"Ouch!" Ye Buxin clutched her forehead, the blow causing her to snort and her eyes to redden slightly.

"It's good that it hurts." Yang Pingsheng's tone was calm, but carried an undeniable air of authority. "I'm telling you, even if the world is destroyed, you are not allowed to leave this place. If the merger of Taixu can't solve the problem, we'll die together."

Ye Buxin's eyes widened, and she stomped her feet in anger: "How could you be like this?!"

Yang Pingsheng remained unmoved and reached out to grab her wrist: "Shut up, Yang Buxin, come back with me."

Ye Buxin struggled for a moment, but found that she couldn't break free from his grasp at all.

She gritted her teeth, and finally could only give in angrily: "Fine, I'll go back!"

Yang Pingsheng smiled slightly and pulled her toward the house on the mountaintop.

Ye Buxin followed behind him, muttering under her breath, "Honestly, I'm the one with foresight, but you always stop me..."

Yang Pingsheng didn't turn around, but simply gripped her hand tighter: "Good foresight, so farsighted. How come you didn't foresee our falling out in your dream?"

Ye Buxin pursed her lips and didn't refute further.

-------------

Time flows like water, passing by silently.

In this little world they created with their own hands, Ye Buxin gradually let go of her obsession with forbidden techniques.

Since they have already built this world into an impregnable place, and the chaotic energy from the outside world cannot penetrate it, why should she bother to study those complicated spells?

Perhaps because she had spent too much time with Yang Pingsheng, Ye Buxin found herself becoming lazy as well.

My favorite thing to do every day is to snuggle up to Yang Pingsheng, like a lazy cat, enjoying the rare peace and warmth.

Yang Pingsheng liked to lie on the recliner in the yard, while she liked to lie on top of him, listening to his heartbeat and feeling his body temperature.

One sunny day, a gentle breeze was blowing. The two of them lay in the courtyard as usual, enjoying the tranquility.

Yang Pingsheng suddenly spoke, his tone tinged with a hint of mockery: "Bu Xin, can you turn back into your original form?"

Ye Buxin didn't react for a moment, blinked, and asked in confusion, "What?"

Yang Pingsheng smiled and said in a relaxed tone, "It's just that you turn back into your true form and let me experience it."

Ye Buxin was stunned for a moment, then realized what was happening, and her face instantly turned red.

She abruptly sat up from Yang Pingsheng, staring at him with wide eyes, her tone tinged with embarrassment and anger: "You bastard, what do you take me for!?"

She was so angry that she gritted her teeth, raised her hand and bit Yang Pingsheng hard on the shoulder, then stood up angrily and left the yard without looking back.

From that day on, she didn't lie on Yang Pingsheng's body for two days.

-------------

To prevent Ye Buxin from feeling lonely, Yang Pingsheng brought some animals with him when he first arrived in this small world. After being imbued with spiritual energy, these animals transformed into spirit beasts, multiplying and thriving in the vicinity, adding vitality to this world.

Ye Buxin's favorite animal was a spirit dog. In the small courtyard, a snow-white spirit dog was lazily lying at her feet, its tail wagging gently, occasionally glancing up at her with eyes full of dependence and affection.

Ye Buxin squatted down, reached out and stroked the spirit dog's head, a smile unconsciously appearing on her lips.

Yang Pingsheng stood aside, watching Ye Buxin's adorable expression, and asked with some confusion, "You like dogs that much?"

Ye Bu didn't even look up, continuing to stroke the spirit dog's fur, his tone relaxed: "Yeah, is that not allowed?"

Yang Pingsheng scratched his head and suddenly asked, "What about the child?"

"?" Ye Buxin was taken aback, looked up at Yang Pingsheng, his eyes full of doubt.

The topic jumped so quickly that it caught her off guard.

But who could blame them when they were close friends? Ye Buxin quickly realized what was going on and glared at Yang Pingsheng, her tone tinged with displeasure: "Are you an idiot? I'm a monster. Unless you let me use forbidden techniques to change your physical essence to be the same as mine, where would we get a child?"

Yang Pingsheng blinked, his tone tinged with innocence: "Then why isn't it you who changes?"

Ye Buxin snorted coldly, her tone carrying a hint of disdain: "Who wants to be a weak human?"

Upon hearing this, Yang Pingsheng couldn't help but laugh: "Weak? You didn't say that before."

Ye Buxin blushed and kicked him, saying, "Get out of my way! I don't want to see you today!"

Yang Pingsheng was kicked back two steps, but he still smiled brightly. He patted the dust off his clothes and said with a hint of teasing, "Fine, fine, I'll get lost. But if you change your mind, just let me know."

Ye Buxin glared at him, picked up the spirit dog, turned and left, muttering, "Idiot, you lustful fool, I was blind to have chosen you as my confidant."

-------------

An unknown amount of time passed; time seemed to have lost its meaning in this small world. Until one day, the day of the merger of Taixu finally arrived.

The white world shattered under the impact of the chaotic airflow, like paper torn apart by a giant hand. The fragments drifted in the void and were eventually swallowed up.

