Those time travelers that year

Because he alone was enough to take on the entire Asgard. Therefore, he looked down on Laufey and even more so on the ice giants of Jotunheim, even though, theoretically, Jotunheim should be considered a distant relative of Muspelheim.
Of the nine kingdoms, Odin is the only one whom Surtr can take seriously. This is not only because Odin is a god like Surtr, but also because Odin has proven his authority through countless battles over thousands of years.
This strangely dressed Asgardian brat was also completely ignored by Surtr. Although the armor did look somewhat divine, the person wearing it was not Odin himself.
But the other one, the one who looked like a mortal, or at most a powerful wizard, left Surte quite bewildered. He couldn't see through this guy, or rather, he couldn't see through the true nature of this mortal… This was very illogical; a mortal is a mortal, and a god is a god. For Surte, he could directly see through the essence of all things. Generally speaking, no one had the ability to hide their true self from him.
But this mortal was the 'accident' that shouldn't exist.
Destruction, flames, demons, mortals, demigods, unfathomable and indescribable madness, a dazzling, bubble-like starry sky... What is this guy?! Why does a person have such a complex nature? Even Odin, who is also a god, couldn't see it back then. Surtr couldn't see the chaos of this freak he saw today.
But that doesn't matter...
Whoever it is, just kill them directly! Surt, who was confident enough in his strength, didn't think too much about it. Why would you play mind games with the weak who can be crushed by brute force?
"You little brats! You've trespassed into the territory of the Flame King..." Surt roared, "...What do you seek? Submission or destruction!"
"Your Excellency, Lord of Fire!" The figure hidden in his armor stepped forward slightly. "I am Loki from Asgard. I have come here today only to end a meaningless cycle of reincarnation. I implore the great Surtr to grant us a small favor."
"Asgard? Hahahaha!" Surt laughed. "Odin's men, I've never believed we could have anything in common besides war and slaughter. Of course... for the sake of my mortal enemy, speak! Son of Odin, this is Surt's reward for your foolish courage in trespassing into Muspelheim..."
"I wish to borrow your Twilight Sword to completely incinerate the threads of fate."
"What did you say? You Asgardian brat?!" Surtr retorted. "Do you know what you're saying? You want war, you want Ragnarok to happen right now?"
“No! Great Surtr, Lord of Fire of Muspelheim,” Loki cried out, “I only wish to end the possibility of Ragnarok…”
“This is impossible, Odin’s son!” Surtr roared. “That is the end of destiny, the glory of the final battle, and no one can stop Ragnarok from coming! Neither you, you little brat, nor my mortal enemy Odin, can change fate…”
“But that means absolutely nothing, Your Excellency!” Loki said unwillingly. “Everything will die, and beyond the darkness, the cycle of reincarnation keeps pushing this history without a future… Rather than be trapped in this pathetic cycle of fate…”
"Enough!" Surtr interrupted Loki, the power of the Heavenly Father surging from his towering body, carrying a scorching heat and an apocalyptic majesty. The Heavenly Father raised the Twilight Sword in his hand. "If you want the Twilight Sword in my hand, then take it yourselves!"
"Of course, that's assuming you survive!"
260. Projection begins
The talks broke down!
When he saw Surtr raise the Twilight Sword, which was essentially a skyscraper, Ciel wasn't surprised at all. In fact, he didn't think Loki's plan to negotiate first and then kill would succeed. At least the former was impossible, while the latter was almost certainly possible.
This is quite normal. Why would a divine father listen to the cries of two ants in his eyes? Even if one of these ants is a planetary god and the other a wizard, it's clear that Surtr has killed countless enemies of both types throughout his life. Given this, the breakdown of negotiations and the outbreak of war are inevitable.
However, both Loki and Ciel were already mentally prepared. After all, their initial intention upon arriving in Muspelheim was to eliminate Surtr. Therefore, the two Infinity Stones—the Mind Stone and the Aether, the Destroyer Armor and the Casket of Ice—were specifically designed to combat Surtr. The Infinity Stones, in particular, with their GM-like power, were the primary force against Surtr, while the Destroyer Armor and Casket of Ice were mainly used to deplete Surtr's power and delay him.
