Conan, I'm an actor

"Do you remember the search operation that the Japanese police conducted on my safe house and assets?"
“Of course I remember. We lost a lot of outposts and safe houses that time,” Vodka said through gritted teeth. “Those guys seemed pretty muddleheaded, but their sense of smell was incredibly sharp, like dogs.”
"What if I said that it was because of an inside leak?"
"A mole?" Vodka shuddered. "Is it that Kogoro Mouri from earlier? No, if it were him, you would have already shot him dead, boss."
“It wasn’t him.” Gin stared ahead, his index finger tapping rhythmically on the steering wheel. “We need to go back and investigate this. Go check which cases Kogoro Mouri has solved, especially those related to the beverage salesman, Jin Kurosawa.”
“This…” Vodka looked troubled.
Is there a problem?
“That’s the famous detective Kogoro Mouri, he’s solved so many cases.” Vodka looked miserable. “With only these clues, there’s no way to investigate.”
"Then let's investigate slowly. That undercover agent should be in Japan. We won't go to Japan for now; we have plenty of time to investigate..."
Just then, a Viper stopped directly in the middle of the road, blocking their way.
Gin and Vodka exchanged a glance and recognized Chianti's car. They just didn't know what had happened to make Chianti so angry that she had the audacity to stop Gin's car.
However, as soon as Vodka got out of the car, Chianti grabbed him by the collar and punched him.
"Wait..." Before Vodka could react, he was punched solidly and was completely stunned.
Just as Chianti was about to throw another punch, Gin reached out and grabbed Chianti's fist.
"Gin, you!"
“Let’s talk this out. Vodka is my man,” Gin said coldly. “You have no right to lecture him.”
“Calvados is dead, killed by a man-portable missile.” Cohen stared at the vodka and said calmly, “You said those guys in Cognac didn’t have heavy weapons around them.”
Vodka wanted to slap himself. He had indeed said those things to recruit the three men. These three probably hadn't gone to the tavern, otherwise they would have known that the Cognac people had suicide drones.
“This matter is due to our inadequate intelligence work,” Gin said calmly. “I will give Calvados the treatment he deserves, and Vodka will also be punished.”
Chianti was furious, but she knew that this was the most Gin could do. After all, Vodka was his confidant, and there was a difference between close and distant confidants.
"Where did they end up?" Gin asked Cohen.
“They must have escaped from the port area by sea,” Cohen said. “The car radio just reported that a military helicopter crashed; it should be the one that was tracking them. They've probably moved to another location by sea. The rest might…”
“No need to look anymore,” Gin said with a dark face. “We didn’t find any entry records for Cognac before, so I think he must have entered England through other means. Given his personality, if he were to leave, he would definitely flee directly to Japan.”
“But that’s just the estuary, there’s no port.” Vodka asked, somewhat bewildered. “Are they planning to cross the strait and head to Europe? There are many places like that there…”
“Submarines, we might not be the only ones with them,” Gin said with a grim face. “Remember that military exercise near the ocean buoys before?”
They destroyed the ocean buoy, killing several of their men. Their original plan was that since the submarine couldn't get in, they would manually attach explosives and then have someone with an underwater propulsion system dive over.
Who knew that the sonar system on the other side of the ocean buoy was on 24 hours a day. After detecting the sound of the underwater thruster, it directly launched a torpedo at a certain location. By the time the team members saw the torpedo and tried to release the underwater thruster, it was too late. The shock wave from the torpedo explosion killed them instantly.
At the time, Gin was puzzled as to why the facility had such a high level of defense. Later, after capturing several people who had escaped from the ocean buoys, he learned that someone had attacked the facility before they launched their attack, and that the attack was carried out by a submarine.
He might not have known who it was before, but now he could guess who owned that submarine. And the submarine that attacked them was very likely also that guy's.
After learning the truth, Gin calmed down. After all, submarines are not something that ordinary people can handle, so it's intriguing to wonder who and what faction is behind Shinjo.
at the same time
Conan climbed onto the hull of Dolphin 202, crawled inside the submarine, and looked around at the equipment with a curious expression.
“Set a flight path, we’re going to pick up Curaçao,” Shinjo said to Masaaki Okakura in the driver’s seat.
"Shall we go now?" Masaaki Okakura asked with some concern. "The Dolphin 202 has a capacity of six people..."
“The load limit is the load limit.” Shinjo patted Okakura Masaaki on the shoulder. “Overloading occasionally is no big deal, since we’re underwater and no traffic police will come to check you. Besides, you don’t have a license plate or a driver’s license.”
“Um…” Conan looked at Shinjo and asked incredulously, “Are we going to take this submarine back to Japan? I mean, from London to Japan.”
Ordinary ships might refuel and resupply at a port, but submarines are different. A submarine with such an unusual design would cause a sensation no matter which port it resupplyed in.
"Don't worry." Sakata Yusuke placed his hand on Conan's shoulder. "We came here the same way, without any resupply in between."
"This……"
"This submarine is powered by a nuclear reactor. Theoretically, as long as there's enough food on board, it doesn't need refueling." Sakata looked at Shinjo. "Boss, how's the situation? I heard from Stout that you guys got into a fight with that Gin guy?"
“You’ll have to ask Stout about that. I haven’t even seen Gin yet.” Shinjo nodded at Stout. “That guy sent Gin a rocket, and I heard it killed several of Gin’s men.”
"Impressive, no wonder you're a professional agent." Sakata Yusuke looked at Stout with some surprise.
“A sneak attack, a sneak attack, a sneak attack using drones,” Stout said somewhat awkwardly. “And they hit once and ran, without even a direct confrontation. Don’t go around telling anyone, or if Gin thinks I’m too reckless and targets me, that would be troublesome.”
“You were already on his kill list.” Xincheng patted Stout on the shoulder. “There’s nothing to worry about.”
Conan then emerged from the rear hatch. "There's another submarine inside?"
"It's for escape, and it can only seat six people, which is why it has a capacity of six people."
"Now you can tell me, why did you make me leave Japan? What did you do before?" Conan said irritably. "More than a month. Do you know how I spent the past month? I just couldn't stand the terrible food."
Shinjo shrugged and looked at Sakata Yusuke, gesturing for him to explain.
Yusuke Sakata sighed helplessly and began to explain to Conan what they had done in London. Conan almost jumped for joy when he heard that the organization had been completely driven out of Japan and that all the organization members in Japan were "one of their own."
"Don't be too happy yet," Ai said, trying to put him down. "Now that the news of him being a traitor has spread, those people might turn against him in public. Insubordination is ingrained in their very bones."
“Don’t forget, it was Gin who abandoned them first.” Shinjo twirled his chin. “With so little money a month, who would be willing to risk their life?”
Gin had barely left Japan when he and Karen began dealing with the "abandoned" members of the organization. His method was simple: bribery. Thirty percent of the money from selling off assets was used to buy off these people.
Apart from those die-hards who have been caught red-handed by the organization, everyone else has softened their stance or even surrendered.
"Don't get too excited," Ai said, pouring cold water on the idea. "Those you can get your hands on are basically all opportunists."
Xincheng shrugged and leaned back in his chair to catch up on sleep.
Hours later, in the slums of London
Curaçao took out her medical kit and began bandaging herself. A bullet had pierced her right forearm, and the blood had completely soaked through the gauze she had used to bandage it.
The escape was going smoothly until, for some reason, Gin brought over two snipers.
Two snipers were watching from a distance, and she dared not expose herself in open areas. She was then cornered by those guys. Then, an unlucky fellow seized the opportunity and shot her. He was considered unlucky because at the same time she fired, Curaçao also hit her between the eyebrows.
When Curaçao was halfway through bandaging the wound, he suddenly reached for the pistol beside him and aimed it at the stairwell.
"Don't get agitated," a female voice said. "If I wanted to attack you, I would have already done so."
"Who?" Curaçao asked nervously.
Being so close to the enemy was already dangerous enough. If that guy hadn't accidentally made a sound, she might have gotten even closer, and my life would have been in someone else's hands.
“I’m an MI6 agent, investigating the reason for those guys’ increased activity,” the woman said. “Could you put your gun down first?”
"Come out from behind the wall first," Curaçao said coldly.
Not being part of the organization doesn't mean there's no danger; MI6 is an enemy to her too. Many of the things they do in London can fool the police at New Scotland Yard, but they might not be able to hide them from MI6 agents. This guy's presence here might just be to capture her and take her back.
Sera Mary threw the gun on the ground and then walked out from behind the wall with her hands raised.
"What brings you here?" Curaçao asked, staring at Sera Marie.
“I want to ask about my two nieces,” Sera Marie said, staring at Curaçao. “You must be the traitor to the organization, Curaçao. This shouldn’t be a secret to you.”
After meeting Ai and Akemi, Sera Mary began to inquire about her sister's two daughters, but the final clues all led to Japan and the organization.
Akemi Miyano was killed by the organization, while Shiho Miyano mysteriously disappeared, her fate unknown, with little chance of survival.
She guessed that the two sisters had planned for the children to come to Japan. Once they died, they would ask Professor Agasa to bring the children to London to find her and ask her to raise them. However, the two sisters died too quickly and did not explain the specific reasons. In addition, the two children did not recognize their great-aunt, so they refused to live with her.
Chapter 301 Escape (Part 2)
"Is this your problem, or the problem of MI6 behind you?" Curaçao asked, staring at the woman in front of her.
She had seen Sera Mary's file and knew this woman wasn't an enemy, but she hadn't expected Sera Mary to come looking for her because of this. Didn't this woman know how dangerous she was right now?
“It’s a personal problem,” Sera Mary said, pointing at Curaçao. “If you don’t get bandaged soon, you might lose too much blood and faint.”
Curaçao glanced at the weapon Sera Marie had thrown on the ground, then began bandaging it herself. It took her more than ten minutes to finish bandaging it; during this time, Sera Marie tried to help, but Curaçao refused.
“Gin ordered Akemi Miyano's execution. She wanted to take Shiho Miyano away from the organization, which threatened the organization's fundamental interests,” Curaçao said in a low voice. “Gin pretended to agree, then secretly sent someone to kill her. As for Shiho Miyano, after learning of her sister's death, she was deeply dissatisfied with the organization for causing her sister's death, refused to cooperate with the organization, defected, and was then dealt with by the organization's members who dealt with traitors…”
Sera Marie nodded, which basically matched her guess, and then she tossed a key to Curaçao.
"This is……"
“There’s an SUV parked outside. You have fifteen minutes,” Sera Marie said. “Consider these fifteen minutes my thank you gift. After fifteen minutes, someone, whether it’s the organization or MI6, will be after you.”
"Aren't you afraid of offending your colleagues by doing this?"
"Offend them? They won't care."
Curaçao didn't stand on ceremony with Sera Marie. He picked up the keys and headed out the door. Soon he arrived at an SUV, started the engine, and drove off to the designated location.
She hadn't driven far when she heard intense gunfire behind her; it must have been a firefight between MI6 and the organization's guys.
"How did that woman do it? Is she that important in MI6?" Curaçao glanced at the rearview mirror, then stepped on the gas pedal. She needed to use these fifteen minutes to distance herself from the guys behind her.
Not long after, the gunfire from the ruins stopped.
An agent wearing a bulletproof vest walked up to Sera Marie. "Just like before, you don't have anything on you that can prove your identity."
"That was really clean." Sera Mary asked, looking at the agent beside her who was using a laptop to locate her position. "Where is she now?"
"I don't know." The agent seemed bewildered, giving an answer that made Sera Mary faint.
"Didn't you install GPS trackers in the car?"
“Yes, we installed trackers, more than forty of them,” the agent said, sounding somewhat aggrieved. “But three minutes ago, all the signals from these trackers disappeared, as if they had all been turned off.”
"Did you install it in a very conspicuous place?"
"Impossible!" the agent beside him immediately said. "Two of the trackers are installed inside the engine. It's impossible to remove them without opening the cylinder head!"
"Then explain why the signal is gone!" Sera Mary was getting a little frantic.
“That woman’s arm is injured,” the agent said somewhat timidly. “It’s entirely possible that she drove the car into the water, and if it’s submerged, the signal will be lost.”
The truth is—the car really did drive into the water.
Curaçao looked at the water and, after confirming that all traces had been cleared, began walking towards the distant village. Karen had already reported her location to Dolphin 202, so the rescue should be arriving soon.
Just then, the sound of a helicopter came from afar, and Curaçao immediately hid behind a tree.
