“I know that Stark Industries offers a trade-in program for home appliances,” Peter said.

“That’s a rule his dad set, and Tony Stark won’t change his dad’s rules,” Harry said.

“Howard Stark is a truly good person,” Li Qun said with some regret.

“I have a conspiracy theory: Howard Stark was killed by an assassin hired by someone on the Stark board of directors,” Harry whispered to the three of them.

“Howard Stark and his wife died in a car accident, but there was very little traffic on that road, so the accident could only have happened if an oncoming driver had deliberately run them over.”

“Harry, if the conspiracy theory were true, wouldn’t a smart guy like Tony Stark have thought of it?” Li Qun retorted.

“So what if Tony Stark finds out? He’ll still have to worry about getting killed by someone else,” Harry said.

“I’ll go ask Wade,” Li Qun said.

"Wade? Does he know much about this?" Gwen was puzzled.

……

……

Wade sneezed; he was cleaning the pawn shop with a feather duster.

The ventilation design of the old building is not good. If it is not cleaned for three days, a layer of dust will be covered in the store.

Li Qun pushed open the door, and Wade looked up and saw it was Li Qun, then turned away in disappointment and continued cleaning.

"How did the exam go?" Wade asked.

"Perform your usual performance."

"That's fine."

"Working in the shop must be boring, right?"

"It's pretty boring, but not too boring," Wade said.

“My father’s pawn shop is like a dragon’s treasure trove; it’s full of treasures, and I happen to be someone who knows their stuff.”

"Would you like to buy everything in the store?" Li Qun asked.

“If I keep it in the store, I can see and touch it anytime. If I buy it, I won’t be able to see it anymore,” Wade told Li Qun.

“I’m going to see John tomorrow, Liqun, are you coming?” Wade asked.

"Looking for John? Is it to introduce Miss Mary to a friend?" Li Qun asked.

"Taking it with you is just a side thing."

“John is planning to buy another car and needs my advice, since I used to be a used car sales manager,” Wade said.

"What kind of new car does John want?" Li Qun asked.

“He said he wanted to go on a road trip with Helen, and I think there are only two types of vehicles to choose from: a motorhome or a classic five-door station wagon,” Wade said.

"However, I don't recommend John buy a motorhome."

“What good will it do if I come along?” Li Qun asked Wade.

“You can help by acting as a family member, pretending to be John and Helen’s child, to test the car’s passenger capacity during the test drive,” Wade said.

"Parents and children, two dogs, luggage for a road trip..."

"Is Dad upstairs?" Li Qun asked.

“Of course not, Dad’s with Dr. Banner,” Wade replied.

"Wade, when do you plan to have Dr. Banner extract your spinal cord stem cells?"

“It’s all set up,” Wade told Li Qun.

"So fast?"

“For a normal person, it seems like a very harmful thing to insert a needle into the gap between the spines to extract some spinal fluid, but I am not a normal person.”

"I'll go and see the Holy of Holies."

“Dad might be helping Dr. Banner look after the Sanctum Sanctorum, and Dr. Banner might be researching my spinal stem cells in his lab,” Wade said.

"Wade, what do you want for dinner?" Li Qun asked.

"Can I eat something to cool down? I still have blisters on my tongue," Wade said, sticking out his tongue.

"Your self-healing ability didn't work for your internal heat?" Li Qun asked curiously.

“Dad said this is a normal feedback mechanism of the human body, and it’s different from the damage the body has suffered, so it’s normal for the self-healing ability not to work,” Wade said seriously.

"It's still within my tolerance range. If I can't bear it anymore, I'll cut off my tongue and let it grow back."

“You’re terrifying.” Li Qun opened a portal and went to the Sanctuary.

Inside the Sanctuary, Dr. Banner and his father were chatting. Dr. Banner was not in seclusion researching Wade's spinal cord stem cells.

"How did the exam go?" the old man asked Li Qun, and Dr. Banner also looked over with concern.

"How many points do you think you can get?" Dr. Banner asked.

“The total score is 1600 points, and you need at least 1400 points,” Li Qun told Dr. Banner.

"You only dare to estimate such a low score? If it were me, I would say I could get a perfect score," Dr. Banner said.

"Is there a perfect score option?" Li Qun asked Dr. Banner, puzzled.

The SAT exam is divided into Verbal and Math sections, and Liqun never thought anyone could get a perfect score on the Verbal section.

