“Wow,” Flamel whistled, “it sounds like a trailer for a Hollywood blockbuster. Zihang, I never knew you had such a talent for special effects acting.”

The audience burst into laughter again.

Chapter 111 Hearing (Part 2)

Andrew's face was so dark it was almost dripping with anger. He stared coldly at Flamel, his voice laced with suppressed rage: "Fine, very well."

"Then let's talk about the Cape Town baseball stadium incident. Chu Zihang used the high-risk Word of Power 'Monarch Flame' in front of tens of thousands of people, but you erased the record of this mission from your files! Vice Principal, how do you explain this?"

Flamel remained calm and snapped his fingers. "That's easy to explain! Fingel, read it to Commander Andrew!"

Fingel immediately opened the folder, cleared his throat, and read in an exaggerated broadcasting voice: "According to the mission log, Chu Zihang caused a small-scale disturbance during law enforcement, resulting in minor injuries to several people and a fire, but the fire was quickly extinguished by local Cape Town firefighters and did not spread."

"Upholding the principle of fairness, the school has given Chu Zihang a demerit and deducted his scholarship for that month."

Flamel spread his hands, looking completely innocent. "Look at this, what's the big deal? Our school is fair, just, and transparent. If someone makes a mistake, they will be punished. We will never allow anyone to slip through the net!"

Andrew laughed angrily: "Not a big deal?"

He slammed his fist on the table and stood up, saying, "Tens of thousands of locals witnessed the collapse of the baseball stadium, and hundreds were burned by the flames! The incident was even broadcast live on television, and millions of people saw it with their own eyes!"

He looked at the jury and said, "The video evidence has been sent to you professors. What else do you have to say in your arguments?"

Flamel raised an eyebrow and snapped his fingers again: "Well, guess what?"

He said with a smile, "Yesterday I was watching TV and happened to see a reporter's interview about the Cape Town incident! Fingel, show it to everyone!"

Fingel immediately operated the projector, and a video was played on the big screen with a large watermark of "Cape Town Television" printed in the upper right corner.

In the video, a reporter is interviewing an elderly Black man who appears kind and honest. The man raises his burned right hand with a serious expression.

Reporter: "What else do you recall about the Cape Town stadium scorching incident?"

The old Black man looked completely certain. "Of course! I saw the perpetrator!"

The reporter pressed further: "What did the perpetrator look like?"

The old black man said with certainty, "He wears a tight-fitting suit, his underwear is inside out, and his eyes can breathe fire! Anyone he sees has their clothes burned off! He's a complete madman!"

The scene shifts to a young man with a hip-hop style, chewing gum and casually saying, "I see him, he's an American with a square face and a big chin, his name is Pete Griffin."

The scene shifts again, and a shy girl in a sailor uniform covers her face and whispers, "He's a muscular guy in a tight-fitting suit, super handsome."

Then, a stadium security guard solemnly said to the camera, "The perpetrator grabbed a car with his bare hands and threw it! I don't know who he was fighting with!"

Finally, the camera cuts back to the reporter, who adjusts his glasses and concludes: "After months of investigation, all witnesses unanimously point out that the perpetrator is a household name!"

The image freezes, and a classic figure appears on the screen wearing a blue bodysuit, a red cape, and a large "S" on his chest.

The entire room fell silent for a second.

Andrew's eyes widened, his voice trembling: "You mean, Superman did all of this?!"

Flammel shrugged, looking completely innocent. "I didn't say anything! These are just conclusions drawn by the reporters themselves."

Andrew slammed his fist on the table and roared, "Enough! Don't treat me like an idiot! Do you even believe in Superman?"

Flamel sighed and shook his head. "I already told you, it was Superman who did all this! Why are you so angry?"

Andrew was trembling with rage, gritting his teeth, and slammed his fist on the table. "You used Superman to gloss over the Cape Town incident, but what about the Stockholm incident? Chu Zihang hanged a Deadpool, don't tell me it was Iron Man who did it!"

