"Antivenom serum? What kind of toxin?" Li Qun asked.

"Naturally, it's a biological toxin, such as one that can be used to develop a universal antivenom. By controlling the dosage of snake venom and having Wade continuously test it, Wade's body will gradually develop antibodies against the snake venom. By constantly changing the types of snake venom, Wade's snake venom antibodies will become more and more comprehensive."

Dr. Banner's explanation is relatively simple, but the actual operation is more complicated.

"If a universal antivenom serum is successfully developed, will I be able to win the Nobel Prize in Medicine?" Wade asked Dr. Banner.

"You're ready to join the Nobel Prize club."

What kind of club is this?

“The club is full of people who are capable of winning the Nobel Prize; everyone is in line waiting to receive it,” Dr. Banner replied.

“I’m in there too,” Dr. Banner added.

“Dr. Banner, didn’t you already take it?” Li Qun asked.

“I received the Nobel Prize in Physics, and other awards are waiting for me,” Dr. Banner replied.

"The antitoxin project can save many people, and there is also Wade's own personal project."

"Personal project?"

"Liqun, you know what alcohol does to people, right?" Wade laughed.

“In Norway, a scientist who was an alcoholic published a paper saying that the human body is missing 0.05% alcohol concentration in its blood, and that by replenishing this tiny percentage, a person can become stronger,” Dr. Banner said.

“It sounds like he’s making excuses for drinking,” Dad said.

“The alcoholic scientist was a university professor. He and other teachers at the school conducted experiments together. After increasing their blood alcohol concentration by 0.05%, they did experience significant changes. However, controlling their blood alcohol concentration at 0.05% was very difficult; they always exceeded the limit. During the experiments, some people died due to excessive alcohol levels,” Dr. Banner continued.

"This seems like a study specifically designed for me. I don't need to worry about excessive alcohol consumption; I won't die from alcohol poisoning," Wade said, spreading his arms and smiling.

Chapter 278 Differences Between People

"I will seriously study the theory of enhancing human comprehensive abilities at a blood alcohol concentration of 0.05%."

Li Qun found a printed paper on alcohol concentration on Dr. Banner's desk and read it while eating hot pot.

"Wade, have you considered the issue of alcohol dependence?"

"Just like the research on antivenom, initially only a 0.05% blood alcohol concentration was needed to make you incredibly confident and do things you couldn't do before. Over time, you gradually find that you need a higher blood alcohol concentration to achieve the same effect as the initial 0.05% concentration."

"It even got to the point where one day you could release your blood and actually set it on fire with a lighter."

“Dad, what you’re saying is a bit alarmist,” Wade said with a smile.

“My research on alcohol started much, much earlier than yours. You weren’t even born when I started drinking,” the old man said earnestly.

“What Dad means is that we can’t let our blood alcohol concentration drop below 0.05% all the time,” Li Qun said.

"There's nothing right now that requires me to become a super soldier this way."

"However, I need to practice a bit and get a feel for what a blood alcohol concentration of 0.05% feels like to me."

“Honestly, this paper was published a bit late. If I had seen it two months earlier, I could have beaten Steve,” Wade said.

"I'm not even drunk yet, but my confidence has increased by 1000%," Li Qun complained.

“Haven’t the military been craving super soldiers? Haven’t they discovered the simplest way?” Wade asked Dr. Banner.

"The effects of alcohol have always been considered more harmful than beneficial. It's easy to get a blood alcohol concentration of 0.05% in a person; just one sip of vodka will do. But it's impossible to get soldiers to drink just one sip before they go into battle," Dr. Banner said, looking at Wade.

“Wade, you need to consider one thing: you are different from ordinary people.”

"For ordinary people, taking a sip can simply make them more confident, more talkative, enhance their social skills, and make their thinking more active."

"For you, alcohol unlocks your physical limitations. You gain strength, faster nerve reactions, enhanced thinking ability, and greater pain and resilience."

“With the alcohol concentration increasing further, Wade even dared to take on Hulk one-on-one,” Li Qun said.

“Hulk can also increase the blood alcohol concentration, and Hulk won’t worry about alcohol poisoning,” Hulk said, and Banner shook his head.

"That won't work for me and Hulk."

"After I give my body to the Hulk, my bodily functions will be enhanced to an indescribable degree. No matter how much alcohol I drink, my body can metabolize it in a very short time," Dr. Banner explained.

"What if you don't transform?" Li Qun asked.

"The body cannot be controlled by one's mind; you are not the master of your body."

"Could a 0.05% alcohol concentration theoretically treat mental illness?" Li Qun began to speculate.

"This direction has been studied before. It has a promoting effect on aggravating the patient's condition; drinking a couple of sips before the onset of the disease can immediately trigger an attack," Dr. Banner replied after a moment's thought.