But then I thought about it again, and the so-called "Chinese" in the exam is not the same as the "Chinese" in the Chinese language exam, so there seems to be a possibility that the test paper will be graded with full marks.

“No.” Bruce Banner laughed, and Li Qun felt like he had been fooled by Dr. Banner.

“You are my student. Only a score of 1500 or above can prove that I am a qualified teacher,” Dr. Banner said to Li Qun.

"I didn't have this much trouble when I was in college," Dad said, puzzled.

"Dad, how many years ago was it when you went to college?" Li Qun asked.

“At least forty years ago,” the old man replied after thinking for a moment.

“Forty years ago, there were no unified university entrance exams like we have now. If you wanted to go to a university, you had to take the exam organized by that university, or you could get in based on connections or money, thanks to a letter of recommendation from someone,” Dr. Banner said.

Chapter 254 Hierarchical Consciousness

How did it get here?

Wade Wilson's dog, Miss Mary Page Vanveen, is gnawing on a large bone on the kitchen floor of the Sanctuary.

Miss Mary opened her mouth wide, but could only scrape off a tiny bit of something from the side of the large bone.

It enjoys this bone with meat all to itself.

Liqun squatted down to observe Miss Mary. She was tired from eating and lay on the bone, her tongue stretched out, licking it hard, but she couldn't defeat the bone no matter how hard she tried.

"She's my best friend now."

The old man squatted down next to Li Qun with a grin, and Miss Mary immediately ran to him when she saw his action.

“That’s perfectly normal,” Bruce Banner said.

Dogs have a sense of hierarchy.

"In this dog's eyes, Dad is of a higher rank than Wade. She probably sees Dad as the leader of the pack, while Wade seems to be considered to be on the same level as herself."

“Wade works for his dad and lives in his dad’s house, so his situation is pretty much the same,” Li Qun complained.

“Yes, so the dog figured it out,” Dr. Banner said.

“Wade must be very sad, right?” Li Qun asked.

“He won’t be sad, Dad, what do you think?” Dr. Banner looked at his father, who was playing with Miss Mary.

"I've never seen a dog with such distinctive features, with messy white fur on its head, a wrinkled face, and that super long tongue." The old man lifted Miss Mary up.

“I’ve never seen it before either. To be honest, when I first saw this dog, I thought it had escaped from Chernobyl,” Dr. Banner said.

“It’s just ugly,” Li Qun said.

“The puppy can’t stand hearing that,” the old man said, covering Miss Mary’s ears.

Mary isn't a fluffy little dog; she doesn't have much fur, and in this weather, she needs to wear a dog coat to keep warm.

“She is indeed a well-behaved dog. She doesn’t bark or run around, and she even goes to the bathroom to take care of her bodily needs,” Dr. Banner said to Miss Mary as he spoke to Li Qun.

“My dad trained her, but I didn’t expect her to learn so quickly. I’ve been busy with exams lately and feel like I’ve missed out on so much,” Li Qun said.

"Liqun, if you're free lately, could you tutor Wade in math?" the old man said.

"Did Wade make a mistake in the accounts?" Li Qun asked curiously.

“I bought him a few math workbooks. You can supervise him to do a few pages each day and then correct them.”

"I simply couldn't stand his slow calculation ability."

"Okay. Dad, you don't need to give me examples of what Wade did."

"I am now..."

Li Qun made a gesture, indicating that he should go and supervise Wade doing his "homework" right now, and the old man nodded to Li Qun.

Li Qun returned to the pawn shop, where Wade sat on a recliner behind the counter watching the television hanging on the wall.

"It's only eight o'clock. Why are you back so early today?" Wade glanced at the clock.

"Dad gave me a task. Wade, where did he put the math problems Dad bought you?"

“In my room.” Wade got up from the recliner, feeling his leisure time was over, and went upstairs dejectedly.

Wade placed the arithmetic problems on the counter, stood up, and began to work on them, while Liqun stood beside him watching him answer.

Wade, pencil in hand, solved a math problem in three minutes. Li Qun thought Wade's math skills were indeed problematic; he only needed to read the problem to know the answer.

Wade looked up at Li Qun.

"Don't look at me like that. I can do it very quickly with a calculator."

"I'll give you a calculator."

Li Qun took out his phone and gave it to Wade to use as a calculator, but Wade's efficiency didn't improve with the phone calculator; in fact, he calculated even slower.
