"It might be an illusion created by Master Ziyang."

Feng Tianyang pondered, "Which of us knows the methods of a sorcerer?"

"I know some of the tricks of warlocks."

Wugensheng spoke, gazing at the stone steps, then laughed, "But even if this is an illusion, it is certainly not something that ordinary mortals like us can decipher."

Why not go and take a look at the Lingtai Fangcun (a point on the mind's eye)?

The six had no other good options, so they went up the mountain with Wugensheng. Sure enough, they found a cave, and the scenery there was even more pleasant. It was truly:

The mist and clouds scatter their colors, the sun and moon shimmer with light. A thousand ancient cypress trees stand tall, and ten thousand bamboo groves stretch out.

Exotic flowers adorn the gate, and fragrant herbs scent the bridge. The rocky cliffs rise abruptly, glistening with green moss, while the steep walls are covered in lush lichen.

The cry of cranes is often heard, and the phoenix is often seen soaring. When the cranes cry, their voices resound far and wide, reaching the heavens; when the phoenixes take flight, their plumage is adorned with five-colored clouds. Black apes and white deer appear and disappear, while golden lions and jade elephants roam freely.

Upon closer inspection, this blessed land truly rivals paradise!

Another couplet can be seen outside the cave entrance: Lingtai Fangcun Mountain, Xieyue Sanxing Cave.

Chapter 1305 "Zi Yinghe"

"Do you think that if we really meet Subhuti, we'll become Sun Wukong's senior brother?"

Looking at the couplet in front of the cave entrance, Wei Shufen joked.

"It could also be a junior apprentice."

Wugensheng chuckled.

The other five remained silent, then asked in unison, "Who will knock on the door?"

"I'll go."

Just as Wugensheng was about to step forward, the door creaked open, and a handsome and extraordinary-looking young Taoist boy stepped out. He was truly:

Her hair was tied up in two silk buns, and her wide robe flowed in the wind. Her appearance and body were distinct, and her heart and form were both empty.

A long-lived guest beyond worldly affairs, a child of eternal life in the mountains. Untouched by a speck of dust, letting the cycle of life unfold as it may.

Who is causing this disturbance?

The boy saw the seven people and loudly questioned them.

“Fairy boy, please don’t be offended! We are mortals, not here to disturb you, but to seek the Dao.” Wugensheng bowed and smiled.

"Just now, my ancestor was giving a sermon when he suddenly said that seven people from beyond the realm had come to seek the Dao. Are you one of them?"

The boy blinked, looked them up and down, and asked the seven people with a smile.

"It's us! It's us!"

Wugensheng readily agreed.

"Then come in with me."

The boy then led them into the cave. The mountain gate seemed small, but inside was a hidden paradise, with layers of deep pavilions and towers, and palaces of pearls and shells, truly a serene and secluded place.

Upon reaching the Ancestral Master's Jade Terrace, everyone who saw it, including Wu Gensheng, Zhang Dong, Zhao Pingshan, Zhao Tianhai, and Wei Shufen, were all astonished.

Without him.

The reason was that the patriarch's appearance was seven parts similar to Jiang Liu's, yet he had white hair and beard, and was serene and natural, just like a true immortal.

"Master, the seven seekers of the Dao have been brought here."

The boy ascended the Jade Terrace and stood before the Patriarch.

Jiang Liu... oh no, I mean, the conscious mind—Subhuti Patriarch—asked: "Are you all truly seeking the Way?"

"With sincere reverence, I pay homage to my master! Your disciple pays homage with sincere reverence!"

Before the others could even react with surprise and doubt, Wugensheng knelt down with a thud and kowtowed repeatedly—regardless of whether this "Subhuti Patriarch" was Jiang Liu or not, he had already knelt before Jiang Liu before, so it wouldn't hurt to kneel again now that he saw him again.

The other six people also knelt down and kowtowed together.

The patriarch said, "Don't kneel down yet, first tell me your hometown and name."

Gao Gendao said, "I am from Jiangsu and Zhejiang during the Republic of China era."

Zhao Tianhai said, "This disciple comes from Jiangsu Province during the Republic of China era."

Zhao Pingshan said, "He and I are brothers, from the same place."

Zhang Dong said, "I come from the Guangdong area of the Republic of China."

Wei Shufen said, "I am from western Hunan Province during the Republic of China era."

Wugensheng said, "I consider the world my home, and have no attachments."

"Get them out!"

The patriarch suddenly became angry, "They are all deceitful and charlatanic people, what kind of Tao are they seeking?"

“Master, please don’t be angry. We are telling the truth.” Wugensheng said.

“If there is no falsehood, how can you say it’s the Republic of China? It will be thousands of years before the Southern Continent is to be called the ‘Republic of China’!” the Patriarch questioned.