Flamel blinked. "Oh my, you're quite the prophet. Fingel, show the esteemed head of the investigation team the news reports from Stockholm."

Fingel grinned, typed on the keyboard, and a blurry video immediately popped up on the big screen.

The logo of Stockholm Television is displayed in the upper right corner of the screen, and a blonde female reporter stands in front of the Old Town near a Stockholm church.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are now in Stockholm's Old Town," the reporter said, smoothing his wind-blown hair. "According to witnesses, last night a figure dressed in red and gold armor appeared here... uh, a superhero?"

The camera cuts to an old man wearing a reindeer wool hat, who is drinking Absolut Vodka.

"I saw it with my own eyes!" the old man hiccuped, pointing to the sky. "That thing flew by with a 'whoosh,' and its palms were glowing! Bang! All the windows on the street shattered!"

The scene shifts to a freckled girl who excitedly gestures into the microphone: "It's Iron Man! 100% sure! I follow him on Instagram! He even signed my phone case!"

The girl showed off her phone case, which was clearly decorated with marker doodles.

"Damn it!" Andrew exclaimed, veins bulging. "What the hell is this?!"

“Watch your language, Mr. Commander. These are all public reports from reputable media outlets. Fingel, continue playing.”

The video features a well-dressed, elite individual who pushes up his reflective glasses. "As a physics professor at the Royal Institute of Technology, I can say with certainty that the plasma traces remaining at the scene are highly consistent with those of Stark Industries."

A street performer wrapped in a rainbow cloak danced and gesticulated wildly, saying, "I was playing a show when suddenly! Boom! That tin man fell from the sky and scorched my accordion with his laser eyes!"

He held up the charred remains of the instrument. "Look! This is the proof! Tony Stark owes me a new violin!"

The camera then cuts back to the studio, where a serious news anchor states solemnly, "Today, the Swedish Prime Minister announced at a press conference that a formal protest has been lodged with the Avengers through diplomatic channels."

"Turn it off! Turn this ridiculous video off immediately!" Andrew roared, his finger trembling as he pointed at the screen. "Professors! Do you really believe this utter nonsense?"

Flammel said sarcastically, "Oh, my dear head of the investigation team, you're not trying to say that there's no Iron Man in this world, are you?"

He exaggeratedly clutched his chest, "Is Marvel Studios' billions of dollars in box office revenue every year just a collective illusion of the audience?"

Guderian accidentally spat on Manstein's bald head.

There was a two-second silence, and then...

"puff!"

On the Lionheart side, someone couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Immediately afterwards, everyone in the entire conference hall burst into laughter, even the tenured professors on the jury couldn't help but shake their heads and chuckle.

Flamel looked at Andrew with a smile, "You see, the eyes of the masses are discerning."

Chapter 112 Hearing (Part 2)

Vice Principal Flamel smiled slightly, his face showing a mixture of disdain, frivolity, and pity, as if he were watching a group of ignorant children making a fool of themselves.

He surveyed the room, his voice rising and falling in cadence, "Colleagues, tenured professors of Kassel College, young professors, you all just saw those so-called 'journalist interviews.' Can we believe that all of this was done by Superman or Batman?"

He slammed his hand on the table, making the water glass on it rattle. "Of course not!"

"The world is going to the dogs! Can the media still be trusted? Of course not! They'll make up any kind of fake news just to grab attention!"

Andrew Gattuso sat opposite him, a question mark almost materializing above his head. So you got to say all the good and bad things by yourself?

In the audience, Frillian turned her head slightly and whispered to Lu Mingfei beside her, "The vice principal really looks like Fingel."

Lu Mingfei's lips twitched, and he lowered his voice: "Isn't this the opposite? It's Fingel who's just as shameless as the vice principal."

Flamel continued his speech with righteous indignation: "Since I became vice-chancellor, our college has always been down-to-earth and honest! How can you believe one side of the story in the media and refuse to believe in the innocence of our college?"