"I think it depends on who you're raising your blood alcohol level with."

"If five good friends raise their alcohol levels together, even the most troubled mind will find relief, right?" Wade said.

"The greatest magic is the magic of friendship," the thought suddenly popped into Li Qun's mind.

“Very good, you go and become friends with Joe first,” the old man said to Li Qun.

……

……

"Flash and his gang have gone mad, saying they want to have a winter swimming party."

"We need to stay away from them, lest they catch a cold and infect us."

Li Qun and Liz sat together during free time in physical education class, and Li Qun listened to Liz talk about the daily lives of the mainstream figures on campus.

"Are there any Slavs in our grade?" Li Qun asked Liz.

"They're all on the school team; they were definitely the ones who instigated it."

“I’ve seen winter swimming in the morning, and the swimmers only go in for a few seconds before coming ashore,” Li Qun told Liz.

"What kind of winter swimming is this? What they consider winter swimming is swimming 100 meters back and forth in icy water," Liz said.

"That's it, we're doomed."

"Should we tell the principal? Our rising star is trying to ruin himself." Li Qun turned to look at Liz.

“Don’t tell anyone I told you,” Liz said to Liqun.

“Sneak an anonymous letter to the principal to let him know. When they go swimming in the East River this weekend, call the NYPD and the TV station as well,” Li Qun said.

“Hey, they’ll hate you,” Gwen said to him from the other side of the group.

Li Qun, Peter, and a few others sat in a row in the stadium's stands, while Flair played basketball with others below the stands.

"The school has a swimming pool, and it even has a fancy heated pool," Harry said, peeking out.

“But the school doesn’t allow it, and there’s been no water in the swimming pool since the start of the semester,” Liz said.

“Cleaning the swimming pool is tiring; it was Stan Lee’s least favorite job,” Li Qun said.

“Liqun, do you know what swimming pool cleaners are called?” Gwen asked Liqun.

“Pool guy.” Li Qun turned to look at Gwen, who smiled at him.

“You know that,” Gwen said.

"What has your online Chinese teacher taught you?" Li Qun asked, puzzled.

“Isn’t this just everyday language?” Gwen asked with a smile.

"What's wrong with the pool cleaner?" Peter asked, puzzled, as he sat next to Gwen.

“In Chinese dialects, this pronunciation is an insult,” Li Qun explained to Peter.

“I got it,” Harry said, smiling as he poked his head out.

“I’ve got it too,” Stephanie said to Li Qun, peeking out from next to Harry.

"What exactly does it mean?" Peter asked curiously.

"When someone falls down in the street, it means bad luck. You can use it to insult others or to make fun of yourself," Li Qun explained to Peter.

“Flash is going to be in trouble,” Peter said with a laugh.

A basketball flew from the court into the stands. Peter raised his hand and caught it, while Gwen and Harry next to him didn't even realize what was happening.

“Things are different now; practicing kung fu is still quite useful,” Peter said calmly, throwing the basketball back with a slight effort.

On the field, Flash and his friends beckoned to the audience, trying to get Peter, Li Qun, and Harry to come down and play, but Peter waved them off.

“If you say Flash isn’t smart, he got credits in every subject and can graduate. But if you look at his daily behavior, you’d think he’s not smart; he’s always doing stupid things,” Gwen complained.

Chapter 279 Do you like kung fu?

In the clubroom, Li Qun and Peter were cutting out words from the newspaper, while Gwen and Liz were searching for the words they needed and marking them.

They didn't plan to handwrite the anonymous letter they were going to give to the principal; instead, they planned to piece together a letter for him, mimicking a scene from a movie.

“Peter, what are you laughing at?” Gwen asked Peter.

“I think this moment is beautiful,” Peter replied.

“What’s so great about it? I just think this idea is incredibly stupid,” Gwen said.

I don't think so.

"I just feel it's a bit of a pity about this letter. It was a work of art that we created together."

Harry was using glue to stick the cut-out words onto the letter paper. He was assembling sentences by referring to the letter written by Li Qun, a process somewhat like assembling Lego bricks.

More than ten minutes later, several people surrounded Harry, watching him stick on the last word.

"...It's done!"

Harry tightened the cap on the glue bottle, raised his hands high, and everyone began to applaud.

"Don't move yet, wait for the glue to dry," Harry said.

"When should we send out the anonymous letters?" Liz asked.

"The timing of the distribution is very important. It won't work in the morning. Old George is always the first person to arrive at school every day, so we can choose to distribute the supplies after they leave the school."

“Of course, I’ll be the one to do this,” Li Qun said.

"Are you alone? Do you need any help?" Harry asked Li Qun.