"..."

Wugensheng was speechless. He really suspected that this patriarch was Jiang Liu in disguise, but he dared not expose him. He could only say, "Patriarch, everything we said is true, not a single word is false."

We come from beyond this realm!

extraterritorial.

[It was the young attendant beside you who first uttered that word!]

Wugensheng silently complained to himself.

The patriarch stared at Wugensheng and asked, "It's one thing for them to wait, but are you truly unattached and make the world your home?"

Wugensheng opened his mouth, then noticed that his six brothers and sisters were looking over. He kowtowed and said, "Master, I already have a family, and I am married with a daughter."

Upon hearing that Wugen had a daughter, the other six were either shocked, stunned, or speechless.

He actually has a daughter?!

"He's actually quite honest."

The patriarch nodded and then inquired about the fate of everyone.

Gao Gen and the other six people gave their names, and the patriarch said, “In my sect, there are twelve characters, namely Guang, Da, Zhi, Hui, Zhen, Ru, Xing, Hai, Ying, Wu, Yuan, and Jue, which are used to name different people. But since you six people already have names and lineages, I will not give you any more names.”

As for you—”

Wugensheng said, "Disciple Wugensheng."

How can one live without roots?

The patriarch shook his head, “Like duckweed, drifting with the current, what kind of Dao fruit can it achieve? Like moss, with false roots clinging to it, it falls off with a single swipe, what kind of Great Dao can it cultivate?”

Even protecting oneself is difficult!

How about I give you a courtesy name?

"it is good."

Wugensheng remained silent.

The patriarch said, “Your family name is Feng. The character ‘冫’ is composed of ‘马’ (horse) and ‘冰’ (ice). It means that a horse is trapped in ice and it is difficult to transform into a dragon and fly away. This is not good. However, this is the surname given to you by the person who raised you. You cannot discard it. So, keep the surname Feng.”

Wugensheng: "..."

"Your name is Yao, which means the sun melts the ice, the will of the horse breaks free, and the jade dragon soars into the sky. This is good, but when a dragon soars into the nine heavens, it will act recklessly and must be controlled."

The patriarch continued, "In this generation, you perfectly embody the character 'Ying'. Dragons represent water, which needs to nourish wood to grow. So, I'll name you Yinghe. Is that alright?"

"it is good."

What else could Wugensheng do? He could only accept the name Yinghe.

This is the end.

The seven of them fully entered Lingtai Fangcun Mountain and cultivated together with their fellow disciples.

Gao Gen, Zhang Dong, Zhao Pingshan, Zhao Tianhai, Wei Shufen, and Feng Tianyang devoted most of their energy to cultivation, either seeking guidance from their fellow disciples or visiting the Sutra Repository.

In particular, the library contained a vast collection of books on various disciplines, including those related to art, movement, stillness, religion, and religion, which greatly contributed to the progress of all six individuals.

During this time, Wugensheng seemed to have returned to his childhood when he was learning his craft. He took on all kinds of chores in the cave, such as chopping wood, carrying water, washing clothes, and planting vegetables. He worked very hard.

Although he often consulted his senior brothers who had entered the sect before him about the path of cultivation, and often visited the library to study various classic texts, he only cultivated in the same way as before, focusing on the three treasures of essence, energy, and spirit. As a result, his eyes became even brighter.

In the blink of an eye.

Seven years have passed quietly.

On this day, the patriarch was giving a sermon, speaking of Tao, Zen, and the principle of benevolence, unifying the principles of the three schools. However, most of the people in the audience had their brows furrowed, as if they did not quite understand.

Only Wugensheng seemed to understand a part of the Daoist principles, and the innate Qi within his body spontaneously pulsed, causing his mind to rejoice and dance wildly.

Upon seeing this, Gao Gen and the others had a sudden flash of inspiration—they had actually forgotten about this!?

And so.

The six people imitated them, dancing wildly as if this were a grand stage for a performance.

The other fellow disciples all had strange expressions, not understanding what had gotten into these seven guys, who dared to dance while the patriarch was preaching—at least they should have performed after the patriarch had finished speaking!

Upon seeing the seven people dancing, the Patriarch indeed stopped lecturing and asked, "Why are you all not listening to me? What kind of postures are you performing in the hall?"

"I hope Master will not take offense."

Wei Shufen couldn't wait to speak, saying, "When I heard the wonderful parts, I was so happy that I couldn't help but start dancing."

"Oh? Then tell me, what is the wonder of the way I have described?" the Patriarch asked, testing him.

"..."

No!

Why don't you play by the rules?

Wei Shufen froze on the spot, her mind working at an extraordinary speed, and she actually recited a passage directly: "Master, your sermons are truly:
