Frilian looked in the direction Xia Mi had left and said softly, "Her brother was a very gentle person."

"Yes, although he lacks intelligence, he loves his younger sister very much."

Frillie picked up a fallen leaf from the ground. "I hope everything goes well for her and her brother."

Chapter 36 Subway Adventure

Lu Mingfei stood in the courtyard, holding a can of iced cola in his hand, sweat still streaming down his forehead.

"Senior Brother Lu! You've stolen my Coke again!" Xia Mi's voice came from not far away, accompanied by the clattering sound of slippers.

Lu Mingfei hurriedly hid the Coke can behind his back, "N-no, this is mine!"

Xia Mi rushed up to him, hands on her hips, "Liar! There are marks on the bottom of the can, you habitual cola thief!"

Lu Mingfei chuckled and handed the Coke back. "I only took one sip. Do you want more?"

"One sip? It's almost empty!" Xia Mi snatched the can of cola angrily, tilted her head back and poured the last bit of cola into her mouth, then sighed contentedly, "Ah, iced cola is definitely the best in summer!"

Lu Mingfei looked at Xia Mi's fair neck, which was exposed when she looked up, and couldn't help but swallow.

Xia Mi is his and Frilian's "prospective junior," and she will enroll in Kassel after the holidays.

Lively and cheerful, with a sweet appearance, she gets 200% attention on campus; she's a treasure girl who can be both sweet and sophisticated.

“You two are arguing again,” Frillie said, yawning. Today she was wearing a simple white T-shirt and denim shorts.

Xia Mi said that young girls all dress like this, and even lent her own clothes to Frilian, since they were about the same size.

"Sister Frilian! Senior Brother Lu has stolen my cola again!" Xia Mi immediately complained.

Frillie tilted her head slightly. "Cola? Dark, sweetened sparkling water, the kind that makes you fat?"

"Yes, yes, yes! It's super delicious! You don't need to say the second half." Xia Mi nodded vigorously.

Lu Mingfei scratched his head. "I'll go to the supermarket and buy a few cans."

"That's more like it!" Xia Mi's eyes lit up, and she grinned mischievously. "But just buying Coke isn't enough. You have to promise me something."

Lu Mingfei instinctively took a half step back. "W-what is it?"

Xia Mi smiled mysteriously, took out three subway tickets from her pocket, and handed them to Lu Mingfei and Frilian. "Tonight, come with me on an adventure!"

"An adventure?" Lu Mingfei took the subway ticket, which had the words "Dilong Station" printed on it.

"I heard there's an abandoned tunnel behind Dilong Station on Beijing Subway Line 1," Xia Mi said excitedly. "I've wanted to go see it for a long time, but I was a little scared to go alone. Now that you guys are with me, it's perfect!"

Lu Mingfei was drenched in sweat. An abandoned subway tunnel? That sounded like the opening scene of a horror movie!

He looked to Frilian for help, hoping that this calm and rational elf girl could stop Xia Mi's crazy plan.

Frillie nodded slightly. "Yes, I'm also very interested in the subway."

"See! Even Sister Frillian agreed!" Xia Mi cheered. "The minority must obey the majority, Senior Brother Lu, you can't refuse!"

Lu Mingfei opened his mouth and managed to squeeze out a weak "Okay".

As night fell, the three stood at the exit of Dilong subway station.

The last train has departed, the lights are dimming, and staff are conducting a station closing inspection.

"How do we get in?" Lu Mingfei asked in a low voice, feeling like a thief about to do something bad.

Xia Mi chuckled and pulled a work ID from her backpack. "I have a friend who works at the subway, so I borrowed this temporary pass."

Frillie looked at the documents and frowned slightly. "Forged documents."

"This isn't a fake! It's real! It's just, uh, I'm just borrowing it for now," Xia Mi stuck out her tongue. "Let's go, before anyone notices!"

The three of them passed through the staff entrance smoothly and walked along the dimly lit corridor deeper into the platform.

Lu Mingfei's heart was beating faster and faster; he felt as if something in the darkness was watching them.

“This is it!” Xia Mi stopped in front of an iron gate marked “Equipment Room - No Unauthorized Personnel Allowed” and took a key out of her pocket. “My friend said that behind this door is an abandoned tunnel.”

Lu Mingfei swallowed hard. "Xia Mi, are you sure this is safe?"

"What's there to be afraid of!" Xia Mi opened the door. "With Sister Frilian here, we're not afraid of any demons or monsters!"

Frillie didn't answer, instead touching the wand in her pocket.

Behind the door was a downward staircase, rusty and making a creaking sound when you stepped on it.

"Wow, this feels amazing!" Xia Mi excitedly turned on her flashlight, the beam drawing a bright streak in the dark tunnel. "It's said that this tunnel was built in the 1960s, but it was abandoned due to geological problems. However, there have always been rumors that supernatural phenomena have occurred here!"

Following behind the two girls, Lu Mingfei felt like a "Tang Sanzang" who had been kidnapped by a female demon.

The tunnel walls were covered with strange symbols.

“These symbols,” Frillian stopped and touched the wall, “a bit like dragon script?”