Of the three chosen ones, two were merely there to make up the numbers, while the remaining one, despite overcoming all obstacles with overwhelming force, ultimately could not prevent the merger of Taixu.

With a one-in-three chance, it ultimately failed to become the hope for saving the world.

Millions of years of planning have failed, and humanity's efforts have come to naught.

Yang Pingsheng and Ye Buxin would look up at the starry sky every night.

The influence of Taixu made the starry sky even more beautiful, with the stars twinkling as if telling a silent farewell.

Ye Buxin nestled in Yang Pingsheng's arms and sighed softly, "Now it's all over, we're really going to die together."

Yang Pingsheng looked down at her, his fingers gently stroking her hair, his tone tender and calm: "Isn't this good?"

They spent a very, very long time together, so long that they seemed to have become a part of each other.

Ye Buxin didn't speak, but rested her head on his chest, listening to his steady heartbeat, as if that could dispel the unease in her heart.

Suddenly, she gave a soft hum, her tone tinged with stubbornness: "Let's build our graves tomorrow."

Yang Pingsheng was slightly taken aback, then smiled: "We will sleep together in life and be buried together in death. You haven't forgotten this promise."

Ye Buxin raised her head and glared at him: "How could I forget? But you, don't be lazy when it comes to building a tomb. Make sure it looks nice."

Yang Pingsheng smiled and nodded: "Okay, I'll do whatever you say."

The next day, the two of them went hand in hand to a mountaintop in the small world.

Here, the view is expansive, offering a panoramic vista of the entire world below and an endless starry sky to gaze upon.

They dug a grave with their own hands, built a tombstone with the most solid spirit stone, and engraved their names on it, the characters neat and elegant.

Ye Buxin stood in front of the grave, looking at the name on the tombstone, and suddenly smiled: "This is for the best, at least we don't have to be separated."

Yang Pingsheng held her hand and whispered, "No matter life or death, we will be together."

Ye Buxin leaned on his shoulder, a hint of relief flashing in her eyes: "Yes, anyway, we've been inseparable for a long time."

She finally received the highest human emotion at this moment.

As night falls, the starry sky remains dazzling.

The two sat side by side in front of the tomb, gazing at the beautiful starry sky, as if waiting for their final moment.

Ye Buxin suddenly spoke up, her tone tinged with a hint of teasing: "Tell me, if we had had a child earlier, wouldn't we still have a companion now?"

Yang Pingsheng laughed: "Isn't it a bit late to talk about this now?"

Ye Buxin pursed her lips: "That's true, anyway, you don't want to become a monster."

Yang Pingsheng looked down at her, his eyes full of tenderness: "No matter what it is, as long as it's you, I'm willing."

Ye Buxin was taken aback for a moment, then laughed: "You're getting better and better at talking."

Under the starry sky, their laughter echoed across the mountaintop.

-------------

"coming."

A beautiful shooting star streaked across the night sky, trailing a long, fiery tail, like the last brilliant ray of light in the world.

Immediately afterwards, a black vortex lit up in the center of the starry sky, slowly spreading and devouring everything around it.

The vortex, like a gaping maw of an abyss, silently absorbed light, stars, and even time and space.

Bump, bump, bump.

Under this irresistible gravitational pull, the small world, like a fragile eggshell, shattered easily.

Mountains, rivers, deserts, rainforests... everything vanished in an instant, swallowed by the endless darkness.

The final moment has finally arrived.

The two lay side by side in the tomb, watching through the opening as the starry sky was gradually replaced by boundless darkness.

Ye Buxin turned her head to look at Yang Pingsheng and asked softly, "It's all over now, don't you have anything to say to me?"

Yang Pingsheng continued to gaze at the gradually disappearing starry sky, his tone calm: "No, it's been so long, everything that needs to be said has been said."

Ye Buxin paused for a moment, then smiled.

Yes, everything that needed to be said had been said. The tacit understanding between them had long transcended words; a single glance or gesture was enough for them to understand each other's hearts.

She gently grasped Yang Pingsheng's hand, feeling the familiar warmth of his touch on her fingertips.

"That's fine then," she said softly, her tone tinged with a sense of relief.

Yang Pingsheng turned his head to look at her, his eyes full of tenderness.

He reached out and gently stroked her cheek, his fingertips lingering on the corner of her lips, as if to etch her smile into his memory forever.

Darkness crept in, swallowing the last glimmer of light. The figures of the two gradually blurred within the tomb, as if trying to merge with the surrounding天地 (heaven and earth).

Ye Buxin closed her eyes, leaned on Yang Pingsheng's shoulder, and whispered, "Actually... I don't regret it at all."

Yang Pingsheng gripped her hand tightly, his voice low and firm: "Me too."

In the final moments, the world fell silent.

-------------

In the darkness, Ye Buxin's voice rang out again.

"Throughout my life, I..."

Her voice was so clear, like the cry of a newborn.

-------------

In the darkness, a faint light seemed to flicker gently.
