"Hehe, Sister Daiyu, this is a secret. If you want to know, you'll have to pay something, right?"

"Hmph, if you don't want to talk, then don't. Why do you have to come up with excuses to fob me off? If you want the moon in the sky, where am I supposed to find it for you?"

Bobby laughed and said, "You're wrong about me. Am I that kind of person? To be honest, I really like the Christmas present you gave me, and I'd like to give my mom another one."

Jady gave Bobby a handkerchief and a sachet as Christmas gifts, both of which she embroidered herself.

"That's all?"

"You still think it's not enough? How about I add some more?"

Jadi's beautiful eye-rolling is always captivating, but unfortunately, in this life, she can only be a figure of nonsense.

“In that case, I will agree and embroider one for your aunt as well.”

Bobby nodded with a grin, "Then thank you in advance, Sister Daiyu."

Jady stared at her mouth, hoping to hear news that would be favorable to Li's brother.

Her small mouth kept moving as she chewed food, and the oil on her lips didn't make Bobby look sloppy at all; instead, it gave her a delicate and alluring beauty.

Bobby only spoke up when he felt embarrassed by her gaze: "The teacher said that your brother Li is different from before, so she didn't plan to deal with him until he committed a crime."

Jady's heart started pounding again. The First White Wizard hadn't threatened to kill Li's brother! As long as he didn't act recklessly, wouldn't they be able to be together in this life?

She was already fantasizing about reuniting with her brother from the Li family! What should she do? That's it! She could write him a letter first… and begin with her poem "Dream of Chrysanthemums":

A refreshing autumn nap by the fence, the clouds and moon indistinct. I don't aspire to immortality like Zhuangzi's butterfly dream; I yearn for the past and seek the alliance with Tao Yuanming.

As I drifted off to sleep, the wild geese flew away, their flight fading into the distance. Startled awake, I was disturbed by the persistent chirping of crickets. Upon waking, to whom could I confide my melancholy? The withered grass and cold mist evoked endless sorrow.

She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn't even notice Bobby had quietly slipped away.

"Bobby, do you think he really doesn't have a nose?"

Chapter 31 Daring to Stand Tall Like a Squid, Dragon Slayer Poppy

Harry didn't see his cousin after dinner. After spending the Christmas holidays, he had a lot to say to her.

The next morning, he rushed out of his bedroom. His cousin should have slept at Professor McGonagall's place last night. He should be able to catch her this early.

But the displeased professor told him that Bobby would no longer need to sleep with the professors.

As for where Bobby went last night, McGonagall didn't know either.

Perhaps it wasn't just because Harry disturbed her so early in the morning; Professor McGonagall's displeasure was probably mostly due to Bobby!

Harry kept asking the portraits and ghosts questions, and he discovered a very interesting phenomenon: the portraits usually liked Poppy, but the ghosts avoided her like the plague.

Harry was eventually led to the kitchen.

Mr. Potter was secretly delighted. This was the place. Bobby loved to eat so much. If he couldn't find her, she must be in the kitchen. He was really brainless for not thinking of this.

But he still came up empty-handed. The house-elf told him that Her Majesty the Queen was in the Potions classroom.

Harry didn't know why he was so eager to see his cousin; he ran until his lungs ached and he stumbled.

He burst through the door, panting, and shouted, "Cousin Bobby!"

But I was amazed by the picturesque scene that came into view.

The rising sun shone through the small window of the Potions classroom.

The sunlight, bent by the dust in the classroom, resembled holy light.

The soft light shone on Bobby, giving her already quite colorful face a touch of compassion.

She was extending her right hand, lifting it upwards in a gesture, her monk's robe gently slipping down from her wrist to reveal her porcelain-like arm.

Light streamed through the fingers, as if the Virgin Mary were bestowing blessings upon humanity.

Filch knelt before her, his body slightly hunched, his face devout and fervent.

He raised his head, as if reborn, basking in the glow of the rising sun.

Harry shook his head, dismissing the absurd idea that his cousin was an angel, and then heard Bobby say:

"Uncle Filch, this time the results are even better than last time! I've found the right approach! I believe we'll succeed soon!"

Filch nodded excitedly, at a loss for words.

Bobby continued, "This potion seems to be quite potent. Can your body handle it?"

Filch struggled to his feet and replied, "It hurts, but I can still manage."

Seeing Harry come in, Filch said, "Miss Bobby, since someone is looking for you, I'll be going now."

Bobby was worried and instructed, "Go back and get some rest. This medicine is a bit toxic. I'll prepare some more for you later."

Watching Filch leave with a broad smile, Harry could hardly believe his eyes. Was this really the same menacing Filch?

Bobby then looked at Harry.

"Harry, is there something you need?" Bobby asked, looking down as he tidied up the potion-making equipment on the table.

“Cousin, it’s like this… A few days ago I found a magical mirror in the castle.”

Bobby looked up at him and asked, "Is it the Mirror of Erised?"

Harry asked in surprise, "Your cousin knows? So, have you had it taken?"

Bobby certainly took the photo.

