"I just came from San Francisco. I visited Afu an hour ago, and I haven't even been doing any research since I got back for more than an hour, and then I ran into you guys!"

"Oh...you don't understand either?"

"Nonsense, if I knew, I wouldn't have needed to investigate myself! Hiss—"

"Uh, yeah. Garfield, help me out."

Garfield's paws glowed, unleashing its healing power. Dick Grayson's pain was instantly relieved, and he even smelled a fresh, herbal fragrance. [Aromatherapy]

“Cool, come on, I’ll take you to find Alfred.”

Once recovered, Dick hurriedly ran towards the Bat Cave, with Tian Xiaoban and Garfield following behind.

"Ban, are you sure this kid was trained by that Batman guy? He seems so arrogant."

Tian Xiaoban explained, indicating she understood perfectly:

"If he's not hot-blooded, can he even be called a young man? I bet he's going through his rebellious teenage years. I doubt he's even practiced the boxing techniques I left behind; he's utterly useless."

"Fine, I'll just consider it helping Alfred raise his child."

"Hmm, you don't seem to be even 13 years old!"

"Shut up, Garfield!"

Just as they were speeding towards Gotham's private hospital.

........................

the other side.

In a suburban research institute, four men are playing a "game" with Batman within his consciousness.

Bain, the Penguin, the Scarecrow, the Riddler.

The four of them entered Batman's consciousness through a strange machine. It was a machine made by the Hatter, which allowed them to have a lucid dream, essentially subjecting Batman to mental torture, with their own consciousness taking the lead.

This cost the Penguin a lot of money. If it weren't for wanting to find out what secrets this bodysuit fanatic had that allowed him to survive brain death, he wouldn't have been willing to spend the money.

Last time, it was also led by the Penguin, who brought a large group of superpowered individuals and beat Batman to the point of brain death.

According to the mercenary, her hair could cause instant brain death and prevent hospitals from diagnosing the cause.

But miraculously, Batman survived, and not only did he survive, he became even more ruthless.

Batman knew they had super-powered drugs, so his attack was practically aimed at dismantling their skeletons. Even if they used the drugs, it would take them a long time to recover.

This piqued Penguin's curiosity, so he gathered a group of talented individuals to uncover the secret.

Batman remained stubborn, enduring three days of torture without uttering a word. Then, someone remarked, "If only we had the technology from Inception, we could know any secret."

The pressure suddenly fell on the Mad Hatter, whose hat had the power to brainwash people; it was a brainwave controller he had developed.

But this was ineffective against the determined Batman; he simply couldn't be brainwashed.

Later, the Riddler, who had been observing all along, suddenly said, whether out of a whim or a burst of inspiration, "Since your brainwave controller can't control him, could you amplify someone else's brainwaves and then use a human brain to deal with Batman's willpower? Don't forget, what we have in abundance here is people."

After finishing his sentence, the Riddler pointed smugly at himself, as if to say that he was far smarter than Batman and could definitely restrain him and extract information from him.

Shocked by this idea, the Mad Hatter asked the Penguin for a "smart drug" worth $3000.

[Smart Drug] is a type of super-powered drug that can stimulate the brain, reaching the level of a super genius. Whatever one thinks or does, the mind becomes crystal clear. However, this drug has a side effect. Once the effect wears off after 24 hours, the user will fall into a three-day coma! During these three days, the user needs intravenous nutrition to restore their bodily functions to normal; otherwise, they will die.

It's considered one of the more dangerous drugs among LexCorp's products. Aside from mad scientists, no one would use it.

In a sudden burst of inspiration, the Mad Hatter spent an entire day creating the Dream Machine.

The Mad Hatter fell into a deep sleep for three days because the effects of the "smart drug" had worn off.

Therefore, the remaining people need to wait for him to regain consciousness. Then, he, the developer, will explain the machine's operating principles and main functions.

Simply put, it means that one person's brainwaves can be amplified to the maximum, while simultaneously influencing the person being hypnotized, achieving an effect similar to "entering a dream".

Of course, this is the ideal effect. If the person you want to hypnotize has a very strong will, their brainwaves will be very "stable". Once other people's brainwaves collide with it, it's like a bald man striking a bell. Once or twice is fine, but after a few more times, problems will arise, either a mild concussion or permanent intellectual disability.

In other words, as long as there are enough people and one side's brainwaves are strong enough, no matter how strong one's will is, it can't stop them from being outnumbered! Just like a machine gun can't penetrate sheet metal that a rifle can't, it's all about numbers!

However, due to the tight schedule, this product, which lacks both manufacturer and product specifications, cannot be connected to too many consciousnesses, otherwise the internal processor would be extremely prone to overload.

So, there were four people who ventured into Batman's mind.

Because all four of them believed they were no less intelligent than Batman, and their willpower was definitely no weaker than Batman's.

Bain, the Penguin, the Scarecrow, the Riddler.

Four people simultaneously attacked Batman's will, and built a maze around his consciousness, playing a "game":

Batman's consciousness detected the four intruders, so he created four clones to fight them off, operating in a multi-threaded manner.

Bane took Batman to a boxing ring. The maze-like environment was created by them, and they could modify it however they wanted; this boxing ring was Batman's battlefield. They wanted to show this bat, who was always running around in the real world, what true power was!

Batman only had a quarter of his consciousness to fight Bane, but unfortunately, he suffered a crushing defeat.

Realizing that Bane was a tough nut to crack, he divided his consciousness from 1/4 to 2/4, weakening his consciousness in other areas to increase the power and speed of his own consciousness in order to fight against this intruder, Bane.

