Hogwarts: Me? Fight Voldemort?
Page 52
The next second, Voldemort's soul pierced through two people, and the two of them fell limply to the ground, seemingly dead.
This scene terrified the surrounding Gryffindors, who scattered in all directions in a frenzy, utterly horrified by Voldemort's ghostly presence.
Countless terrifying legends about Voldemort robbed the young wizards of their courage, causing them to rush around like ants on a hot plate.
"Jimmy!" Hermione, who had been accidentally knocked to the ground, cried out urgently as she watched the terrifying remnant of the soul fly towards Jimmy, "It's going to you!"
Jimmy turned around at the sound, and in a panic, pointed his wand at Voldemort's remnant soul, chanting, "Destroy!"
A white, dry, powdery mist covered Voldemort's remnant soul, which let out a silent scream and disappeared into the wall.
Voldemort's escape did not quell the chaos among the crowd; panic had taken hold, and everyone was scrambling to flee. Even those who tried to take charge were to no avail.
Jimmy glanced at Hermione, who had fallen to the ground, and then at the purple robe lying nearby. He limped over to Hermione's side and helped her up. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, go check on Harry."
Hermione was not injured; it was Harry and Draco's condition that was more concerning.
"Okay!" Upon hearing this, Jimmy immediately ran to the purple robe beside the two of them, shook off the dust, and began rummaging through the robe's pockets.
After searching for a moment, he indeed found a pocket in the sleeve of the robe that had been enchanted with a traceless expansion spell. Inside were Quirrell's wand and some miscellaneous items. He didn't look closely, but he figured it must contain money.
Hermione, who had rushed over, raised her hand in exasperation and slapped him hard on the shoulder. "Harry and the others are still lying on the ground. Can't you check on them first?!"
"They're fine, they'll be alright after a while."
Jimmy rolled up Quirrell's robe and took it with him, not minding the garlic smell on it at all.
Just then, Professor McGonagall's reprimanding voice came from above the stairs.
The students who ran out called the professor over. After reaching the deepest part of the checkpoint, Professor McGonagall was startled by the chaotic scene and hurriedly caught George and Fred, who were trying to slip away, and demanded, "What on earth happened here!"
George and Fred exchanged a glance and then explained their experiences in a slightly modified way.
"We discovered that Professor Quirrell is actually a dark wizard, so we gathered everyone together to try and capture him..."
"But after Harry touched Quirrell, he turned to stone and shattered. Then a dark shadow passed through Harry and Quirrell, and they fell unconscious."
Professor McGonagall saw Harry and Draco lying on the ground and, ignoring everyone else, immediately conjured two stretchers and put the two of them on them.
Then she angrily shouted at the little wizards huddled in the corners around her, "Get out of here, and all of you, get out of here! Jimmy? What are you doing here?"
"Good evening, Professor McGonagall!" Jimmy greeted Professor McGonagall with a smile, and casually handed Quirrell's robe to Rocket, who had just arrived.
Her thin lips pressed together in anger. Professor McGonagall waved her wand and placed Jimmy on a newly conjured stretcher. "No, I'm not well at all! Everyone, get out of here!"
All the young wizards fell silent, and under the Dean's imposing presence, they slunk back the way they came.
Before parting, Jimmy didn't forget his spoils. He turned to Hermione, who was lagging behind with the box, and said, "Hermione, help me put this box back in my dorm."
Hermione rolled her eyes at him. Although they lost their Gryffindor points, they had at least done something meaningful together.
They thwarted Quirrell's plot and saved Harry, a happy ending for everyone!
End of Chapter 88
After being taken back to the school infirmary by Professor McGonagall, Jimmy fell asleep from exhaustion and slept until the evening of the next day.
The first person to open their eyes was Hermione, sitting in the sunset, holding a book. Her serene eyes jumped into the pages, as if freezing time.
When Jimmy saw Hermione, he couldn't help but think of her maintaining this posture, the changing light on her face from day to evening outside the window.
The scene, though relatively still, inspired in him an imagination that transcended the present moment.
Hermione is very charming now, like the most suitable ornament in a comfortable scene, coexisting harmoniously with everything.
