America: A Prodigy of Stereotypes

Before Natasha and Wade divorced, Natasha knew everyone Wade knew, and she had the phone numbers of everyone Wade was with.
“Of course.” When he heard Natasha ask that, Wade smiled at her and recalled many things from the past.
"He has magical healing abilities."
"It's just magic," Wade thought to himself.
“Wade, is your hand okay?” Natasha suddenly asked.
"What happened to his hand?" John Wick glanced again at Wade, who was huddled in the back row.
“He arm wrestled with me yesterday and broke his right hand.”
"The fracture isn't my fault, it's because you used too much force," Wade argued loudly.
“Your hand looks fine,” John Wick said.
"John, don't forget what I told you."
"What did Wade say?"
“Natasha, do you want to know everything?” Wade asked Natasha.
“Alright, we’re home.” John Wick interrupted the two.
The car door opened, and John and Natasha got out. Helen came out of her house to greet them, and the two puppies happily ran around Helen.
Wade struggled to climb out of the car from the back seat, secretly vowing never to borrow that Ford Mustang from John Wick again, feeling that his luck had hit rock bottom with this car.
"Are you alright, Wade?" Helen asked with concern from the side.
"I'm fine, but could I borrow the washing machine? My clothes are all dirty."
"Use it as you like."
"Thank you."
Wade was genuinely grateful for Helen's generosity. If he had asked John for help, John would most likely have told him to take the clothes to the laundromat.
"Let me help him."
John Wick helped Wade get some clothes and led him to wash them.
"Use this one."
Wade noticed that John's house had three washing machines, each with a specific function for washing different types of clothing.
John turned on the washing machine, threw Wade's clothes in, and turned the knob on the control panel to start the machine.
"That's too much," Wade remarked, arms crossed.
“I don’t want your smelly socks and underwear to be washed with my coat and shirt,” John said.
“I don’t have underwear or socks in this pile of clothes,” Wade emphasized.
"I know."
"When you lived with Natasha before, didn't she make any demands of you?" John asked Wade.
"It seems so... but I didn't pay much attention," Wade replied hesitantly.
“No wonder you guys are having such a hard time.” John added insult to injury for Wade.
“Isn’t it said that couples should be tolerant of each other?” Wade said.
"Think about it carefully."
The washing machine is filling with water, and it's making a bit of a noise.
Wade realized he did have a problem, but they'd been divorced for years, and there was no point in regretting it now. Unless he and Natasha remarried, and he promised he'd be extremely careful in his second marriage.
John and Wade left the storage room where the washing machine and dryer were located.
Wade would need some time for the laundry to be finished, so he could stay at John's house a little longer and even get a free dinner.
Helen was preparing dinner in the kitchen, with John helping her. Natasha said she wanted to help too, but Wade stopped her.
"Helen's cooking skills are a hundred times better than yours, you know that?"
“I know I’m not a good cook, but I’m not going to sit around waiting for dinner,” Natasha said to Wade.
“You can’t help at all; the dinner they’re making is something you can’t get anywhere else,” Wade said.
"Don't exaggerate like that, Wade," Helen said, turning around with a smile from beside the stove.
"Natasha, would you like my recipe? I can lend you a copy."
"What is this pot of snow-white stuff? Is it special butter?" Natasha asked curiously. There were so many things in John's kitchen that she didn't recognize.
“It’s lard,” Helen replied.
"I put lard in every dish I make."
"Wade said I'm a great cook, and the secret is in this pot of lard."
Chapter 227 Green Drinks and Blue Drinks
On the last day of school before Thanksgiving break, everyone was relaxed, with only one final exam left. Regardless of how they did, the school would organize make-up exams for subjects they failed after the break.
"According to my research, sandwiches are a type of Chinese food."
"Harry, did the history exam confuse you?"
Li Qun carefully observed Harry's complexion; he showed no allergic reaction, nor did he have a fever or cold.
Harry is also eating his allergy-free, specially made, nutritionally complete sandwich today. He has to open his mouth very wide to take a bite of his sandwich.
"I was serious."
"There is a local specialty snack in Aurora called 'roujiamo' (Chinese hamburger)."
Li Qun could understand Harry's pronunciation of "roujiamo" (Chinese hamburger), so Harry's idea wasn't just a spur-of-the-moment thought.
