"Why are you only telling me now?" Bruce Banner turned to look at Li Qun.

“Peter has no idea that I know about his Spider-Man transformation,” Li Qun said.

"What are you afraid of?" Dr. Banner noticed the worry hidden in Li Qun's eyes.

"What if Peter turns into a giant humanoid spider someday?" Li Qun changed the subject.

“It’s possible, and the possibility is not low,” Dr. Banner said, arms crossed.

“Call Peter here, I’ll take him to my lab for a medical checkup,” Dr. Banner said.

"What can a physical exam check?" Li Qun asked.

“I also need to conduct a psychiatric evaluation on him, including the condition of his body cells and his genes, to check whether his cognition has deviated from his human identity.”

"Just being injected with venom by a genetically engineered spider can cause a complete transformation in a person. The probability of this is about the same as someone hitting a wall and experiencing quantum tunneling," Bruce Banner said.

"Dr. Banner, can we maintain the status quo for now and observe Peter first?"

"Peter has always been a hero, and his heart is full of justice. In the future, he may design a suit for himself like in the comics and become a superhero who steps out of the comics."

“He has this power, and he’s very young. If we restrict him and prevent him from using it, his mind might become twisted,” Li Qun said.

“I know. I didn’t limit your power, did I?” Bruce Banner smiled at Li Qun.

“You’re all pretty much the same. But in my eyes, you might pose a much greater threat than Peter, that little spider.”

"The magical artifact you obtained, the Ruyi Jingu Bang, involves Sun Wukong, a great deity who transcends multiple dimensions of the universe."

“Peter is your friend, so the task of caring for him and guiding him is entrusted to you.” Bruce Banner patted Li Qun on the shoulder, making Li Qun feel the heavy pat.

"Did Peter's parents die very early?" Bruce Banner suddenly asked.

“Yes, Peter told me it was an accident when he was four or five years old,” Li Qun replied.

"Liqun, do you know how the Hulk was created?"

Li Qun shook his head at Dr. Banner.

“My father was a scientist in the military. He experimented on himself, and during the experiment, he did not restrain himself, which made my mother pregnant and gave birth to me. I have been different from other children since birth.”

"To my father, I was an invaluable research subject. He used me for experiments when I was still a baby, and I knew nothing about it."

“It was as if it were a cycle of fate. I became engaged to the general’s daughter, and I became a scientist working for the military. I also conducted experiments on myself. That experiment interacted with the experiments my father had conducted on me in the past, triggering a terrifying change that is difficult to understand, which brought Hulk into this world.” Bruce Banner said in a deep voice.

"I think I'm lucky; my fiancée and I don't have children."

"Dr. Banner, are you guessing that Peter had a similar experience to you when he was a child? That his father experimented on him?"

“It would be very difficult to investigate, as this happened more than ten years ago,” Li Qun said.

"Could Peter's father be related to my father, or to my past research projects? The military has been trying to create super soldiers for almost sixty years, since World War II," Dr. Banner wondered.

"Would you call this a success? It's just that no one has handed over the research results to the military yet," Li Qun said.

"It is the will of Heaven."

"What do you mean?" Li Qun asked.

“God doesn’t want the U.S. War Department to have super soldiers,” Dr. Banner said.

"Dr. Banner, have you ever been heartbroken?"

"Has Peter broken up with his girlfriend?" Dr. Banner asked.

“I didn’t fall in love, I was just one step away. Let me tell you the story…” Li Qun recounted the events of that week to Dr. Banner, which amused Dr. Banner.

"I didn't realize your good friend Peter was such a romantic."

“Currently, Peter only likes Mary Jane. But Peter is very popular with women. When school started, he attracted a transfer student, a beautiful and intelligent girl with long, wavy black hair. In the future, Peter will be surrounded by all sorts of women,” Li Qun said.

“This must be Peter unconsciously releasing his hormones to attract suitable, outstanding women to his side so that he can pass on his spider genes,” Dr. Banner said, stroking his chin.

“That sounds a bit scary,” Li Qun said.

"This is a situation that already exists among humans, not something that only happened after Peter mutated," Dr. Banner explained.

Chapter 159 What kind of century is the 21st century?

"Liqun, get some of the spider silk that Peter spat out."

Upon hearing Dr. Banner's words, Li Qun's eyes lit up.

"You're also interested in Peter's spider silk, aren't you?"

"I'll go right away."

Li Qun opened a portal, and another portal appeared in Dr. Banner's magic crystal ball. Li Qun seemed to step into the crystal ball.

Li Qun held a pair of chopsticks and cut off a piece of the spider silk that Peter had left on the top of the building.

After obtaining the spider silk sample, Li Qun turned around, passed through the portal, and returned to the Sanctuary.

“Peter just threw up, it’s very fresh.”

Li Qun handed the chopsticks to Dr. Banner, who carefully scraped the spider silk protein wrapped around the chopsticks into the glass container.

"Dr. Banner, do you think it's possible that we can artificially synthesize Peter's spider silk protein and turn the long-held expectations of materials science for spider silk materials into reality?" Li Qun said to Dr. Banner.

"That's a great idea. I suggest you have an even better dream next time."

"Breakthroughs in materials science aren't something you can achieve just by thinking about it," Dr. Banner retorted to Li Qun.

