The Adventurer System

Hippie gritted her teeth after seeing the monster respawned. When the blue light passed off at the scene.

"Hippie, get back for a while. We should be guaranteed none of those monsters could attack us until they're still invisible." Yumiro said in a low voice.

She nodded without hesitation. "Yes, Grim. Let's end this without making any mistakes." Hippie calmly responded.

Yumiro ordered Hippie to make a distance within those monsters. Since it could inflict high damage without taking any single damage from the Adventurers.

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Although Hippie could move faster, still, she couldn't catch up with Yumiro's speed. 'Grim speed is on a different level.'

Yumiro took a glance at her as he noticed this woman thinking something about him. 'Hmm... She was faster than I thought, why she didn't use that earlier. So she avoids making a lot of trouble to me.' He uttered then his mind.

When their distance within the monsters was around 72 meters. Both of them slid on the surface at the same time.

"Even we succeed to make a distance with them. You shouldn't lower your guard, those Gobogrens could reduce that margin in an instant." Yumiro warned her since he witnessed how exactly this type of monster could move.

She nodded with a grin on her face and seemed her personality suddenly changed into a different one.

"Yeah... I know, Grim. You can count on me for this. I'll win this at any cost." She barely raised her right, then clenched her hand into a fist.

In the VR world, you must not rely on what your eyes could see. Because of the monster's outwards appearance, neither adventurers had a big difference when they're having actual combat.

"It seems someone boosts your confidence, huh? But, don't leave behind. I'll annihilate those monsters before you do." Yumiro said as he wanted to challenge this woman. Not to have completion on who was the one who could kill a lot of monsters. He did it, to add some motivation to her.

Hippie chuckled. "I know no matter how many times I tried I can't stand against you. However, you can't leave me behind." She said, then added. "And you're right, there's someone who motivated me to continue this. I'm holding this for too long, I can't accept if I just fell in this kind of situation."

'Family, huh?! You're lucky someone caring for you until now. Me and my sister face this world without getting any help from my parents. You should embrace your desire until you make it come true.' He uttered to his mind, then started to concentrate his energy on his legs.

75 meters far away from them, the monsters there were had two different types of species. The other one was Gobogrens the mixed breed of Ogre and Goblin. While the other one had a similar appearance with the Hiller knight, yet it was releasing a different aura. So Yumiro pointed his index finger into it for 3 seconds.

A blue viewscreen appeared right before his eyes.

[Monsters name: Trivial Soldiers]

- Long time ago these soldiers are defending the Barlane palace from intruders. They're skilled soldiers that could eliminate an enemy in just the blink of an eye.

- Type <Dark> <Soul>

- Could weaken with light attack.

Yumiro clicked his tongue as he recognized when his playing time enlarged in the VR world. The information was given by the system was started to become shallow.

'Shit, this is shorter than I expected. However, we have an information on how we could defeat those monsters.' He darted his eyes at Hippie and said. "Hippie, I'll leave you the 2 trivial soldiers you can think you can handle them?"

She nodded while slashing the Kobold's knife left and right. "Of course, who did you think you're thinking? Just kidding, but I think I can handle them." She replied with a smile on her face.

"You can still say a joke, huh. However, I suggest using your [Fiery sword] skill. You can weaken those monsters by continuously slashing." Yumiro ordered her, then pointed his feet where was the precise location of Gobogren.

"I understand, you can leave it to me. But, are you sure that you can with those Gobogrens? They're not the same as the monsters you fought earlier." She warned her after seeing the physical strength of that monster was enhanced.

"You should be worried about yourself, I can handle this. Don't die."

"Yeah... You're right. But, I'm happy that I can fight beside a strong adventurer like you, Grim." She mumbled, then dashed into her location.

[Fiery sword!]

After he spits those words directly charged at the Gobogrens. To begin with, the 6 monsters had 3 classified utilized weapons. The 2 Gobogren was using sharp gauntlets or to be exact, it was the item when the first time he fought it. The other two were holding spears with a wooden handle, the threat here when they swung it. As they were easily blown away by an ordinary adventurer. The last two were using wooden armor, but still, using their elevated strength could inflict high damage.

"This is interesting, let see what you can do. Bastards!" Yumiro dashed under the monsters as he was optimistic he could win this fight without any single scratch.

"Don't let me down. Give me what you got, please give me the satisfaction with your powers." He said while snickering.

On the other hand, Hippie suddenly felt a chill on her bones after hearing Grim's words not far away from them.

"Eh? What is the meaning of his personality right now? His coldness and soothing face turned into a different one." Hippie was clueless about him. But, all those things were faded away when her ears perceived by keen sounds.

Her eyelids were widened when the one Trivial soldiers used its silver spear to stab her neck.

"Oi! Oi! Oi! This monster is so fast. Yet, I don't think you can hit me."

Hippie suspiciously smiled, then started one her skill.

Her body was emitting a gleaming white light along with the red light. As her blood earlier soaked on her white robe.

- It can enhance her agility by 12% and increased her critical chance by 7%. The critical hit would apply once it hit the vital points.

Hippie also enhanced her physical strength while too much light enough reason for the in front of her to step back.

"Look at her, she's like walking Christmas lights. Hff..." Yumiro stopped himself from laughing while dodging the monsters' attack at once.

"I can hear you, Grim! Don't laugh at me." Hippie responded and knowing this man was mocking her.

"Oh, don't play with a sharp weapon. It's dangerous."

Sound of two steel screeching two each other was perceived by their ears. And there was a sparkling light dripping on their weapons.

She smiled, then pushed the monster's spear back to itself. "Wow? I can't believe it. This knife and the strength had so much power. I-I can deny it, this weapon surpassed my expectation right now."

Hippie was started to wonder where Grim loot all that kind of knife. "Tch, somehow I felt jealous of him. However, I think he deserved all the attention and the item he had right now."

Swoosh! Swoosh!

Then suddenly, the two Trivial soldiers attack her at once.

[Punishing slash!]

"Thanks for the damage you given with this sword. I can back it to you two-fold."

A green light emitting on her knife, as it gathering her strength into it. Then swung her right hand as she wanted to split the monster's body into two pieces.

"Take, this! Let's end this in one slash!" She yelled, then released her power without any hesitation.

Swish!

The monster's tried to block the adventurer's attack by using the metal handle of its spear. However, its timing and reaction were too late as Hippie's knife tearing the monster's body.

She darted her eyes to the left side, seeing the monster gathering a black aura in the endpoint of its spear.

Swoosh!

"Too slow, and I already said. You can't hit me with the speed that you had right now. It's impossible."

Within the 30 meters distance away from the monsters, Hippie was suspiciously smiling at them.

"Alright--"

She was startled when she saw the monster's split body was starting to connect with each other. "Oi! Oi! Oi! What's going on? I'm sure I drained that monster's HP? Why it could stand up that seemed there's no something happened, huh?" 

The trivial soldier was started to slowly crawl up with a green line that connected to her back.

"Grim, finish those monsters! Help me with this! The monsters here are unstoppable, the damage I deal it's just nothing to them."

After Yumiro hearing his screen name, he took a glance at it. "Hey, you're back. Dodge it, idiot!"

"Eh? Where is this monster came from, huh?!"
