"What are you trying to say?"

Jay was completely shocked as he wasn't expecting such an answer from a dragon.

"Haha... human... listen to me..."

Jay has nothing else to do. Due to his intelligence he had already realised that no one would come to rescue him. And on top of that since the black dragon took the initiative to chat, it would be good for him since he could survive for a bit more.

The Black Dragon starts speaking...

"Long ago... We dragons spread everywhere. We were found in the sky, the land and even the sea."

"Eh!? Isn't this an old fairy tale that I once read from my sister's book?" *thinking*

Jay was simply nodding his head and hearing keenly to what the dragon had to say.

"Our powers were so great that even the celestial Gods and supernatural beings were afraid to confront us... but have you humans ever imagined... what happened to us? How we went extinct?"

"Uh..." *thinking deeply*

After thinking for 10-30 seconds, Jay calmly asked, "Is it because you dragons fought among yourselves?"

"....." (The Black Dragon)

"....." (Jay Down)

There was silence for a few seconds.

"Or maybe not..."

"Hahahaha... you are indeed right human!"

Jay smiled at the Dragon's remarks.

The Black dragon continued...

"We started to fight among ourselves to find out the strongest among us... and that was our biggest mistake."

"Hmm..."

"Alas, many of the dragons were killed and only some remained. However, they believed that there should be only one dragon who will be the strongest and the KING"

"The... The King?"

Jay was surprised again when he heard this. It was quite astonishing to him as this was something he had already heard about... and that from...

"Even... even he had told me about this..."*thinking*

"However, the elder dragons were already wary of the great catastrophe that would have happened of all the remaining strong dragons would go out in war! So they planned out something...

"A... A plan?"

"What plan? Don't tell me he is thinking of eating me and then increase his power."

Jay's thoughts wandered.

"Yes, and that plan was to use other species to fight in their place..."

"Whaaattt!!?"

Jay started to think about the thing what the black dragon had just told.

And after thinking for a moment he said, "So...this means that all the dragons made a proxy who would fight in their place?"

Jay Down was so petrified after listening this that he started to swear continuously.

"Haha... you are indeed smarter than most humans. It was my right choice to choose you!"

"Ch-Choose me?"

"What does that mean? Choose me as his dinner?"

Jay was under the wrong impression for sometime. He constantly thought that he would be the dragon's meal soon.

"Haha... what I mean is... you will be my proxy now since this time we have decided to choose the humans... Hahahaha."

"..." (Jay Down)

Jay was Suddenly paralyzed after hearing this.

Even his thinking couldn't match up to what the Black Dragon had just told.

"Are... Are you kidding me? This time it's humans and you want me to be your proxy? Get lost you big lizard!!!"
