Fingel and Percy snapped out of their daze and shifted their attention from the divine sword to the shadow in his pajamas.

Compared to artifacts that appear out of thin air, the existence that can casually bestow such power upon others is a more terrifying unknown.

The shadow chuckled softly, took two steps forward, and reached out to touch the dark figure's face, but withdrew its hand halfway.

"You're still so beautiful. Seize this opportunity, don't let the person you like slip away." After saying this inexplicable sentence, the shadow's body became transparent and disappeared completely within seconds.

Without any fancy special effects or spatial fluctuations, he simply "did not exist".

The shadowy figure froze in place, and the area around its body briefly became disordered.

But her fighting instincts quickly brought the shadowy figure back to her senses. She raised her head, her golden vertical pupils locking onto Mai Shude. "Even with those two swords, you're still just an infant who has just gained power!"

The domain erupted, and the pitch-black mist instantly filled half of the Annihilation Well. Countless metal fragments within the mist coalesced into sharp spears, piercing towards Jiu De Mai from all directions.

Jiude Mai held two swords crossed in front of her chest.

The crimson blade of "Ten-Yu-Habakiri" emitted a dazzling light, like a rising sun, and wherever the light reached, the black mist melted away like spring snow.

At the same time, she slammed the "Futsu-no-Mitama" into the ground, and an invisible barrier unfolded, deflecting all the metal spears.

"Beautiful!" Fingel couldn't help but whistle, before Percy grabbed him by the collar and dragged him backward.

It would be nearly impossible for Percy to escape alone; he would have to take this monster with him on the run.

“Idiot, do you want to die?” Percy hissed, staring at the center of the battlefield.

The shockwaves from the collision of the two realms have begun to tear apart the Well of Oblivion, and boulders on the ceiling are falling continuously.

Mai Shude moved. "Heavenly Feather Slash" drew a crimson arc as she charged towards the shadowy figure like an arrow released from a bow.

Its speed was so great that it left a series of afterimages behind it. The dark figure reformed the metal fragments, and a giant scythe appeared in its hand.

"Clang!"

The crimson longsword clashed with the jet-black scythe, sparks flying. The shockwave spread, ripping up the ground within a thirty-meter radius.

Using the momentum, Mai Shude leaped backward, and in mid-air, "Futsu no Mitama" swept across, unleashing a crescent-shaped black sword aura.

The shadowy scythe cleaved vertically, splitting the sword energy in two. But the split sword energy still exploded on both sides of her, forcing her back several steps.

"Tsk!" The shadowy figure gripped the scythe with both hands, spun around, and unleashed three intersecting black energy blades.

Jiu Demai wielded her twin swords, creating a curtain of light to deflect the air blades.

But the shadowy figure seized the opportunity to rush to extremely close range, its scythe aimed straight for the throat!

As Mai leaned back, "Heavenly Feather Slash" slashed upwards, leaving a bloody gash on the black figure's chest.

The shadowy figure staggered back in pain, and Mai Shude performed a backflip to create distance.

The two faced off briefly, and in that moment of silence, the Well of Oblivion groaned as it shattered under the strain.

Huge cracks spread across the wall, like a spider web.

Fingel spat out the dust in his mouth, patted Percy on the shoulder, and said, "Hey, man in the suit, I think we should head back."

Percy glanced around. "The main entrance is blocked. Use the emergency exit."

"Where is the emergency exit?" Fingel asked, his eyes wide.

Percy pointed to the side where a ventilation duct was collapsing. "Go out from there and head straight to the surface."

"You call this a passageway?" Fingel asked, watching the concrete blocks continue to fall. "This is clearly a meat grinder!"

Another shockwave struck, this time directly collapsing the wall behind the two.

Percy stopped wasting words and grabbed Fingel's wrist. "No time to lose, stick close to me!"

He softly recited the dragon script, and the barrier unfolded around the two of them.

The Word of Power: The Dustless Land, a realm that can repel all impurities, became their only shield.

"go!"

The two rushed down into the ventilation duct, and along the way, the "dust-free place" deflected all the falling debris.

However, maintaining such precise control of the Word of Power is extremely taxing on both physical and mental strength, and Percy was about to give up.

Fingel took a deep breath, and all his muscles swelled up again.

The Word of Power: Bronze Throne was activated a second time. He hoisted Percy onto his shoulder and charged toward the target like a human tank.

"Hurry up, Gattuso family!"

Percy nearly bit his tongue, but he didn't care about appearances. He focused all his energy on maintaining the "dust-free zone" while giving directions, "Turn left! Jump over that crevice!"

Fingel leaped across the three-meter-wide crack with ease, but the moment he landed, a concrete block the size of a car crashed down on him.

Parsi's dust-free land has reached its limit, and cracks have appeared in the barrier.

"Open up!" Fingel roared, throwing his right fist upwards.

The fist, empowered by the bronze throne, collided head-on with the concrete block, shattering the block into pieces.

"The ventilation shaft is right there, ten meters ahead!"

Fingel looked in the direction indicated and his heart sank. The so-called ventilation shaft was located on a 15-meter-high wall, less than a meter in diameter, and was collapsing at a visible speed.