His actions caused the other three members of the Batman consciousness to always feel that Batman was stupid.

They had a lot of fun, bullying the incredibly stupid bats and feeling a great sense of accomplishment, except for the Riddler.

"Heavy gift crab! You can't even answer such a simple question correctly, are you even Batman? You're making me feel no sense of accomplishment at all!"

The most frustrated one is the Riddler. He wants to compete with Batman in a battle of wits, but now he's clearly lacking in computing power, and even a small problem can leave him stuck for a long time.

There's no sense of accomplishment in that; it's an insult to one's own brain.

The Riddler was fed up; he wanted to kill this stupid, clumsy bat and go find the smartest Batman.

Then I realized I couldn't take him down here. I couldn't kill this stupid bat; I couldn't kill him with a gun, I couldn't kill him with a knife, and even if I tried to ram him with my head, I couldn't beat him.

So the Riddler presented what he considered the most difficult riddle, and let the dim-witted Batman guess it slowly while he went to find the other Batmen.

Passing through the maze walls, I floated up into the air and saw the Scarecrow in a corner, frantically scaring Batman.

The Batman looked like a little kid, and he was trembling with fear at the Scarecrow's lewd laughter.

"How boring! Only a lowly scarecrow would bully children!"

Then, the riddle teller continued his search.

He witnessed an even more outrageous scene in the maze set up by the Penguin.

The foolish penguin is teaching Bruce Wayne how to be a real businessman.

The Riddler had already guessed the Penguin's idea: to implant the idea that businessmen are friends into Batman's mind, and to use this idea to uncover Batman's secrets.

"Idiot, if Batman could really be implanted with a mind imprint, someone would have done it already."

The riddle-maker was referring to the Mad Hatter, who had always wanted to brainwash Batman into becoming his partner. But even the Mad Hatter hadn't expected Batman to resist the machine's brainwashing and even overload it with his willpower—that was simply absurd.

Even the hard-line brainwashing methods failed, so the Penguin's approach of using gentle persuasion is simply a waste of time!

The riddle-maker shook his head and left. He drifted a little further away and saw a fighting arena.

Bane is "setting" Batman's bones, crushing every single bone in Batman's body; the scene is incredibly brutal.

"Why do those two, who seem the least intelligent, appear to be smarter than mine?"

He saw Batman use his willpower to heal and set his bones, and then use his broken body to hit Bane a couple of times.

"Okay, take back what I said earlier, this one doesn't seem very smart either."

Chapter 124 Batman and the Riddler

"Seriously. Watching two muscle idiots fight here is torture! It's an eyesore!"

Frustrated, the riddle solver scratched his head, when suddenly a brilliant idea struck him.

"Hey? Why don't I go deep into his consciousness? It'll be really interesting there, hahaha..."

The Riddler, acting on impulse, traversed the labyrinth of consciousness they had built together, venturing deep into Batman's memories.

………………

Thomas Hospital, a private hospital of the Gotham Wayne Enterprises.

A private hospital was built under the leadership of Thomas Wayne, next to which was a research institute dedicated to developing effective drugs for some terminal illnesses.

It is one of Wayne Enterprises' properties and boasts top-notch medical facilities in Gotham City, with a corresponding inventory of drugs for all kinds of incurable diseases in the world.

This is also the hospital that Batman visits most often, besides the Batcave.

Alfred lay in the sanatorium, needing to rest and recover from his injuries, which required a hundred days to heal.

However, the old butler was not idle. He had broken his leg, which was in a cast, so he only had difficulty moving around. His hands were still normal.

He kept looking at the things he had missed while he was in a coma on the laptop that Dick Grayson had brought.

"Alfred! We've come to see you!"

As soon as Dick Grayson entered, he beckoned inside, snapping Alfred out of his reverie and away from his computer screen.

"Young Master Dick, um? Young Master Ben and Mr. Garfield. What's going on here?"

Tian Xiaoban nodded in greeting, then pointed to himself and Garfield: "Garfield and I just came back from another world, and we ran into Dick as soon as we got back. Also, Afu, what happened to you? Where's Batman?"

Alfred shook his head: "I don't know where Batman is either. I was attacked by a group of superpowered people while investigating the disappearance case. If it weren't for the superpower drugs I was carrying, I might have been killed by those strange superpowers."

That night was a nightmare; all sorts of strange abilities were unleashed on Alfred, all aimed at killing him.

It's a miracle that Alfred survived.

Even with Alfred's 24-hour regenerative superpower, his leg still hadn't recovered; it seemed his healing ability was being blocked by another superpower.

Fortunately, the force that was preventing the self-healing process has now disappeared, and the leg has begun to recover normally.

Alfred wasn't in a hurry to give himself another injection of a healing superpower. He was already in the best hospital, so there was no need to use such a risky drug.

Moreover, the so-called healing superpower wasn't as effective as he imagined. The fact that it could be stopped by someone else using superpowers meant that it had a fatal weakness. He shouldn't be too superstitious about it, or he might end up making a mistake.

Garfield ran onto the bed, releasing a green light from his body. [Aromatherapy] activated, and the surrounding air immediately became fresh.

Those who smelled the fragrance felt their spirits lifted. Alfred could feel his leg, which was in a cast, begin to tingle and itch, but the pain quickly subsided. His thigh regained its health and strength.

In Alfred's mind, the importance of the healing potion diminished once again; the healing ability shown by Garfield was the true cure.

Dick Grayson remarked, "No matter how many times I see it, the healing ability is truly amazing."