Dr. Banner took a small section of Peter's spider silk and played with it in his hand. The veins on Dr. Banner's arm bulged as he stretched Peter's spider silk until it was thin and long, until Dr. Banner's skin turned green before he finally broke the spider silk.

“Extremely resilient,” Dr. Banner commented.

"Liqun, come with me to the lab."

Dr. Banner opened a portal to his Kamar-Taj laboratory, holding the spider silk sample himself while Li Qun held the magic crystal ball, and the two entered the laboratory.

“We’re going to be working late, so don’t complain,” Dr. Banner said to Li Qun.

“I’m not afraid of staying up late now. I can go for days without sleeping, then sleep all day on the weekend to recharge,” Li Qun told Dr. Banner.

"It seems you have made progress in developing the power of the Five Elements of the Great Sage."

“The aggregates of consciousness and form have strengthened my body and mind to a degree that I cannot comprehend. Sometimes I instinctively feel that I can do it, and it actually happens,” Li Qun said.

“Let’s examine Peter’s white discharge,” Dr. Banner laughed.

"It's spider silk protein, Dr. Banner, it's disgusting to hear you say that."

"Liqun, you need to have a sense of humor, understand?"

Dr. Bruce Banner, who holds fourteen doctoral degrees, is exceptionally skilled in researching Peter's spider silk proteins. Moreover, Dr. Banner's laboratory at Kamar-Taj is equipped with extremely advanced scientific research equipment. They achieved results that would take other biological laboratories several weeks to obtain on just the first night they began studying Peter's spider silk proteins.

"You can actually do that? Li Qun, your dream might actually come true." Dr. Banner said, squinting as he looked at the experimental results.

"Can Peter's spider silk protein be artificially manufactured?" Li Qun was surprised, not expecting such a good result.

"The wonders of nature."

“Peter’s spider silk protein can be described as a versatile material. Depending on the pressure, spray angle, and nozzle diameter, it can be used to create all kinds of spider webs, far exceeding the seven types of spider webs found in nature,” Dr. Banner said.

"Can it shoot out spider silk so fine it's transparent, as sharp as kite string? What if someone accidentally rushes over and gets their head cut off by this kind of silk?" Li Qun said.

“What are you thinking? This is terrible.” Dr. Banner glanced at Li Qun.

"Of course not."

"Peter's spider silk can only bounce people off, it won't cut off their heads."

“I’m worried about Peter. If one day Peter starts using his spider silk to deal with difficult criminals, I’m afraid he might accidentally kill someone,” Li Qun explained.

“The human body of an ordinary person is very fragile. Sometimes, just a fall can trigger a serious illness. You don’t need to think about it. Peter will definitely cause accidental injury when he is dealing with criminals.”

“The spider silk can actually help him reduce the harm he inflicts on criminals,” Banner thought to himself.

"Liqun, are you only thinking about using spider silk as weapons and tools? Haven't you thought of anything else? For example, using Peter's spider silk as a new clothing material."

“I think the artificially modified Peter Spider silk is a very good material for clothing. I can make a new pair of shorts,” Dr. Banner smiled.

"Di Di!"

"My alarm clock, it's time for me to get up." Li Qun raised his wrist and glanced at his watch, which had just gone off.

"Go ahead, I need to get some sleep too."

Li Qun took off his gloves and threw them in the trash can, hung up his white coat, and left Dr. Banner's laboratory through the portal.

After Li Qun left, Dr. Banner did not continue his research on Peter's spider silk protein. Although Dr. Banner was inspired by Peter's versatile spider silk protein, he chose to go to sleep.

If Banner doesn't sleep, the Hulk will protest. He'll appear as a spirit, not by taking over the body.

……

During physics class, Li Qun secretly glanced at Peter's notebook.

In Peter's physics notebook, he drew several diagrams of the motion of objects, along with the calculation process next to each diagram.

Li Qun immediately knew that Peter was calculating how to better move between the skyscrapers of New York using spider silk.

Peter designed and solved his own problems, turning all the situations he encountered while moving along the spider silk into physics problems.

Peter's idea was to first calculate all types of problems clearly in his notebook, and then, once he was proficient in calculating by hand, he would work out the problems in his mind without the paper, striving to be able to deal with the problems he encountered in the process of practicing swinging on the spider web in a timely manner.

At noon, in the school cafeteria, Gwen observed the absent-minded Peter Parker.

“Peter, you’ve been talking less lately,” Gwen said to Peter.

“That’s because Mary Jane is gone,” Harry joked.

“Peter is thinking about problems, and these problems occupy most of Peter’s mental processing power,” Li Qun said.

“Yes, I’m thinking about something,” Peter replied to Gwen, shoveling food into his mouth.

“Stephanie, I have a few questions I’d like to ask your father, about chemistry.” Peter pulled a notebook from his backpack and handed it to Stephanie.

"May I take a look?" Stephanie took Peter's notebook, and after Peter nodded, she opened the notebook and looked at it.

“Peter, these aren’t questions a high school student should be asking, are they?” Stephanie looked at Peter blankly.

“Peter is a genius,” Harry said to Stephanie with a raised eyebrow and a smile.

“My dad also says I’m a genius, and he’s proud of me,” Stephanie said.