He spread his hands, his expression one of profound sorrow and compassion. "We must never wrong an innocent person, nor can we let a guilty person go free!"

The expressions of the entire investigation team could no longer be described as "shocked." They seemed to have been struck by lightning, collectively falling into a daze of "Who am I? Where am I? Why am I listening to this nonsense?"

They had anticipated that Kassel College would retaliate, but they never expected that the other side would resort to smearing the world's media with black marks!

Fingel, the vice principal's number one lackey, was the first to stand up and clap his hands loudly, "Well said! The vice principal is wise!"

Immediately afterwards, the members of the Lionheart Society stood up and applauded, followed by Lu Mingfei and his strange guild, the "Mage Guild".

Only the student council members remained seated. Cesare Gattuso stood with his arms crossed, watching coldly, as if to say, "You guys keep performing, I'll just watch."

The tenured professors on the jury exchanged glances; most of them hadn't left the academy for decades, and their understanding of the outside world was still stuck in the last century.

They knew Superman and Batman; they had read comics in their youth and even followed the serializations. But they knew perfectly well that those were just fictional characters—how could they possibly appear in real life?

“Flamemer is right,” the white-haired professor said in a low voice. “The media these days has indeed degenerated.”

Another professor nodded in agreement, "Yes, if they can even make up Superman, what else wouldn't they dare to write?"

“Flamemer is right,” the old professor, whose beard was long enough to be used as a scarf, nodded. “These days, the media are starting to report on aliens.”

“My grandson said there’s something called ‘Y’ now,” the old woman next to him tapped the floor with her cane, “and it’s full of obscene videos!”

The "evidence" provided by the investigation team has become unreliable in the eyes of the tenured professors.

The plan is in place.

Flamel squinted his eyes in satisfaction, preparing to press his advantage.

"boom!"

The doors to the conference hall were pushed open, and everyone's attention was drawn to them.

Chen Motong burst in like a burning flame.

Her deep red school uniform skirt accentuated her slender waist. Her dark red hair cascaded down like a waterfall, the ends swaying gently around her waist with each step. Her red deerskin boots clicked crisply on the marble floor, their sound echoing the rhythm of everyone's heartbeats.

There was a three-second silence.

Nuonuo walked straight down the aisle without looking to the side, the sound of her high heels particularly clear in the silent auditorium.

She walked straight toward the "Mage Guild" where Lu Mingfei was.

"Senior sister?!" Lu Mingfei was a little surprised, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

He frantically tried to get up to offer his seat, but his knee bumped into the back of the seat in front of him.

Nono gracefully sat down next to him and Frilian, bringing with her a faint scent of citrus. She crossed her legs, the toes of her deerskin boots brushing against Lu Mingfei's knees.

“Caesar is on the other side,” Frilian pointed out.

“I know,” Nono said, casually tucking a stray hair behind her ear. “But I like sitting here.”

Lu Mingfei's brain went into overdrive. He stared at Nuonuo's profile, which was so close to his eyes, counting from the curve of her eyelashes to the almost invisible fine lines on her lips.

Unrealistic fantasies began to take shape in his mind: a female version of Lu Bu, wielding a halberd, riding the Red Hare, shouting at the gate of Kassel College, "A true man lives between heaven and earth; how can he live a life of melancholy and subservience to others!"

"We have more beautiful women than the other side!" Flamel cheered, breaking the tense atmosphere. "We won!"

Fingel immediately chimed in obsequiously, "The vice-principal is right! We won!"

Andrew sat in the investigation team's seat, his face as black as the bottom of a pot.

Just as he was about to speak, King Solomon, in the center of the jury, raised the heavy "Blood Pact of Abraham".

The sound of the sheepskin cover striking the brass clasp brought silence to the conference room.

"Gentlemen, the focus of this hearing is whether Angers's act of allowing dangerous bloodlines into the academy violated the blood pact."
