The magic circle beneath Norman's feet emitted a dark red light, and red mist emanated from it. Unknown red particles entered Norman's body, transforming his vampire form, and Norman screamed.

A black, evil aura emanated from Norman's body, like bats.

Another portal appeared above Norman, and the black bats flew into it.

Bruce Banner's pupils turned completely green, emitting a green glow.

After the black bats left, the portal closed, and green mist flew out from Dr. Banner, battling against the red mist emanating from Norman's feet.

Dr. Banner used the Hulk's power step by step to suppress the unknown red mist back into the magic circle... until the Hulk's power destroyed the magic circle.

“That’s enough,” Dr. Banner said to Li Qun and Peter, who released the magical chains and let Norman lie on the floor.

Dr. Banner was covered in sweat, while Norman, lying on the floor, was trembling all over.

"We need to observe for a while longer."

Dr. Banner waved his hand, sending Norman back to his cell in the dungeon.

"Can we call Harry over now?" Peter wiped the sweat from his nervousness.

“Let Harry come over. If Norman still retains a vampire side, he will still crave Harry’s blood,” Dr. Banner said.

Li Qun opened a portal and brought Harry over. The four of them stood in front of the cell, looking at Norman lying there.

"What is wrong with me……"

Norman slowly got up and found himself like a marine fish trapped in an aquarium, with four people watching him from outside the 'glass window'.

“Harry, how did I get in here? Let me out!” Norman Osborn pounded on the observation window.

"Not yet, Dad."

“You were infected with a highly contagious virus. You’ve just recovered, and we’re not sure if you can still infect us,” Harry said.

A highly contagious disease—that's the explanation that Li Qun, Peter, and Harry came up with, and they all agreed on the same story.

“I don’t remember anything. And I’m so hungry right now,” Norman said.

Harry, Peter, and Li Qun exchanged glances; they had discussed this situation before. The human brain has a protective mechanism that sometimes makes people forget things that have harmed them.

“Dad, you’ve had a high fever these past few days,” Harry said.

"How many days has it been? How's the company doing?" Norman asked anxiously.

“You appointed Uncle Walter as acting CEO, and the company is running smoothly,” Harry replied.

"I vaguely remember this incident."

Norman sat down on the ground, clutching his head. He tried hard to recall, and the image of him drawing his own blood for research in the laboratory came to mind.

Harry's argument has temporarily gained traction.

Chapter 404 Generous and Pleasing

"Another one..."

"Yes, another one."

"Aren't you going to return it?" Old Wang asked Bruce Banner.

“I tried, but the guy refused,” Banner replied.

Old Wang, the librarian of Kamar-Taj, looked at the "Dark Book" that Banner had sent him and became worried.

Kamar-Taj's library already contains a copy of the Dark Book, placed in the forbidden section and sealed by generations of sorcerers, normally prohibiting any sorcerer from reading it.

This new Book of Darkness is going to be very troublesome to deal with.

"Destroy it," Old Wang said.

"Don't even think about it, Old Wang. If I could destroy it, would I have brought it to the library?" Bruce Banner said.

"You're responsible for resolving the trouble you caused," Old Wang said with a bitter face, his arms crossed.

"You can't put the two 'Dark Books' together, they might resonate and break the magical seal on the older book," Old Wang warned.

"How far is enough?" Banner asked Old Wang, who was an expert in managing these magic books.

"It's not just about spatial distance, but cognitive distance. It's about preventing people from realizing that there are two copies of the 'Dark Book' in this library," Old Wang said.

“Putting it in the Sanctuary… no, the book itself is a source of pollution, it will corrupt the power of the ley lines,” Banner said.

"How about this, you have Hulk throw your new 'Dark Book' towards the sun, and throw the book off the Earth."

"If a book flies towards the sun, it will eventually fly into the sun, and there's no risk of it being picked up by someone," Old Wang said.

"Will the power of the sun destroy the Dark Book? What if the sun destroys the vessel of dark power, and the dark power returns to Earth through solar radiation?" Banner asked.

Venus, or Mercury?

"These two planets are safer than the sun, aren't they?" Old Wang said.

"can."