The only thing Jimmy wasn't happy about was the book in Hermione's hand; it was a bit of an eyesore. "Hermione, reading Lockhart's books will make you stupid!"
"nonsense!"
Hermione had already noticed that Jimmy was awake, but she was so engrossed in the story in the book that she didn't pay any attention.
Upon hearing Jimmy's words, she excitedly showed him the book's cover.
"This is a book that Lavender recommended to me. Let me tell you, Lockhart is absolutely amazing!"
"Walking with Trolls" is the best novel I've ever read in the wizarding world. It's like truly stepping into a romantic adventure. I will buy Lockhart's other biographies; they will help me understand the wizarding world even better!
The flamboyant man on the cover winks at Jimmy, who is in a hospital bed, making him roll his eyes.
Jimmy had previously read Lockhart's books out of curiosity; they were adequate as novels but exaggerated as biographies.
There were many descriptions in it that he found cheesy, like the kind of things Jacob said when he confessed his feelings to Christine. What he couldn't understand was that many witches fell for this kind of thing, even a little witch like Hermione.
Let her watch if she wants; barring any unforeseen circumstances, she'll find out what Lockhart is like next semester.
Jimmy propped himself up and stretched his stiff body. He suddenly caught a glimpse of a letter on the bedside table, picked it up and saw that it was for him.
There were three letters: one from the Ministry of Magic, one from the Daily Prophet, and the other from old Bitden.
Jimmy first opened the letter Dumbledore had sent, which said that on July 1st, he would pick Jimmy up from the Leaky Cauldron to attend the annual Jazz Merlin Awards party, and reminded him that he didn't need to bring a dance partner.
Hey, I'm going to bring it anyway!
After reading the letter, Jimmy pulled out the Ministry of Magic's letter and opened it. Inside was an invitation to receive an award. He had been awarded the Order of Merlin, First Class, and was invited to collect the award. There was only the medal, no monetary reward.
This is an award of honor; even someone like Lockhart can get a Level 3, so the prestige of this award is really just so-so.
Moreover, the Sir Merlin Order is merely a neutral British organization, which doesn't add much international influence to Jimmy's career.
The invention of the memory restoration spell has already made him famous enough in his home country. Now he is pursuing international fame so that he can expand his business all over the world.
Something is better than nothing...
The third letter from the Daily Prophet was simply an invitation, inviting Jimmy to the Daily Prophet headquarters for a feature interview, and asking him to reply if he agreed.
Jimmy picked up his wand and wrote a reply directly on the back of the letter, requesting the Daily Prophet to pay an invitation fee of 500 Galleons, which would be delivered to the Owl's Hut later.
Besides the letters, there was also an oil paper bag on the bedside table that smelled of food. Hermione pointed to the bag and said, "That's the food I brought for you. If it's not enough, I have some snacks too."
Jimmy was deeply moved and gazed affectionately at Hermione's trembling eyelashes, saying, "Hermione, you're so good to me! Just like a mother."
She chuckled a few times, but didn't answer, continuing to look at the book with the eyesore cover.
People can't stay idle forever. Jimmy got out of bed, grabbed a paper bag, and started eating and circling around the school clinic.
Harry and Draco, who had been pierced by Voldemort's soul, were lying on two separate hospital beds. There was a trolley full of snacks in front of Harry's bed, and there was one on Draco's bed next to him; they were probably placed there by Gryffindor students.
I feel that putting the two of them in the same bed would be more harmonious.
Jimmy looked back at his hospital bed. The foot of the bed was clean and empty of snacks. He figured there should be snacks there, so he asked Hermione, "Has no one brought me any snacks?"
“You were eaten by a rocket. They all know you don’t like sweets, and you were just asleep.” Hermione’s answer was concise and irrefutable.
Snacks in the wizarding world are generally sweet, which he doesn't really like.
Jimmy returned to the bedside and sat down next to Hermione, asking, "By the way, what's the next step?"
When something like this happens at a school, shouldn't the school give the students and parents an explanation?