"Die, you insects!" With Surtr's furious roar, the Flame King swung the massive Twilight Sword down towards the Ciel and Loki. This time, it wasn't a wide-range attack; instead, the energy was forcibly concentrated within the blade. A direct hit wouldn't be as fortunate as before, allowing for a narrow escape; instead, the attacker would be crushed into dust by the power of the Twilight Sword.
However, reality seemed to exceed the Flame King's expectations. Just as the Twilight Sword, carrying immense mass and power, struck down, a flash of black and red light disappeared in the air. Immediately afterward, this black and red light, appearing out of nowhere, coalesced into four or five enormous, semi-transparent weapons, each tens of meters long. These were blades; although compared to the Twilight Sword in Surtr's hands, these blades, tens of meters long, resembled daggers. However, four or five 'daggers' stacked together were still enough to withstand the demonic sword that was burning the world.
"What is this?" Surtr exclaimed in surprise, astonished that these swords, which had materialized out of thin air, could directly withstand the power of the Twilight Sword. However, Surtr, as the Father God, quickly found the origin of these things from his distant memories: "The source of the universe!? The aether particles in the hands of those dark elves!"
"Is this the source of your confidence, you two brats, to challenge Surtr, the ruler of Muspelheim, the King of Flames?" Surtr roared, flames erupting from his body in unison with his voice. "Let the flames purify everything!!!!!!!!!"
The scorching heat distorted the surrounding space, and the next moment, a storm of flames erupted! If the most direct manifestation of power created by human civilization is the nuclear bomb, then what Surt is now unleashing is a solar storm—or rather, a solar flare.
A massive surge of energy spread outwards, shattering the translucent blades that had initially held off the Twilight Sword into dust under the power unleashed by Surtr. A blinding light, billowing flames, and waves of heat swept across the skies above Muspelheim. Even the native creatures of Muspelheim were incinerated before the power of this Flame King. This was a power capable of instantly turning the entire Americas into ruins; S.H.I.E.L.D.'s overconfident global offensive and the recruited Avengers were utterly useless against such power.
However, this firestorm, powerful enough to destroy Earth's ecosystem, didn't seem capable of directly killing the two 'outsiders' in Surt's eyes. Amidst the flames and light, a discordant azure glow appeared. This cold light stood firm amidst the flames; it was the aura of Jotunheim. There was no mistake; the moment that azure light appeared, Surt immediately recognized its source: the power of the Casket of Ice, the artifact wielded by the ice giants of Jotunheim. Laufey, with the power of the Casket of Ice, had dared to directly challenge Asgard and Odin, who was also a god. And a thousand years ago, even Odin had to pay a considerable price to finally defeat Laufey.
The Ice Casket may not be as powerful as the Aether, the primordial substance once possessed by the Dark Elves, but in terms of the threat it posed to Surtr, the Ice Casket surpassed the Aether. Indeed, in Surtr's eyes, the threat posed by the Aether was no match for the icy power of the Ice Casket. This was because one of his essential powers was fire, and ice, its opposite, was his greatest counter.
"The Casket of Ice, Odin's Son, you are well prepared!" Surt roared. "But so what! I am Surt, the Desolate King of Muspelheim, the End of the Nine Realms, the End of the Gods, I am destruction!"
"And this place will become your grave!"
As he spoke, Surtr gripped the massive Twilight Sword and swung it once more, slashing down at the azure light that stood firm amidst the firestorm.
"Projection to begin!"
Just as Surtr's blade fell, a voice echoed through the flames. Immediately afterward, the flames that had been clashing with the azure light and erupting from Surtr suddenly burst open, revealing a dazzling golden radiance, a golden light completely different from the divine power of Asgard.

The flames were torn apart, revealing a brilliant light, carrying with it a desire and pursuit of victory and glory.
Behind the azure light, the silver-gray Destroyer stretched out its hands, its own power combined with the divine power of the Ice Box to create a protective barrier against Surtr's flames. However, what caught Surtr's attention was the strange human in black.
