Flowers rained down from the sky, golden lotuses sprang from the earth. The wondrous teachings of the Three Vehicles were expounded, all the subtle and profound dharmas were fully revealed. Slowly waving a whisk, pearls and jade sprayed forth, the sound resounding like thunder that shook the heavens. A moment was spent speaking of Tao, a moment of expounding Zen; the three schools complemented each other perfectly.

"The single word 'enlightenment' leads to sincere understanding, guiding one to the profound mystery of non-birth and ultimate nature."

The patriarch: "..."

Chapter 1306 "Transmission of the Dharma"

"You certainly know how to flatter."

The patriarch smiled, but then became solemn and said, “None of you are honest. Only Yinghe understood the wonderful sound. The six of you are just imitating him and seeking petty tricks. Even if I were to pass on the Great Dao to you, you would find it difficult and be unable to learn it. Instead, you are just teaching me empty words and making my mouth dry and my tongue parched, wasting all my efforts.”

At this point, the Patriarch sighed and said, "Very well, but I cannot let you have come here for seven years in vain. So I will pass on some Taoist arts to you. Focus on your cultivation and persevere, and you will be able to attain enlightenment."

"We still hope that the patriarch will impart his teachings!"

X6

During these seven years, the six of them had witnessed the patriarch expounding the Dharma. He was truly powerful and had great supernatural abilities. It would be good if they could learn even a little bit from him.

"There are 360 side paths within the 'Tao' school, all of which lead to enlightenment. However, they can be categorized into four types: technique, flow, stillness, and movement. I wonder which one you wish to learn?"

The patriarch inquired.

The six people already knew about these four gates.

The arts of divination involve consulting spirit mediums, consulting divination sticks, and using yarrow stalks to understand how to seek good fortune and avoid misfortune.

The Liuzi School is a collection of principles from various schools of thought, including Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, Yin-Yang School, Mohism, and medicine. It involves reading scriptures, chanting Buddhist mantras, and worshipping deities and saints.

The "Quiet" school involves abstaining from grains and guarding the grain, practicing tranquility and non-action, meditating, observing vows and fasting, practicing sleeping meditation, practicing standing meditation, and entering a state of deep meditation.

The "movement" category involves actions and activities, such as gathering yin to supplement yang, climbing bows and stepping on crossbows, massaging the navel to expel qi, using formulas for processing, burning thatch and beating cauldrons, taking red lead, refining autumn stones, and consuming women's milk.

Feng Tianyang said, "Master, I am from a family of shamans, skilled in using spirits and ghosts. I wish to learn the way of summoning immortals and using spirit mediums."

The patriarch said, “In that case, I will teach you a method of capturing spirits and commanding generals. Come forward.”

Feng Tianyang felt he could not cultivate the Great Dao, and only wished to control all the spirits in the world for his own use. When he saw that the patriarch was willing to pass on his magic, he was overjoyed and hurriedly stepped forward to listen.

This method of summoning spirits and commanding generals differs from that of the Feng family in the parallel universe. It combines "Heaven and Earth Manipulation" and can utilize all spirits for its own purposes.

Upon hearing this technique, Feng Tianyang became so engrossed in it that he could not extricate himself. His patriarch then awakened him, saying, "If you master this technique and focus on cultivation, you can also use it to enter the Dao and achieve enlightenment."

"Thank you, Master, for transmitting the Dharma!"

Feng Tianyang bowed in gratitude.

Afterwards, Wei Shufen said, "Master, I wish to learn the Jingzi School."

Over the past seven years, Wei Shufen has also come to understand the word "Gu". It is associated with the Mountain Wind hexagram. In the mountains, where wind blows through a hundred openings, there must be insect spirits that transform into a thousand Gu.

Therefore, to refine a true Heavenly Dragon Gu, one must possess a strong spirit, a stable mind, and remain unmoved and unshakable.

The "Quiet" door is most suitable for you.

"In that case, I will pass on to you the Spring and Autumn Gu Body Technique."

Nine orifices within the body form mountains and rivers, eight meridians within the body transform into wondrous winds. This Gu-like body endures through the ages, a rare sight even after ten thousand years.

Doing good warms the world, while doing evil chills people's hearts. Only by receiving the nine transformations of a holy child can an earthworm become a heavenly dragon.

Upon hearing the beautiful sound, Wei Shufen wrote it down and repeatedly expressed her gratitude.

The brothers Zhao Pingshan and Zhao Tianhai said in unison, "Master, our cultivation philosophy is 'the creation of nature,' and we wish to learn the Flowing Character School."

"Very well, I will pass on to you two a divine technique and a hundred refinements."

The patriarch disassembled the Divine Mechanism of Hundred Refinements, with the Divine Mechanism emphasizing control and the Hundred Refinements focusing on crafting. He then combined it with the Nine Aperture Talisman Seal, enabling it to learn from the power of heaven and earth and all things.

The two brothers, having learned this art, became completely absorbed in it and could not extricate themselves.

Zhang Dong said, "Master, my family has a Flowing Cloud Sword technique, and I wish to learn the 'Movement' style."

"The weather is ever-changing, but the rolling and unfolding of clouds is merely an outward appearance. Obsessing over 'flowing clouds' is nothing but a minor skill. You do have a chivalrous spirit and a steadfast character. Here is a Four-Six Sword Technique, a minor art, which can manifest the four seasons and transform the six qi: Jueyin Wind Wood, Shaoyin Sovereign Fire, Shaoyang Ministerial Fire, Taiyin Damp Earth, Yangming Dry Metal, and Taiyang Cold Water. I will pass it on to you."