"Are you sure this leads to the surface?" Fingel asked, panting heavily.

“The ventilation systems in all the underground facilities of the academy run directly to the surface,” Percy said weakly. “Send me up, and I can open it.”

Fingel grinned. "Then I'll trust you one more time."

He half-squatted down and crossed his hands to make a footrest.

Without hesitation, Percy stepped on it and, with Fingel's full effort, was thrown towards the vent.

In mid-air, Percy pulled an alchemical bomb from his suit pocket and threw it onto the cover of the vent.

Amid the explosion, the passageway was nearly doubled in size.

"Now!" Percy shouted, grabbing the edge of the passageway with one hand.

Fingel took a few steps back, then leaped high into the air after a running start. Just as he was about to grab Percy's outstretched hand, the entire Oblivion Well trembled violently, and a massive crack spread out from beneath his feet.

"Watch out!" Percy shouted.

Fingel was unable to gain any leverage in the air and was about to fall into the abyss.

Percy released his grip on the edge and plummeted downwards, grabbing Fingel's wrist in the process.

"Are you crazy?" Fingel asked, his eyes wide.

Percy did not answer, but instead pulled a thin rope from his waist and swung it toward the ventilation duct.

The grappling hook caught on a protrusion inside the pipe, stopping the two men's descent.

“Climb up!” Percy gritted his teeth, his arms trembling from the exertion.

Without further ado, Fingel, with Percy's support, grabbed the rope and began to climb.

After entering the passage, he turned around and pulled Percy up as well.

The two slumped down in the narrow passage, panting heavily.

Below, the Annihilation Well collapsed completely, and the shockwaves and residual force of sword energy occasionally swept past the entrance of the passage.

A storm of fire and electricity raged, alarms blared throughout the Kassel College, the earth trembled, water pipes burst, and buildings teetered on the brink of collapse.

Fingel and Percy listened silently to the sounds of battle coming from below, sounds that were beyond human comprehension.

Then the two went their separate ways, without even having time to say goodbye.

Chapter 104 The Disappearance of Zhao Menghua (Part 1)

While the Kassel College was engulfed in the fierce battle between Mai and the shadowy figure, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Warning issued a warning of a magnitude 2 earthquake thousands of miles away.

Apart from office workers in high-rise buildings who are overwhelmed by work and occasionally feel the slight shaking of their desks and chairs, everyone else subconsciously ignored the earthquake.

In this city, similar small earthquakes occur every day, but they are not enough to attract people's attention.

No one connected this earthquake with the events that had occurred at Kassel College, thousands of miles away.

Inside the subway, the bright lights suddenly went out with a "snap," plunging the entire carriage into darkness.

The passengers gasped in surprise, but the lights quickly returned to normal.

An announcement came over the loudspeaker: "Passengers, this was just an unexpected power outage. Please remain calm and keep order."

Zhao Menghua rubbed his temples, the hangover making him feel dizzy and lightheaded. The lights in the subway car flickered, making his eyes sting.

He looked up at the display screen inside the carriage, which showed that the train was heading towards Zhongguancun.

Looking back on yesterday, he went to visit a friend and got completely drunk. Today, he could only force himself to go back to school.

If it weren't for the traffic jams, he wouldn't want to squeeze into this small subway car with such a large group of people.

Even without his family's private driver, he can still comfortably take a taxi back to school.

I happened to be passing by when I went to get my phone repaired. I dropped it last night when I was drunk, and I can't see my contacts anymore. It's probably a broken memory card.

Zhao Menghua yawned and looked around listlessly, when suddenly he froze.

He was drawn to a man and a woman in front of him. The two were carrying backpacks with a large badge on them. On the badge, a menacing black dragon was circling the decaying World Tree.

“A dragon is coiled around a rotten tree,” Zhao Menghua murmured to himself. He had seen this badge twice before, and each time it was related to that damned Lu Mingfei.

He first saw the badge during his interview at Kassel College, an interview that was a nightmare for him. Lu Mingfei and that damned Frilian made him lose face in front of everyone and suffer great humiliation.

The second time I saw this badge was at a literary club dinner. What was supposed to be a pleasant gathering was ruined by Lu Mingfei and Frilian. They had intended to embarrass Lu Mingfei, but unexpectedly, the card he used to pay the bill had this badge printed on it.

The couple in front of us must be students of Kassel College.

Zhao Menghua tried searching for information about the college online, but apart from superficial introductions, he was unable to find any further valuable information.

The academy was shrouded in mystery, and the more mysterious it was, the more Zhao Menghua was eager to uncover its secrets and find out what was going on.

From Lu Mingfei and Frilian to Chu Zihang, he always lost face because of these guys, and every single one of them joined Kassel College.

The subway announcement came on: "Zhongguancun Station has arrived. Passengers, please disembark in an orderly manner."

The boy and girl stood up to get off the bus, and Zhao Menghua, as if possessed, also stood up.

He didn't know why he did it; perhaps the alcohol was still affecting his judgment, or perhaps it was his long-standing curiosity and resentment towards Lu Mingfei and Kassel College at work.