In the classroom at Kassel College, the teacher taught Longwen.

“Xia Mi, I think we should go back,” Lu Mingfei said, trembling slightly. “Something doesn’t feel right here.”

"Don't be such a coward!" Xia Mi said dismissively, continuing forward. "Look, there seems to be a fork in the road ahead!"

A low growl echoed from deep within the tunnel, causing the ground to tremble slightly.

"Did you hear that?" Lu Mingfei asked.

Frillie took out her wand. "Hmm."

"Ah, ah," Xia Mi froze on the spot, her flashlight shining on the fork in the road ahead.

A dark shadow slowly crawled out of the wall.

"What is this?" Xia Mi asked, showing a hint of panic for the first time.

The shadowy figure appeared as a distorted humanoid shape, with its head seemingly stretched out, its mouth splitting to its ears, revealing white teeth.

“Deadpool!” Lu Mingfei blurted out. This was the form of a hybrid after its fall from grace. He had seen it in the documents from the Executive Department, but what he saw in person was a hundred times more terrifying than what he had seen in pictures.

"Roar!" Deadpool roared.

"Run!" Lu Mingfei grabbed the two girls' hands, one on each side, and turned to run away.

Frillie broke free from his grasp, stepped forward, raised her wand, and a dazzling green light burst from the tip, forming a barrier that blocked Deadpool's attack.

Deadpool crashed into the light barrier, puzzled as to why he couldn't break through it, and tried to tear at the magical barrier with his sharp claws.

“I can’t hold on much longer,” Frillie said. “The magic in this world is too thin.”

Xia Mi's face turned pale. "Senior Brother Lu, what should we do?"

"Crack!" Cracks began to appear in the barrier.

"I'll have to write a report afterward," Lu Mingfei sighed. "Time zero."

As the domain expanded, the flow of time slowed down. Lu Mingfei aimed a powerful Iron Mountain Strike at Deadpool's vital points. He had been learning Bajiquan from Chu Zihang for a year and had almost mastered the basics.

Deadpool let out a scream, his body twisted, and he disintegrated into black particles and vanished.

The tunnel fell silent again, save for Lu Mingfei's rapid breathing.

"Senior Brother Lu is so reliable!" Xia Mi jumped up and grabbed Lu Mingfei's shoulder. "No wonder he's an S-rank talent that the academy sees only once in a century!"

“It’s time to go back.” Frillian gripped her wand warily. “That was just a lone Deadpool. Soon more Deadpools will notice us.”

The three of them retraced their steps, climbed down the stairs, and returned to the equipment room.

Lu Mingfei breathed a sigh of relief. "I've reported this to the academy."

Chapter 37 Deadpool

"We found Deadpool in the abandoned tunnel," Lu Mingfei said via video call on his laptop.

Angers narrowed his eyes and tapped his fingers lightly on the table. "Tell me more."

“Black liquid seeped from the tunnel walls,” Lu Mingfei swallowed, “and then Deadpool crawled out of the wall.”

"The exact location?"

"Walk about 300 meters into Dilong Station."

Angers leaned back in his chair. "Lu Mingfei, you, Frilian, and Xia Mi can continue your vacation. The Executive Department will send someone to handle this matter."

As the video ended, Angers picked up his teacup; the black tea inside had gone cold.

"Deadpool appearing in an abandoned subway tunnel is not good news."

“The best outcome is that the three of them are safe and sound,” Flamel said, stroking the stubble on his chin.

"What do you think is going on?" Angers stood up, walked to the window, and looked at the students coming and going on campus. "Frilian, an A-rank student, Lu Mingfei, an S-rank student, and Xia Mi, also an A-rank student, just happened to discover Deadpool?"

Flamel took a swig of whiskey: "Someone lured them there and found Deadpool."

The atmosphere in the executive department's meeting room was tense.

"We must organize a team and head to BJ immediately!" Snyder said urgently. "Deadpool appearing in a densely populated city is dangerous!"

Manstein adjusted his glasses: "Acting rashly might alert them. Lu Mingfei's report indicates that there might be Nibelungen there."

"Mingfei did a great job!" Guderian exclaimed excitedly, waving his arms so much he almost knocked over his coffee cup. "Look at his Time Zero! How powerful! I told you he was a genius!"

Schneider gave him a cold look: "The first thing you think of as a genius is running away with two girls."

"Those who understand the times are the heroes!" Guderian retorted.

Manstein sighed. "Shouldn't we focus on the important things first? What does the appearance of Deadpool in the abandoned subway mean? Who's behind it all?"

The meeting room door was pushed open, and Angers and Flamel walked in.

"Gentlemen," Angers began, "the Academy will send a small team to Beijing, while Lu Mingfei and the other two will continue their vacation."

“Principal!” Manstein stood up.

Angers gestured for him to sit down: "Deadpool's appearance is no accident. If the mastermind sees them continuing their vacation as if nothing happened..."

“They’ll let their guard down,” Flamel continued. “With Frilian and Lu Mingfei around, ordinary people are no match for them.”

Guderian's eyes lit up: "I knew it! Mingfei was born to be a hero!"

Manstein rubbed his temples in exasperation: "Guderian, shut up."