At this very moment, in the hands of that strange human, a sword blade, seemingly forged from gold, radiated a dazzling golden light. Even that golden light dispersed into countless specks of stardust, drifting away!
……
Projection magic is one of the spellcasting systems in the Type-Moon universe. Its level surpasses enhancement and transformation, representing the highest difficulty within this system. In the Type-Moon universe, magic power serves as a form of currency for exchange between humans and the world. Therefore, projection magic is also a form of equivalent exchange; users can use their magic power to exchange for the physical form of imagined objects, but only replicas of the originals.
During World War V, under the powerful protagonist's halo, the piracy power of a certain bulldozer-like China influenced even the parallel world's "him" to embark on a path of squeezing out the legitimate market with piracy and ultimately crushing the legitimate market.
However, no matter how exquisite the pirated version is, it is not the original. Therefore, due to the flaws, the market policy of prioritizing quantity over quality was ultimately adopted (Underlying Boundary: I am a Cheapskate).
In fact, acquiring projection magic was a pleasant surprise at the time; Ciel hadn't expected that Chief Ken would possess knowledge of it. However, after trying it out, Ciel realized it was a huge trap. If you couldn't project a Noble Phantasm, then this projection magic was merely a medium for materializing magical energy out of thin air. Although it seemed like creating matter out of thin air—a sophisticated concept—it was essentially useless. What kind of matter you could project depended entirely on your understanding of that matter. In other words, if you wanted to project wood, you needed to know the composition of wood; if you wanted to project stone, you needed to understand the structure of stone.
261. Piracy
In other words, if you want to create solid matter through projection magic, you'd need to take a physics class—a damn physics class! To project firearms, you'd need knowledge of firearms manufacturing; to create bullets, you'd need the principles of bullet composition. Theoretically, projection magic can indeed create any kind of matter, and the range of such matter is very broad. However, the prerequisite is that you need to analyze and understand that matter. If you could directly contact nuclear matter and survive, theoretically you could create nuclear matter…
But do you expect magicians to spend time pursuing advanced scientific studies while they're painstakingly researching magic?! While alchemy can be considered the beginning of modern science, are you kidding me? You want magicians to abandon their centuries-old family magic inscriptions and instead study physics, take postgraduate entrance exams, and get doctorates?
Therefore, while projection magic is a very advanced form of magic, it's also quite useless. What's the point of this skill?! You can't expect someone to spend time learning magic, studying physics, and then simultaneously practicing with swords, spears, and staffs to complement projection magic.
Cheating!
At least Ciel, who had finally grasped the principle under the tutelage of his own princess from the Age of Gods, was completely bewildered. Originally, he planned to use projection magic to create a bootleg version, to experiment with a nuclear-powered archery technique. However, after understanding the essence of projection magic, Ciel realized that the 'protagonist' of the Fifth Holy Grail War was truly overpowered. Whether he was white-haired or red-haired, he was always cheating. Being able to directly copy a Heroic Spirit's Noble Phantasm using projection magic—this guy was practically an unconventional mage!
Then Ciel abandoned his plan to further study projection magic.
Instead of projecting a piece of junk, it's much faster to create a longsword with magic. And why bother attacking an enemy who can be slammed in the face with a fireball? Similarly, if a fireball fails, wouldn't throwing five fireballs be far more effective than projecting a longsword and hacking at them?
However, after obtaining the Aether, the Reality Stone from the Infinity Stones series, in this Marvel universe, Ciel suddenly had a flash of inspiration one day. The effects that the Aether could create were equivalent to the user's own imagination (brainstorming) plus their own capacity to withstand it. But during his research, Ciel discovered that the Aether (Reality Stone) was actually more suitable for scientific research than for fighting! Because it was a simple 'answer'; any reality that could be imagined, and for which one had the ability to withstand it, could appear out of thin air under the influence of the Aether's power.
This looks remarkably similar to Projection Magic! Or rather, the Reality Stone is essentially a super version of Projection Magic, countless versions after it. Projection Magic can create matter, while the Reality Stone can synthesize matter out of thin air at the atomic level. Projection Magic can summon all sorts of shoddy imitations, but the Reality Stone doesn't create imitations at all; it creates imitations that are even more authentic than the originals.
