Chapter 50 The Last Day of the Semester

"Bye, Mr. Adrian, Liz."

"Lyon, Peter, will you be coming again next weekend? We can have a barbecue together in the backyard," Adrian asked Peter and Li Qun reluctantly.

"We need to see if Liz still has any doubts about the final exams."

“Okay, Liz probably still has a lot she doesn’t understand.”

Adrian waved goodbye to the two boys, while Gwen stood on the street corner waiting for Li Qun and Peter.

Gwen looked at Peter's slightly upturned lips and knew that Peter must be in a great mood right now.

Just as Gwen's sweet words made Liz and her friends feel ecstatic, Peter was also made ecstatic by Mary Jane's sweet words.

"A little higher," the old man said.

Li Qun changed into a white vest for practicing martial arts, revealing clearly defined muscles on his upper body. Every movement during his warm-up was powerful and energetic, completely belying his bookish appearance when he was wearing a jacket.

Flash walked away with a grin, chatting with his football teammates about taking driving tests.

Li Qun stuffed his backpack to the brim, which was full of books.

"Liqun, how do you have so many books?"

"I saved it up by accident."

After leaving the teaching building, the two met up with Gwen on campus.

Gwen was carrying a large tote bag, which, unlike Li Qun's, was filled with books, but rather with many strange and unusual little things.

Outside the campus, many students set up stalls on the street to sell things they couldn't take home or didn't want to take home this semester.

Li Qun saw people selling toads and snakes.

“How come I didn’t notice anyone keeping snakes at the school?” Li Qun asked.

“Our school really has a lot of oddballs,” Li Qun said.

“Watch your mouth.” Gwen elbowed Li Qun.

“Gwen, have you noticed? This is a food chain.”

“I can buy insects, toads, and snakes, feed the toads with insects, feed the snakes with toads, and then only need to raise snakes,” Li Qun said.

“You’re so evil,” Gwen remarked.

“If I buy a snake and take it home, I’ll see my uncle stew it into snake soup that very night,” Li Qun said.
