This power did not disappear after the card was changed; it only reduced the card's original attributes and talents.

That's why, after drawing the Serpent Demon, Witt didn't hesitate to remove Hagrid and replace him with the Serpent Demon in his lineup.

Even if Hagrid's attributes are stronger, he doesn't care.

The growth potential and ceiling of the Serpent Demon are significantly higher than those of Hagrid.

Equip the Serpent Demon as usual, and switch back to Hagrid in a crisis; there's plenty of time.

However, he certainly wouldn't say these things to Dumbledore.

Without batting an eye, Witt lied, "Ever since I inexplicably turned a cow into a spotted snake, my eyes have become like this."

"Mr. Dumbledore, can magic cure my illness?"

Witt stared wide-eyed at Dumbledore with a hopeful look on his face.

When faced with a question you can't answer, the best approach is to throw the question back at you.

Meeting Witt's expectant gaze, Dumbledore felt a strange sense of guilt.

He had no choice but to explain to Witte.

“Mr. Witt, this is not an illness, but a peculiar magical ability.”

"Magical abilities?" Witt asked curiously. "Are there many people like me at Hogwarts? I shouldn't need to wear colored contact lenses when I go to Hogwarts, right? These things are really uncomfortable to wear."

Every child wants to be different, but doesn't want to be too different. They have to fit into either the big circle or the small circle.

Few people truly enjoy feeling completely alone.

Witte's performance was flawless.

Dumbledore paused for a moment, then gently guided the conversation: "The other students are special, and their situation is different from yours."

"Hogwarts is willing to accept the differences of every student."

"Really?" Witt's face relaxed, and a happy smile appeared on his face.

Colored contact lenses are definitely uncomfortable to wear, and he doesn't want to be wearing them when he goes to Hogwarts.

"Aside from these eyes, have you changed in any other way?" Dumbledore asked thoughtfully.

“Yes,” Witt said honestly. “Besides these eyes, I can also understand the language of snakes. This little green snake is a friend I recently made.”

“He’s much smarter than the other snakes on the farm, and he has some special abilities. Would you like to see him?”

“Magical creatures always have peculiarities, that’s normal.”

Dumbledore could see the magic in the snake; it was clearly a magical creature as well.

It's not surprising that magical creatures can use magic.

Dumbledore didn't pay much attention to Parsleyan, which Witt mentioned. Parsleyan didn't represent evil; it was just a peculiar magical ability.

Just like the magical abilities that some wizards are born with.

This only shows that Witt is a talented person who is worth observing, not that we need to be wary of him.

“Mr. Witt, it’s almost time. We should head to Diagon Alley to buy some school supplies.”

"Of course, the best option is for your grandfather, Mr. York, to go with you. Family is always more considerate than an outsider like me."

"It's already this late?"

Witt glanced outside and asked in a low voice, "Would you like to stay for a meal? My grandfather will be back soon. You know, although I do have some special abilities, it's really hard to believe that I can use magic."

"Not to mention magic schools."

"Sometimes, the words of family members are really not as reliable as those of outsiders."

At this point, Witt was somewhat helpless. Even though he had demonstrated his ability to make playing cards float in mid-air to York, the other party was still skeptical.

They remain wary of magic or magic schools.

He even used his status as an elder to forcibly suppress Victor.

Witte's rigid and stubborn personality left him feeling truly helpless.

Dumbledore glanced at the clock on the wall and smiled, "I'm looking forward to dinner tonight."

“You’re willing to stay?” Witt stood up happily. “Then I’ll have to cook a lot more dishes.”

As he spoke, Victor opened the refrigerator, skillfully selected ingredients, and casually took out a jar of sugar from the drawer.

Witt is now quite skilled at cooking.

It wasn't that Mr. York was deliberately being harsh on him; it's just that the overall level of culinary skills in England is indeed not very good.

York was a native Englishman, so he was naturally used to it.

But Witt couldn't get used to it.

Fish and chips are delicious, but you can't eat them every day.

Even if Victor wanted to find a Chinese restaurant to order takeout, he couldn't. At this time of day, in this remote little place, there wasn't a single Chinese restaurant to be found.

There was no other way but to learn it on my own.

Witt wasn't born with a love for cooking; he was forced into it by circumstances.