Thinking about it this way, the role of the ether particles is truly enormous!
Creation concept—a person with a wildly imaginative mind. Although Sharl doesn't think his imagination (or rather, his daydreaming) is particularly strong, it's still far superior to those useless dark elves! This point is accepted.
Basic framework – let's start filling in the blanks. With the mental amplification from the Scepter of the Mind, I can not only fill in the blanks, but also calculate the numerators. Passed!
The power of the constituent material—the Aether (Reality Stone)—is such that what material cannot be created? Direct atomic manipulation can create it out of thin air. Success!
Production technology—what technology is even needed? The etheric particle provides the answer directly: no technology is required at all. Passed!
Relying on experience—what is that? What is experience? The ether particle is directly and perfectly realized, so what need is there for experience? Passed!
Accumulated years—with the scepter of the mind in hand, what need is there for years? What need is there for faith and tales? To put it bluntly, the so-called power of faith is nothing more than another kind of mental ability. Many believe it, and that becomes reality—this is the essence of faith. The power of mental energy to transform the Reality Gem directly creates related legends, related beliefs, and related essences from nothing.
Then, pirated versions that surpassed the original appeared.
During the Fifth Holy Grail War, while projection magic and the upgraded Unlimited Blade Works could replicate Noble Phantasms, they couldn't surpass the originals. But now, Ciel Phantomhive, with the power of the two Infinity Stones, has completely recreated the original—no, it should be said that he created a bootleg version even more powerful than the original!
……
And now, reflected in Surtr's eyes, Ciel holds in his hand the Noble Phantasm created through the combined power of the Aether and the Mind Scepter—Excalibur. In the Type-Moon universe, this is an Anti-City Noble Phantasm, reaching rank A++. It is the largest and strongest Noble Phantasm wielded by Saber Artoria, and is regarded as the most powerful holy sword symbolizing the legend of King Arthur.
It is approximately three feet long (about 93.3 cm) and four inches wide (about 12.3 cm). It is said to be a pinnacle weapon even among holy swords, forged by a planet, not by humans. It is said to be one of the ultimate divine weapons, the "Last Phantasm," crystallized within the planet using people's faith as its raw material. Regardless of whether this is mere speculation, Ciel has created it directly based on this idea.
Originally, Marvel isn't Type-Moon, so there shouldn't be any rules like this. But since Ciel now holds GM authority, if there aren't any rules, he'll just add one himself!
And so, Excalibur, which shouldn't have appeared in the Marvel universe, did, and—the bootleg is better than the original! Even Saber would be completely dumbfounded, because the holy sword that Ciel holds now has power beyond the original—power enough to threaten or even harm a God the Father.
"I've wanted to shout that for ages!" Charles, his face beaming with excitement, raised the holy sword he had created. The next moment, golden light gathered on the blade. His own magical power was swiftly converted into light by the holy sword, and then… "Ex—calibur!!!!!"
The prototype of Excalibur is the Sword in the Stone, which in turn is the sword in the tree in Norse mythology. This sword was originally created by Odin to deal with Ragnarok, but it was ultimately shattered by Odin himself with Gungnir, thus shattering the last hope of avoiding Ragnarok.
And now, the myth has been reborn. Surtr, who unleashed Ragnarok, and his Twilight Blade have finally met the sword of hope, Excalibur, though it is not the sword in the tree.
With a downward swing, the light formed by the convergence of magic at the tip of the holy sword was released as a beam, which then met Surt's Twilight Sword head-on.

262. Continue piracy
Demon Sword VS Holy Sword, who wins? In reality, there's no clear winner at first glance! The Twilight Sword falls from the sky, carrying the apocalyptic flames that will burn the world. This is a strike from a Heavenly Father, a strike powerful enough to cleave the heavens, tear the earth apart, and destroy all things. This is the Blade of Doom, the demon sword that heralds the arrival of Ragnarok. Beneath this blade lies the end of the world.
