” Diana pinched the protrusion on the outer armor with two fingers and gently tore it off.

All of this was witnessed by everyone in the audience.

"Boom!"

A loud roar echoed through the air at Hammer Industries' press conference, and a golden and red steel shadow landed on Hammer's display stand.

When he appeared, the cheers from the audience were deafening, as if their voices were indestructible.

"What can this thing guarantee? To be a moving target on the battlefield?" The moment Tony landed on the display stand, he had already scanned these so-called steel soldiers. Their seemingly thick outer armor couldn't withstand the power of large-caliber firearms at all. They would only be mercilessly torn to shreds.

"Hey, what are you doing!" Justin never expected that the first thing these two people did upon arriving was to go on stage and belittle his 151.7 million steel soldiers as worthless.

"Oh, so this thing on the chest is kind of interesting, but the rotation speed is too low." Tony easily removed the reactor from the Iron Man's chest. "But honestly, where did you get this bootleg, low-quality thing?"

“From here.” Before Justin could answer Tony’s question, Diana interrupted, pulling the burly man beside her to Tony’s side.

“Jarvis, check him out.” Tony had absolutely no recollection of this person; he had never seen him at any scientific conference.

“Sir, you should be quite familiar with his father, Anton Vanko, who worked with your father to build the Arc Reactor,” Jarvis’s voice came to Tony.

"The one who was later expelled, right?" Tony looked down at the burly man on the ground. "I really didn't expect that guy to have such a big son, and it's obvious that his friends aren't exactly peaceful people."

"Stark's history is all about thieves and robbers." Ivan Vanko, covered in tattoos, was beaten by Diana when she brought him here, leaving him unable to stand up to this day.

Tony ignored the guy's words and said to Diana, "Could you go a little easier next time? This guy's spine is completely broken, and even the best neurosurgeon can't fix it."

Diana rolled her eyes at Tony.