Bobby looked into the mirror as soon as Old Deng took it out this semester.

In the mirror, she lay on a large bed, surrounded by various delicacies, while adult Jady and Hermione gave her a massage...

This is Bobby Evans's biggest ambition!

But we can't let our little cousin Harry know.

"I know, but I've never had it taken."

Harry said "Oh," and then said, "I saw my parents in the mirror... This is the first time I've ever seen my parents."

Bobby exclaimed in surprise, "Huh? You've never seen Aunt Lily before? Don't you have any pictures of them?"

Harry nodded. “Never seen you before,” he said, looking at Bobby eagerly. “Cousin, I just found out that you look exactly like my mother.”

Bobby quickly interrupted Harry. Good heavens, what if this kid started to see her as his mother?

She said hurriedly, "Harry, if you still want to see your mother, I have a picture of her at home. I'll have my dad find it and give it to you."

Although I resemble Aunt Lily, I am not...

Harry, I know you miss your parents, but you can't, at least you shouldn't, see me as a substitute for your mother.

Harry paused for a moment, "I didn't..."

Bobby patted him on the shoulder. "Okay, okay, I know," she said, having already cleared the table. "Are you hungry? Let's go have breakfast. I have to go out for a bit later."

Harry really didn't know what to say. His cousin said she saw her as a substitute for her mother. He had never thought that way, but he did see his cousin as someone he could rely on... just like a mother?

The little boy was immediately embarrassed. To mistake a girl his own age for his mother was just too much...

Harry immediately changed the subject: "We've been looking into someone named Nicolas Flamel lately. Do you know who he is, cousin?"

"Yes, I know him. He's a legendary alchemist and an old friend of Dumbledore. Two years ago, Dumbledore even took me to visit him. He's an old man who, although physically frail, is in excellent spirits."

As Bobby walked out the door, he turned back and added, "Isn't it all written on the Chocolate Frog cards? It's on the Dumbledore cards, and you all have one, don't you?"

Harry was dumbfounded. In his cousin's eyes, he clearly saw a crushing intellectual superiority, the kind of look one might give someone an idiot.

He thought about it, and realized he wasn't the only one being silly; even the brilliant Hermione was among them. The answer was all around him, whether it was his cousin or the Chocolate Frog cards…

After finishing breakfast, Bobby hurriedly vanished in a phantom motion, and no one knew where she went.

This school year she no longer has heavy coursework, and the magic bracelet has relieved the burden of magic on her body.

She can finally do many things she couldn't do before, such as finding materials to make a potion that can restore the Squib's magic.

It's not that her potion-making skills surpass Snape's, but rather that she possesses an innate talent—she can see the flow of magic.

In her eyes, Filch, and even her own mother Christine, were not like ordinary Muggles. It wasn't that they lacked magic, but rather that their magic was "locked" in a "small room."

Through years of experimentation, she already knew which drug could unleash magic to break through the blockade. She now needed a poison—the deadly venom from the teeth of the Peruvian venomous dragon.

The Peruvian venomous dragon, found in eastern and northeastern Peru, is the smallest of all known fire-breathing dragons, but the fastest in flight, and its teeth are extremely venomous.

The "dragonpox" that terrifies wizards originated from patients who contracted the disease through frequent contact with Peruvian venomous dragons. Today, dragonpox is a contagious disease that wizards fear. Although there are treatments available, it often leaves slow-healing scars and causes the skin to turn bluish.

While studying the books, Bobby keenly noticed a side effect of "dragon smallpox" that was often overlooked—sparks would come out of the nostrils when the patient sneezed.

Having these symptoms clearly indicates that the poison of the Venomous Fang Dragon is related to magic. She has wanted to obtain this poison since she was nine years old, but it is almost impossible to find on the market because hardly anyone is willing to study it or use it.

After all, even a potion master would be afraid of being covered in scars and having bluish skin.

If the goal is to poison someone, there are plenty of more potent substitutes available. Who would risk their life to slay a dragon for the poison? Don't underestimate the Peruvian Viperosaurus just because it's small; this creature had humans on its menu!

Anyway, Bobby was determined to get some venom from the Peruvian fanged dragon, for Filch who had always taken good care of her, and also for her mother.

Poppy the Dragon Slayer, reporting for duty!

Chapter 32 First Blood

Loreto Province, Peru, Amazon basin, high-altitude mountainous region near the Nebrina peak in northern Brazil.

When Bobby showed up here, he was completely exhausted.

She hadn't traveled through the map of Peru... so she could only teleport in segments, carefully avoiding the eyes of Muggles.

Fortunately, she finally arrived in Peru around noon.

This trip was illegal, as they did not obtain entry permits from any of the countries along the way, so Bobby was unusually cautious.

The book only states that the Peruvian venomous dinosaur is located in northeastern Peru, without specifying its exact location. This is probably because the author was afraid that some reckless wizards might go and deliver themselves to someone else's death.

Bobby studied it for a long time and concluded that a large flying creature like a fire dragon would never choose a rainforest as its habitat. How could it fly in the forest?