"Mo is a round bread baked in an oven."
"Roujiamo is made by cutting a steamed bun in half and stuffing meat in the middle."
"The sandwich was improved from the roujiamo (Chinese meat sandwich). The improvement made by Sir John Montagu, the British inventor of the sandwich, was to add vegetables, cheese and sauce."
"Is that so?" Peter noted in his mind that the British sandwich originated from the Chinese roujiamo.
"Alright." Li Qun could only nod in agreement.
Li Qun was worried that if he said anything more against it, Harry would make him make roujiamo (Chinese meat sandwich) for them, to prove with the food that roujiamo is not a sandwich.
“Here’s something interesting: the shape of the map where roujiamo originated is very similar to the outline of a map of England,” Li Qun said.
"East of England is the Netherlands, and the province next to the roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) is pronounced Henan."
"The political center of Roujiamo Province has a landmark ancient building, a clock tower, while London also has a representative building, Big Ben."
"The National Time Service Center of Aurora is located in Roujiamo Province, and Greenwich Mean Time, the world standard time, originated from the United Kingdom, so there is a temporal and spatial correspondence."
"Cool!!" Gwen exclaimed.
Harry, Peter, and Stephanie seemed to understand, while Gwen, who was learning Chinese, had a more concrete understanding of the examples from Li Qun.
“Britain once called itself ‘the city on which the sun never sets,’ and it also has the cultural name ‘the city that never sleeps,’” Li Qun added, suggesting a similarity between the two.
"Harry, how do you know about roujiamo (Chinese hamburger)?" Gwen asked curiously.
Good things are meant to be shared, and I just happened to be one of those people.
"Liqun, do you know how to make roujiamo (Chinese hamburger)?" Harry turned to look at Liqun.
"Okay, so we can't escape this step after all?"
Harry laughed when he heard what Li Qun said.
"I saw it on TV, a cooking show called 'Chef King Competition.' The show invites top chef teams from all over the world to compete against each other. It's so good!" Harry explained.
"You would never guess that a third of the chefs representing Britain were Indian."
“Indian food actually tastes pretty good, but hygiene depends on the chef’s professionalism,” Li Qun said.
“Curry is a British dish, can you imagine?” Harry’s exaggerated expression amused Stephanie.
“I thought it was Japanese food,” Peter said.
“Let me guess, Miyagi Pizza has launched curry pizza again?” Li Qun looked at Peter.
“Curry beef pizza and curry chicken pizza,” Peter replied.
“One day, Goro Miyagi and his master will be killed by the Italian Mafia,” Li Qun said.
“Before the Italian Mafia takes them down, they’ll deal with the guys who put fruit on pizzas first,” Gwen said.
"Putting fruit on pizza is Hawaiian pizza, and Hawaiian pizza was invented by the Japanese," Harry said.
"Harry, you've started researching the origins of food?" Peter asked.
"It's also a science popularization program on TV."
“Harry, do you watch TV all the time when you get home?” Peter continued to ask.
“I’m watching TV with my father. We might be starting a new business, and he’s watching TV to find inspiration,” Harry Osborne replied.
"Your TV programs and commercials are all aimed at the general public. Are you planning to enter the cosmetics industry? Or the industrial food industry, which produces canned chicken soup that doesn't contain any chicken?" Li Qun asked.
“I’d prefer processed food, and I feel that’s the most likely,” Harry said.
"Because of my allergies, my father used me to conduct food allergy research since I was a child... I'm just kidding."
“My father is very concerned about food safety. He would never produce food that would cause allergies.”
……
……
Inside Osborne Manor, Norman, Leopold, and the butler Bernard are also renovating the Secret Chamber behind the study. The renovation will have to stop once Harry finishes his exams and begins his Thanksgiving holiday.
Of the three, only Norman had some experience in interior design when he was young, which meant that Norman put in the most effort throughout the entire renovation process, both physically and mentally.
Every day when Harry came home from school, Norman Osborne would curl up on the sofa watching TV, without nagging or lecturing Harry, simply because he was too tired from the day to talk to Harry much.
Physical exhaustion, coupled with the constant bombardment of television programs and commercials, gave Norman a new idea.