On the other side, the blade that met the Twilight Sword was a counterfeit holy sword, surpassing its predecessor in quality. An endless stream of magic, channeled through this holy sword that shouldn't exist in this world, transformed into light—a radiance representing victory and hope. The golden blade of light, carrying power sufficient to threaten and even slay gods, advanced and engaged the Twilight Sword in a direct confrontation.
The Twilight Sword and the Blade of Light clashed, golden light and flames colliding, canceling each other out and annihilating one another. On one side was the 'miracle' created by the combined power of the two Infinity Stones; on the other, the infamous God of Doom. The demonic sword clashed with the holy sword, their powers converging in the sky. Even the aftershocks unleashed a massive storm and earthquake.
However, even a holy sword forged from two Infinity Stones was ultimately a level below. Its golden light began to crumble and recede little by little under the pressure of the Twilight Sword. Even as a sword of victory, it was still at a disadvantage against the demonic sword in Surtr's hands, a sword destined to bring about the end of the world.
Even so, it was still astonishing. At least in Surt's eyes, the idea of a holy sword radiating endless light being able to contend with the Twilight Sword was unheard of. Because of this, Surt roared in fury; this light, representing victory, made him extremely uncomfortable.
"Victory?! Wishful thinking!!!" As the Heavenly Father who could see through the true nature of the holy sword forged by the Charr, Surtur immediately increased the power of the Twilight Sword in his hand. For him, the God of Doom, victory was utterly insignificant. Just as the Aesir gods would ultimately face defeat, in Surtur's view, everything he did, his path of authority, was solely for defeating victory, bringing defeat and death to his enemies. "Frey, son of Njord, the Vanir god of the sea and god of victory and abundance, died by my hand... No one can take victory from Surtur, not even the God of Victory, nor you, the wizards, and those Asgardian brats!"
With a roar, Surtr slammed down the Twilight Sword, its sudden burst of power crushing the light emanating from the Holy Sword with unstoppable force, heading straight for Charles and the Destroyer's Armor. Then, it pulverized and destroyed their figures...
"An illusion!?" Surt, having 'killed' the two enemies, immediately sensed something was wrong; it was merely an illusion. The two wretched brats had already vanished the moment he pressed down with the Twilight Sword. "Come out here! Prepare to face Surt's wrath!" The roaring giant swung the Twilight Sword, unleashing a new and terrifying firestorm. The entire city of Muspelheim trembled and groaned, shaking under Surt's power, presenting a scene of impending doom.
As mentioned before, Muspelheim is an alternate dimension, connected to other similar alternate dimensions. One of these is the Hell of Evil Spirits. At this moment, when Surtr unleashes his power relentlessly with the Twilight Sword, not only is Muspelheim shaken by his power, but even some hellish dimensions connected to Muspelheim are affected by it.
Of course, this elicited curses and angry thoughts from those controlled planes. However, not one of them was willing to come and question Surter. Those cunning demon dukes and demon lords quickly controlled their own planes, severing their connections with Muspelheim. The beings fighting there were all monsters they couldn't afford to provoke, so they simply decided to let them fight it out rather than cause them any trouble.
For Surtr, none of this mattered. Now, the fire giant was intently searching for the two 'little mice' that had evaded his sight through illusions, and then tearing them to shreds.
Meanwhile, Ciel and Loki hid in a hastily created illusory space. Using his knowledge of space derived from the Tesseract and the inexplicable 'enlightenment' he gained, Ciel, aided by the illusion created by Loki's authority as Surtr slashed the Twilight Blade, instantly created a illusory space through the amplification of the Reality Stone, allowing both himself and Loki to hide inside.
However, this cannot be kept secret from Surte for long. After all, Surte is a Heavenly Father God. Once Surte realizes what is happening, he can use his status as a Heavenly Father God to find the illusory space hidden in the spatial crevices, seize the traces of the two, and force them out of the illusory space.
'How about it?'
'Not yet! The souls I've absorbed aren't enough to directly threaten Surte's authority, or rather, he hasn't used his full power yet...'
'Then let's finish this quickly, don't drag it out into a protracted war. After all, he is a Heavenly Father. Even if he's arrogant, Surtr will eventually sense something's wrong. I don't think the Mind Scepter can affect him for long.'