Besides, so many young wizards saw it, what excuse does Dumbledore have to make?
Harry's shout of "Voldemort!" was so powerful and energetic; Harry Potter truly embodied the spirit of a newborn calf!
Jimmy, who always seemed to have a lot of problems around him, made Hermione unable to continue reading her book, so she started telling her about what had happened during the day.
First and foremost, the Gryffindor Cup points, which they had finally managed to reach first place, would be wiped out. Professor McGonagall would not let the matter of the group night out go by the excuse of some extenuating circumstances.
Hermione described breakfast as a time when all three houses were happy: Slytherin was in first place, Hufflepuff was no longer at the bottom, and Ravenclaw's ranking had improved.
Next came Professor McGonagall's punishment: all the young wizards who participated in the night tour were required to thoroughly clean the Great Hall and the Prize Room.
Finally, regarding the definition of what happened last night, the evil dark wizard Quirrell attempted to steal Dumbledore's secret treasure, but his plot was foiled.
There was no further explanation. Jimmy estimated that Dumbledore would only give a relatively satisfactory answer at the homecoming banquet.
"Professor McGonagall also asked Oliverwood and his team not to talk about the Mysterios, as she believed it would cause panic."
"it's a pity."
Jimmy shook his head in disappointment. If word got out, the property prices in Diagon Alley might drop because of Voldemort's activities.
Just then, a light footstep sounded outside the school clinic, and Mrs. Pomfrey returned from outside carrying a box.
When she saw Jimmy and Hermione, she urged them, "Now that you're awake, go back. Don't disturb the patients resting here."
The two then packed their things and left the school clinic.
Walking down the corridor, Jimmy suddenly slapped his forehead. He remembered something and hurriedly asked Hermione, "Hermione, where's Norbert? Was it taken away?"
Hermione, as if she had just remembered, said, "I almost forgot, Mr. Scamander came around noon. He put Norber in a trunk and took him away. He also told me to tell you that if you want to see Norber, you can write to him anytime, and Norber will be sent to the Norwegian forest."
She reached into her pocket and pulled out a photograph.
Jimmy took the photo and examined it. The main subject was Norbert, next to Norbert's dragon head was a grinning Hagrid, below him was an old man with a white beard wearing a suit, and next to the old man were Hermione, Neville, Ron, George, Fred, and Rocket.
Hermione boasted, "Mr. Scamander even signed my copy of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,' and he also said his grandson will be enrolling at Hogwarts this September."
"Then, second grade must be really interesting."
Jimmy, however, thought of someone else, Luna Lovegood, and the magazine run by Luna's father, and decided to go against the grain.
Singing a different tune is quite something, because it often publishes gossip about celebrities and all sorts of baseless rumors, it has a loyal following, and its sales are even higher than the Daily Prophet. It's loved by men, women, young and old.
He needs to find a way to advertise on Singing the Divergent for free!
Chapter 89 The Last Supper
Harry and Draco's coma caused them to miss the Quidditch final, a year that Gryffindor had the best chance of winning, all because of Harry's coma.
Professor McGonagall was in a bad mood; although she didn't lose her temper easily, she didn't look friendly either.
The two in the school infirmary woke up one after the other a few days before the holiday. Draco was the first to wake up, and the first thing he did was write a letter home to tell old Malfoy and Narcissa Malfoy everything he had experienced.
Next was Harry, who woke up to find Dumbledore, whom Jimmy couldn't see.
Jimmy had tried to find Dumbledore many times, wanting to ask him for some compensation, but he couldn't find him until the last night of the school year.
Tonight is the most sumptuous meal in Hogwarts Dining Hall except for holidays. The table is full of exquisite food, and the greedy little wizards have already drooled. But the Gryffindors seem sullen.
The entire Great Hall was decorated with lush green ribbons, and on the last night before the holidays, which was also the time for the annual House Cup awards ceremony, it was all decorated in Slytherin style.
Headmaster Dumbledore, who had not appeared for many days, appeared in the Great Hall, wearing a wide, silver-white robe that matched his gray beard perfectly. His crooked pointed wizard hat and nose were tilted to the same direction.