Upon hearing this, Zhang Dong was stunned. He had never imagined that his own Flowing Cloud Sword was just a minor skill in front of the patriarch, while the "minor path" that the patriarch wanted to pass on to him was the essence of the four seasons and six qi.

As expected of Subhuti, the Patriarch!

So he quickly and carefully wrote it down.

"Remember, use your mind to wield the sword, not the sword to wield it. Do not be misled by wind, heat, dampness, dryness, or cold," the patriarch instructed.

"Your disciple will remember this."

Zhang Dong readily agreed.

Afterwards, the patriarch looked at Gao Gen and asked, "Which discipline do you wish to learn?"

Gao Gen replied, "I hope Master knows that I wish to learn everything."

These words caused an uproar in the class.

"What a greedy person!"

"The patriarch passed down the Dao to you, yet you want it all?"

"You're not a human being!"

"This is not a physical exercise for Taoist cultivation!"

"It's like a greedy demon!"

"..."

Even someone without roots would feel ashamed.

When the ancients passed on their teachings, they chose only one disciple, simply because the Way is one.

If a disciple does not choose, or hesitates, or is unclear, that is acceptable; the Patriarch will not blame him.

However, if you choose more than one option, you will offend your master, or even anger him, and he will be sent down the mountain to sever the master-disciple relationship!

Indeed.

Since the patriarch did not give Gao Gen and others names or courtesy names, they were not considered the patriarch's true disciples. Calling him "Master" was merely a way for them to learn the Dao and receive a teacher's favor.

can only say.

Gao Gen is indeed a ruthless person who could "break up" with his master who taught him his skills and personally infiltrate the Quanxing Sect. He is quite stubborn.

Jiang Subhuti was well aware of Gao Gen's stubbornness, but he was not annoyed. He said leisurely, "Good and evil are only a thought away. The unity of knowledge and action is the way to enlightenment. But if the knowledge is flawed, the action will only harm others and oneself."

in this way.

Go to the Sutra Repository and cultivate your own Dharma and your own path. Once your companions have mastered their magic, then descend the mountain with them.

Jiang Liu naturally wouldn't care about Gao Gen's stubborn temper, but this was the world of the three realms of human beings, the Lingtai Fangcun Mountain, and as the Patriarch Subhuti, he couldn't break the rules.

Some disciples gloated over Gao Gen's arrangements, but the patriarch asked them, "Hai Fa, what are you laughing at?"

The disciple named Haifa hurriedly kowtowed and said, "I hope the Ancestral Master will forgive me. I felt happy to see the greedy being punished, so I laughed."

The patriarch said, "When the mouth is open, the spirit dissipates; when the tongue moves, trouble arises. This does not mean that you should keep your mouth shut, but rather that you should not argue over who is superior or inferior, and you should not laugh at others."

The practitioners are the same person.

You laugh at his greed, but you don't realize that this mockery disturbs your own peace of mind, causing you to lose three parts of your spiritual innocence and gain seven parts worldly karma.

"Master, please forgive me! Please forgive me!"

Haifa kept kowtowing.

"I will not offend you, but you may leave."

The patriarch spoke.

“Master! Master! Your disciple was fortunate enough to see the true essence of the Great Dao under the guidance of my teacher. I have not yet repaid your kindness, how can I leave the mountain?” Haifa cried.

"What great favor could there be? If you cause trouble in the future, not only will you not be my disciple, but I will never see you again."

The patriarch spoke coldly, “This is a place where one’s mind is at peace and focused. Only those who are at peace and focused can come here. You have already been moved by worldly thoughts and cannot stay here any longer.”

“Master, Junior Brother Haifa was just momentarily agitated. Please forgive him this time.”

Some people pleaded for Haifa.

Upon seeing this disciple, the Patriarch remained calm: "Since that's the case, Xingzhen, you may go down the mountain with Haifa."

The disciple named Xingzhen stood there dumbfounded, at a loss for what to do. His eyes showed regret and remorse for pleading for Haifa, as well as resentment for the patriarch's lack of compassion. But in the end, it turned into a deep sense of helplessness. He and Haifa kowtowed to the patriarch and said, "Master, your disciple... will obey your command!"

Chapter 1307 "The Monkey King's Birth and Worship at the Spirit Altar"

As Xingzhen and Haifa left the cave, some disciples were puzzled, while others suddenly realized what was happening. Gao Gen and the others, however, were in a daze and began to doubt whether this place was a dream or a fantasy, but the real world of Journey to the West.

Wugensheng also had this doubt.

Without him.

Everything here—

Absolutely true!

River flow...

Is it really possible to create a Journey to the West world that is exactly the same as the real one?

"Yinghe, which subject do you want to learn?"

After Xingzhen and Haifa descended the mountain, the Patriarch turned his attention to Wugensheng.

"I hope the Ancestral Master knows that I often accompany you on the mountain, unaware of the passage of time and ignorant of the flow, stillness, and movement of techniques. Could you please explain this to me in detail?"

Wugensheng wanted to go through the process once.

"Oh? You seem to be sincerely dedicated to cultivating the Tao." The patriarch smiled slightly. "Do you seek immortality?"

"Exactly!"

Wugensheng worshipped the Dao.

"The four arts of technique, flow, stillness, and movement can lead to enlightenment, but none of them can grant immortality."

The patriarch spoke frankly, taking out a raincoat, a straw hat, and a hoe, and giving them to Wugensheng, saying, "Yinghe, the back mountain is desolate. Go and cultivate a field."