Carrying a large bag of vegetables and with a jar of sugar floating behind him, Victor walked into the kitchen right in front of Dumbledore.

Spellcasting without a staff?

Dumbledore looked up and examined it carefully before dismissing the guess.

It's not really spellcasting; it's just a crude technique for using magic.

Even the most basic levitation spell is far more sophisticated than this.

Even so, for a child, Witt's control over magic was quite astonishing.

In Dumbledore's memory, even Voldemort as a child did not have this level of control.

Dumbledore was unaware that Witt was equipped with the card of Hagrid the Yak from birth, giving his body an extra magical power.

As a baby, he had nothing to do all day, and out of boredom, he could only study how to manipulate magic to do all sorts of things.

Eleven-year-old Voldemort was certainly no match for Witt in terms of magical training.

Now that Witt possesses the same talent as his opponent, he is even more adept at manipulating magic.

His demonstrated abilities were naturally far superior to Voldemort's.

Chapter 4 The Dinner and the Return Gifts, The Tales of Beedle the Bard

Witt made no attempt to hide his magical talent; he was destined to attend Hogwarts.

We can't keep our seven years of study a secret forever.

Since it's bound to be exposed anyway, it's better to just show it to Dumbledore openly and honestly.

With his magical manipulation of water to clean all the vegetables, and his ability to light the fire and pour in oil, Victor worked faster than three people combined.

A home kitchen can feel cramped when three people are crammed in, but Witt has no such worries at all when he's alone.

In just half an hour, Witt had already prepared five dishes and a soup.

There was also rice and warmed bread.

Sweet and sour pork ribs, sweet and sour pork, sweet and sour pork with pineapple, steamed pumpkin with honey, plus a bowl of stir-fried cabbage with vinegar.

Finally, serve it with a creamy meatball soup.

A blend of Chinese and Western styles, with elements from both the North and South coexisting.

Just as the food was ready, Witt's grandfather, York, returned home.

York was around seventy years old, with a resolute face sculpted by a knife and axe beneath his white beard. He wore jingling jeans and had a revolver tucked into his waistband.

As soon as he entered, he saw Dumbledore sitting prominently in the room.

"Victor, we have guests today."

Witt, carrying the dishes, introduced, "Professor Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, the same magic school mentioned in the letter delivered by the owl a few days ago."

"Wait a minute." York turned his head, stared at the tea in front of Dumbledore, and asked angrily, "You stole my treasured tea again!"

"It's proper etiquette, Grandpa."

Witt rolled his eyes and said, "Professor Dumbledore is an important and distinguished guest. Didn't you see the terrifying titles in the envelope? Those titles alone are enough to fill a whole table."

“(in a low voice) Besides, I’m going to study there soon, so it’s necessary to curry favor with the principal beforehand.”

"And (turning back to louder), if you don't drink this tea soon, it will go moldy and will only be used to make tea eggs."

"If you dare use my tea to make tea eggs, I'll beat your butt so badly it'll bleed."

York muttered something as he sat down on the sofa, no longer dwelling on the matter of the black tea. He glanced down at the dishes and then asked in confusion.

"They're all sweet. My doctor warned me last week to take care of my teeth and not eat too much sugar."

Despite saying he had a toothache, York quickly filled his bowl with various dishes, as if afraid that Witt would snatch them away at any moment.

"This dish wasn't made for you; you can't eat so much."

Witt instinctively reached out with his chopsticks to take the food back from York's bowl, but York was clearly prepared and didn't give Witt a chance to make a move, waving his hand away to pry Witt's hand off.

"Nonsense, how could the dishes that appear in my house not be made for me?"

“Professor Dumbledore’s teacup is empty. How can you be so rude? Quickly refill the professor’s cup.”

Witt: "I..."

Who's the one who doesn't know manners, you damn grandpa?

Despite his complaints, Witt sat back down, poured Dumbledore a full cup of tea, and gave him a casual reminder.

"Remember to rinse your mouth with warm water after eating, and brush your teeth more often at night."

"Professor Dumbledore, please don't take offense."

"Is this dish to your liking?"

“Quite delicious.” Dumbledore chuckled as he watched the grandfather and grandson banter, his smile growing even more amiable.