Bruce Banner thought about it and decided it was feasible.

"Let's do it this way."

"Let me calculate it..."

Bruce Banner left the Kamar-Taj Library and went to several astronomical observatories in Europe and America to look for recent astronomical observation data.

Banner had no interest in this "Dark Book," which contained more information than the one in the Kamar-Taj Library.

It is currently October. From early to late October, Mercury appears as a morning star in the eastern sky before sunrise, with mid-October being the best time to observe it.

After conducting several tests and completing all preparations for launching the Dark Book, Bruce Banner had Hulk throw the Dark Book off Earth from the optimal launch site, sending this evil book flying toward Mercury.

As long as intelligent life is kept away from the Dark Book, it remains merely an "inanimate object."

Have a pleasant journey.

Banner looked up at the sky, using magic to sense the Dark Book and ensure that it left Earth intact, without any pages falling apart and remaining on the planet during its flight.

……

……

What virus did I have before?

Norman Osborne looked at the "strange" food on the table, annoyed that his diet had been permanently altered by this bizarre virus.

After Norman turned back into a human, he found himself craving animal entrails.

Aside from Americans not eating offal, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, and even England all have offal recipes. During his convalescence at home, Norman had his family chef prepare different offal dishes for him every day. He especially loved German blood sausage and insisted on having it every day.

"Dad, Dr. Banner said you were infected with a super-evolved virus caused by the Super Soldier Serum, a super virus that has never been seen before."

"Has the virus spread?" Norman looked at the company's reports, worried that this "virus" incident would affect the Osborn Group.

“So Leopold got infected too, but he’s all better now,” Harry replied.

"How is Leopold? Has he also taken a liking to offal?" Norman asked.

“The virus may have weakened during its spread; now he might just like to eat some raw meat,” Harry said.

"Raw meat?"

Norman frowned; at least the offal he ate was cooked.

“For example, I like to eat steak well-done, and I like German pork sandwiches and JP sashimi sushi,” Harry gave Norman as examples.

Norman was wearing a bathrobe. He was so thin he looked like a dried-up corpse, and his face was deathly pale. However, his lips still had some color, so he wasn't in too bad a state. His physical condition could be gradually improved.

"You must keep the supervirus a secret. Don't tell anyone," Norman said seriously to Harry.

“Only a few of us know about this; the board of directors and the military don’t know either,” Harry replied seriously.

"Can they keep their mouths shut?" Norman expressed distrust towards Li Qun, Gwen, Peter, and the other "outsiders."

“Dad, we can only trust them, and Peter and the others saved your life,” Harry said.

"We really need to thank them properly."

“Transfer some money to each of them,” Norman said.

"Isn't this a bit inappropriate?" Harry looked at Norman.

“Harry, stop with the formalities, thanking them with money is the best thing to do,” Norman said.

“What if they don’t accept it?” Harry asked.

“I will go to your school and set up a special scholarship program that includes all of your names, so that the school can give you money.”

“Bruce Banner needs a lot of funding for his research, and as an adult, he understands the importance of money. I believe he won’t refuse,” Norman said.

"Dad, how much money are you planning to give?"

“Columbia’s tuition is $50,000 per semester. Your friends each give $400,000 so they can finish college,” Norman said.

“Excellent,” Harry exclaimed.

“Do any of them have student loans?” Norman asked.

“No.” Harry shook his head.

“That’s good.” Norman nodded.

"Does Stephanie have one too?" Harry asked.

"of course."

Giving $400,000 to each of Li Qun, Peter, Gwen, and Stephanie was just a small sum for Norman Osborne, and he gave it without any pressure.

“Where’s Leopold?” Harry asked again.

“Leopold is a traditional person, so giving him money directly would be inappropriate; we need to be more tactful.”

“He likes performing and he likes being an actor, so let’s register a film company and make a few movies for him.”

“Hammer Industries has its own Hammer Films, and we in Osborne need to have our own film company too,” Norman said.

“Dad, have you read the newspaper? Uncle Walter, while acting CEO, acquired a rural fried chicken fast food chain,” Harry reminded him.

“He likes fried chicken, so let him have it,” Norman said nonchalantly.
