Superman, Broken Bat, and others were forced to lead the surviving humans in a search for new hope.

Right now, in Gotham City.

After several days of reconstruction, Gotham City has returned to its former appearance.

But those who died can never come back.

Furthermore, the world's population has dwindled to only tens of millions due to the massive slaughter by the Parademon army.

After Superman traveled all over the world searching for survivors, most of them have gathered in Gotham City.

Furthermore, Superman, Broken Bat, and others built a cemetery in Gotham's East Side to commemorate those who died after Darkseid's attack.

Bruce Wayne, with his white hair and beard, stood before the tombstones of Alfred, Jason, Tim, and others.

The scene of him being defeated by Bane thirty years ago flashed through his mind.

It was from that time that he found Jean Paul.

Let this angel of death do the work of a superhero for him.

What happened next was beyond his expectations, and Gotham City was ruled by that guy for thirty years.

After finally being rescued and killing the Angel of Death, they encountered the Darkseid invasion of Earth.

Countless people lost their lives.

The world's population is now mostly concentrated in Gotham City.

Most of the superhumans have also come to this city.

Whether they are criminals or superheroes.

In short, Gotham's waters have become murky, and it's no longer the Gotham of the past.

It's no longer the Gotham he used to know.

Many criminals and superheroes made him feel somewhat troubled.

Even though the Broken Bat now possesses the superpower of magnetic field rotation, and has even managed to grow new arms and legs thanks to this powerful superpower.

But he still felt somewhat overwhelmed by the increasingly murky situation in Gotham.

The water here is really deep.

"What should we do next?" Old Barry stared blankly at his surroundings.

This is a huge cemetery, with many tombstones, some nameless and some famous, standing on the ground.

Many people around were weeping, mourning those who died at the hands of the Parademon army.

"We must maintain order in this city. It's our only city left," the Broken Bat said firmly, regaining his senses.

"Will it work?" Old Barry asked somewhat nervously.

He always felt that Darkseid would come back again.

What should they do if the enemy leads a large army to this world again?

Relying on Superman isn't impossible, but they can't rely solely on Superman.

If we only rely on Superman, then what's the point of all these superheroes?

"It can be done!" A determined look flashed in the bat's eyes.

This is his Gotham, and he is the son of Gotham.

The city has grown alongside him, and he will never allow such a city to become worse.

This is the only city left for humanity on this planet!

Night fell quickly.

Although the Court of Owls was dismantled by the Order of the Angels of Death more than a decade ago, Gotham remains a rainy city.

The drizzling rain fell from the sky, carrying a chilling aura that seeped into one's bones.

In the pitch-black night, figures resembling bats flitted across the rooftops.

The alley below was filled with people dressed in strange clothes.

"Tsk, riddle teller, what exactly are you trying to do?"

The elderly Two-Face looked at the Riddler in front of him, who was wearing a green suit and a green top hat, and frowned slightly.

He should have been hiding at this time to prevent the superheroes from capturing him.

But it turned out that he and the other supervillains all received invitations from the Riddler.

Just in case, they all rushed over.

During this special period, these super criminals rarely show their faces, let alone commit crimes.

With only tens of millions of people left in the world, Superman and those superheroes have gone mad.

If they found out that we were planning something big, they would definitely kill us all without leaving any survivors.

“If you’re planning to destroy this city, I advise you to give up on that idea. Superman and Wonder Woman are in this city too. He can hear us even when we’re whispering.” The short Mad Hatter still had a look of surprise on his face.

One of his companions was captured by Broken Bat for planning to blow up farmland outside Gotham City, and then disappeared.

Those guys are far too brutal; they've gone to madness in their pursuit of humanity's survival.

If there's even the slightest hint of wanting to destroy this city, those superheroes will definitely grab you by the head and deal with the problem, and incidentally, you too.

"Don't worry, what we're doing is also about continuing humanity."

The riddle teller spoke mysteriously to the crowd.

"With this, we will be able to travel to other worlds, find those surviving planets, and thus continue the existence of humanity."

The riddle teller then pulled out a perfectly round, golden sphere.

It looks like a technological relic shaped like a golden skull.

It resembles a golden skull held in one's hand, with what appears to be a third eye in the center of its forehead.

What is this?

Two-Face and the other supervillains were somewhat surprised by what the Riddler had pulled out.

"This doesn't look like anything from Earth. Could it be a technological relic left behind by those alien invaders?" Killer Crocodile scratched his somewhat pointed head and guessed.

"No, no, no." The Riddler held the golden skull in his hand, a slight smile on his face.

"This thing is called Pandora's Box. Its only purpose is to open a portal to other worlds."

"Other worlds?" Everyone was surprised.

Even the broken bat hiding in the shadows and Superman, who was already flying in mid-air, were stunned.

Is there really something that allows travel to other worlds?

The broken bat couldn't help but have this thought in mind.

Images of Superpower and the Crime Syndicate flashed through his mind.

Those guys left this world through someone's superpowers.

Of course, this includes Lex Luthor and Bizarro, among others.

Perhaps there really is such a magical item that connects to other worlds?

Thinking this, the Broken Bat suddenly noticed two figures appear beside him.

Superman and Wonder Woman.

"You're interested in this too?" He raised an eyebrow and asked in surprise.

“No, we’re just like you, we’ve come to see what these guys are up to,” Superman said in a low voice.

Their position was about several dozen meters away from the supervillains, so their whispers wouldn't carry over.

"If you can go to another world, why did you gather us together in the first place?"

"Wouldn't it be better to travel to other worlds alone?" The old killer crocodile looked at the white-haired old man in front of him.

This is the riddle of the Broken Bat universe.

After thirty years of vicissitudes, he is no longer the same as before.

His face was covered with wrinkles, and even his back was slightly hunched.

Only the large question mark on his clothes revealed his identity.

“Although I, the Riddler, was a criminal before, now that humanity is in danger of extinction, I naturally cannot selfishly go alone.”

The riddle-maker, looking every bit the gentleman, extended the hand holding the golden skull.

"Gentlemen, the hope for the survival of humanity rests in my hands. Who will go forward, and who will stay?"

His eyes swept over the many notorious criminals in front of him, many of whom were notorious criminals of the past thirty years, as well as quite a few rising stars of the past thirty years.

But now, as supervillains, they naturally know that in the only remaining city in the world, if they dare to continue their large-scale criminal activities, the superheroes will surely wipe them all out.

What? You mean the government?

What has Darkseid done to the whole world?

Where is the government now?

There are only superhero regimes now!

The supervillains exchanged glances, all noticing the wariness in the others' eyes.

Logically speaking, no supervillain would give up his chance to travel to other worlds to so many people.

And the words of the riddle teller cannot necessarily be trusted.

They're all supervillains, and they can basically guess exactly what these villains are going to do.

If a villain claimed he would turn over a new leaf and offer you the chance to save humanity, would you believe him?

If it were Superman, he definitely would.

But they're not superheroes, so it's only right that they remain vigilant.

After a moment of silence, a deep, old man's voice rang out from the alley.
