"And that's why we won't need to hurry, but we can't slack off either. Let's go team, it's time to hunt some levels and food!"

The three kobolds then went back to the wolf's den first to take a sip of water from the water container that they refilled every day. When they came out again, Matthew saw that Ethan had brought his magic staff today instead of leaving it at the wolf's den just like yesterday.

He looked at Ethan and asked,

"So, are you already confident enough to use that now?"

"I actually wasn't good enough yet to carry out my initial plan of combining magic and my fist, but I have thought of a new trick that might possibly give me a huge advantage in the fight later!" Ethan replied enthusiastically"

"Alright then folks, let's go!"

Using their usual route to try and find any beasts to hunt that were either a group of deer or boars, Matthew and the three kobolds soon met with a group of boars after a while instead of the group of deer.

Matthew had devised a quick plan for them as fighting the boars were slightly different from the deers as they had different characteristics and response when they were being surrounded. The three kobolds all heard Matthew's instructions and they all planned to follow them since it was easy to understand, pretty straightforward, and simple yet seems to be effective for their circumstances.

Matthew then activated the wolf's aura ability then soon covered the three kids' bodies with the hazy white aura. They were about to commence Matthew's plan, but Ethan suddenly said that he had something that he wanted to try first.

He had a plan in mind before on how to make use of his magical ability in the fight, but now that he was empowered again by Matthew's wolf aura ability, he felt that he was able to improvise his initial plan and improve his initial spell with the surge of power from the wolf aura ability that had also boosted his ability to cast magic.

Ethan said that he will use a spell to begin their fight and they all should go to their own positions that they had agreed before and patiently wait for him to give them a signal that they will never miss.

The four of them then split up, each of them went in 4 different directions with the boar right in the middle of them and their initial plan was to just ambush the boars from all sides and siege them until they were forced to do their sacrificial attack and purposely let 2 of the boars go while keeping the other three in check.

But with Ethan coming up with an idea that may make them achieve their goal easier, the group decided to trust Ethan and wait for him to do his thing.

Ethan then began to hold his magic staff with his left hand as he left his right palm open facing the sky. He then started to say the magic chants before fire particles started to gather at the top of the wooden magic staff.

Soon, a fire at the size of Ethan's fist was summoned and it floated a few centimeters on top of Ethan's magic staff. Ethan then moved the small fire towards his right hand that had already prepared to receive the flame with his palm opened.

The flame was currently floating peacefully at Ethan's right palm, but it wouldn't stay that way for long as Ethan began to do his spell.

With his right hand and the flame staying still, Ethan began to raise his left hand that was still holding onto the staff and began to move his left hand in a circular motion right above his right hand, which still had the flame sitting calmly a few centimeters above it.

At first, there was no chance whatsoever, but as the magic staff kept on circling on top of the small flame, the flame started to change its shape to a round ball of fire. Basically, it had turned into a fireball.

But Ethan wasn't done as more red particles started to gather following the movements of the magic staff and went inside the fireball.

The fireball started to grow as more and more red particles gathered into the fireball and combined with each other to make the fireball bigger.

It didn't stop growing at a rapid speed until the fireball was almost as big as the fire H***** that Ethan had successfully cast yesterday without using his magic staff and he stopped moving his magic staff in circles above the considerably large fireball.

He was contemplating on whether he should continue to pour in more fire elements and risk losing control of the fireball.

However, now that he got the magic staff and Matthew's aura ability with him, it was a different story. Slowly and full of caution, Ethan steeled his resolve and resumed moving his magic staff in circles around the fireball.

The fireball had grown a decent times bigger compared to the biggest he had made yesterday. He wanted to make it even bigger, but as just people were afraid to blow into a balloon the more it grew bigger, Ethan stopped pumping the fireball with fire elements and now he focused on the target of his spell.

With the fireball that was slightly bigger than his own head, Ethan was struggling to keep the huge fireball that was still floating on top of his right palm under control.

Slowly moving his wooden magic staff towards the ball of flame.

He found this out when he was trying some things with magic and with his magic staff, and what he found out was, the wooden magic staff was immune to the fire that it had summoned.

So when the magic staff that was purely made out of wood touched the ball of flame, it didn't start to burn. Rather, it started to fit into the middle of the fireball. And when Ethan raised his magic staff, the fireball went along with it as if it was connected with the fireball, leaving his right palm.

Ethan then repeated countless times in his head where he wanted the spell to fly to and instilled his will as best he can towards the massive ball of fire.

He then pointed the magic staff that now had a big red fireball attached to the top of it towards one of the boars that were in the middle of the group.

He was currently standing about 30 meters away from the group of boars and he was hidden behind several bushes that were standing between him and the group of boars.

He was sure that the chance of the bush catching fire was more than ninety percent if not certain, but he believed that he could gather the fire later and prevent it from spreading everywhere.

With that in mind, Ethan dumped all distracting thoughts that appeared in his head and focused on the body of a boar that was still visible yet hard to see due to the bushes.

When his thoughts were focused on only the boar, Ethan held his breath before bringing up his staff and swung it towards the boar in the distance.

The fireball rapidly flew, passing the two bushes, leaving 2 holes bigger than Ethan's head on the bushes.

He could see the charred outline on the hole in the bush, but his focus was not focused on the bushes that didn't burn. The fireball flew straight towards the body of the boar they had targeted before.

As the boar was startled and didn't know what was coming towards him at an incredible speed, it couldn't react in time and the huge fireball crashed against its body.

Just like a water balloon that had exploded when it hit a tough surface, the fireball exploded. Releasing sparks of fire on its surroundings and producing a sound that was even louder than before.

Before anyone, not even the boars, understood what had just happened, the surrounding went silent after the explosion. Ethan stared dumbly at the boar that was now lying lifeless on the ground with its body partially broken with charred pieces here and there, Ethan was sure that he had just killed a boar with one hit.

But the silence didn't stay for long as squeals were heard on his ears and not even a second after the squeals, he heard a familiar voice was shouting with even more vigor than the boars who were starting to run away,

"YOU RECKLESS KID, HURRY UP AND GATHER THE FIRE! I DON'T WANT TO BE TRAPPED IN A DAMNED FOREST FIRE!"
