The Adventurer System

Chapter 154 - Britannica

On the vast surface, all the magic circles emitting uncontrollably lights as the planted traps activated.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Fire like a whirlwind, a land mine creating explosions, water sprinkle all over the place, and the new monster that respawns for activating the circles.

"Hurry run! We are not safe here!" Asarki worriedly yelled to them. "Grim protect those two, we must get out of here."

The force hardly pushing them back, which made them have a bad time escaping from their current position. One wrong move all of them would be separated into a different place.

"Asarki, what are you standing for? Come over the pillar would minimize the force and block sharps objects that flying." Yumiro called her.

Nevertheless, Asarki was petrified in her place, thinking why this happened to them in the very beginning.

"Stupid woman!"

[Physical transmission]

Yumiro suddenly enhanced his physical strength, to stop him from moving. He barely stood up, then tugged them closer to him.

"Back your senses, we can't survive here just wait for those traps passed off." He said with a weak tone while casting his skill at the same time. To lessen all the possible damage he could receive.

"Sorry, Grim. I lower my guard I didn't anticipate those adventurers would stab our back." She said with a trembled voice.

By just looking at her, you could see the regrets and disappointment on her face.

"This is why you should not trust them, however, this is not the right time to blame yourself. We must do something since this pillar seems will fall at any moment."

He barely lifted her head, seeing the wide pillar started for having multiple cracks. In his mind, he will survive with this, but he was worried about Chirla and Yuki.

"This is bad if I just have any protective skills," Yumiro murmured.

"Grim, let me repay my mistake. I-Inventory." She stuttered. "To be honest, the first time you see me I was a rogue, however, I think not suitable for that class. So I decided to change my class into a cleric, the skill that I had right now is not quite good, yet, I should try."

"Hurry, Asarki. You should learn to not chitchat in this kind of situation. Do what you needed to do, you're the party leader here." Grim said while pushing the NPC closer to him.

She nodded with perseverance in her eyes. "Yes!" In her right grasp was a green magic staff.

[Heavenly Barrier!]

She widely raised her arms into mid-air, then suddenly, her body releasing thin magic but it easily covered all of them.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

...

Inside the tunnel, five adventurers were wandering around to find any resources and monsters that will be added to their experience.

"Malik, What you've done?! Why did you attack them?! They could die with that type of collision." A woman with a blue mask and sexy body said.

"Eh? Why that's exactly my plan, Morga." Malik replied arrogantly.

"I'm asking why? First of all, You're the one who attacks them first, then now you have the courage to revenge?" Morga complained as she showed that she was against Malik's decision.

"Why are you standing their side? We are the party here you should support. As we naturally PK Grim Draigh is also well-known as the KS specialist." He replied while having a malicious smile on his face.

They were 5 adventurers in the party, but Morga was the only one who had the strength to confront him.

"What you gonna do if he comes back, and PK us? You already have seen Grim Draigh's power and I could say no one of us stands a chance to defeat him." Morga explained the consequence.

"Do you know? Are you thinking too much, Morga. Did you see the scene out there? It's impossible for them to survive, so I were you I should focus on our expedition before I kicked you out! Huh!" Malik attained closer distance with Morgan's face and used his head to taunt her.

"I don't mind if you kicked me out, but kept my words. I can PK all of you here." Morga pushed his head back.

"Are you threatening me? Someone should teach you a lesson since you have a bad mouth." Malik pulled out his weapon.

"Hey, stop it, leader Malik! If you are going to fight this is not the right time, do it after this." Cirx intervened to them while casting a skill to separate them at once.

"You should be grateful, Malik. One wrong move, I'll not hesitate to PK you wherever you are, I'm always in your back." Morga warned him, then headed first.

The two other members just shook their heads. As they were dissatisfied with their actions.

However, a man with a bronze shield shrugged Malik's shoulder. "Malik, you should know the price, once they survived expect Grim Draigh would come after you." Noir said the fighter/tank of this party.

"Don't expect we will help you, just Morga said none of us could fight him. I don't want to die, so it's better to stay away from your issue." Another man with a gun and had eyeglasses said.

"Noir? Caliber? What did you say? We are a party here, we should resolve this problem together." Malik started to worry since no one would like to support him.

"You've done it with yourself, isn't it? So fix it with yourself." Caliber turned. "Let's go, find the resource we needed so we can disband the party with our useless party leader."

Malik gritted his teeth. "Damn it! Why did I pick members that were waiting outside of the portal?! Damn it!"

...

"Ahem! Ahem!"

The vast platform was enveloped by thick brown smoke, and the monster groaned that eager to take some adventurers.

"I can't see anything, tch!" He clicked his tongue, then felt there was a tough barrier from his behind. "Yuki? Chirla? Are you okay?" He asked the two women laid on the ground.

Nevertheless, no one tended to answer him as they seemed passed out.

"Asarki, tell me what's going on here?!" He hurriedly asked.

"They are fine--"

Thud!

Asarki also fell to the ground, she didn't pass out but she used all her mana with her skill. Which means she was unable to move any of her limbs.

"Hey, are you okay?"

"Yeah, but I ended up using my magic power. My mana I had right now is enough to cast one skill." Asarki said with a weak tone.

To be exact, a few days ago Asarki used 500 golds coins to change her rogue class into cleric class. Yet, the downside of it, all the free attributes she put would never turn back, which means her power and ability still belongs to the rogue class.

"Inventory!" He took one 3 HP potion and 1 MP potion, to recover all the strength that lost from his comrades. "Asarki, drink it." He did the same thing to the two NPC's.

10 minutes had easily passed, and the exact time on the viewscreen was around 1:00 PM. Moreover, the thick smoke was evaporated into the hole above them.

"Yuki, are you okay? Answer me?!" He shook her body to wake her up.

She held her head while some blood dripping on her face, it seemed Yuki got it when the first explosion occurred. As her head whacked to the ground.

"Chirla what about you?!"

Chirla kept coughing, yet she had the strength to answer back. "I think so, adventurer Grim. What just happened?"

More likely, Chirla lost her consciousness as the dark smoke suffocate her. Unlike, Grim and Asarki were immune from the smoke as they just their VR bodies. To clarify, Chirla was born in this world, pain, hatred, diseased, and all the human body could feel she could have it.

"I'll make sure, they will pay. No one would stop me."

"Grim, I'm sorry I still not able to weak. I ended up using all my mana, so then I need to wait for the next 10 minutes. Before I regain some of my strength." She clasping the ground, as she couldn't stop her emotion.

"Stop apologizing, you're not the one who made this." He gritted his teeth and planning to follow where the path Malik's party went. Yet, the 4 monsters in front of them stopped him.

"It's my fault, I rely too much on your power. I kept my mind no one will happen to us once you're around. I'm sorry, I'm really sorry, Grim. I'm not worthy to become your party leader neither party member."

"Stop it, Asarki. I should take the blame, no more words."

After he spits those words, he pointed his index finger to the violet plan-type monsters.

[Britannica Monsters]

- Element <poison> <plant>

- by using the poison it could easily digest everything it will eat.

- 5m meters height

- immune from water attack, and it also helps the monster from growing.

- Fire element has high damage.

Yumiro noticed by playing this VR game for too long, the system didn't give the skill of the monster just the obvious basic information.

"I didn't know what is your skill, but then, shall we end this?"
